Be My Date
I was at University when I got the news my father had been killed in a freak accident, the first thing I did was rush home to be with my Mum. As you would expect Mum was devastated, it took a strong sedative from the doctor to calm her down. At the time I was twenty-one while Mum was forty-four, both of us way too young to have lost someone so close.
After the funeral Mum decided to sell the house, she said there were too many memories for her to stay there. My father was a great believer in insurance, thanks to his belief and a substantial pay-out from his employers, Mum was okay financially.
Mum ended up buying a smaller house several miles away. I helped her move and decorate the place, a large framed photo of my parents on their wedding day hung on the wall above the fireplace. When I graduated I lived at home for a while, mostly to keep an eye on Mum. I was offered a job that would be easier for me to travel if I lived closer, reluctantly I moved into a place of my own. Mum was okay with me moving out, she said she would be okay on her own. I still called in twice a week to see how she was.
Mum didn't need to work, despite this she took a job as an admin assistant for a financial services company. I knew Mum well enough to know that she wouldn't have wanted to sit around all day, work kept her occupied and gave her the chance to meet other people.
When I let myself in the house I called out to Mum.
"Hey David. I'm in the kitchen."
When I walked into the kitchen Mum looked at me and smiled, she noticed I had grown a beard.
"Nice beard. It suits you, makes you look rugged, manly and a bit older." Mum smiled then gave me her usual peck on the cheek.
"Thanks Mum. So I wasn't rugged and manly before?" I asked grinning at Mum.
"Of course you were David. The beard just makes the look."
We chatted about life in general as I watched Mum prepare dinner. I got the usual question about whether I was dating. I replied that I wasn't dating. Looking at my Mum you would never guess she was forty-seven years old. It must have been something in her family genes, my grandmother was sixty-nine and didn't look a day over fifty. I remembered calling in on my grandparents one day, they were having sex on the sofa. My gran said if you acted young, you stayed young. I just smiled and promised to call before I went round next time.
Mum was about 5' 6" and slim. She had a little bit of weight on her backside but nothing excessive. Her legs were tanned and shapely, if the tight top was anything to go by her breasts were nice and firm without having any sag in them. I watched Mum move about, I realised I was checking her out.
Mum announced dinner was readyI set the table as she served the food. When we had finished eating Mum asked me if I could do her a massive favour.
"There is a summer party for all the staff in two weeks. I was wondering if you would go along with me?"
"Sure I can do that," I replied with a smile. "But won't it seem weird being there with your son?"
Mum looked down at her empty plate, I knew there was something she hadn't told me, yet.
"The thing is David. Well, the thing is I was wondering if you would go as my date, rather than as my son. You see I told a little lie to get one of the men to stop pestering me. Now everyone will expect me to arrive with a date." Mum looked slightly embarrassed when she asked.
"No offence Mum, but surely you can find a date. You are certainly pretty enough to attract a man."
"Oh I can get a date. The problem is most of them only want me for one thing. Nearly all of the men who show an interest in me are married. I am not a homewrecker, so I tell them to get lost."
"Surely there are some single men where you work?"
"There are. I just don't fancy any of them. Probably explains why they are still single." Mum giggled.
"Okay Mum. Say I agree to go. What if someone expects us to kiss, or dance real close?"
"I'm sure you can manage that, David. I hope I am not so bad that you wouldn't kiss me or dance with me."
"That's not what I meant Mum. It will just seem weird kissing you. I mean kissing you as if I was your boyfriend instead of your son."
"Please David. Please say you will come with me." Mum's eyes begged me to say yes.
"Okay, okay, I'll go along with you." I sighed as I thought that maybe it wouldn't be that bad. Mum was right about my beard, it did make me look a little more mature. Who knows maybe we could get away with the charade? I spent a bit more time with Mum before setting off for home.
On my last weekly visit to Mum before the party weekend, it was all Mum talked about. She actually admitted she was looking forward to showing me off as her date. I started to wonder if I had done the right thing in saying I would help her out. We agreed a time for me to collect Mum. She reminded me to dress smart casual, no jeans or training shoes.
Thankfully the weather was good on the day of the party. I parked up outside Mum's house and stepped out into the blazing heat of the sun, the sky was blue with barely a cloud in sight. I called out as I entered the house.
"I'll be down in a minute." Mum called back. I sat on the sofa and waited. I was wearing a light blue shirt, open collar and no tie. My black trousers and black shoes completed the outfit, I hoped it was enough to keep Mum happy.
When Mum came downstairs I looked at her and gasped. She was wearing a short pale blue summer dress, she carried a white cardigan to match the white heeled shoes.
"How do I look?" Mum asked, turning so I could see all of her.
"Beautiful Mum. Absolutely beautiful." Dressed as she was with a little make-up and hair done right. All of a sudden I was looking forward to the party. I think my heart skipped a beat looking at Mum.
"Let's go then." Mum said, smiling at me. "Don't forget to call me Jane, none of that Mum stuff."
"Okay Jane. I suppose I had better get you to the party on time." I offered my arm as I led Mum out to my car. The party was being held in the grounds of a country hotel, the bar was free and food was being provided. On the drive to the party Mum ran through the backstory of how we supposedly met.
As we walked from the car park Mum told me to put my arm around her. "Make it look good please David." I did better than that. I leant down and kissed Mum as we strolled across the lawn to meet her colleagues.
I spent the first ten minutes being introduced to everyone. Finally I made my escape and went to the bar to get us both a drink.
"Here he is now." I heard Mum say as I returned to the group of people. One guy was clearly not happy to see me. Forcing a smile he nodded and walked away.
"That is the guy who keeps pestering me for a date." Mum whispered in my ear. "He thought I was alone until you showed up." Mum giggled and took a sip of her drink.
We seated ourselves with a few women Mum worked alongside, thankfully their husbands were there for me to talk to. At first I found it strange referring to Mum as Jane, after a while it stopped bothering me and seemed to be natural. I noticed a few women give me a knowing look and a smile. Mum was radiant, she really seemed to be enjoying herself, I suppose showing off a younger boyfriend helped her feel good.
Later that evening Mum and I danced a slow number together, I held her close as Mum rested her head on my chest. "Thank you for doing this. You don't know how much this means to me." Mum whispered.
I looked down and smiled at Mum, then I kissed her. Not a small kiss on the lips, but a kiss of lovers.
"Well let's hope that convinces everyone that I am your date." Mum looked flushed as she smiled back at me. She held me tighter and ground her crotch against mine, I was getting aroused, Mum must have felt it.
I danced with several of her colleagues, Mum danced with the husbands. I was having a great time playing Mum's date. During one dance my hands were on the small of her back, Mum told me to slide them lower onto her bottom. I did as I was told, Mum gasped then smiled when I gave her backside a cheeky squeeze.
At the end of the evening we said our goodbyes. Some of Mum's colleagues said they hoped to see me again.
"I think it's a possibility. Of course, that is if Jane brings me along to any more gatherings."
"Oh I'll be bringing you along lover, make no mistake." Mum announced before we turned and headed away from the group.
"I think that went well?" I announced as I started the car.
"It did indeed. Thank you David." Mum leant across and kissed me, I felt her tongue brush against my lips. We leaned into each other and kissed.
"Get a room, you two." One of Mum's friends yelled, laughing as she tapped the car window.
Mum did most of the talking on the drive home, she was pleased that her colleagues accepted me. It helped that the guy who has been pestering her for a date stayed away from her all night. She hopes he does the same in the office. When I pulled up outside the house, Mum suggested I come in for a coffee.
I locked the car and followed Mum indoors. "Would you like a coffee David, or something stronger?"
"A coffee will be fine Mum. Any more alcohol and I won't be able to drive."
"You can always stay the night. That is if you have nothing planned for tomorrow?"
"I have nothing planned Mum. Okay then I'll have a small scotch, if you have any." Mum told me to go and sit in the lounge, she would bring the drinks in.
"Thank you for coming to the party David. I must say you made quite an impression."
"I suppose I will have to do it all again for the Christmas party, later this year?"
"If you don't mind David, that would be nice." Mum smiled and sipped her wine.
It was quiet for a very short while, Mum looked at me and smiled. "David. If this was a real date, what would you be planning to do?"
"Ah come on Mum. That's not fair, you can't ask me that."
"I can, I just did." Mum giggled. "So come on then, tell me. If this was a real date what would you be thinking of doing?"
I sighed knowing Mum wasn't going to let it rest. "If it was a real date I would probably be thinking of asking you to stay the night. Naturally if it was a real date I would have gone back to my place. As you are my mother, I have brought you home."
"Right answer. Well sort of. As we are not at your place I had better ask you. Will you stay the night David?" Mum turned on the sofa and looked at me. "Please David, I have been so lonely since your Dad passed away. I know it's wrong but I don't want to share a bed with just anyone to feel wanted.
"Do you mean stay in the way I think you mean, Mum?" I had to ask, just to clarify matters.
"Yes I do. I am so worked up after dancing with you earlier. Please say yes David, don't allow an old lady to make a fool of herself."
"You're not an old lady Mum. Yes, I'll stay the night." Mum leaned across and kissed me. We started to make out, Mum moaned quietly when I gently squeezed her breast. I felt her nipple harden as I touched her. Mum's hand was gently stroking my crotch.
"Oh Jesus." She whispered as I stroked her thigh. I nibbled Mum's earlobe as my hand cupped the crotch of her panties, I gently stroked my finger up and down. I could feel the dampness on her panties.
Mum lay back with her eyes closed, her hand still stroking my crotch. I stood and offered Mum my hand as I led her upstairs, we smiled at each other, not a word was said.
In the bedroom Mum wasted no time in getting undressed, she lay on the bed and watched me as I slipped off my boxer shorts. Mum smiled as I got onto the bed beside her. I turned Mum over onto her front, she gasped as my fingers trailed down her back and thighs. I gently stroked Mum, almost as if I was giving her a massage. I watched as Mum clenched her backside when my finger went down her spine.
Without saying a word Mum turned over. I ran my hands over her body, when I stroked Mum's thighs she closed her eyes and gasped. I kept the teasing going for a little longer, Mum moaned quietly when I played with her nipples.
"Please, David. Please, make love to me." Mum gasped.
I lay between Mum's legs, she gasped and moaned as I slowly slid my cock inside her. Mum made encouraging noises and grunts as I slowly eased in and out of her pussy. Mum had her first orgasm soon after we started, she grabbed my shoulders as she tensed up. I carried on slowly making love to Mum, we writhed around on the bed.
I warned Mum that I was close to cummimg, I expected her to tell me to pull out.
"Stay inside me, David. Cum inside me." Mum whispered to me. I arched my back as I shot my load into her, she squealed and shook gently as she orgasmed.
"So good." Mum hissed. Mum pulled my head down and kissed me. "Thank you, David. Thank you for everything."
After a short rest we fucked. This time it was more vigorous, Mum loved it when I took her from behind. I don't know how many times Mum orgasmed. I know after the fourth load I was spent for the night. Mum fell asleep cuddled into me. In the morning we made love slowly, Mum loved it when I used my tongue on her pussy.
Mum took a shower and went downstairs to make breakfast, she said if we showered together nothing else would get done. I showered and joined Mum in the kitchen, we sat in an uneasy silence.
"David, about last night." Mum spoke nervously
"What about last night?" I replied.
"Are you okay with what we did last night?"
"Yes. I mean, I know it's wrong, but we both wanted it. I will admit it would have been easier if you weren't my Mum. It's not like one of us raped the other person. Are you okay with what we did?"
Mum nodded her head. "Yes, yes I am."
"There you go, you can stop worrying now." I stood up and kissed Mum on the cheek. "I am going to head off now, I'll call in and see you during the week." Mum nodded her head and smiled.
As I drove home I wondered if Mum was having some regrets about last night. I enjoyed what we did, despite knowing it was wrong, morally and legally.
Back home I did some tidying up and odd jobs, the thought of the previous night went out of my mind. I called in to see Mum on Wednesday evening on my way home from work, she was her normal cheery self.
Mum asked me if I wanted to stay for dinner, I could see she had prepared enough food for two people.
"Sure, that would be nice. It saves me cooking later." I smiled, Mum playfully slapped my arm. After we had eaten I offered to wash the dishes.
"Leave the dishes, David. I want to talk to you." I sat back down wondering what Mum was going to say, although I had a pretty good idea what it was about.
"David, I want to ask you for a very big favour."
"Okay. What is it, accompany you to another party?" I replied.
"No, not exactly." Mum hesitated. "I want to ask you to move in with me." Mum looked at me. "You don't have to answer right away, I'll understand if you want to take time to think about it."
"Wow. I wasn't expecting that. I thought you wanted to talk about Saturday night."
"It's because of Saturday night I am asking you. I would like you to move in as my partner or boyfriend, however you want to phrase it."
I looked across the table at Mum, she looked like a lost child. I think she was expecting me to turn her down.
"Mum, come here please." I pushed my chair back from the table, Mum stood beside me. I pulled her down onto my lap, before she could say a word I kissed her.
"Is that a yes?" Mum asked when we stopped kissing.
"It is. I'll give my landlord notice first thing tomorrow."
Mum started to cry and hugged me. "Thank you, thank you so much." Mum whispered in my ear.
Four weeks after that night I moved into Mum's house, and her bed. None of her neighbours knew who I really was, it was easy to explain me away as her younger lover. Some of the female neighbours admitted they were jealous of Mum having a young lover, others weren't bothered. From the day I moved in I referred to Mum as Jane. When I accompanied Mum to any work related function, we always had a good time.
Jane's colleagues tease us about me making an honest woman of her by getting married, we just say we are happy as we are. Jane did ask me once if I regretted anything about our relationship?
"No, not a thing." Was my reply.
