A Room of Contradictions

"Ok... after a quarter turn these should all line up and then..."

CLICK

"Ugh, finally!" she triumphantly thought to herself as she grabbed the key from the lockbox and rushed to the door.

Kitty had been stuck on this puzzle for almost 20 minutes now and what little patience she had long since burnt away like the candles dribbling wax down the walls.

She could hear the logic of her husband's thoughts as he must've planned out this birthday "gift" for her. True, puzzles were certainly fun - and she'd never been to an escape room either - but they're more fun *together*. Kitty hadn't seen him for over an hour now. It was hard to tell exactly how long without having her phone.

"Why do I have to give up my phone?"

"Well they don't want you cheat or anything. Plus they probably don't want you taking pictures and sharing them online to spoil anything for other customers."

"Yeah but I'm not on social – I don't post anything"

"I know, I know. But they don't know that, I guess"

He leaned closer to her so only she could hear:

"How bout this, I'll give up my phone and keep yours in my pocket. They won't notice it in my baggy pants and then I just keep it on me in case you get any important calls. Who's gonna know?"A Room of Contradictions фото

"Ok. Purse it is!" as she placed her phone into his pocket. Always a fan of having more storage on the go and having someone understand her need to be available - just in case.

The door in front of her opened stubbornly to reveal a small hallway choked thick with the hot air of more candles burning. Her eyes were beginning to get watery as she approached what she hoped was the last stage of this whole event. Above the entrance she saw a brass plate etched with the word CONTRADICTIONS.

Every room so far had had an underlying theme, so no surprises here, but this was certainly a little vaguer than the LIGHTHOUSE and LOG CABIN rooms from before.

Inside, the CONTRADICTIONS room was quite dark. Lush, red curtains draped the walls and a small assortment of academia themed furniture was spread within. Tiny white placards were scattered around the room, standing out starkly in the dim light.

Kitty sat down at a small writing desk and noted a tray of cute, little frosted cookies with a sign next to them saying DO NOT EAT ME. The desk itself wobbled rather unsteadily and its lone drawer was locked.

Strangely, there was no obvious exit from this room. And she swore it was getting hotter. At least she had let Bear talk her into wearing a comfy dress. Baggy sweats and leggings were her usual go to but something about wearing a soft red dress on a warm day was certainly appealing.

Smoothing out the pleats of her outfit she looked around for more clues. It didn't take long to find DO NOT SIT HERE scrawled on the bottom of the arched, cushioned chair she found herself in, along with a number of other warnings of sorts. Warnings she had broken just by carrying on through the puzzle!

DO NOT CLOSE THE DOOR

DO NOT PRESS THE BUTTON

DO WEAR A DRESS

That last one certainly tickled the back of her mind.. Was someone watching? Did they know what she was wearing beforehand or was this all a ruse to throw her off? The minutes were ticking by on a large grandfather clock - a clock she now noticed didn't count upwards to 12, but counted down from 10, and with only a slender minute hand on its face slowly ticking past the 8.

A timer!

She raced around the room, turning over papers, peeking behind curtains, and rattling the locked drawer on the writing desk. Something heavy was inside of it, but where was the key?

Kitty rocked impatiently in the plush chair, despite its objections, and fanned her flushed face with some blank pages from the desk. Her eyes rested on the sweets. They were slender, wafer type cookies with a light chocolate glaze. The DO NOT EAT ME taunted her.

"A Room of Contradictions, eh?"

The first cookie crumbles in just three little bites. Supple and sweet, but much drier than she would've hoped. Maybe she would just break apart the others.

The clock ticked by the 4 as she ravaged through the bowl, leaving crumbs in her wake. Sweat pooling on her brow and her mouth desperately thirsty, she found her answer in the second to last cookie. Baked inside was a long, brass key. Thank god she hadn't chipped a tooth on this stupid clue!

The writing desk drawer fought with her and her pastry key but finally slid open as the hand ticked by the 2 and revealed a small wooden box with a crushed velvet exterior. Inside there was only what looked like a TV remote, but it was more cylindrical and had but two unmarked buttons; None of which seemed to do anything at the moment.

Sighing with frustration she slumped down into the chair, madly crushing the buttons in her hand as she pulled her top open to breathe more. Kitty hated to lose, but this was a stupid room she had to admit. And right at the end too!

But she wasn't just fuming, she was really burning! Why was it so hot in here? It was making it hard to keep her eyes focused.

Did she find all the signs; did she follow all the CONTRADICTIONS?

There was one more she'd ignored, but that was ridiculous. She wasn't going to take her dress off to win an escape room.

The hand ticked past the 1.

No helping it now. She would lose and then she'd get to go home, get out of this room, and get something to drink finally.

The hand ticked past the 1.

"Wait... didn't it already do that? Was it stuck?" she thought to herself as the room started to darken and blur around her.

Tick...

"God it's so damn hot in here." And it was so dark now too. So dim and fuzzy, she could barely see her hands moving in front of her face as she loosened the knot holding up her dress in the back.

Tick.

"Maybe I can at least cool down a smidge while I wait for this room to fix itself." Her top slowly fell down, revealing her naked chest to the shrouded room around her. She leaned back, tired, and the chair almost seemed to recline with her.

TICK

"So.. loud.. shhhh clock.. can't you just... lemme sleep..."

TICK

The room was pitch black around her now. The ticking pondered on like some robotic heartbeat. She felt like she was fully reclined somehow. Trying to rise up was fruitless, she was just so tired. And warm. But not that warm anymore, her breasts were now fully out in the open and her dress seemed to have ridden up a bit as she laid back. A cool tingle raced across her exposed skin as the sweat evaporated off.

"Didiwinyet?" Ugh. "DihdIwhinyett?" Her mouth was so dry it felt like it wanted to seal up. But the rest of her is soaked. Wet with sweat. So warm still.

"I need to get up and get some air." she tried to motivate her muscles to move. But even when they did, there was some resistance that wasn't from her own lethargy. She could feel it now, something on her wrists and on her ankles. Soft but firm, holding her down to this implausible chair.

A groggy panic started to fight it's way into her thoughts, but that tingling sensation on her breasts and thighs continued to build. Not just cooling her, something else. Something electric. If there was a breeze in here, she felt like she could feel every molecule of air tickling the soft hairs on her skin.

But why hadn't she felt the binds earlier? When did that happen? What's going on?!

TICK

Something moved in the room around her in the dark. She could feel it in the air. Something, or someone, was there; Lurking like a predator.

She laid there, exposed to this force in the darkness. Trembling with fear and excitement.

The cooling tingle on her thigh was suddenly replaced with a surge of warmth as something softly dragged its way across her leg. Scintillatingly slow. She couldn't help the quiet moan that muttered out of her as she bit her lip.

Is that a finger? A hand? Who's hand? Bear's hand? Did he plan all this? He never plans anyth ---

Her racing mind cut short by another feeling probing up her other leg. Warm and curious; it made its way upwards. Closer and closer it edged towards her most sensitive area, before retreating back into the darkness.

Whoever this is, they can see me. Why cant I see them?

Hands on her chest now, gently cupping her small breasts, tracing them gently as they teased closer to the peaks. Back and forth they danced across every inch of her body. Her mind was going into overdrive trying to process it all, and her body betrayed her every step of the way.

Every stroke felt like it was made of fuzzy lightning the way it reverberated through her. Was is the effect of being blind? Or was there something in that room that changed her. The wafers? The candles?

Her dress was now nothing more than a waistband as the hands grew more bold in their exploration. They were both quick and gentle, playful in their visit but never leaving her waiting for too long.

Then another feeling joined in. This one warmer and wetter. First on her body and then just above her own lips. Breath. A face somewhere in the shadow. Eyes devouring the body supine beneath them.

She was absolutely gushing down there - she could feel it without question. Not having climaxed yet but pushed closer and closer and closer. Her limbs pushing in vain against their ties as she felt that breath wander down like an encroaching storm.

That first climax came hard and fast as those lips met her lower. Her voice cracked as her mouth finally opened in a profound profanity.

But it didnt stop there. The lips were joined by a tongue and hand, striking at her most vulnerable and sensitive area. Unrelentingly they moved into her. Encircling her while fingers curled inward - expertly driving her mad with lust.

TICK

No more retreating into darkness, this force was here to stay. Wave after wave of orgasm came to her as the playful tease gave way to something more primal. Gentle but strong in its attack.

Her overloaded mind still tried desperately to piece together what was happening.

Is. This. Really. Happening?

Oh. My. FUCKING. God!

A sudden but brief pause caught her by surprise. The mouth and hands left. Then something poked against her panting mouth. Reflexively she opened it and was surprised again.

Water! Sweet, beautiful, icy cold Water!!

Gulping it down she smiled in relief. Not at all what she expecting after that assault. Her whole upper body briefly cooled as the liquid coursed through it. Only to be met by a firey hot feeling of something against her leg.

CLICK

The chair moved. Her legs spread apart with a sudden lurch as she felt hands pulling her hips closer in preparation. Something firm and blazing hot pressed into her, meeting little resistance from all the previous endeavors but moving in painstakingly slow. It felt like it would go on forever as it filled her up to the hilt.

It drew back quickly until only the tip remained, before plunging back in one full motion against her. Over and over it rocked into her. Steadily and solidly she felt something immense building inside.

But then, it paused, and in the black void of this room, another voice finally whispered out:

"The button." said the voice she'd been longing to hear.

She'd forgotten all about it. She'd been holding onto it for dear life all this time but there it was - waiting for her.

The pounding abruptly continued as she blindly fumbled with the remote in her hand. When the button finally clicked, and the vibrating ring at the base of this member finally started to shake, her brain promptly melted on the spot.

"Shame you never got out of that last puzzle."

"Haha yeah, maybe we'll just have to try it again. And again. And Again. And - "
