Tess came in with the bra the one tech had been wearing. "That moron was going to wear this back to the station. Can you believe it?" Tess said while she held up the bra, then putting it on the back of the couch.

"Let's go home," I told her.

I had to call Aleza to get her alarm code so I could set it. With Aleza's house now secure-ish, we made our way home, where we pulled into the drive just as the sun set for the evening. I was starving and wanted to get some food in me, but I had to check on Nadia to see how she was doing. I had no sooner walked into the house and shut the door than I had Nadia and the twins hugging me. I moved us to the den and had them sit. "I have some bad news," I told them.

"Go ahead and say what it is," Nadia said to me.

Hearing Nadia's voice for the first time had me wondering how anyone could hurt a person with such an angelic voice. Nadia cleared her throat to get my attention. "Ahhhhh, well, I don't know how to say this, so I'll do the Band-Aid thing and just say it: Patrick is dead. He brought out a gun and was shot by the cops," I told them.

"What's the bad news?" Nadia asked.

"Well, ummmm, ahhhhhhhh, that was it." I told her.

Without saying another word, Nadia and the twins got up and walked out of the room, leaving me standing there scratching my head as to what had just happened. I walked out of the den to see them going upstairs, so I made my way to the kitchen to get some food; I was hungry. I started to get tired as I was eating, so when I finished eating, I went to take a shower. Not thinking there might be someone in our shower, I walked in on the twins helping Nadia, causing me to think, 'If Patrick wasn't already dead, I would kill him.'

I saw that Nadia's body was covered in bruises and scars, so I turned and left the bathroom before I broke. I called for GG, Aleza, and Maureen to meet me in the den. When they got there, they could see that I was both mad as hell and heartbroken. "I need you three to take Nadia to the doctor and have her checked out tonight! I don't care how much it costs; just get it done," I said to GG.

They went upstairs, and a few minutes later came back down. As all of them, including Ophelia, were standing at the door about to leave, I told them, "I want to go, but I'm so sleepy." Nadia walked over to me and kissed me on the lips, saying, "Go and rest, my knight; you have earned it," and then turned, going back over to the others as they went out the door. With a heavy heart, I made my way to my bed and was quickly flanked by beautiful women. As fast as my head hit the pillow, I was asleep.
