1958 Pan Am Stewardess Romance

Shirley Brewer is a beautiful blonde stewardess for the Pan American World Airways airline company. She is 25 and single and tired of being single, wishing she were married. All her girlfriends back home in New York City are married. She is one of several single stewardesses, each very pretty, who are single. They all have a crush on the airline captain, Captain Stanley Benson, nicknamed Captain Stan. He is tall well built and handsome, age 31, and married with two small children. He also makes a lot of money. His wife, Kathy, is jealous of the sexy stewardesses he works with and in her insecurity believes one day her husband will divorce her in order to marry one of them. One of the pilots, Alan, who is also 25 and an aspiring country singer, has feelings for Shirley but she rejects him because she is in love with Captain Stan. During stopovers and layovers in various different locations in the US and the world - Chicago, Miami, Paris, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, London, Berlin, etc. Shirley catches Captain Stan's attention. He asks her for dinner at his hotel room and to go out into the various cities to enjoy the nightlife. They get to know each other and begin to carry on a sexual affair. Shirley believes that the Captain will fall for her and leave his wife Kathy. Kathy hires a private investigator to discover the affair she suspects her husband is having. She finds out about Shirley and the P. I., Morris Crawford, offers Shirley five thousand dollars in cash in order to end the affair with Captain Stan. She tells Captain Stan about this and he tells her that the affair is over and that he must reconcile with his wife. Shirley is heartbroken. Finally she decides to give Alan a chance. He serenades her with one of the country songs he's written and will submit for a recording studio in Nashville. He shows significant talent with his singing voice. Shirley decides to begin dating Alan.
