Her last period was supposed to come several days earlier. It was typical for it to be a couple of days late, but it was getting close to a week now.

It was about three weeks until the wedding. Ann wanted to ensure her period had come.

Since it had not, she decided to take a pregnancy test. It came back positive.

She had not expected this. Ann thought what a present she would have for him on the day of the wedding. She confirmed with her doctor and discovered she was about a month along.

Her dress would still fit, albeit it would be a little tight. After a beautiful ceremony and rousing reception, Ann and Quinn checked into their bed and breakfast.

As they started to remove their clothing, she decided this was the time to tell him. "Honey, I have some great news," she said softly trying not to get too excited.

"I found out three weeks ago even with taking birth control that I conceived. I'm pregnant! I wanted so badly to give you a family after the wedding, but I guess it was meant to happen when it did. I am almost two months along."

Quinn was tearing up. All the time his ex-wife blamed him for their troubles as they tried to create a family.

Ann was able to conceive without them even really trying. What a wonderful blessing for their marriage.

"I am so happy to hear that!" he exclaimed. "This is the best wedding gift I could have asked for from you. I love you so much." He reached to kiss her naked belly. She was so slender at their engagement that he could almost see the outline of a slight baby bump.

They consummated their marriage, knowing full well that they didn't have to worry about getting what they wanted, they already had it.
