One ninety-five again this morning, so the changes were definitely settling in. My appetite was also down to normal levels. Just a few days ago, I had been morbidly obese - nearly three hundred pounds at only five-foot-eight. Now, I was nearly six-foot, with the lean, cut body of a professional athlete, and a dick that would be the envy of any locker room. This morning, I decided to go for a quick 5K run with my shirt off. It extended to a 10K, and six cars honked their appreciation at me. At a stoplight, a Mercedes rolled down its window, and a beautiful older woman asked me if I was looking for a sugar mama. I just laughed and sprinted home.
Unsure what to tell my boss and coworkers, I called in to work from home again. After wrapping up the day before noon, I also decided to check in with my doctor. These changes seemed too good to be true. What if something bad was going to happen after all these changes?
The doctor laughed once I had him on the phone. "What do you mean 'dramatic changes?' You were expecting changes, weren't you?"
"Yes, absolutely, but these are, well, these changes are much more than I imagined possible."
"Like I told you, Potentialli works by unlocking your genetic potential. It's different for everyone. If you're experiencing significant changes, it simply means that your potential was greater than average. You should be happy, Dan! How many of us ever get to live out our full potential? You'll be one of the few who get to enjoy this fantasy."
"Excuse me? What do you mean?"
"The FDA has cancelled the drug trial. No reason given. There were no harmful side effects reported. They simply said the funding had run out. Between you and me, they want to keep the benefits for themselves. The head of the FDA appeared quite a bit fitter at the press conference. I kept a few doses for myself and my staff, too. I would say that I'll see you soon, but I doubt you'll need to see a doctor for a long time. Best of luck, Dan."

Sarah was due back from her work trip this evening, and I wanted to surprise her with a home-cooked meal. Cooking had never been my strong suit, yet the perfect menu presented itself in my imagination. Beef carpaccio with truffle aioli, crispy-skinned duck breast served with a rich blackberry-port reduction, and a dark chocolate soufflé with raspberry coulis for dessert. I distantly remembered seeing this prepared on a fancy competitive cooking show years ago. Every step of the recipe was crystal clear to me, I knew exactly what additional cooking equipment I needed from the store, and I even had rough ideas for wine pairings for each course.
I wore tight black jeans and an extra tight black t-shirt to the grocery store. Once again, I felt like I was under constant surveillance from all the stares. While waiting at the butcher counter, an extremely good looking young man, maybe twenty-five, came up beside me and asked if I knew what meat I was looking for. He was thin, with a runner's build, wearing a mesh shirt. I could see barbell piercings in his nipples.
"Hmm," I said. "Something big and hot?"
He laughed and walked away. "Too fast, daddy. Is this your first time fishing? I see that ring. Look me up if you need a third." I smiled to myself and finished shopping.
The cashier, a thirty-something woman with incredible cleavage, wouldn't make eye contact with me. Instead of tapping my phone to pay, I handed her my debit card, lightly touching her hand as I did. She noticeably shivered.
----
A few hours later, the meal was plated, the wine poured, and the lights turned down low. Sarah had always complained about the house being a mess when she returned from a trip, so I had made sure to clean everything thoroughly. Ordinarily, cleaning was an incredible... chore. This time, I put on my headphones with an audiobook, gradually increasing the playback speed to 3x. The whole house was spotless. From our location sharing app, I saw that I had timed it perfectly. As I poured her glass of wine, Sarah opened the front door.
"Are you fucking kidding me, Dan? I am exhausted. What is this bullshit?"
She walked into the dining room and saw me. "Dan? Is that you? What the fuck?"
I was wearing a white dress shirt unbuttoned to my stomach, along with a new pair of slacks that made my ass look even better. Yes, it was cheesy as hell, but I also knew that I could pull it off now. And she would pull it off later.
"Hello, my love. Do you like what you see?"
Sarah's mouth was agape. "How is this possible? How are you so, so--thin? So tall?" She walked toward me as she talked. She had always been a few inches shorter than me, but now I loomed over her. Of course I had been much bigger than her, too--much fatter, I mean. Now, my wide chest and broad shoulders dominated her space.
"So, so--," she put her hand on my chest and looked up at me. "Fit."
I bent down and kissed her. She leaned into me as I wrapped my newly larger hands and more muscular arms around her waist. Her tongue hungrily explored my mouth, and she stroked my abs. At that moment, my erection reached fullness.
"Dan!" She pushed away from me. "What is that?!? Are you wearing a dildo?"
"You'll find out soon. Sit down, you must be tired. Tell me all about your trip."
After dinner, I picked her up effortlessly in my arms and carried her upstairs to bed.
----
At about two in the morning, we took a break. She lay her head on my chest and stroked my nipple. With my new larger-but-thinner frame, she could snuggle beside me with my entire arm wrapped around her.
"How is this possible, Dan? People don't just turn into underwear models overnight."
"It's Potentialli. The doctor explained that it was an engineered virus would 'unlock my genetic potential.' All of those random genetic pairings that we learned about in school? Every single one of them would re-pair to make the best possible combination. It's not just my body either. My focus is so much clearer, work is easier than ever, I have all of these ideas bursting out of me. I ordered a watercolor kit off Amazon today, and I made sketches for our backyard landscaping. The FDA pulled this drug off the market. I have no idea why, but I'm so glad I got lucky."
"Wait." Sarah raised up and turned to look at me. "You said it was an engineered virus? Is it contagious?"
"I doubt it. Ready for round four?"
