My island in the sun Ch 06

A man finds his Greek roots and his dream island

This is part of a series. If you haven't already done so, I would suggest reading the previous chapters, so this one will make sense. Take it as read that Greek is being spoken throughout this chapter. Any characters engaged in sexual acts of any description are at least 18 years of age or older.

I have written in English, mainly due to the fact that I am not fluent in Greek, and I want to reach out to the most readers with my story.

This is self edited, so any mistakes are exactly where I want them to be!

AJ decided to take a stroll along the port, to see if he could locate the "Chesma" before Victor returned to the port. And explained his decision to them all.

"Please stay here Aella, while I go and take a look, I won't be too long."

"If you think that's best, of course I'll stay here!"

"Titan, guard Aella until I get back."

Titan immediately went and sat at Aellas' side, taking his duty seriously.

Lykos said he would go with AJ, Just in case there were any problems!

As the two of them left "Aellas Choice" AJ asked Lykos which direction he thought they should search first.

"With what you know about him I would expect them not to be so close to the main area of the port, so why don't we walk down out of the busy area and see what we find?" suggested Lykos.

With that they strolled along the port as if they were just enjoying the evening, but AJ and Lykos were alert, and keenly observing the watercraft as they walked along.

Again AJ was surprised how many yachts there were for the time of year.

Lykos explained that many people lived on their boats and travelled all over the Mediterranean all year round, so it was actually quite normal for it to be this busy.

"Lykos," I know you said you were in the navy before you joined the crew, but do you have any combat experience?" enquired AJ.

"I was actually in the underwater demolition team, or as it's more commonly known, OYK. The training is quite rigorous and gruelling, only 15% of candidates pass the course, which isn't surprising. You have Hell Week, which is five days without sleep, with relentless exercises, diving and hand to hand combat."

"If you pass that, there are more challenges such as a 100 nautical mile swim, marathon running and tactical diving with your hands and feet bound!"

"With the constant tension and threat from Turkish forces, I spent most of my career carrying out covert surveillance. Now you have joined us in Greece, I am glad to be in a position to offer you my assistance."

"I am proud to say I earned the Golden Diver badge, which embodies the Greek warrior spirit, with its dedication to victory at all costs."

"I am glad you joined us then Lykos, I have the feeling you will soon be putting all that experience into use!" enthused AJ.

"If needed, I have a selection of knives and other hand to hand fighting implements you may be interested in looking over AJ."

"I'm most definitely interested in looking over your kit," AJ added with enthusiasm, He felt he had found a kindred spirit in Lykos.

"Aha, see there that Lazzara 68 that's the one were looking for," said AJ.

"Indeed it is," confirmed Lykos seeing the broad lettering spelling out "Chesma" on its side.

"We're lucky I can follow him by his black thread Lykos, the "Chesma" has a higher cruising speed than "Aellas Choice" I'm quite sure of that." stated AJ plainly.

"I have some listening devices I can attach below the water line, I could swim over in the dark, early hours of the morning, while no-one is around!" suggested Lykos.

"That's a brilliant idea, agreed AJ "if we know his intentions we may well be able to pre-empt a situation and be more prepared."

"We might as well return to "Aellas Choice" now, AJ continued."I don't think we'll achieve anything more by hanging around here!

Lykos agreed, and they walked back to rejoin the others back onboard.

Lykos and AJ told the others that they had the location of the "Chesma", Victors' boat, and also that the plan for Lykos to attach a couple of listening devices so they might learn something of their plans.

"I wasn't aware that you had anything like that," Kostas remarked.

"I lost various pieces of Kit before I left my military service," Lykos stated plainly. "I've never needed it until now. I have other things that may be useful, depending on how things go!"

AJ looked into his mind and found the thread that led him to Victor, he could see that he was back at the port and getting to his motor yacht. So he told everyone else. Now it was just waiting for the time that Lykos would place the devices and see what happens next.

"I have to test the devices, but then I plan on getting some sleep," announce Lykos.

"What time are you planning on setting out? questioned AJ, "I'll set out along the port and keep watch from 300 metres or so, just in case of any developments, and be in place for back up should it be needed!"

"I will be setting off about 3am, if that suits you Oh, I have some infra-red binoculars if you're interested," added Lykos.

"That'll definitely help, I think we'll have to have a sit down and run inventory on what you have and see what we can add to our kit, we will need to be prepared for whatever can happen!"

"Right then, I'm going to catch some sleep, I don't know what the rest of you want to do?" AJ said simply.

Everyone else decided to retire at that point too!

Once Aella and AJ got to the master cabin, AJ closed the door, turned to Aella and said "I have waited all evening to see what your dress looks like...... on the floor!"

"I like they way you think baby!" answered Aella slinking towards him.

Aella eased the straps off her shoulders, catching the bodice of her dress in a teasing motion, before it could slide all the way down her spectacular body.

"What would you like me to do baby?" teased Aella, standing right in front of AJ.

Leaning forward, "it's what I want to do to you that matters" AJ whispered in her ear. As he eased her hands away, allowing the dress to pool around her feet.

He bent down swiftly and carried her over to the bed, laying her gently down in the middle. He then stood at the end of the bed, taking in the sight of the ravishing beauty that lay before him. He had killed for her, and if necessary, he would kill a thousand more, just to keep her safe and in his arms for evermore.

With his eyes upon her, Aella automatically spread her legs, displaying her charms for his viewing pleasure. As his eyes met hers, they both saw the flaming desire reflected in the others' eyes.

Aella moved her right hand down and stroked a nipple gently, tantalising him with her actions, mere moments later she lowered her left hand to her exposed womanhood and circled a finger slowly around the hood of her little pink pearl, eliciting a moan form her lips as she did so.

AJ stood transfixed at the display before him, as Aella performed with her body like it was a fine instrument, he could only look on with such wonder astonished at how lucky he was that she chose him.

AJ moved forward as if in a trance, drawn towards her radiance, he knelt slowly on the bed and moved upwards where he positioned himself between her thighs, the evidence of her arousal was dripping from her engorged lips and AJ leant forward and drew his tongue through her magnificent furrows.

Soft moans escaped Aellas lips as he continued to tantalise her, with soft flickering movements up the length of her erotic entrance. As he moved up and centred his ministrations on her love button, Aella felt her arousal building.

He eased his finger inside and instinctively curled it upwards where he encountered a little rough patch of skin.

AJ was euphoric that he could elicit such a response from his lover and continued flicking her pink pearl with his tongue and moving his finger around inside his lover. How tight she felt. He was worried that he would hurt her when the time came that they would make love.

Soon Aella was reaching her zenith, "Don't stop AJ, I'm nearly there!" she panted out. This spurred AJ into a frenzy of motion and he then alternated flicking her clitoris and drawing small rings around it. At that moment Aella grabbed the pillow and held it over her face, as her whole body shook in climactic joy.

Once she came back tom her senses she exclaimed, "AJ, my baby you just get better and better every time you touch and caress me. You make my body sing with joy, you are something else lover!"

AJ went and got a warm washcloth from the bathroom and cleaned Aella so she could sleep comfortably. He put the cloth on the nightstand and set his alarm for 0200 hrs.

He wrapped Aella tightly in his arms, kissing her gently as they both drifted off in to a peaceful sleep.

What felt like mere moments later, his alarm woke him from a wonderful dream, he had been playing on a beach with Aella and a little boy and two girls, splashing their feet through the clear azure water, and then standing while the tiny fish tickled their toes, as they nibbled away.

AQJ quickly turned it off to avoid waking Aella, she murmured, but he settled her back down, telling her he wouldn't be gone too long. He went into the bathroom where he dressed in tight black running bottoms and a black, long sleeve running top. Carrying a pair of black running trainers he swiftly exited the cabin to make his way up on deck.

As he ascended the stairs, he saw that Lykos was already up there. Titan was lying down at the beach club area, across the top of the gangplank.

"Titan, I need you to not let anyone apart from Lykos aboard while I am gone, understand?"

Titan quietly huffed in answer, knowing he mustn't wake anyone by barking too loudly.

"You're such a good boy," he sent telepathically again. Titan looked proud as punch, with AJ acknowledging that he took his responsibilities seriously. No-one would harm his master or mistress while he was around!

He could see Lykos had a black wetsuit on with a matching black diving hood. He also had black diving fins and diving gloves with grip palms.

Even Lykos' snorkel gear was black. This was some serious kit. AJ was impressed at the high calibre of this stuff!

"I can't afford to risk any refection of my kit while I do this tonight. This kit is tried and tested, so I know I won't be compromised.

Just then Giorgos came up from below. "I thought it would be a good idea for someone to be up on deck while you two are gone."

"A very good idea, both AJ and Lykos said at the same time. "Nothing should happen, but a lookout is never a bad idea!" finished Lykos.

Looking back at AJ, Lykos stated simply, "As the "Chesma" is docked at the jetty around by Petrino snack bar, I was thinking that the shelter on the corner by the childrens' playground should give you a clear view across the water, what do you think AJ?"

"Good call, far enough away but close enough if needed! was AJs' simple answer. I'll take a Vlad crossbow with me in my backpack along with a small knife I spied amongst the collection a couple of days ago. I shouldn't need them, but it's always better than to go without something you later wished you had!

AJ set his mind to the task ahead, while Lykos sat on one of the small benches at the back of the beach club area and pulled on his Diving hood, fins and his mask and snorkel. He then slipped a large waterproof dive bag onto his back. Lastly he pulled on his diving gloves.

AJ, I will let you know when I have set the listening devices and am returning to "Aellas Choice" with one short flash from a pin light from waterline at the stern of the Yacht. That way it won't be visible to anyone aboard even if they are still about at this time of night.

"SOP then, chuckled AJ, "So many crossovers between the different countries forces eh!"

"I don't think we'll have any problems operating together, things are already falling into place he continued, and this is a nice little warm up exercise really."

Lykos pulled his Mask down over his face, moved to the back of the beach club, gave AJ thumbs up and jumped into the water.

AJ turned to Giorgos saying, "I'll go and take up my observation position, I'll see you back here soon. Hopefully things will go as planned and everything will stay quiet."

"I'll go up on the Flying Bridge where I will get a better view along the port!" Giorgos answered simply.

"Titan Guard the yacht while I'm gone remember?" AJ sent to the massive dog. Titan huffed back at AJ, as if offended that AJ felt he had to remind him of his duties! "I'm sorry boy, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings"

Titan brushed against AJ in a signal that he accepted his apology. At least that's what AJ thought!

With that AJ went down the gangplank and started a slow walk along the port, Titan sat unmoving at the top watching AJ as he walked off, then began his vigil, taking his task seriously, continually looking both ways long along the port.

Within a couple of minutes, AJ reached his observation point by the shelter, tucking himself into the corner. Removing his backpack, he quickly drew out the night vision binoculars and located the "Chesma" all appeared to be quiet on board. At least up on the deck areas as far as he could see!

AJ looked at the water around the Motor Yacht for any surface disturbance and could see nothing whatsoever, Lykos probably hadn't arrived there yet.

He scanned the area back towards "Aellas Choice" nothing, no signs whatsoever. Lykos was without doubt, a master of his craft.

He quickly returned to looking at the "Chesma" he didn't want to miss anything that could compromise Lykos in his endeavour.

At that moment AJ saw a head come up to the surface. With surprise, he realised that it was a dolphin. He certainly didn't expect that, even they we quite common in the Aegean, they rarely came this close to shore.

AJ went back to closely watching the boat. There was still no movement on deck. It was obvious to him that whatever Victor was up to with his cronies, they didn't feel the need to keep watch out for anything. That was very good thing for Lykos, AJ thought!

At that instant AJ saw a small pin prick of light from the stern of the boat, and although he looked for a sign of Lykos, he could still not see anything whatsoever. The man was ghostlike. He admired his professionalism!

AJ quietly placed the binoculars back in the backpack and sauntered back along the port, nonchalantly, not wanting to arouse any suspicion, although there was no-one else around at this time of the morning.

As he arrived back at "Aellas Choice" AJ was not at all surprised to see Titan sitting alert and diligent at the top of the gangplank. He huffed a welcome to AJ, happy to for the return of his master.

As he walked to the top of the gangplank Titan promptly rolled on to his back offering his belly to AJ for his requisite tummy rubs as payment for a job well done!

As he was rubbing Titans belly, Lykos silently surfaced next to the swim platform and climbed the ladder on to the beach club area. He had already removed his fins, and then proceeded to slip his face mask and snorkel off.

"Lykos, I'm glad you are back, did everything go as you planned?"

"All apart from my escort was Lykos' jovial retort. "I had a dolphin join me as I was halfway along my arc out of the port that kept me at a distance from other vessels."

"I saw his head pop up just before you signalled to me. I hope he didn't cause you any problems?"

"No, I just think he was being inquisitive and wanted to see what I was up to. Everything went just as I planned. I couldn't detect any movement when I felt the hull of the vessel, so I think we can presume that they are all asleep."

"I would suggest we catch a couple of hours sleep, and we take turns in listening out for anything that may prove useful around 0800 hours."

Giorgos came down from the Flying Bridge to join them. "Everything went smoothly I take it?"

"All A OK, Lykos told him! "We were just discussing shifts to monitor their conversations. I'll set up the receiver equipment before I turn in, and then were all set to go."

"I would suggest we set it up on the Flying Bridge, which should get us the best reception, we have at least a one kilometre wide reception area, so we are well covered. We won't need to get in too close if we need to follow them!"

"I forgot to mention it, but we can record as well, which may be useful if we need to collect evidence for any reason."

AJ loved it when everything went to plan, but it always left him with an uneasy feeling which, more often than not was proved unfounded.

The three of them returned to their cabins to catch a few hours of sleep before they would start the listening duties for the time being, until they found out enough to allow them to formulate a plan.

As AJ slid back under the sheets, without waking, Aella automatically wrapped her body around his. Cocooned in her love, AJ was fast asleep mere seconds later.

AJ was having a most wonderfully erotic dream. He opened his eyes to see Aella kneeling over him, with her luscious lips locked around his throbbing shaft. "I love pleasing you baby, it makes me feel so alive, just knowing how much I can do to make you feel like that. I feel we have a lot to explore together and we are just beginning our journey together."

"I hate to say this, but I must really get ready for the day ahead, I have a foreboding feeling of what may lie ahead with our new friend Victor!"

"If the feeling I got from him when he touched me last night is any indication. I feel you are absolutely right in your judgement. I don't ever want to be anywhere near him ever again. He was a despicable, roach of a man."

"Whatever plan I make will start with ensuring your protection comes before everything. You are my ultimate reason for all that I do going forward!"

"Shower time then, I'll see you up on the Fly Bridge when you're ready my little flower."

"I'll see you up there in a while then baby."

Having finished his shower, AJ pulled on some shorts and a T-shirt, AJ stopped to pick up his backpack as he wanted to keep it close at all times!

As he reached the saloon he looked down and saw Titan at his post on the stern of the yacht. AJ quickly went to the fridge in the kitchen and got a couple of pork steaks for his breakfast and a bottle of water to fill his bowl.

He wouldn't bother cutting the steaks this time, after seeing him demolish the massive steaks Titan demolished at the taverna last night.

Nikos joined AJ when he reached the Beach Club and asked him if he needed anything done this morning.

"Could you make a trip up to a supermarket and grab a few sacks of dry dog food. I think we should also find a butchers and get a lot of meat that we can keep in the freezer. I'm just going to give him a quick walk along the port, I won't be long."

"Stay tight to me," he sent to Titan, who responded by leaning against AJs' leg. "Not that tight!" AJ laughed. Titan immediately eased off a little bit. He only went 50 yards or so when Nikos caught up with him.

"Here he said you might need these! and he handed AJ a roll of poo bags. "You don't want to annoy our boating fraternity on our first morning here," laughed Nikos.

"Thanks Nikos, I missed that one, it wouldn't look good to get caught out with a simple thing like that."

He reached out with his mind and detected through the thread connection to Victor, which indicated he was still on the "Chesma". AJ wondered how conceited is a person that names an eighty foot motor yacht after a warship. It was almost laughable.

AJ had come up against many similar people in his time, and had killed many of them. He had thought he had left that life behind him. But it appeared the gods had other plans for him.

They do say that man plans, and the gods laugh. Well, he had always walked the path of the protector, of what is just and right. If that was what the gods had planned for him, he was right there with them, they would not get any push back from him!

AJ walked up and down the port, but remained within a couple of hundred metres of "Aellas choice", once Titan did what dogs do AJ cleaned up after him and disposed of the bags in the designated bin.

"Let's go and see about breakfast, eh boy!" Titan huffed his response and immediately started to head back to the yacht.

As AJ approached he could see Aella on the stern of the boat watching for his return. She looked spectacular as the early morning sun bathed her in ethereal light. The yellow sundress she wore fitted her lithe form with such a tantalising effect. It came down to just above her knees, drawing his eyes to her toned calves.

AJ was smitten with the sight before him, and was already having wicked thoughts of spending some private time with her later.

Titan ran up the gangway to greet his mistress, settling himself at her feet, where Aella stroked behind his ears, telling him that he was such a good boy as she did so.

AJ walked up and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling Aella to him, their lips joining in an animalistic frenzy. They could not get enough of one another, his tongue parted her lips and they began a passionate duel, their hearts blazing with this sultry sparring, igniting their souls with a seductive invitation.

Aella felt a shiver run though her body, so intense were the feeling stirring deep inside her. Once more they had to call a halt to their frenzied interchange. Standing on the back of the yacht in full view of passersby wasn't the most perfect choice of rendezvous for this exchange.

They broke their embrace and AJ took Aellas hand in his, suggesting they went up and join the others in the sky lounge and have some breakfast. Titan followed dutifully behind them.

Mara had laid out a selection of breakfast items for everyone to enjoy, AJ having his customary fruit and yoghurt. While Aella chose some cheeses and cold meats, along with some local wholemeal seeded bread.

Lykos brought everyone up to date on how things had gone in the early hours placing the listening devices on "Chesma"!

"Giorgos is up on the Flybridge now with Georgos, continued Lykos, "I suggest we take shifts with two people listening, then when we have enough information we can formulate a plan, does that sound good to everyone?"

All agreed to Lykos' suggestion. And they carried on enjoying their meal.

AJ asked Nikos if he could go and fetch the dog supplies soon, in case they had to leave port at any time. He wanted to be prepared, so Kostas called his taxi friend, who told him he would be there shortly. Armed with plenty of Euros, Nikos went down to the Beach Club to wait for the taxi to arrive.

AJ sauntered up to the Fly Bridge with Aella, to see how things were going. Giorgos told him that those on board "Chesma" had not been awake long and so far it had just been mundane chatter, he had not heard anything of worth yet!

At that moment AJ heard Victors voice. Although he was Russian he spoke in heavily accented English. "I need to find out who that large party celebrating the engagement are. I want the girl, also I will make that young upstart pay for his disrespect. I want you both to go around the port today and see what you can find out. Keep your eyes open as well, they are here somewhere!"

"Aella, until we know more, I want you to stay out of sight, limit yourself to the saloon, here on the Fly Bridge with him or anywhere else that is more hidden, I won't take any chances with your safety. Can you also research to see if you can find out more about him?" stated AJ.

"We'll need to keep Titan hidden as well then, Victor and his cronies will recognise him in a heartbeat." Replied Aella.

"Titan, stay with Aella at all times!" commanded AJ, Titan gave a short, loud bark in understanding.

Turning to Georgos and Giorgos, AJ told them he would stay up here for a while listening. If they had other things they wanted to do. But Giorgos had nothing he needed to do.

Georgos followed that up saying, "I want to do a few checks and will call down and see Mara and make sure the engines are fully operational and ready to go at a moments notice," with that he got up to go down to the lower decks to find Mara.

"Could you ask Dimitri, Kostas and Lykos to come up here on your way to see Mara," asked AJ.

"No problem AJ."

Aella got her ever present laptop out and logged in to begin her searches, splitting to dual screen mode, so she could run two programs simultaneously. "If he has an online presence, I'll find him."

At that moment, the other three came up onto the Fly Bridge. "Gentlemen, started AJ, I have heard Victor state that, in his words he wants the girl, obviously meaning Aella, and also that he would make the young upstart pay for his disrespect, by which he obviously meant me.

"Whilst I myself am not at all bothered by this boorish fool, I will not allow any harm to come to Aella!"

"As I see it we have a couple of options on how we can proceed. We need to know what Victor is up to and end whatever evil empire he is running. I'm sure Aella will find some information and we can soon put a plan into place."

They heard Victor speak once more, "we need to be in Gioura in three days, and I want everything wrapped up here before then with no loose ends. Those two girls down in the cabin are worth close to a million Euros, and the buyers, they won't wait around if we're late and I won't miss out on that kind of money!"

"We'll get out there now and get on it boss," answered his cronies as if with a single voice.

"He's clearly small time," Dimitri said flatly. "The big players wouldn't blink at numbers like that, it's everything to him, but to them, that's pocket change."

"A delusional psychopath, that's just what we need, said Kostas, "I say we leave port as soon as possible and lay up a kilometre or so out from the island and wait for him to make his next move."

Lykos summed it up, "I think that's a wise move, they can't find us if we're not here, and they don't know we are on "Aellas Choice" at the moment, but if they find out Aellas name, it won't take long for them to put the two things together."

"Here we are, burst out Aella, "Victor Ivakin" he was a junior officer in the Russian Navy. But following a mysterious situation that resulted in the death of a young female KGB officer, he was given a dishonourable discharge. He then vanished from Russia."

"According to this information, he has spent the last fifteen years operating out of Albania as a yacht broker." I would suspect that is a smokescreen for his more nefarious business pursuits!"

"He mentioned Gioura, that's another island I presume, what do we need to know about it?" asked AJ.

"Gioura is about 16 miles from Alonissos, it's only human inhabitants are coastguards who are primarily there to protect the native Kri Kri goats. They are a wild brown goat with distinctive long horns and have a dark black line down the spine." Explained Dimitri.

"They nearly became extinct by the 1960s. However, there are several protected reserves dedicated to their survival. Gioura is ideal in its seclusion. As in other areas they have been inter bred with domesticated goats which undermines their unique adaption to their natural environment and dilutes their biodiversity."

"Only professional fishing boats are allowed to anchor directly on the island. Which makes me wonder if he has the coastguards there in his pocket?"

"If that is the case, I will deal with them too when the time comes," thundered AJ, his words charged with conviction!"

Perseus chose this moment to speak up "AJ Gioura is home to Cyclops Cave. Athena has imparted to me that this is the reason Victor is using Gioura!"

"Athena has also told me that it is important that you get to Gioura as soon as possible. You must use stealth in your approach, and getting to the cave is a vital!"

"I will take that as an imperative Perseus," AJ gave in answer.

AJ then explained to the others, what Perseus had told him and Athenas involvement.

"Kostas, he asked, "how soon will Nikos be back, we need to take heed of Athenas warning to get to Gioura as soon as possible"

"I'll call him now."

"Lykos, do we have all the kit we need, I think the two of us will be able to handle this, do you agree?" enquired AJ.

"In the simplest terms, with the firepower we have on board I think we are well covered. I have tactical communication gear we can use. If we are going stealth, I am thinking crossbows and knives are the preferred option, with maybe a hand pistol for back up!" Lykos declared.

"Dimitri, I will be taking Titan with us his natural instincts will be invaluable. So I'll leave Aella in your safe hands!" added AJ.

"You have no worries where that's concerned, just keep us apprised of your situation thought the bond you share with Aella."

"Nikos will be back any minute now, Georgos we need to be ready to go in the next few minutes," remarked Kostas.

"All is set we just need to pull up the gangplank once Nikos is back. Lykos and Giorgos went down to the Beach Club at the stern, to be ready for Nikos.

As they got to the top of the gangplank Nikos pulled up in the taxi, so they rushed down to bring all the supplies for Titan on board.

After carrying up on deck fifteen 500 gram bags and five wax boxes filled with meat, there was little doubt that Titan would not run short of anything.

Lykos then jumped of back on to the port to release the mooring lines, so they could cast off, after doing so, he swiftly jumped back on board as Georgos eased his way out from the mooring and then using the bow thrusters turned one hundred and eight degrees to head out to see.

AJ, once more used his psychic ability to check on Victor, which confirmed he was still on board "Chesma".

"I don't think we need to worry about listening in on them for a little while," suggested Lykos as he came back up to the Fly Bridge.

AJ agreed, as they knew Victor and his cronies would be heading for Gioura soon enough anyway. They themselves would have already arrived and had time to prepare a plan once they had scouted the area, in particular Cyclops Cave.

"I think we should stop of in Alonissos and pick up the Targa, we can then anchor of shore, and use it to give us a stealthier approach to the island!" suggested Lykos. To which they all agreed.

Within the hour they were manoeuvring into their mooring back in Alonissos.

Perseus once more spoke to AJ from within his mind, "AJ, Athena has provided more information to me. There are 2 other young girls being kept in the cave. They are being watched over by the coastguards, so they are definitely in Victors' pocket!"

This would change things thought AJ. The girls may be scared and traumatised. If confronted by more armed men. AJ and Lykos could end up making the situation even worse for them, adding to their distress.

AJ thanked Perseus for the information. They would need to reconsider their plan!

AJ turned to the others, "I have further information that there are two more girls being held in the cave, I will need to take Aella with us to help keep the girls feel safe when we are able to rescue them."

"AJ, Athena has allowed me to offer you the use of the Helm of darkness. Perseus continued."It is a helmet that renders the wearer invisible. Athena permitted me to use it to sneak up on Medusa and decapitate her. You could use it to protect Aella when she goes with you."

"You will find it on the bed in your cabin, Hermes was tasked with delivering it to you, as he was the last god to use it!"

AJ and Aella went down to the master cabin, and on the bed was a Greek helmet. It looked very heavy, and AJ worried that it may be too much for Aella.

Aella walked over and picked it up. It was deceptively light. She put it on her head and it felt so comfortable, almost like she could not feel it upon her head at all.

"Am I invisible now AJ?" Aella questioned him.

"No I can still see you as clear as day, I wonder how it works?" he said, his eyes narrowing in curiosity.

"You have to want to be invisible," said Perseus impatiently, as if teaching young children. "Just will it in your heart!"

Aella concentrated on her feelings, telling herself she needed to be invisible if she was to help the poor girls being held captive.

AJ gasped, eyes wide in disbelief, "You've vanished Aella, I can't see you at all. But I can still feel you here, right beside me. He stepped back, catching his breath, "We have to get up on deck, if I'm right no one else will be able to see or feel you, not a soul!"

"Follow me, I don't want to knock you over, "AJ chuckled.

As AJ ascended the stairs to the saloon he could feel Aella a step or so behind him, her presence brushing the edge of his mind.

A sudden thought shot through him: if their connection ever broke, if she vanished not just from view but from sense, he didn't know how he'd bear it. The emptiness left behind would shatter his heart into a million pieces!

As he reached the saloon, AJ enquired, "Dimitri, Kostas have you seen Aella, I went into the bathroom, when I came back into the cabin, she had vanished.

"Well she certainly hasn't returned up on deck, so she can't be far. Have you tried reaching out with your connection to find out where she is?" Dimitris answered.

At that instant, Aella appeared before their eyes, by AJ's side. The reaction from Dimitri and Kostas was priceless; their eyes bulged out like they were on stalks.

"What the Gods is this? Blurted Kostas, "how can this be?"

Dimitri at once made the connection to the helmet Aella was wearing. "Is that what enables you to do this?" he asked pointing at it.

"This was lent to us by Athena, it will offer more protection, and may also give us an advantage should we need it," AJ said in the simplest terms.

"I need to go through the kit we'll be taking with Lykos and plan our approach to the cave."

AJ went up to the Fly Bridge, to find Lykos and Giorgos chatting about what they had heard from the conversations on "Chesma". They told AJ that from what they had listened to, the two girls on board, along with the two on Gioura were to be sold to an American film producer, who made millions of dollars from making snuff movies.

Hearing this AJ was incensed, he could not comprehend the thought of allowing it to happen. NO.... this would not happen on his watch, he would end Victor and all involved!

"AJ, I suggest we add Giorgos to the team. Over the last few months I have trained him on the L115A3.338 sniper rifle, it was only as a bit of a bonding thing and a way of spending time, having a little fun." Lykos stated plainly.

"We can have Giorgos up on high ground to give us fire cover should we need it."

"I'm with you on that, then, agreed AJ. "We will also have another advantage with taking Aella with us." he then explained to the two of them about the Helm of Darkness that had been delivered to him by Hermes himself.

"We truly have the backing of the gods!" Lykos declared.

They sorted through the gear they'd be taking. Lykos had prepared tactical vests and daypacks to carry the extra equipment they hoped wouldn't be needed. They also had patrol communication headsets and a supply of medical gear, the latter of which, they trusted would return with, unused.

"We know that Cyclops Cave is about 450 metres inland on the northwest of the Island, there is a beach close by with easy access, which I would bet is used by Victor and any others involved in his heinous crimes." Explained Lykos.

"However, on the northeast there is an outcrop of rock that shelters from view of the open sea, a very small bay. From there it is a 750 metre hike to the cave. When we have a GO, "Aellas Choice" can move in and moor up further to the south of the island, ready to come down as soon as we give the signal."

"That way, if it's spotted, our yacht will just appear to be another overnight mooring, and shouldn't draw any special attention."

"Tactically, we need to move in tonight. That way we have the time to carry out a recce on the cave. We can go up around the southern tip of the Island and back down to the bay we should land at."

"Aellas Choice" can moor up off the island of Pelagos tonight, that way; they will only be fifteen kilometres away, ten minutes for the Targa!"

AJ, decided on a callsign for the four of them taking part in the mission. Keeping it simple, he would be Blue one, Lykos blue two, and Giorgos blue three. But just for amusement they all decided Aella would be pink one.

The other two also decided AJ should be the one to tell Aella her callsign!

They all headed to "Tassias Cooking" and once more had great food although three of them would not be drinking alcohol that night!

AJ missed having a Mythos, but found that the mixed berries ice tea was delicious in its own way.

They let Tassia know that they would be heading up to Pelagos for a few days, and if any strangers should come asking about them, everyone should feign ignorance.

They knew Tassia would make sure everyone in Steni Vala knew what to say, and more importantly, what not to say by the next morning!

The group returned to "Aellas Choice" with Captain Georgos going up to the Flybridge. Nikos went and released the mooring lines, so they could cast off.

They eased away from port and headed towards Pelagos. AJ got some food ready for Titan, thinking ahead that it may be morning before they returned to the yacht. As when they arrived at their evening destination, the smaller group would head off to Gioura.

Less than an hour later as they were approaching Pelagos they were treated to a magnificent orange, ochre sunset as it sunk over the jagged crest like molten gold.

Wrapped together in that precious moment, he held Aella in his arms, turning to her, he whispered, "Nothing, nothing in this world compares to the beauty of holding you, here, now, with the sky on fire above us... it feels like the universe is showing us where we're meant to be."

"I truly feel we have found our home!"

"I feel the same baby, everything feels like we were brought here, to this exact moment to shape whatever comes next... together."

Lykos pulled along the stern of the yacht, ending their precious moment together!

They checked their equipment and AJ, Aella, Lykos and Giorgos got ready to make their way over to Gioura.

AJ told Titan he had to stay on board "Aellas Choice" until they got back, but he would be joining them tomorrow. Titan huffed, seemingly giving his approval.

Within fifteen minutes Lykos slowed the outboard on the Targa and drifted in to the sheltered bay to make their mooring.

AJ, leapt of the front of the Targa onto the small patch of sandy beach, taking with him the mooring line, which he used to pull the Targa slightly closer to land, then securing the line around a pointed rock, which was in a perfect position for the task!

They all put on the communication headgear, and AJ whispered to everyone in turn to make sure they still had a signal with each other. As he spoke to Aella, he told her my callsign is blue one, Lykos is blue two, Giorgos is blue three and......"I'm blue four I take it!" interrupted Aella.

"No, you're pink one," AJ stated plainly.

To Giorgos' and Lykos' dismay Aellas' face bloomed into a massive smile. "I love it, thanks baby!"

"Aella I want you to remain invisible and right behind me unless told otherwise, do you understand? I won't compromise on keeping you safe.

"Sure thing baby," whispered Aella into her mouthpiece.

"Giorgos, keep 3 metres behind me to protect our rear. Lykos, you know where the cave is positioned, so you take point."

With back packs on and all four carrying Vlad crossbows, they moved off up the small track made by the indigenous Kri Kri goats.

They moved slowly, ensuring they listened to their surroundings as they quickly became attuned to the sounds of the descending evening. Steadily they moved along as they ascended the incline that lead towards the cave.

The ground cover was mainly bushes and shrubs such as pistacia, mastics, phillyreas, heathers and buckthorn. There were a few wild olive trees along with Cretan maple and kermes oaks.

Lykos held his hand up in a fist, and they immediately stopped in their tracks. Lykos went to one knee, the other three following suit. They held their formation as they did so.

"We are about three hundred metres out from the cave, he whispered, "To the right about thirty metres is another track that will lead to higher ground with an outcrop of rock that should give Giorgos cover."

"I recommend that we all go up there so we know exactly where he will be positioned in relation to the cave."

The other three agreed and they arose and moved off and soon Lykos veered to the right as they followed him. They had yet to spot any movement or any sign life from the cave position ahead. They went up a slight incline that curved slightly left in the direction of the cave.

Once more Lykos signalled with his fist and knelt as he did so. Whispering he told them to move forward and join him.

"Aella, make yourself visible for a moment." AJ asked her.

Aella immediately became visible and the three moved up to form a group around Lykos. "Giorgos, the outcrop of rock is just five metres to our left we need to crawl forwards and scout its position." Lykos explained.

All four slowly crawled forward over the compact earth, keeping their bodies as low to the ground as possible. Lykos signed to stop and he moved forward on his own to scout the rocky ground, peering over a slight ledge. Seeing no movement, he gently waved the others forward.

All four then peeked over the ledge; they could clearly identify the mouth of the cave, as there was a distinct glow of light emanating some eighty metres below them. AJ took out his night vision binoculars to get a closer scope of the cave entrance.

"There is still no sign of life down there, we need to get a closer look, but this is an ideal spot for Giorgos to provide fire cover from, you are right about that Lykos!"

"We can move back down and make our way around further towards the mouth of the cave, whispered Lykos in quiet conviction. "We will have ground cover all the way to about fifty metres from the entrance."

They retraced their steps back down to the track that led to the cave, and from there they moved forward until Lykos stopped them once more, behind a mass of buckthorn bushes, when they where fifty metres away. They could clearly see the light from the cave, although the cover hid them from view, should anyone come out.

Aella spoke at that moment, "If I go in with the Helmet of darkness shielding me, I can identify anyone inside and also assess things, keeping you informed through our link AJ, which you can share with Lykos and Giorgos!"

"I am the assessment expert of the Triumvirate after all. I will also have my crossbow with me if needed, and I can quickly call you in should things go wrong." If I can see the girls without encountering anyone else, I can speak with them, and ease their worries, which I don't think would work for you three!"

All three had no choice but to agree with Aellas logic, but AJ warned her not to take any unnecessary risks.

With that Aella once more vanished from sight and kept contact through the communication headgear for ten metres and then told AJ she would now use their link to talk to him!

The path leading up to the cave entrance was a stretch of smooth, gritty soil that muffled Aellas' footsteps, allowing her to move stealthily forward.

Relief washed over her, as she released a breath she hadn't realised she was holding in!

Nothing betrayed her approach, as she crept along until she reached the shadowy fringe of the cave's mouth, carefully, she edged forward and peered around the entrance.

"All clear so far!" she told AJ.

The dim interior yawned before her, but no movement stirred, no guards. For now, the entrance stood quiet, unwatched. However she could now hear voices, and they didn't sound too far away.

Though cloaked in invisibility, Aella still trod ahead with deliberate care, to avoid announcing her arrival.

"I can see a bend to the left ten metres in from the cave entrance! Aella telepathically told AJ, "I'm moving forward to it, I can hear male voices, so I doubt I will be able to make contact with the two girls."

As she peeked around the bend, she saw it opened up into a small chamber that she estimated to be about five metres from wall to wall, on all sides. It was around three metres in height. Two men in Coastguard uniform sat in camping chairs chatting to each other on the right side of the small space.

Straight ahead she could see the two girls huddled together on a camp bed! She relayed this information to AJ once more.

Aella could see that the girls showed no visible signs of any harm, a wave of relief washed over her that they were not in immediate danger. And she vowed to keep it that way.

Aella quickly retraced her steps, at the same time remaining cautious, lest she make a sound and alert the two men. She was quickly back and found the three waiting for her.

Lykos signalled for them to leave, and they made their way back on the goat track and away from the likelihood danger of discovery. Stealth and surprise would be the watch words over the next three days!

As they reached the small beach and the Targa, Aella whispered out an explanation of what she had discovered inside the cave. They all climbed aboard and Lykos used the quiet trolling motor to ease away from the island.

When they were four hundred metres out he switched to the large outboard engine, and they were soon on the way back to rendezvous with "Aellas Choice" AT Pelagos.

As they approached the motor yacht, AJ could clearly see the look of relief on the faces of Dimitri, Kostas and Mara who stood at the beach club at the stern, in obvious lookout for the intrepid bunch.

As it was late in the evening, it was decided that they would all retire for the night, leaving the planning for the rescue of the two girls, along with capture the errant coastguards for the morning, when everyone would have fresh heads!

When Aella and AJ reached the master cabin, she spun around, her eyes flashed with fear. Before she could speak, he pulled her into a protective embrace. Her body trembled within his arms.

"That's what Victor has planned for me if he ever finds me," she whimpered, as her voice broke. The words stung her to her core, and then the dam burst--she collapsed into uncontrollable sobbing.

AJ led her towards the bed and gently undressed her, all the while comforting her with feather light touches and soothing words. Gathering Aella softly in his arms, he laid her down, and hastily divested himself of his own clothing.

AJ then lay down beside her, once more taking her into his arms. "Victor will never lay even one finger on you ever again. By the time the week is out he will cease to exist, along with the whole bunch of degenerates who work with him."

"I will also make sure this American Film producer never sees another day as well, he and anyone with him will pay dearly for the fortune they have amassed, collected on the back of the misery they have caused, and the lives they have taken!"

He lowered his lips to hers and they joined in a shared passion, which quietened the anguish inside Aellas' soul.

As Aellas' breathing slowed and deepened, AJ held still, listening. Only when he was certain she'd joined Hypnos, the god of sleep did he shift, eyes fixed on the dark beyond the window. Inside him, something far more dangerous was taking shape.

He stared into the night, when suddenly Perseus' spoke to him from within.

"Tomorrow begins the reckoning. Every step will be calculated. "Every breath brings us a step closer to retribution--a resolution for all those unfortunate souls, the victims of Victors' and this Americans depravity."

AJs' jaw tightened, "Victor's life is already over. He just hasn't realized it yet." He promised himself!
