Chapter - 2

The next day dad and other moms came to have a talk with me.

As I woke up, my eyes stopped working, I went blind.

To replace this, I sharpened my other senses and used a magic sense for better perception.

I covered my eyes with black cloth which I created using matter creation. I could use other clothes but if made by matter creation the cloth will be light and pure and I don't have to wash it repeatedly.

I sensed footsteps approaching the house. 'They finally came' I walked downstairs to open the door.

Dad was trying to open the door, but I opened it first. "Come in everyone" I said.

Dad replied "what happened to your eyes?".

"I just went blind this morning. Nothing to worry about, come sit" then I guided them to my study.

The study room was rather simple with a cushion on the one side with a wooden stand to rest my hand and use its support, and other cushions to let the guests sit.

"Why is it empty?" Asked Scarlett.

I turned towards her and replied "It's not empty, we have to sit on our legs. Let me show you" I showed them to sit in a seiza position.

"This way I can relax and rest my body. If you don't want to sit in it I can bring a sofa for you to sit" I said.

"You don't have the body to carry heavy things. How will you do it?" Asked dad with a serious face.

"I can just create it" then I created a sofa for them to sit on as I sit on the cushion.

"W-where did it come from?" Asked Alicia.

I replied "As I told you Alicia okaa-sama, I created it"

"Create you say?" Dad asked.

"Yes, father. I can create matter and control it" and explained to them about my skill and about how my body will only last until I reach 18 years and then it will decompose.

"Worry not everyone. I won't die even after I reach 18." and then continued "I can just create a new body to inhabit. For that I have to use some of my father's and mother's blood, and some cells".

"Why would you need my and Olivia's cells, and what are cells.?" Dad asked.

"I was born inside my mother, and also from the cells of my father. You understand what I was saying" I asked dad.

He cleared his throat and said " Y-yes, and what about cells?".

"Everyone close your eyes. I will show it to you" they closed their eyes and I briefly showed them about fertilization and growth of the body while explaining it a little.

"You can open your eyes now. As you saw every child is made up of cells of both parents. That's why I need a little help from my father and mother." I turned and looked towards Alicia and Scarlett "Of course, I can use either Alicia okaa-sama's or Scarlett okaa-sama's cells".

They looked at each other and then towards me. "You can use ours also. But how? Aren't you Olivia's child" asked Alicia.

"As I have told you before, of my skill. I can create matter, that means I can also create life. I can also use cells of all four of you to create a body. Then I would be a child of four parents." I replied.

They were shocked for a while and talked among themselves for a bit. "Go ahead, you can use all of us."

"Yes, thank you father, Olivia okaa-sama, Alicia okaa-sama and Scarlett okaa-sama."

I let them sit for a few minutes. And took their blood and small tissues from their fingers.

"That's it?" Asked Olivia okaa-sama.

"I don't need a large amount, a few samples are fine," I replied.

"Then what about yesterday? You did something to not let anyone touch you" asked dad.

"I did it because everything in my body is poison to every living being including myself. I can just bear it for a while until a new body is created, but for others it's not easy. Even a single drop of my blood can kill you. But worry not, my surrounding space is in my control. Nothing will come in or out of this space." I explained.

"Oh, my son..." Olivia was making a sad face.

"Don't worry Olivia okaa-sama. I will surely be back when I get a new body" I smiled.

"If you need anything come and ask me, Vincent" dad said and stood up to go back to the main mansion.

As I was getting up to escort them out. I spat blood from my mouth. They were coming towards me but I showed my hand by not allowing them near me.

"Cough... sorry father, I can escort you back." I said.

"Don't worry, we will go back on our own. You rest for now" replied dad.

"Yes, thank you father" then they went to the main mansion.

Then I asked Iris to consume the blood and cells from my parents in my body, and create a new body from inside.

«It will take a few years to complete and to replace it with your current body, papa»

'Hurry and finish it before I reach 18. Use your every effort to finish it.'

«Yes, then I will use 100% on this task. I will inform you after the completion».

Five years passed and now I am 15 years old. The decaying of my body is slow thanks to Iris. In these 5 years I haven't come in physical contact with anyone.

It was hard to stand or sit continuously. Every Time i was in my room, I only went for meals. I would be far from my family and servants.

Sometimes my siblings and parents came to check up on me. We would talk for a little while in my study.

Every three years, the people in this world celebrate their birthdays. My birthdays went well till I reached 9 years. When I reached 12 years old, I refused to do a celebration. On birthdays family and friends are invited to enjoy a party.

But I told dad not to celebrate mine and if people asked tell them a reason about my health not being well.

He agreed. For my siblings' birthdays I wished them early before their party started and stayed far from everyone in my room.

After Kate reached 15 years, she went to attend an academy present in the capital city of our kingdom.

Children of nobles receive education in their homes until they reach 15. After that they attend an academy present in the capital city.

But common people's children receive education in academies present in their respective cities. And when they reach 15, they also attend the capital's academy by passing an entrance exam.

Nobles can attend without an entrance exam, but commoners can't. That's how the education system is in this world.

I was 2 months away from reaching 15 years. Iris informed «Papa, your new body is completed. »

I replied 'What? it's already completed. I thought it would not be ready before I reach 18.'

«You told me to use my every ability. So I left other stuff and focused only on this. So it was completed early of schedule»

'You are a very good Iris, good girl' I said with a smile.

«Thank you, papa»

That evening I told my parents to visit me the next day. Then I ate dinner and went to sleep.

Next morning four of them came. We went to my study and Olivia said "What happened Vincent? Is it because of your body? D-don't tell me you failed!".

I replied "No, Olivia okaa-sama. I have good news, my body was completed earlier than I expected. That's why I called to inform you."

After hearing that everyone was happy "The reason I called you is because I wanted you to witness the rebirth of me. And the main reason is... after I transfer to my new body and if I am not the same person I want you to kill me if you deem that I am a dangerous person."

"What are you trying to say!?" Said dad.

I looked at him for a while and replied "What I am trying to say is, I don't know if I will be the same person as I am now. I know you four are the strongest in this city. Of course I will dispel this technique of me to stop people from touching me. That way you can kill me."

They were arguing about how they could kill me, their son. "How could I do that to my own child?" Olivia started to cry.

I smiled and replied "If I don't do this, I will eventually die from decaying. This is the only way that I can continue living."

Dad was serious, "How can we know that you are the same person?"

I raised my index finger and replied "There is a way. We will decide on a code word, if I don't say it then it means the rebirth is a failure."

"Hmm... What is the code word?" dad asked.

"After the process you will ask me 'What do you want?' and I will answer 'Everything'. If I fail to answer your question. You have to kill me, and the person who is not me will be weaker than, at least that I can say with a guarantee."

They talked with themselves for a while and replied "Yes, we are ready".

"Good, let's start" then I activated a barrier technique around me. The way it worked was dad, mom, Alicia and Scarlett, these four people can attack me from outside. But I can't come outside or attack.

I started to float a meter above the floor. Slowly my body cells began to replace, my hair which was golden in color changed to light golden. My body gained weight to fit my height and age. My skin became smooth white, and my face changed into a beautiful and handsome teen. Then the clothes which I created disappeared, showcasing my new body.

Then the light subsided and I reached the floor. I slowly opened my eyes, dad gulped and asked me "What do you want?".

I shrugged back my long light golden hair behind, looked at him and said "Everything".

After my rebirth I asked Iris to create an imaginary space in my stomach. That imaginary space will absorb mana at every moment.

My new stomach was also like a prison, no information from outside or inside would interfere with it.

I had absolute control of this imaginary space. The mana that I absorb will not be leaking outside. The space was vast and infinite with no end.

They looked at each other with happy faces. I dispelled the barrier, and moved closer to them.

The moms were looking at body and dad said "Vincent, your clothes".

I was originally good looking before but now I am refined beautifully. People can recognise me if they see the new me.

The simple clothes which I used to wear before are looking grand because of my beauty.

All of them were staring in awe, then Alicia said "Don't you look more beautiful than before?"

I smiled and replied "Did you forget whose cells I used? All four of you are my parents, then this body is a product of all of you. Of course I will be handsome and beautiful if I have three beautiful mothers and a handsome father.

After hearing that Olovia, Alicia and Scarlett were very happy. Then they were coming to hug me but couldn't reach.

Olivia Scarlett said "Isn't it fine to touch you now?"

"Oh, yeah I forgot" I said.

'Iris, Make it automatic selection of targets, and the target will be me. It has to discern an object's danger level based on the strength of magic, its mass, its velocity, its shape and poisons. By doing this will allow me to use minimal mana. And name this technique 'absolute barrier'.

Then I replied to my parents "You can touch me now." After I said that, my mothers hugged me and was crying.

"Haha, why are you crying everyone?" I asked.

"These are tears of happiness!" Said Olivia.

And then Iris informed me of an important part of this rebirth. «Individual Vincent and individuals Alicia, Joseph, Olivia and Scarlett are connected through the soul corridor».

Others also heard this voice in their heads. They were shocked and asked me about what it was, so I asked Iris to explain to me.

The explanation was this new body that was created with the use of cells of my four parents. Our souls are connected because of this process.

Then I explained it to others, they listened and asked some questions. I asked Iris to answer the questions and told them. They didn't believe this was possible, but accepted.

We talked for a while and they left at noon. I went to the main house to meet my siblings. All of them were shocked to see me healthy. Charles congratulated me, Eve and Shelly stuck to me until evening.

I roamed around the house for a while. Then dinner time came, we gathered and after a long time we enjoyed ourselves in a good mood.

Olivia asked "But Vincent, Kate doesn't know about your situation. What will you do?".

"I have more than a month left for my 15th birthday. When I go to the academy afterwards. At that time I will tell her, it will be a surprise." I replied.

We talked for a while and I thought it would be good to return to my previous room. I asked dad, he approved. Then we went to sleep.

The next day I asked servants to shift my things and furniture back to my old room.

Now that I was healthy, dad asked if we should have a party for my 15th birthday. I agreed, then he started to send invitations.

We enjoyed the party and then went to sleep. After a few days dad told me the date of my departure. I packed necessary things, said my goodbyes to everyone and left my city.

My father was a Marquess and he ruled our city (Kydalia). There are seven cities in the kingdom, all cities except the capital city (Myrenes) are ruled by Marquesses.

It took me three days to reach by carriage. Everytime a student is sent to Myrenes, soldiers and city teachers are also sent to escort them till they reach their destination and enroll them in the academy.

After they enroll the escorts return to the city. When I reached, a simple exam was held to determine which class a student should be assigned. I got a perfect score in magic and average in the physical exam.

I was assigned to the Elite Class. The classroom and dorms are luxurious to Elite and Advanced Classes.

Students were not allowed to contact or go outside the academy. Everything needed was inside the academy. Student's safety was their first priority.

The next day I ran into Kate, she didn't recognise me at first. When she realised I was here she ran to me with a smile, and I hugged. I told her it was okay to make physical contact, and she started crying.

We talked during breaks about what happened. She was also in the Elite Class and my senior by a year.

I started studying magic and training my body. After a month Charles also enrolled and was in the same class as me.

We would be busy with our studies, but meet with each other if we had free time.

A year passed, me and Charles were now second year students and Kate was third year student. This was her last year in this academy.

New first year students enrolled, Eve and Shelly also came. All siblings met with each other in their free time.

Little did we know about what was happening outside the academy and capital.

I created a surveillance magic that covered our continent. I could see the visuals and hear voices about everything that happened.

After a year Kate graduated, she was ranked 9th in her class. We all gathered and said our goodbyes.

Finally it was my third year. In the first year I was ranked 1st in magic and 3rd in physical exams. In second year, ranked 1st in both magic and physical exams.

In the third year the competition was tough because it was the last year. I guided and trained Charles, when the exams arrived we went our ways.

In our third year me and Charles reached 18 years old. We celebrated with Eve and Shelly and a few friends.

Then the results came, I was ranked 1st again in both magic and physical. Charles was ranked 5th in both.

After graduation, all students were guided to a room and were informed about what was happening in the outside world.

The demon king has invaded our continent. Humans, dwarves, elves and demi-humans were at war with the demons.

The war started immediately after Eve and Shelly enrolled. I knew what was happening with my surveillance magic, the demon lord was strong. They invaded Etrugia Kingdom first through sea.

When the king received information about the demon king's attack. The order was issued to prepare for war.

Since Kydalia and Crotosia were close to the army, these two cities fell first. The people evacuated to Manteos and Caressa.

Our family is currently in Manteos. Since dad was a Marquess, he was at the front lines fighting.

Many other nobles fled to Myrenes. The half of the demon king's army died when they took control of Etrugia Kingdom.

Many of Etrugia's people died and the ones that got lucky escaped to Graistan and Yuwen kingdom.

All the students were shocked to hear about the war. We were given the choice to join the war or not.

I knew dad was on the battlefield and our city was destroyed. If I chose not to join the war, I had nowhere else to go since my home was destroyed.

I volunteered to join the war, Charles argued with me for a while.

"Did you not hear? Our home and city is destroyed" then I continued "I am sure our family went to Manteos, since it's safer than Caressa." I replied.

"I am joined the fight. Father is a Marquess, he will be on the frontlines fighting. We will go to Manteos immediately and join our family" I said.

"But what about our sisters? Eve and Shelly don't know anything about this." Charles asked with a worried face.

I placed my hand on his shoulder and replied "Don't worry. Since this is the capital city, the academy will protect the students. Before they graduate the war will be over ". Now I was angry, my face was tense "I will kill every demon that puts my family in danger."

He got quiet after hearing my words. We said goodbyes to our sisters and exited the academy.

The people outside were in a hurry and worried for their lives. The places were overcrowded, so we went to the outskirts of the city and rode supply carriages that went to Manteos.

The soldiers asked for our identification and permission papers to leave the capital.

I was given papers from the academy that told me I will be joining the battlefield. Charles had permission to leave Myrenes, after we showed our papers we were allowed to leave.

It took us one and a half day to reach Monteos. We showed our identification and entered. The view was a mess, soldiers were everywhere.

It took us three hours to find our family. They were in an inn, all of our family and branch families were present there.

We reunited with Olivia, Alicia and Scarlet. Charles and I freshen up and sat with our mothers to talk about the situation.

The elders and children were evacuated first. After that adults evacuated with their valuables.

Joseph, Olivia, Alicia and Scarlett took most of the valuables and left Kydalia with branch family members and soldiers.

After they settled in this inn, those who wanted to fight joined the army and were fighting.

"Did Kate onee-sama also join the frontlines?" I asked.

"Y-yes, she didn't listen to us. If your father was present here he would have never allowed her to join." Replied Oliva.

I sighed heavily and said "I knew she would be joining, idiot onee-sama!" Then Continued "Well... I will also be joining in the frontlines"

When they heard that, all three of them argued. But I didn't change my mind.

I decided to join the next day. I activated my absolute barrier technique around everyone from main and branch family members.

When they asked I told them that it was for their safety. We ate dinner and I left the next morning.

"Take good care of you, and return safely." Said Olivia with a sad face.

"I'll be going" I said that and left. I enlisted and was assigned to dad's battalion. Kate was also there, so I went to the dad's tent to introduce myself.

I walked in and introduced myself "Good morning, Colonel Joseph! I am Vincent Stelzer, I was just assigned to your squad! I specialize in magic attacks and support! What orders do I have sir!?"

Kate was secretary for dad and was discussing defence strategies.

Kate got happy to see me and was coming towards me but "Vincent Stelzer, what is your rank?" Dad asked with a serious face.

I replied "I was assigned a few moments ago Colonel! I have not given a rank yet!"

Kate, who was coming, stopped and went back to dad and stood beside him.

"Summon Captain James!" dad shouted.

Someone replied yes from outside the tent and after a minute a person came.

"Did you call for me Colonel?" the captain asked.

"This person is Vincent Stelzer. He is a new member and I am assigning him to your squad. Test his strength and give him a rank accordingly." Said dad.

Captain James paused for a while and thought 'Stelzer?' and replied "Is he related to you, Colonel?"

"Is there a problem with that Captain James!" Dad spoke with a loud voice.

Captain stood stiff and replied "N-no Colonel there is no problem".

"Then you are dismissed" dad said that and was continuing his work.

I followed captain James outside and we went to his office tent. He asked me how I was related, and i him that I was Colonel Joseph's son.

He sighed "Why do I have to babysit Colonel's son?" And mumbled.

"Then let's test your strength, follow me."
