Cleopatra XXX

August 10th of 30 BC. The location, the palace of Alexandria, Egypt. Cleopatra, the last queen of Egypt, has been defeated by the forces of the Roman general Octavian. Octavian has been declared Julius Caesar's heir and will be the first Emperor of the Roman Empire. Cleopatra's lover, General Marc Antony, who in revolt against the power of Octavian, fought his armies, has been killed when his own soldiers gave up to the armies of Octavian after their defeat at the Battle of Actium. Messengers deliver the news of Antony's death to Cleopatra in her palace and the coming of Octavian. In despair, Cleopatra takes her two handmaidens Charmion and Eiras and flees to her own tomb in the nearby desert. She hides herself there and plots her next move. She knows that her son by Julius Caesar, Caesarion, will be killed under orders of Octavian. There is nothing left for her. She sends word from one of her messengers to tell Octavian that she would not be lead in a triumph parade in Rome as a conquered queen. She refuses to give up her throne in order for Rome to have Egypt as it's province. She then plans to commit suicide by way of snake bites of many cobras and asps. Before she does this, she reminisces and remembers her happy sex life with Julius Caesar when she first met him and her sex with Mark Antony. These are her erotic memoirs.
