The cabin had already seen its fair share of awkward moments, but that was just the first night. Tia, Dana, Ted, and Ned were all feeling each other out--figuratively and literally and trying to figure out how this unsupervised weekend would unfold. What had started as a simple getaway had twisted into a mix of surprises, awkward laughs, and moments that left everyone thinking, "Did that really just happen?"
Dana, ever the bold one with her athletic build and confident energy, was clearly on a mission. She carried herself with the kind of swagger that made everyone notice her, whether she meant to or not. Tia, on the other hand, was her opposite--soft curves, natural beauty, and a sweetness that was instantly disarming. She didn't need to try; she just had that way of drawing people in without even realizing it.
Ted was the rugged one of the group, tall and quietly charming, the guy who seemed steady no matter the chaos around him. Ned, with his athletic frame and mischievous grin, carried an energy that balanced Ted's calm. He joked and bantered like the smooth-talker he appeared to be, but underneath it, there was a kindness that showed through in quieter moments.
The cabin was quiet as the morning light filtered through the curtains. Tia woke up nestled in Ned's arms, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort she hadn't entirely expected. His touch was gentle, protective even, like he was holding onto something precious.
"Morning," he murmured sleepily.
"Morning," she replied softly, stretching slightly but not moving too far from his embrace.
The two of them lay there for a moment longer, their connection sweet and unspoken. They were both naked but unashamed, basking in the peacefulness of the moment. Eventually, Ned shifted.
"I, uh... I really need to... you know," he said with a sheepish smile, gesturing vaguely.
Tia chuckled, her voice light. "Yeah, and I could really use a shower."
She sat up, smoothing the blanket over her lap as she turned to face him.
"I mean," Ned started, his tone playful, "I could--"
She shook her head gently, her smile warm. "I think I better, um, freshen up. You go do the same. Still have those condoms?"
With that, she slid off the bed, grabbed her things, and headed for the bathroom. Ned flopped back onto the bed with a grin, watching her go before heading to the half bath at the other end of the cabin.
In the bathroom, Tia's inner monologue was running wild. "Well, wow. Last night. I mean, he didn't, but we shared. And then he just... wow, eating me out, and it only took a few sucks for him. But then, peace. His strong body..." Her hand slid down as the heat in her thoughts turned into something she couldn't ignore. She let herself feel it, touching and teasing until her body shivered in the warm water. By the time she stepped out of the shower, she was flushed, glowing, and barely needed the towel to dry off. She hurried back to the bed they had shared, her nerves tingling with anticipation.
In the half bath, Ned was lost in his own thoughts. "What is going on? With Anna, it was just... nothing. A hit-and-run in Dana's bed. Just slip on the condom, boom, naked, and done. But Tia... Tia is different. I mean, last night, I blew my wad at the first touch, and she got off with just a bit of licking. And then we cuddled. And I felt amazing. And now she wants to use the condom. Why am I so scared?"
He splashed water on his face and dried off, trying to shake off the nervous energy. When he returned to the room, Tia was waiting for him under the covers. As soon as he shut the door behind him, she slipped the blanket down, revealing herself.
"Um, I know it's not your first," she began softly, her voice a mix of vulnerability and courage. "But it is--"
Ned cut her off gently, sitting on the edge of the bed and looking her in the eye. "Yeah, Anna... that was nothing. Just a hit-and-run. And you know what happened at the party, and that's all it was. But you? You're different."
She smiled nervously, reaching out to take his hand. "I just... I want this to be special."
"It already is," Ned said, his voice low and steady.
He leaned down, kissing her softly. The kiss deepened slowly, their breaths mingling as the nerves melted away. His hand slid to her waist, then up her back, pulling her closer as she tilted her head to meet him.
Their movements were unhurried, tender. When she nodded softly, he reached for the condom, unwrapping it with a care that felt almost ceremonial. She guided him with her hands, their eyes meeting briefly as he slid inside her. They both gasped at the connection, their bodies adjusting to the rhythm they found together.
It wasn't rushed. They moved as though time had stopped, savoring each moment. Tia let out soft, breathy sighs, her hands gripping Ned's shoulders as he pressed deeper. He leaned down, brushing kisses along her neck, murmuring her name like it was a promise.
When they finally reached their peak, it was almost simultaneous--her body tightening around him as he gasped, burying his face in her shoulder. They held each other, trembling slightly as the aftershocks faded.
Ned pulled back just enough to look at her, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "You okay?" he asked softly.
She nodded, her eyes shining. "Better than okay."
He chuckled, laying beside her and pulling her into his arms. They stayed like that, trading quiet kisses and whispered words, until Dana's voice interrupted them with an impatient bang on the door.
Rewind back in time, in the other room. As the sun was rising, Dana and Ted were sprawled on opposite sides of the bed, a stark contrast to the tangled closeness they'd shared the night before. Ted groaned as he shifted uncomfortably, breaking the silence.
"What's wrong?" Dana mumbled, her voice still heavy with sleep.
"Morning wood," Ted muttered, rubbing his face. "Just means I have to pee. Nothing, you know..."
Dana snorted, pulling the blanket tighter around her. "Great. Thanks for the update. I'm sore and definitely not getting out of this bed. But since you're up, grab me a soda and a crunch bar, would you?"
Ted chuckled, swinging his legs off the bed. "Anything else, Your Majesty?"
"Nope," she replied with a smirk, her eyes still shut. "But hurry up. I'm starving."
Ted shuffled out to the bathroom to take care of himself and grabbed the requested snacks from the kitchen. When he returned, Dana was just climbing back into bed, stark naked.
"Your soda and crunch bar, Your Majesty," Ted said with a mock bow, setting them on the nightstand. "Only the finest breakfast in bed for you."
Dana grinned as she settled back under the covers, popping open the soda. "Well, last night was the best I've ever had."
Ted raised an eyebrow, knowing it was her 1st, and kept his tone casual. "Glad I could, uh, serve."
He still couldn't believe they'd gone at it so many times. Five or was it six times, three condoms. How was that even possible?
Dana gave him a playful wave. "You're dismissed for now, but stay on call. The royal..."
She paused, searching for the words with a mischievous glint in her eye, "... scepter can rest for the time being."
Ted smirked but left without a word, feeling both amused and vaguely unsettled. It wasn't that Dana was a bad lay and both knew it was her 1st and not his--but something about the whole thing felt a little... off.
Dana didn't linger long in bed. After a quick freshen-up, she was back to her usual self. When she noticed how quiet things were next door, she couldn't resist.
"Hey! You in there! Why is it so quiet? You better not be boring!" Dana hollered, her voice carrying through the cabin walls, a clear callback to her and Ted's decidedly loud escapades the night before.
In the other room, Tia groaned, burying her face in Ned's chest as he laughed. "Guess that's our cue," he said, pressing a kiss to her forehead before they reluctantly got up to face the day.
Dana leaned against the counter, sipping her soda, her lips curved in a mischievous grin. Across from her, Tia sat at the table, stirring her cereal absentmindedly, her cheeks pink and her thoughts clearly far away. Dana knew that look well--Tia was piecing things together, taking her time like she always did.
"So..." Dana started, drawing out the word. "You and Ned."
Tia froze mid-stir, her blush deepening as she glanced up. "What about us?" she mumbled.
Dana smirked, setting her soda down and leaning closer. "Oh, come on. Don't play dumb. I saw how cozy you two were this morning as he LEFT YOUR ROOM... Did he... you know..."
She made a suggestive motion with her finger and the OK sign, her grin widening.
Tia's cheeks burned brighter, and she looked away, but there was a small smile tugging at her lips. "Maybe."
"Maybe?" Dana scoffed, plopping into the seat across from her. "Girl, details. Did he pop that cherry or what?"
Tia hesitated, glancing toward the door as if to make sure no one was listening. "Yeah, he just did,....... about a half hour ago, but not last night" she admitted softly. "But it wasn't like--"
"Like me and Ted? Last night?" Dana interrupted with a laugh. "Yeah, I get it. You weren't exactly breaking furniture. But let me tell you, I can barely walk this morning. Five times or was it 6, three condoms--my man has stamina."
Tia giggled despite herself, shaking her head. "It wasn't like that," she said, her voice quieter now. "It was... sweet. He was so gentle, and I felt like he really cared."
Dana raised an eyebrow. "Gentle? Ned? The same guy who practically bragged about getting a blowjob while grabbing boob at the party before disappearing into my room to pop Anna's cherry?"
Tia smiled, a little shy but clearly fond of the memory. "I know, right? But it was different. He was different. I mean last night he was just content for a little... mouth and um.. he just.. and I just...... It just felt... real. We slept naked in each other arms
so this morning... this morning, it just felt right to go all the way"
Dana's smirk softened, and she nodded. "Okay, I can respect that. But was it good? Like, really good? Did he--"
She mimed an explosion with her hands.
Tia's blush deepened, and she buried her face in her hands. "Dana!" she protested through her laughter. "I'm not talking about that!"
"Oh, you're definitely talking about that," Dana teased. "Better than the wand?"
Tia peeked through her fingers, her voice dropping to a shy whisper. "Better. Different. More intense. And, um..."
She hesitated, then giggled. "He just went down on me last night. And I barly sucked him... And that was enough, for last night... and then again, this morning.. well it just felt right to do it and wow, that was more then just fingers and the connection was"
Dana's eyes widened in mock disbelief. "Ned? Horn Dog Ned? No way. He waited a whole night?"
Tia nodded, her smile turning sly. "Yeah. And he was... good at.. um.. both times I got the" And Tia did the fingers going boom "boom"
Dana let out a low whistle, leaning back. "Damn. Maybe I've been underestimating him. Ted, on the other hand, barely touched me there before he, well, you know."
She grinned. "But hey, five times. I think I'm still sore."
Tia burst into laughter, shaking her head. "You're insane."
Dana leaned forward, her tone turning conspiratorial. "Insane? Maybe. But you've got to admit, this weekend's been... enlightening. I mean, you didn't think you'd ever want to, and now look at you."
Tia rolled her eyes, her expression softening. "I know. But I'm glad it was him. He made it feel... special."
Dana smiled, genuine now. "I'm happy for you, Tia. And hey, if you ever want to compare notes..."
She wiggled her eyebrows, earning another laugh from her friend.
"Dana! You're impossible," Tia said.
"And you love me for it," Dana shot back with a wink, grabbing her soda. "Now let's see if those boys are ready for today. Because I'm not done with this weekend."
"Morning," Dana replied with a playful grin as Ted climbed down from the loft where his clothes were stashed. "How's it feel to wake up in paradise?"
Ted chuckled, glancing at her briefly before his eyes flicked to Tia. She turned her head quickly, her cheeks flushing faintly. "Better now that I've got caffeine," he said, cracking open the soda.
Ned appeared a moment later from the loft, looking relaxed and happy as he joined the group. "Didn't think I'd see anyone up this early," he said, giving Tia a quick smile before sitting next to her.
Dana stretched dramatically, breaking the quiet moment. "Alright, team, what's the plan for today? Canoeing? Hiking? Or should we just see where the day takes us?"
Ted leaned against the counter, his gaze flicking to Tia. "Let's just take it easy this morning. There's plenty of time for plans later."
Tia smiled softly, her voice quiet. "I'm good with whatever."
As the group shifted into casual breakfast chatter, Tia couldn't shake the lingering questions in her mind. It wasn't about being mad at Dana or even about Ted--it was about figuring out what she wanted and how she fit into everything. But with three nights left to go, there was still plenty of time to find some answers.
After breakfast, Ted and Ned leaned against the porch railing as the lake glinted in the morning sun. It was one of those quiet moments between brothers where the words came easy, no need for pretense or overthinking. Ted glanced sideways at Ned, his expression somewhere between amused and curious. "So... you and Tia. Nothing happened?"
Ned hesitated, running a hand through his hair before letting out a small sigh. "I mean... something happened," he admitted, his voice quieter than usual. "But I don't know, man. She's... different. Sweet, innocent, and it's like..."
He paused, searching for the words. "I just feel like I need to protect her, you know? Treat her like... I don't know... like she's this fragile thing."
Ted raised an eyebrow, his expression thoughtful. "Fragile? Tia? The same girl who made it through that rock-climbing trip last summer without breaking a sweat?"
Ned chuckled softly. "Yeah, but this is different. It's not about what she can handle physically. It's just..."
He trailed off again, shaking his head. "I don't know, man. She deserves someone who's not gonna rush things, someone who gets her. So, yeah, I held back. And honestly? I think that was growth for me or something."
Ted let out a laugh, nudging his brother's shoulder. "Growth? From the guy who thought a 5-pack of condoms was a 'just in case' scenario?"
They both laughed, the sound echoing over the stillness of the lake. Ned grinned sheepishly. "Alright, fair point. But what about you and Dana? You can't tell me you planned that."
Ted shook his head, laughing. "Planned it? Do I look like a guy who had a say in the matter? That girl made up her mind the second we got here. Dana's... a freight train. You either get on board, or you get run over."
Ned laughed louder this time. "Yeah, that tracks. So... how many of those condoms did you use, anyway?"
Ted smirked, turning his gaze back out to the lake. "Three. And believe me, we used them."
He paused, a faint laugh under his breath. "And to think, you were the one saying nothing was gonna happen."
Ned's grin widened as he leaned back against the railing. "Guess we were both wrong, huh?"
For a moment, they stood there in comfortable silence, the morning sun warming their skin, the sound of birds chirping in the distance. The unspoken understanding between them lingered--neither judging the other, both trying to figure out what the weekend might hold. One thing was clear: it was shaping up to be just as unpredictable as the night before.
The midday sun blazed down as Dana dragged Ted into the tiny general store near the cabin. "We need supplies," she declared, grabbing a basket. "Snacks and--you know, essentials."
Ted sighed, trailing after her. "Couldn't this wait? It's not like we're in a rush."
Dana shot him a grin. "What if we are?"
She headed straight for the aisle with condoms, tossing a box of 20 into the basket alongside chips and soda. Ted turned pink, muttering, "This feels like a setup."
At the register, Dana chatted breezily with the cashier while Ted tried to look anywhere but at the box being scanned. As they stepped toward the door, a loud alarm blared. Ted froze, but Dana burst out laughing, waving the receipt. "We paid! I swear!"
The cashier waved them off, but Ted's face was already beet red. Dana could hardly contain her laughter as they left. "Come on, it's not that big of a deal," she said between giggles. "Just a little alarm--literally and figuratively."
Ted groaned. "I'm never living this down."
"Oh, definitely not," Dana teased, climbing into the car. "But hey, it's a great story!"
Back at the cabin, Dana recounted the incident with exaggerated flair, making Ned laugh until his sides hurt. "The whole store heard it?" Ned asked, smirking.
"Oh, yeah," Dana said, grinning. "Ted looked like he wanted to crawl under the counter."
Ted groaned from the couch. "I wasn't that bad."
"You were," Dana said, throwing him a wink. "The cashier probably wanted to give us a gift just to get us out."
Ned slapped his knee, laughing. "Man, Ted, I wish I'd seen it. You fumbling like a nervous teenager."
Ted shot him a look, but Tia nudged his arm with a soft smile. "Hey, I think it's cute. You handled it well."
Dana raised her soda. "Excuse me, I handled it with charm!"
"Charm?" Ted quipped, raising an eyebrow. "Is that what we're calling it now?"
On the quieter side of the room, Tia leaned closer to Ted. "I mean it," she said gently. "You handled it really well. Most guys wouldn't."
Ted smiled at her, his voice warm. "Thanks, Tia. That means a lot."
Across the room, Dana and Ned kept laughing, their banter louder and full of playful energy. But between Tia and Ted, a quieter connection hung in the air, unspoken yet undeniably real. Four people, two very different dynamics--and somehow, it all worked in the chaos of their weekend retreat.
Dana pulled Ted into the bedroom after their trip to the store, her usual confidence shining through as she shut the door behind them. She sat him on the edge of the bed and knelt in front of him, her smirk teasing but with a hint of sincerity. "Alright, Mr. Embarrassed. Consider this my apology for the whole condom alarm fiasco."
Before Ted could reply, she undone his jeans and freed his dick, her warm hands stroking him gently. Her tongue darted out to taste him, teasing at first, before she took him fully into her mouth. Ted let out a low groan, his fingers tangling in her hair as she worked him with deliberate precision. Dana alternated between slow, deep strokes and playful flicks of her tongue, her movements confident and unrelenting until Ted gasped and spilled into her waiting mouth. She pulled back, smirking up at him as she wiped her lips.
"Forgiven?" she asked, her voice playful.
Ted could only nod, still catching his breath.
Meanwhile, Tia and Ned wandered off into the woods near the cabin, the late afternoon sun filtering through the trees. They walked hand in hand, their fingers loosely intertwined, but both felt a quiet sense of unease. They paused by a clearing, where Ned turned to Tia and leaned in for a kiss. It was soft and sweet, but as their lips met, it was clear to both of them that something was missing. Ned pulled back slightly, his brows furrowing as he searched her eyes.
"Tia..." he began.
She shook her head gently, giving him a small, understanding smile. "I know," she said softly. "You're amazing, but... I think we're better as friends."
Ned let out a small chuckle, nodding. "Yeah, I think so too."
They continued their walk in comfortable silence, the tension between them easing as they returned to the cabin with a newfound understanding.
The dinner table was set, and the smell of grilled chicken and roasted vegetables filled the cabin. Ted and Ned had taken over the kitchen, each bringing their own flair to the meal. Ned was all about presentation, arranging the vegetables in neat little rows, while Ted focused on seasoning and grilling to perfection.
Dana sat at the table, watching the boys work. "Okay, I'll admit it," she said with her trademark bluntness. "Ned, your plating looks like something out of a food magazine, but that doesn't mean it's going to taste good."
Ned laughed, flipping her a dishtowel. "Well, you'll just have to wait and see, won't you?"
When the food was served, the group dug in, but it didn't take long for Dana's honesty to shine through. "Okay, Ned, this looks great, but it's... bland," she said after a couple of bites.
She gestured at Ted's dish. "Now, this? This tastes amazing, but dude, you could've at least tried to make it look edible."
Ted's jaw tightened, his fork pausing mid-air. "Well, glad to know I can't win either way."
Ned burst out laughing. "I think that's Dana's way of saying we both did great--she just doesn't know how to give a compliment."
Dana smirked but didn't argue, her confidence in full force. Meanwhile, Tia, sitting quietly, glanced at Ted and noticed his frustration. She reached over, gently placing her hand on his arm. "I thought it was perfect," she said, her soft smile calming the storm brewing behind Ted's eyes. "Sometimes, the best meals aren't picture-perfect."
Ted relaxed, his tension melting under Tia's kindness. "Thanks, Tia. That means a lot."
Tia took charge of the moment, subtly orchestrating a switch of seats under the guise of dessert. Before long, Dana and Ned were seated next to each other and Ted and Tia on the other side of the table. In silence dessert was passed around. Sitting next to each other, they exchanged soft glances and smiles until, finally, Ted leaned in and gave Tia a gentle, sincere kiss on the cheek. It wasn't rushed or fiery--just perfect for the moment, much like Tia herself. Dana and Ned just looked at them, turned to each other and made kissy faces. All four just broke out into laughter.
The awkward tension from earlier dissolved into warmth as the group finished their meal.
The cabin's cozy living room buzzed with quiet energy as the group settled in for an evening movie. Dana had insisted on something "fun and edgy," and somehow, they ended up watching Frat House Fever--a raunchy, R-rated comedy full of inappropriate jokes and exaggerated escapades.
The laughter started easily enough, with everyone enjoying the lightheartedness, but as the scenes grew more explicit, both Tia and Ted shifted uncomfortably in their seats. Tia's cheeks flushed a deep pink, and she tried to hide her face behind her bowl of popcorn. Ted, sitting next to her, looked equally awkward, though he chuckled nervously at the more ridiculous moments.
Meanwhile, Dana and Ned were having the time of their lives, cheering and laughing at every outrageous moment. Dana, sprawled next to Ted with a blanket she absolutely didn't need, started sliding it over her legs. Her movements were slow, deliberate, and unmistakable. She nudged Ted with her elbow and whispered, "Bet you've never seen this in a theater."
Tia noticed the blanket shift and, without missing a beat, turned to Dana. "Seriously?" she said, her tone blunt but not harsh. "Just because I've seen you with your toys and heard you last night doesn't mean I want it here in front of me."
Dana froze, blinking at Tia's uncharacteristically direct response. Ted, caught in the middle, nodded quickly. "Yeah, uh, I've got to agree. Maybe not the time or place."
Ned, initially disappointed at the abrupt shift in mood, sighed and shrugged. "She's right," he said, his voice even. "We don't all need to be part of... whatever this is."
Dana leaned back, throwing her hands up in mock surrender. "Fine, fine. No live performances tonight."
By the time the credits rolled, the mood had shifted from playful to quietly charged. As the group started tidying up the remnants of popcorn and soda, Tia leaned close to Ned, her lips brushing his ear. "We may be friends," she whispered, her voice low and suggestive, "but we're F W B."
Before Ned could respond, Tia grabbed his hand and led him to the bedroom with a determined stride. Once the door shut, Ned raised an eyebrow and asked, "F.. W.. B?"
Tia smirked. "Friends With Benefits," she replied, her tone dripping with amusement.
In the dim light of the bedroom, Tia pulled Ned toward her, their mouths colliding in a passionate kiss. Her hands moved with newfound confidence, exploring his chest and shoulders, memorizing the way his body felt under her fingertips. Ned's hands roamed her back, pulling her closer as their kisses deepened.
Clothes disappeared in a flurry of movement, leaving both of them bare and exposed. Tia's breathing quickened as Ned's lips trailed down her neck, across her collarbone, and lower still. She gasped softly when his mouth found her breast, his tongue flicking over her sensitive nipple. The sensation sent a shiver down her spine, and her fingers tangled in his hair, urging him closer.
Ned's touch was steady, deliberate, as he worked his way down her body. Tia moaned softly when his lips grazed her inner thighs, her hips arching instinctively. His tongue teased her folds, drawing out quiet gasps and whispered pleas as he found her clit. The intensity of his attention left her trembling, and when he finally came back up, she pulled him into another heated kiss.
"Now," she murmured, her voice breathless but certain. "I want you now."
Ned didn't hesitate, reaching for the condom he'd brought with him. As he slid inside her, Tia's body twitched, adjusting to the fullness of him. Their movements were slow at first, a rhythm building between them as they found their pace. It was passionate but not rushed, their bodies moving together in perfect sync. Her nails lightly raked down his back as her legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him deeper.
Tia gasped his name as the pleasure built to an almost unbearable peak. Ned groaned in response, his thrusts growing more urgent as he chased his own release. They came together, her soft cries mingling with his deep moans as the tension finally broke. For a moment, neither of them moved, their bodies pressed together as they caught their breath.
Ned pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead before rolling to her side, pulling her into his arms. They lay there in the quiet, her head resting on his chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart. For the first time in a long time, everything felt perfectly right.
Meanwhile, in the living room, Dana stretched out on the couch, smirking at Ted. "You know, I think I'm still sore from last night," she teased, her tone playful but with an undercurrent of honesty.
Ted chuckled, sitting beside her. "You're not making me feel any less guilty, you know."
Dana laughed softly, reaching for his hand. "Guilty? Don't. It was... incredible. But maybe you can help me out with something."
She shifted, reclining back slightly. "A little massage might do the trick."
And with that, Dana stripped off the shirt Ted knew had no bra under it, and then stripped off the shorts that Ted found out had nothing under it.
Ted raised an eyebrow but didn't argue. His hands found her thighs, kneading the sore muscles with surprising tenderness. Dana let out a quiet sigh, her body relaxing under his touch. His hands moved higher, his thumbs pressing into her hips before grazing the sensitive skin between her legs.
"Better?" he asked, his voice low.
Dana sighed. "Getting there," she murmured, her legs parting slightly.
Ted didn't need further encouragement, leaning down to kiss her inner thigh. His mouth worked its way closer, and when his tongue finally found her clit, Dana let out a shaky moan.
The tension in her body melted away as Ted's tongue moved with practiced ease, drawing soft gasps and breathless pleas from her lips. When she came, her whole body trembled, her fingers gripping the blanket beneath her.
Ted kissed his way back up her body, his hands still gently massaging her hips. Dana pulled him close, her legs wrapping around his waist. She reached for the condom on the coffee table, the leftover from their purchase earlier. Ted slid it on, their movements steady and familiar as he entered her. The angle of the couch allowed for a deeper connection, their bodies perfectly aligned.
Dana's soft moans filled the room as the pace quickened, their passion building until they both found release. They stayed tangled together for a moment before Ted gently pulled away, lifting her into his arms.
"You don't have to carry me," Dana protested weakly.
"Just let me," Ted said, carrying her to the bed.
As Dana drifted off to sleep, Ted returned to the loft, giving them both a moment to breathe before the chaos of another day began.
