Travis is a nice guy despite his upbringing his mother abandoned him at birth his father was abusive his foster parents were even worse to him he has several scars all over his body from how badly they hurt him in fact he has several bones that never properly healed his joints ache every day and his body feels weird every time he tries to stretch also he walks like a hunch back because of this everyone makes fun of him not only because of that but because of his interest in computers video games the occult anime hentai and anything fantasy related the only time he feels normal is when he's working out or swimming or in the sauna in school.

His home state is Rhode Island he's always hated it no matter what he does he's remind of his crappy life he wants to get away luckily he makes A's and B's in school his GPA is an A- average not only that but his CAT was in the 70th% his results were that he could go into being a doctor engineer architect web designer programmer musician cook brewer artist his SAT results were 1370 he has been looking at colleges out of state even if he doesn't have the scores needed to get a full ride he will figure something out however one day during his lunch break he gets called down to the guidance office for a meeting this has happened a few times here recently colleges are impressed with his grades and scores until they see him in person then they move onto someone else.

so he makes it to the office he sees a guy a few years older than himself wearing black gold green and purple colors with a fleur di lys on his jacket as well as his hat he says hello my name is Max I'm here to offer you a scholarship to the University of your choice in New Orleans it's a full ride and If you can graduate now we can leave right now I looked at my guidance counselor he says it's a real deal Travis and you've already qualified to graduate your junior year except for a few classes that you needed to take but I suppose we could have had you do those in summer school I ask what do I do now I mean if your offer is real do I move out of state Max says yes everything is real and while you're in school we will send someone at a later date to talk to you about a job offer but for now we got to get you to a hospital.

I look at him strangely as does my guidance counselor Max says I've heard about your condition from my employer but I didn't know that it was this bad we got to get you fixed up before this is permanent I nod he says don't move anymore just sit down here give me your address and your locker information I nod then say my locker's are 210 and 379 combo's are 12-39-56 40-21-67 my address is 67 weather street he nods then goes and gets my stuff he asks while you're here at your school is there anything that you want that you couldn't afford to get before I say yeah a class ring and all of the year books from all 4 years of high school Max nods then just orders the ultimate senior package that comes with sweat pants hoodie t-shirt mug key chain cap and gown and the class ring and year books the ring has his birthstone which is different than what he chose which is amethyst he was born in October but he's always loved the look of amethyst.

After that he gets taken to the best Hospital in New York they scan him from top to bottom they see that in another few years he would have really become a hunchback and his spine would have permanently been this way as well as his skeletal structure so they fixed him and put him back to what he's supposed to be it wasn't easy but they did it and without putting a metal bar in his back but he has to wear a brace on his body for a couple of years so his body can get used to being in it's new position or it will revert back to what it was before and he could wind up paralyzed or worse so they take it slow and he spends the whole time in the hospital under 24 hour supervision not that he minds as he has no idea what to do during this time he's studying from the confines of his hospital bed.

The university agreed to let him telecommute from his hospital bed until he could get the doctor's okay that he could attend full time when they first took his clothes off the nurses cringed at seeing his scars as did the surgeons they could tell right away that he wasn't reckless like some of the ambulance staff claimed he was saying that he got hunched over like that either from watching porn too much or from sex gone wrong but from the scans they could tell right away that it's from abuse and not the sexual kind especially after seeing him without his shirt for the first time as 70% of his body is covered in scar tissue from knife wounds bullet wounds burns old welts that never properly healed bruises that are still healing internal bleeding bruised organs and the icing on the cake mental trauma.

After Travis is properly healed and out of physical therapy he gets taken to New Orleans to finish up his last two years of schooling max makes sure that every doctor's note and paperwork is accounted for so that they don't make a trip all the way there for nothing they reach Louisiana State University he stays in college for 7 years he left high school at age 16 he spent 2 years in the hospital and his first 2 years was just relearning what he was supposed to have learned in his junior and senior years just 1 level harder now that he's 24 and graduated he has a few degrees one in business it has economics marketing export/import accounting and finance next he got a degree in computers it covers web design game design coding communication network management and tech support his third degree and final is in the food and beverage industry it covers cooking baking brewery distilling mixology and hospitality management.

He got a Bachelor's degree in everything he went to school for hoping that would open doors for him after he graduated Max was back to pick him up after seeing everything Travis went to school for he chuckles then asks did you save any degrees for the rest of Louisiana Travis chuckles then says maybe if they are lucky so what brings you here he says I'm here firstly because I thought that you might want to get some lunch Travis nods as he gets into Max's red and white 1972 Chevy 2 Nova the car is red with white racing stripes inside the interior is white with red stripes it's a manual it's the SS model it has an L48 350 cubic inch V8 4 speed manual with dual exhaust it has a hardtop roof white wall tires red rims his is a 4 door.

While they are riding in the car Max's face gets serious he says Travis my boss wants to meet you after we have lunch Travis asks why I mean I've done a few side gigs over the years to help pay for college but I never agreed to work for your company I said that I would think about it Max says I know but I don't have a choice also neither do you as he kind of paid for everything up to this point as those side gigs barely made a dent in the debt that you owe Travis says fine so how much do I owe your guy's company anyway Max says $7,000,000 and some change Travis almost chokes on his spit he says that will take forever to pay back Max says actually my debt was even higher than yours and I paid it back in 5 years Travis asks how much did you owe and how did you accumulate such a high debt?

Max says I use to owe $100,000,000 Travis is shocked Max says I did it to my self it was gambling debts my boss bailed me out and saved my life I was fixing to go down hard he put me through school like he did you helped me turn my life around Travis says big difference between us I was under the impression that I had a scholarship not that I would owe every ounce of it once I graduated Max sighs then says yeah he did you wrong I mean you've never done anything wrong in your life and he pulls this on you Travis says the hospital bills I can understand but my college ones I don't get that Max says neither do i but we'll get some grub and figure it out he takes him to New Orleans he takes him to the best Jambalaya and Gumbo shop in the state and town they get one of each then order red beans and rice as it's something Travis has always wanted to try.

Travis saves the Jambalaya and Gumbo for another day he doesn't even touch them they go to a huge building that's 100 stories tall it has the fleur di lys on the outside as well on the inside the colors are standard New Orleans colors every 10 stories is color coated it also signals your position in the company it also tells everyone else how high up you are and how much you get paid Max for example is only on the second level the levels go as follows:

Gold

However only the last 60 stories are the business that Max Works for the rest are several other businesses that rent the rest of the space some of the space is apartments that only very rich people could afford as the rent is $2000 a month for rent and utilities every else is a separate expense now Max takes Travis to the top floor of the building to a conference room he sits him down then leaves the room 30 minutes later an elder looking man who looks to be in his mid- 50's to early 60's walks in the room he's wearing a nice but expensive looking suit grey with black stripes white undershirt burgundy tie dark brown wingtip shoes Rolex brown briefcase grayish black hair wrinkled face slumped posture stocky frame about 5'6" brown eyes with blue flecks in one eye and green flecks in the other.

He sits down then says hello my name is William but everyone just calls me bill or billy if they want to be cute in a gruff rough sounding voice although it sounds like he's trying to be kind Travis can tell that he's annoyed at something he says you can just call me Bill your name is Travis he opens his brief case pulls out his glasses begins reading what Travis assumes to be his file he remains quiet then once Bill is done he says Max told me about your irritation in you owing $7,000,000 Travis says no offense to Max as I consider him a friend but I didn't do drugs I didn't drink very much I tried pot a few times I enjoyed it but I didn't let it rule my life and just because I had abusive parents and foster parents which I can understand paying back my hospital bill but I didn't rack up an astronomical gambling debt or become a criminal I almost became a cripple.

I was led to believe that I was under a scholarship Bill says you were but the person in charge pf it was fired for embezzling from the company before bill can go any further Travis says I miss the part where this is my problem Bill is taken aback as he didn't not only not expect such a response but to get a movie reference on top of it his impression on this kid is getting better and better by the minute bill chuckles then gives him a pointed look he asks did you seriously just quote Spider-man as a test to me or as something you've wanted to do for awhile Travis says both.

bill says nice now unfortunately you have to work off your debt just like Max is doing good news is that his company debt is paid off bad news is that he put himself in more debt by buying a house a new car maxed out his credit cards and has a very expensive girlfriend Travis chuckles then says sounds like him so what job will I be doing Bill says you will be put into the beverage part of our company we are making soda beer wine energy drinks wine coolers juice sparkling water and spirits you will be in charge of marketing branding import export and flavor profile Travis nods Bill hands him his stuff then sends him down to the training center next door where he goes through orientation learns the rules of the company several of them are just standard work place do's and don'ts while also when it comes to dating company employees it's not against the rules but frowned upon.

After that they get put through basic self defense classes they cover the basics on various fighting styles but don't really do anything with them they just teach each person enough to stop someone from robbing their place of business and to stop themselves from being mugged other than that they don't bother to teach anything worthwhile but Travis actually charges more to his debt and gets all the way up to a purple belt in 6 styles that he combined into one the styles he chose are boxing taekwondo judo tai chi karate and wing chun once he completed his training he moved onto the rest of his training which was learning how to do his job.

He learned how to do it quite easily except for the flavor profile part that was hard to learn but everything else was just like riding a bike as he already learned to do it in college now before he could actually do his job his final bit of training was the history of the company turns out that every company grew tired of the constant wiping out of the various brands smaller companies so they banded together to form one ultimate company they even brought back every discontinued snack beverage cereal game system and every game that failed but redid them so that they would succeed the only competition that they have is with the car makers the film industry the music industry as they partnered with the film industry and every construction trade that used to be separate is now under one huge corporation.

Once Travis learned of this he was shocked at how much everything changed since he was growing up once he takes a small 10 question quiz to see if he was paying attention he now gets on the job training from someone who's one level above him he takes Travis through his duties and doesn't seem to care if Travis screws up or even if he misses any instructions once it was done Travis gets escorted to a cubicle he puts in his name email password ID then once everything is verified he sees that he can either go straight into his job or do CBT (computer based training) he decides to do the CBT first as there are only 10 of them the first one covers what his on the job instructor should have covered the rest seem to actually help him improve upon the knowledge he already has and it teaches him about flavor profiling in the later ones once he completes them 10 more pop up he sees that for him to complete all of them he needs to complete 100.

So he decides to do them all however each set of ten covers every degree he ever got but also includes knowledge of various jobs and duties that he will possibly be able to do should he have his pick of jobs he completes all of them takes a 7 hour quiz aces it then sees that his first day on the job is over so he heads home the next day he does his job it gives him directions kinda like a tutorial in a video game his first product is Nos energy drink the can itself is being designed after the Nos tank the energy drink's flavor used to have a huge overwhelming caffeine taste or a huge sugar taste but with some studying some tweaking and having both men and women taste it as well as ask what kind of beverage that they want the new and improved flavor of Nos will have a tropical citrus taste with notes of mango and passion fruit so far there's only the can but some of the gamer on our staff have suggested that we should create a bottle that resembles the actual tank and that's what we do.

after the success of Nos the incredible sales of Pepsi twist Coke with lime Gatorade Ice and Frutopia Travis moves on from white to green he also gets a choice he decides to move to snacks the first thing he decides to do is Trix yogurt the next thing he does is Altoids Sours next he does is Choc Taco's next he does is peanut butter and jelly graham crackers and lastly Starburst hard candy after that he moves up to orange then gets to choose one last job before he's stuck at it for the rest of his career so he chooses game design brand design web design coding game testing game making and software designer as well as tech support Bill sighs then lets him go into that sector even though there's nothing wrong with that section of the company except for the fact that he will be the only employee working there as everyone else wants to work in everything else.

Before he made this decision many people were interested to see what kind of career he would have even some women were interested in him but after he went to the place in their minds where careers go to die as so far nobody has managed to get the 'nerdy' side of the company up and running as every time they would try it would fail and take down the rest of the entire company's power as well as put those who tried to get it started into the hospital as they lost their minds trying to save it Travis on the other hand isn't stupid he's already heard all of the gossip not only that but he also got a hold of thanks to Max very attempt that has ever been tried before he even got the schematics for every machine panel box power grid and main power sources for this section of the building.

Travis made sure to study everything thoroughly before even thinking of trying to turn anything on also he had several electric companies check it out and give their assessments to Bill just in case the best one was Duke energy before having them give an estimate and looking everything over Travis consulted 6 other companies not just for the charge but to see how much they really knew about their job the estimate is free so it doesn't cost the company or Travis anything the previous people who tried to do this section of the company tried to do it all on their own which is why they failed Bill looks over each detailed estimate sighs then goes with Duke energy instead of their in house guys as clearly something isn't working they can rewire it and have it up and running in 3 months for $1658 tax included all of the others are charging double triple or quadruple the price for less quality of work.

6 months Later

Travis got it up and running again he even fixed all of the machines there with help from the manuals and repair guides he also made sure to do a setup so that they wouldn't over heat and that if he should hire employees they would have space to work on projects he put in enough space to hire 1,000 employees he begins scouring the company for employees at dead end jobs that aren't going anywhere but he will only hire green orange and purple employees the rest he doesn't even bother looking at what else he's looking for is employees who have certain computer habits that have gotten them in trouble with their bosses since they've been working there he's not looking for porn addicts as there's too many of those no what he's looking for is hackers online gamer gamblers shoppers and those addicted to movies and music he will hire anyone but those with a history of violence.

So he goes to the food section he begins walking the cubicles he sees someone playing Roller coaster Tycoon he keeps walking then sees about 9 other people not doing their jobs and fooling around on the computer but everyone else is doing their jobs he sees a floor boss walk by each of these guys and not say anything to them but Travis can clearly see annoyed expression on his face so he taps him on the shoulder takes him into the conference room they sit down he asks is that normal for those 10 employees to mess around on the computer the floor boss says yes it is they're nobody special i'm just tired of saying anything fining them them or sending them home without pay I don't know what else to do Travis asks what would you say if I could take them from you and have them work somewhere else so that you can hire people who will actually do the job?

He cries falls on his knees then says thank you we have been begging for that section of the company to be completed for years now Travis asks does that mean that you are friends with the other floor managers and that I won't have to travel to their floors he says yes to both questions in fact there's a total of 5,000 employees that we are ready to dump on you Travis says good but I have one stipulation they must be green orange and purple workers he deflates then says oh then we only have around 500 workers for you Travis says send the rest to me as I still have jobs for them he quirks an eyebrow but doesn't say anything.

The next day 5,000 employees from white - purple are standing outside his section he lets everyone inside then puts the green workers in web design the orange workers in coding the purple workers in the game sector he puts the white workers in tech support equipment maintenance and begins teaching them how to do every job in the section as they are clueless once they have earned it he will put them into one of the other colors 7 years have passed since he took over the section business is booming but other than those he works with nobody has seen Travis in years not even the owner other than that his paperwork is on time and filled out flawlessly he wouldn't know that Travis still exists whenever there's an issue Travis solves faster than his employees does Bill is getting worried Travis just turned 35 and isn't married yet plus nobody sees him anymore it's why when he got called from his overseas competitors and heard about their proposal he accepted without hesitation.
