Literotica International Convention

The Grand City Hotel in Grand City.

The Grand Ballroom

Saturday, just after 5:00 pm

I had arrived early to make sure that everything was set up for the dance lesson I was teaching before The Grand City Gala Dinner and Dance. About two thirds of the room was filled with ten tops, most already reserved with small placards. The hotel staff were busy setting everything up and I'm sure we will be in their way, just like they will be noisier than I would like while I am teaching. The remainder of the room had the speaker's podium and the portable dance floor that had been installed on top of the fancy carpet. It wouldn't have the best dance surface, but it would be fairly soft with the extra padding of the carpet underneath.

As people began straggling in I was only a little surprised at the wide variety of people, and costumes. A few people were still dressed comfortably for a day of attending discussion's, others were clearly dressed to stay for the evening with ball gowns and suits. Those were all just normal costumes that I have seen everywhere before, though. The bondage gear and near nudity of some of the attendees was new to me. Almost everyone was following the rule of wearing their name passes on a lanyard, so it would be possible to identify who was supposed to be here. The organizers had to check id's to make sure nobody under eighteen snuck in, of course. The pictures had to match the person, but obviously a lot of the names were actually Literotica pseudonyms.Lit Con Dance Lesson фото

I was just about to go onto the dance floor when I saw the one person I was specifically meant to talk to at the convention so I walked over to her and introduced myself. I could see her name tag, "Becky", but I would have recognized her without it. Becky's blonde hair was cut into a cute bob and she smiled as I approached, but I could see in the lines around her eyes that she was still tired, and her eyes still had a trace of redness in them. She was in her late thirties, and was dressed casually, like most others she would probably change quickly after the lesson and come back for dinner.

"Hello Becky, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name is Bryan Richardson." I offered my hand and she shook it.

Then she asked, "Do I know you?"

I shrugged, "Probably not, but that depends on how much time you've spent on Literotica in the last several months. But my writer knows you, he wanted me to tell you that you are the reason he joined the site and started writing."

Becky smiled, "Oh, really? That is nice to hear."

Becky looked at me again, "But do I know you? Were you there last night?"

I gave her a quick hug, "I'll tell you if you really want to know, but we both know that you don't want to know."

Becky laughed, "That's true. But maybe I will see you during dinner?"

"I'm here alone, so maybe you would like to join me?"

"I look forward to it."

With that part of my mission completed I walked out onto the dance floor, the organizer's had offered me a headset microphone, but I've found I can usually project well enough without one.

"Good evening everyone! If you are here for the swing dance lesson, please join us on the dance floor. If you came for a swinging lesson, those are held in the rooms upstairs." A couple of people laughed, so that was worth it.

"Ok, we are going to split up; the leaders behind me, and the followers facing us. Leaders are generally men, and followers are generally women, but either role is fine. If swing dance is new to you I do suggest that you stick to whichever side you pick for the next hour. Once you get more experienced you can start going both ways."

"Leaders are going to start with their weight on the right foot, and the left foot free. Followers are the opposite, you all start with your weight on your left foot, and your right foot free."

I point to my left, "When we move we are all going to go that way, leaders to your left, and since the followers are facing us, they move to their right. Leaders will step left, right, left. And at the same time the followers will move right, left, right."

Once everyone I can see has moved, I point to my right, "Now we go back where we came from, leaders right, left, right, and followers left, right, left. Ok, we just did the first two thirds of the basic step. We will practice that a few times before we get to the last bit, the rock step."

"Followers, listen to the rhythm of my voice, and mirror what I do, but I'm going to talk to the leaders while we do this." I point to my left, "Left, right, left." Then I point to my right, "Right, left, right. Now we are going to keep doing that."

"Whatever your normal height is, I want you to bend your knees slightly and that will be your new dancing height. OK, now pulse up and down a little as you take each step. Left, right, left. Right, left, right. We will keep doing that, but I'll change what I'm saying to tri-ple step, tri-ple step so that I don't keep confusing the followers."

"OK, the next part is the rock step. For right now we will be rocking directly away from our partners. Leaders, your left foot goes back, and followers your right foot goes back. Then you return your weight to leaders right and followers left. Rock, Step. Rock, Step. Rock, step."

I turn sideways to both the leaders and followers. "You need to be careful as you do this not to take a big rock step. Really you only need to put your weight back onto the toe of whichever foot is moving, and just barely behind the foot that stays in place." I demonstrate a couple of times.

"You don't want to take a big rock step for several reasons. First, it takes time and energy to move your body through so much space. On a fast song you will get tired. Second, if you are rocking back at the same time your partner is rocking back you will run out of arm length and both stop suddenly. You never want to be the jerk on the other end of your partners arms." A few more people laugh this time, I'm glad my usual banter still works.

"Let's put the pieces together, Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock, step. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock, step."

"Great, now we are going to try doing this with a partner. There will be a slight change, though." I glance at the group of followers and pick out someone in the front who has been moving well. She looks to be in her mid twenties and her name tag reads "Amanda". What gives her away is the small small silver tiara she is wearing. "Excuse me, Princess, could you help me, please?" I offer her my left hand and pull her into the open space between the lines of leaders and followers. I whisper so only she can hear, "This is a different kind of spotlight. Are you ok with this?"

"Dancing, sure, not the other thing."

"I saw you came in with a guy, is it Jeff?"

"No, we lasted until he graduated, that guy is my new boyfriend, Mark."

Returning to the crowd of onlookers, I say, "Ok leaders, you are going to basically bring your right wrist up into your partners left armpit and put your hand on this nice solid bone here." I place my hand on Amanda's shoulder blade and then rotate the two of us to the left with that connection. "Since followers like to keep their ribs intact I can lead her to my left, and her right, with gentle pressure here."

"At the same time the follower is going to sort of trap the leaders arm with their arm, and let their left hand fall onto your shoulder. There should be some muscle tone here, but don't try to force one another. You want just enough pressure and connection to be able to read each other." With Amanda and I connected I then rotate us to the right so that everyone can see our hand positions. "If the follower maintains her connection here I can lead us to my right and her left with pressure on the inside of her arm."

"Now, our other hands need to connect as well. Leaders hold your left forearm at about waist level, parallel to the ground. Curl your fingers like you are holding a cup. Follower's, curve your fingers into a c shape and hook them over the top of that imaginary cup. As much as possible you will want a fairly straight line from your elbow to your partners elbow through your joined hands."

"You will notice that we are closer on the leaders right and followers left side than we are on the leaders left and the follower's right. Our bodies are in this little v shape." I lead Amanda to rotate with me again. "So now, when we are doing this with a partner we aren't going to triple step to the side and then rock straight back away from our partners, we are going to kind of hook our feet behind ourselves." I lead her to do just that.

"So, right here, for right now, on the dance floor, hooking is totally legal." Laughter again, yay!

I hear a woman's voice from the crowd say, "No need for hooking at this convention, look at all these volunteers!" Everyone laughs, including me

"Ok, now everyone take a partner, and spread out in a circle with both partners facing in towards me." I release Amanda and gently push her back toward Mark.

Before she leaves Amanda kisses me on the cheek and says quietly, "Mark usually treats me like a Princess, but sometimes like this weekend I get to act like a slut. Hopefully I'll see you later!"

It takes several minutes to get everyone partnered up and in position before we can continue. "Ok, so leader's right hand on the follower's shoulder blade, follower's left hand falls wherever is natural, leader's left hand and follower's right hand low and relaxed. Now let's pulse up and down and start moving together; tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. That is good, let's do that a couple more times. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step."

"Ok, that worked pretty well. Now we have to move to the hardest part of the class. I want all the leaders to stay where they are and for all the followers to rotate around the circle one partner that away." I spin counter-clockwise and point in the direction I want everyone to move.

"If you don't want to trade partners, that is fine. Please make sure that you let the followers who are trading partners know to skip over you."

"Please introduce yourselves to these new people and take closed dance hold. It's called closed because you are close enough to one another to put your hands on one another's backs or shoulders. OK, everyone pulse up and down to get started. Ready, ready, ready here we go, tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step."

"That looked good, everyone trade partners again and introduce yourselves. Ready, ready, ready here we go, tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step."

"Ok, what we have done so far has been in closed position. We are now going to try open position, and open position with two hand hold." I offer my hand to another volunteer, a pretty twenty something with auburn hair, and large hoop earrings. Of course I recognize her right away from the videos. The fact that she is wearing a red top over her large breasts and a flowing black skirt, both with silver accents, just confirms who she is. Her name tag reads "Danielle", even though she has done a good job of branding herself with her pseudonym.

We start in closed position, and the thing about partner dancing like swing dancing is that you can feel what the follower is wearing. I whisper, "Only the top and skirt? You don't even have the coat as a third item this time!"

Danielle laughs with me, "Sure, but I'm not trying to prove anything this time. Anyway our writer has already written me naked in front of way more people."

"That was just a retelling of your original story, though, the extra was just some flashing."

"To you it's only been one story, but I'm several years older than that story. I've already lived through the other adventures our writer has planned." Danielle laughs, "It's been a wild ride."

I then go back to what I am supposed to be doing and demonstrate both open position and open position with two hand hold with Danielle. "For these positions we are going to go back to doing the rock step directly back. You have to start close enough together that when you rock apart your arms can absorb the distance. Followers, you kind of know this is coming since you usually rock back, but later you have to be ready to come forward once we know how to do more stuff."

"Leaders, you are going to nudge your followers back with the outside of your fingers. Followers, when you rock back you are going to connect with the inside of your fingers into the inside of the leaders fingers. Have you ever seen train cars couple together? It's kind of like that."

"Let's practice a couple of times, and then trade partners. Ready, ready, ready here we go, tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step."

I quietly ask, "Danielle, can I keep you for a moment? I want you to help with the next part, too."

"Sure, our writer keeps wanting me to help with the next part." She grins.

"Now that we have done these positions separately we need to be able to move from one position to another, hopefully without losing connection. Let us demonstrate what we will do. We will start in closed position, and then move into open position, one basic in open and then come back to closed position. Is that clear for everyone? Now, what the leader needs to do to get this to work is to do a normal basic first, and then on the start of the second basic you will take really small Tri-ple steps, staying almost in place. At the same time you will lead the follower away from you, and take your hand off their shoulder. Followers will take slightly larger steps away from the leader because of the pressure to move. Eventually the followers will need to turn to face the leaders, and you will know to do that because the follower's right hand is connected to the leader's left hand. The second triple step will be mostly in place, and you will adjust your position to face toward your partner. Let's have everyone try that together, ok?"

"Thanks Danielle!" I gently direct her back toward her friends and she waves as she goes.

"Ready, ready, ready here we go, tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Lead-her away, triple step, rock step. Good, good. Ok, reset to closed and let's do that again."

Once everyone has reset, "Ready, ready, ready here we go, tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Lead-her away, triple step, rock step. Great, let's trade partners and do that again."

As I am looking for another volunteer a thin young woman steps out of the crowd grinning at me, she looks like she knows me, but I can't place her at all, and the name tag "Ann" doesn't really help. It is also a little distracting that she moves exactly the way I want her to, at exactly the right moment. Now it's my turn to ask, "Do I know you?"

"I'm like Danielle, I started elsewhere and ported in."

"Oh, right! Neither one of them described you well enough that I can recognize you!"

"Yeah, writer has that weakness, but he gets better by the time I am this age."

"Hey, wasn't I in BryanRichardson's version of your story?"

"Well, there was a Bryan in that story, but he is an alt of you so there is no reason that you would know what he knows. He took good care of me in our other stories."

"What other stories?"

"The ones that are still in writer's head. Like Danielle, I've already lived them by the time I get to this convention."

"This fourth wall stuff is confusing."

"Not if we are written to understand it."

A few minutes later, "OK, we can move from closed to open, now let's practice the second half, moving from open to closed. This will be different for both leaders and followers. Leaders, you are going to communicate that you want your partner to come forward on the rock step by not extending your left hand like you have been doing, and effectively pulling your hand toward your rocking foot. Then on the step you will bring your right foot back next to your left foot, and that is also new to you." It is really helpful that Ann knows exactly what I am doing as I am doing it, the demonstration goes very smoothly.

"At the same time followers, you will feel the leader's left hand leading you forward so instead of doing the rock step back with your right foot like every other time you will actually be stepping forward on that right foot, and then forward on your left foot. As I'm talking to the leaders I will probably still say rock step, but you will be doing a step step forward. Then on the first tri-ple step you will turn to your right because your hands are connected, and on the second tri-ple step the partners will come back to closed position." I send Ann back to the circle of dancers, the new leaders will appreciate that she knows what she is doing.

"Let's practice the things we know how to do. Ann and I will demonstrate first and then talk you through it all. We will start in closed position and do a basic step. Then we will transition from closed to open and do a basic in open. Then we will transition from open to closed and start over."

"All together now, please. Ready, ready, ready here we go, tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Lead-her away, triple step, rock step. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step come forward. Tri-ple step, tri-ple step, rock step. Ok! That mostly worked. One more time and we will trade partners again."

It works even better the second time, and with new partners even better.

"The last thing we are going to do is try this with music. Leaders, any time you are doing a basic step you can do as many as you want. Followers, you have to be ready to go whichever way the leaders suggest. Try not to anticipate what they are going to do. I'll count you in to the music."

The song plays for a couple of minutes and then I ask everyone to trade partners again. Everyone is laughing and smiling as they move together.

"We have run out of time for this lesson, so if you came with someone you are not presently dancing with and want to go back to them for the final dance, please do so. This was a lot of material for a first lesson, but it is only the very beginning of what you can do."

I turned to a woman that I had seen moving well during the lesson who didn't seem to mind showing occasional peeks of her under-boob, her name tag reads "Bella". She was wearing a teal crop top that didn't quite cover her entire breasts above a tiny little leather skirt. Her stomach was fit and tan. "May I borrow you for a moment?" I offered my hand and she stepped in close. I whispered, "If I lift your hand above your head to lead an underarm turn it will show your breasts. Is that ok?"

Bella smiles and nods her head and we start dancing. "First we can do a followers underarm pass." I lead her to open position, but as I start leading her forward to return to closed I lift her right hand above her head and lead her past me. Doing so raises the bottom of her crop top above her bare breasts, revealing that both nipples are pierced. The crowd murmurs in amusement. As she passes me i moive behind her and she has to turn to face me as I lower my hand and we are back in open position.

"Then we can do the same thing except ending in closed position." Her crop top is still caught on her nipple piercings so the gentle bounce in her breasts as we pulse up and down to the beat is visible to everyone. I lead the same set of steps, but as she is turning under her arm I put my right hand on her left shoulder blade and she rotates back into closed position. With her shirt resting completely on top of her breasts they are even more revealed than previously.

Continuing to pulse up and down through a basic step I turn gently to the left while saying, "The last thing we will demonstrate will be a tuck turn. If this doesn't go well it will be my fault because Bella has never done this before as far as I know. Ok, tri-ple step, tri-ple step, tuck out, bring-her-in, spin-her-round, rock step." It goes great, Bella looks me right in the eye with a grin as I bring-her-in, and as she quickly spins around her top stays above her breasts and her skirt flares up. I'm close enough that I can just barely see the globes of her ass, but everyone surrounding us can see much more, I'm sure.

"That was great Bella, good job." I smile and give her a hug before turning back to the surrounding crowd. "OK, is everybody ready? Remember leaders, do as many basics as you need before leading whatever else you want to do. Followers, be gentle, the leaders have a lot to do planning what they are going to do next. Let's dance."

As everyone danced I wandered around and watched, offering suggestions occasionally. Once the song ended I said, "Ok, that wraps up the lesson for tonight. The Gala starts at 7, so be sure to be back for that. I'll be here all night, so if you want to dance please just ask. Thank you all!"

As the crowd drifted away a couple came up to me, they were already dressed for the Gala. The woman, "Georgette", shook my hand. "That was great, but we want to dance more, what do you suggest?"

I turned and shook hands with the guy, he was tall and thin, and looked to be in his late twenties. His name tag read "Will".

"Yeah, dancing is great exercise, and it is great for building connections with people. Even most small towns have dance teachers, but best of all would be if there is a swing dance group where you live, or a ballroom dance group. If you live really rurally and those aren't options you can find videos online. Some of those are good, but they can't give feedback. You probably shouldn't try to learn by reading about dance."

Georgette looked at Will and smiled, "See, we will be able to do it."

I really feel like I should know them, but neither of them look familiar. "I'm sorry, but I feel like I should know you."

Georgette laughs and says, "Oh, you wouldn't recognize me, I was only mentioned in passing. But I'll give you a clue, Will married me because I'm a moaner, not a screamer."

I look back at Will and it clicks. I grin and shake his hand again, "Oh, you are that Will! It's a pleasure to meet you! Your reputation precedes you!"

Will laughs as he shakes my hand, "If I had a dollar for every time I heard that I would have a boatload of imaginary money!"

"You certainly would! Do you have a table yet? Would you like to join us? I think I'm sitting with some old friends."
