Marcie and Leo Ch. 176

To be honest, I do not have a definable style. At work usually, I am a khaki and polo shirt person sometimes. There are a few days a month I do put on a suit for meetings with board members or with new customers. Because I am usually a home body, my attire at home is usually sweatpants and a T-shirt. When we do go out, I do put on a pair of jeans because Marcie prefers me in them. My shirts depend on whether it's warm or cold and whether I am wearing a jacket. I am not a stylish person at all.

Marcie is the direct opposite. Her outfits when we go out consist of jeans and nice tops. She is consistent, but she's classy with it. Of course, in my mind, she looks gorgeous while I look like a schlub.

It isn't that we are financially challenged. Honestly, I could have hired a stylist and whatever. That's just not what I do. I'm not looking fancy. I want to be comfortable when I go out. It was this mindset when a chain western wear store opened in a nearby town. It was a silly thought on my mind. Whenever we go to the western bar that we like, I look very plain while Marcie looks amazing. It was a thought that I would check it out just maybe for a nice shirt to wear.Marcie and Leo Ch. 176 фото

The store was quiet since it was open for a few weeks already. As I walked through, I strived to avoid the gaze of the store attendants. Contrary to popular belief, I dislike dealing with pushy salespeople. Except for my best friend, I try the best I can to avoid them. The woman that walked up to me was not pushy. She was rather reserved. She asked me a few questions about what I was looking for before guiding me towards what I could like. It was friendly and very low-pressure. I settled for a couple of long-sleeved T-shirts and a burgundy dress shirt. To surprise Marcie, I attempted to carry them into the house win my briefcase.

Have I mentioned lately how psychic Marcie can be?

"What are you up to, Leo?" she asked, the curious look on her face.

I smiled at her.

"I bought some long-sleeved shirts."

She looked at me.

"You want me to help hang them up?"

I resigned myself to my fate as we went into the bedroom and grabbed hangers. As we undid the stickers and tags off the first one, she noticed the color.

"I didn't see you wearing a bright red, Leo," she replied.

"You said I needed more color, Amor."

She smiled when she saw the heather green.

"I love this one. Do you mind if I wear it sometimes?"

I smiled. Then the moment of truth. She saw the burgundy dress shirt and her mouth went open.

"Were you thinking what I thought you were, Leo?"

"I want to match my love on the dance floor with her sundress."

She pulled back a little before she smiled.

"I love the fact you're thinking color, Leo."

I smiled from the complement.

"So how long had that western shop been open?"

"Only a few weeks. Wanna check it out?"

"Sure, can we go this weekend?"

We agreed upon it and decided to make a day out of it. The rest of the week was quiet until that day. We decided to wear casual clothes before going to our favorite Mexican spot for lunch. As we dug into our meals, I could see the wheels moving inside Marcie's mind. It was as we finished our waters that she spoke on it.

"I think we should go out tonight."

"Where to?" I automatically said.

Usually, we're home bodies. We have discussed that before on this platform. Still there were times we did go out just to do something different.

"Well, since we're checking out a new western wear shop, we could either go to that bar we like that has the dancing or maybe your favorite karaoke spot. Which do you feel like doing?"

I thought about it for a moment. I then looked at Marcie and smiled.

"Let's go looking at the shop first. Maybe your selection if you find something will inspire me."

It was with that in mind that we headed into the store to look around. There were fragrances, work wear, hats and different clothing in the Western genre of fashion. We walked around for a bit before the same friendly associate walked towards us. She offered her assistance which, surprisingly, Marcie took her up on. I ended up finding a seat and waiting while Marcie found a few blouses to try on. I was curious whether she was thinking with pairing them up with the jeans she already had at home.

We ended up leaving with a few blouses before we headed home. Regardless of where we were going to go that night, I knew that Marcie would sparkle. The thought of this made me smile as we drove into the driveway.
