This story's been running around in my head for some time, and I finally got it down on paper. There are real places used, but they are used simply because they are where they are. And I know some readers will find it difficult to believe the Bears actually are in a championship game (along with the Raiders), but after all, this is a fictional story. I hope you enjoy! And as always, votes and constructive comments are welcome...

Spencer Walker was one of a select group of people who, when they were young, not only knew what they wanted to do when they grew up, but actually accomplished it. From a young age, sitting with his father watching pro and college football, Spencer knew that one day he'd be the one people would watch on TV.

When he was old enough, his parents signed him up to learn the game in a Parks and Rec league. Pop Warner was next, and soon he was playing on his middle school team. From there he went to his high school and college teams. All along, his coaches commented on how fast Spencer picked up the nuances of the game. In high school, he became one of the highest rated players at his linebacker position; consequently, he had numerous offers for college scholarships and could play almost anywhere he wanted.Games People Play фото

At the same time, growing up with him was his best friend BethAnn Simmons. BethAnn lived across the street from Spencer, and from an early age, the two were inseparable. Playing together, going to school together, attending the same Sunday school classes together, BethAnn and Spencer were deemed the 'perfect couple' by the time they were in high school. Not only were these two close, but their families were close as well, often taking vacations together and having each other over for dinners, barbeques, and pool parties.

Once in high school, it was much the same. They had numerous classes together, so they spent a lot of time studying with each other. As a freshman, Spencer made the varsity football team, although he didn't get much playing time. BethAnn had been taking dance classes for years, so making the cheerleading squad was a given. By sophomore year, Spencer was starting at linebacker and BethAnn was on the varsity dance and cheerleading squads. And even though they remained best friends, everyone around them could see their love for each other growing.

By the end of his senior year, Spencer had been named first team All-State twice, and was named his state's High School Heisman winner. He knew he had his pick of colleges, but wanted to be at the same school as his girlfriend. That decision became more difficult as BethAnn's father passed away from a sudden heart attack. Her mom had been a stay-at-home-mom for years, and suddenly had a very limited income. The life insurance he had certainly helped, as did the insurance through his workplace. But it also meant that BethAnn's choices for college became much slimmer.

"Spence, what am I going to do? I want to be with you at college, but the only one mom can afford now is a state school; I know we want to be together, but you have so many choices to play football, and I don't want to hold you back."

"You're not going to hold me back from anything. I've got a full ride scholarship at Iowa State, and they have a great football program. I know you want to go to vet school, and they have the best one around. And I bet you can get a partial scholarship for your dance skills; maybe you can get on their dance or cheerleading squad, or give private dance lessons."

"You'd do that for me? Give up a chance to play at Ohio State?"

"To be with you - yes. Besides, it's not as if the Big 12 is a slouch football league. If I'm good enough, the pros will see what I've got there as well."

So, it was set that the best friends would attend Iowa State together. But before that, they still had their senior prom and then graduation.

In the weeks and months leading up to the prom, BethAnn began to realize her feelings for Spencer were more than just best friends. Watching him in class, eating lunch, studying, or working out at the gym together, she began to feel something less than his best friend and more as his girlfriend. She knew he kept in great shape, and every time she saw him without his shirt on, she swooned. She tried to keep her emotions under control, but the final straw was when they were studying one night, he reached across the table to tuck a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. He barely touched her, but with that simple touch she was wet between her legs. And then she knew - she had to tell him how she felt, and hope that he felt the same.

Finally, it was prom weekend. They were going out to dinner together before the dance on Saturday night, with an after-prom party following. They were meeting at a friend's house to clean up and change clothes again, before heading out to an all-night diner for breakfast.

Spencer was picking BethAnn up at 6:00 for their 7:00 reservation. They both knew their mothers planned to take a ton of pictures, so they built that extra time into their plans. Finally, after all the pictures were taken, Spencer led his girlfriend to his car, hand in hand.

As they drove, Spencer had a difficult time keeping his eyes on the road and not on BethAnn. Her long brunette hair was curled around her bare shoulders; her makeup was done perfectly. When she first came down the stairs at her house, Spencer was speechless. Her long red dress fit her like a glove, and had a long slit up one leg. He could tell she was excited as well, as her nipples poked out the front of her dress.

"Spence, don't you think you should pay more attention to the road? I don't want to end up dead before I get to the dance."

"Sorry, sweetie. But I can't believe how beautiful you look tonight. I mean, you always look nice, but tonight you've taken it up several notches."

"Good, because that's exactly what I planned. I'm also wondering if you want to take things even higher."

"Higher? What do you mean?"

"Spence, we've known each other for all of our lives, and have been best friends that entire time. But recently I've began to think about us and our future together. Not thinking too far in advance, but more along the line of 'how do we really feel about each other'? I know how I feel about you, but I have no idea if you feel the same. I hope you do, so I'm just going to come out with it.

"Spencer, I love you. I think I have for a long time. I know we're both only 18, but I know I want to spend my life with you. And starting tonight, I want to be your only lover for eternity."

Spencer was quiet for a long time, gathering his thoughts. He knew how he felt about BethAnn, but was always too frightened to say anything, for fear she didn't feel like he did. But the truth was, he felt the same way about her as she felt for him.

Reaching his hand over and taking hers, Spencer smiled.

"BethAnn, I've been so afraid to tell you how I felt because I was scared that I'd lose you as a friend. But hearing you now, I know I was wrong. I love you too, BethAnn, and I want to be with you always."

Squealing in delight, BethAnn leaned over and kissed Spencer on the cheek.

"That's a down payment for later. Right now, I want to get to the restaurant and have my first meal with my soon-to-be lover."

Arriving at the restaurant, Spencer hustled around the car to open BethAnn's door. As she got out, Spencer was treated to the sight of his girlfriend's leg through the slit of her dress - a slit that ran almost to her hip. At the same time, BethAnn bent over enough for Spencer to see she wasn't wearing a bra.

"You can look now, but you can't touch until later."

Dinner was wonderful, and the two spent most of the time just looking at each other, smiling. Each knew they were with the best-looking person in the restaurant, and reveled in the idea that everyone was looking at their date.

Finally finished with dinner and dessert, the couple held hands as they walked to the door, each anxious to get the rest of their evening going. Helping BethAnn into his car, Spencer was once again treated to the sight of her long legs and unencumbered breasts. As he got into the driver's seat, BethAnn turned to him, grabbed his hand, and placed it on her breast as she kissed her boyfriend.

"A small treat for being such a wonderful boyfriend. And if we can find a darkened area while we dance, I might let you have several more treats."

The night went on, and BethAnn did whatever she could to keep them both hot and horny. Once, as they were dancing close to the wall, she turned her back to the wall and let Spencer play with her ass cheeks. Another dance she moved them in such a way that he could play with her breasts without anyone seeing, lightly squeezing and pinching her nipples. Finally, after slow dancing with her thigh pressed against his hard dick, BethAnn whispered in Spencer's ear,

"Let's say our goodbyes. I need to be alone with you."

Getting back into his car after saying their goodbyes, BethAnn gave Spencer a scorchingly hot kiss.

"Drive out to our special place. I've got a surprise for you."

Their special place was where her grandparents lived. It was a wooded area, several acres in size, that backed up to a small pond. It was quiet, and far enough out in the country as to guarantee they wouldn't be bothered by anyone.

Pulling up to the pond, BethAnn got out of the car and kissed Spencer once again.

"Pop open the trunk - part of your surprise is in there."

Not knowing what to expect, Spencer opened the trunk of his car, only to find it filled with blankets of various sizes. Looking at the perplexed look on his face, BethAnn smiled.

"I've been planning this for a while, and Cindy helped. Please don't be mad at her - this was all my idea."

"My big sister helped your plan? I'm surprised."

"You may not get along with your sister, but she's my best girlfriend, and was more than happy to help. So, stop complaining, take the blankets and spread them out. Then help me take my dress off."

Spencer quickly spread several blankets on the ground and turned back to his girlfriend. She smiled at him, then turned her back to him. Understanding what she wanted, Spencer slowly pulled her zipper down until her dress was totally open at the back. He knew she wasn't wearing a bra, and when she shimmied her hips and her dress fell to the ground, he saw she was naked under her dress.

Turning to face him, Spencer stared at the naked beauty in front of him, not truly believing this was actually happening. The two stood quietly, looking at each other, until BethAnn stepped to Spencer.

"Yes, baby, this is really happening. Once you get naked with me, I want you to make love to me - all of me. I want you to play with my tits, sucking my nipples all you want. I want you to slip you fingers into my pussy and finger me until I cum. I want you to lick me until I cum on your face. Finally, I want you to push your dick into me and fuck me until you fill my pussy with your cum. And then, I want you to do it again. Make me your woman for all time, Spence. Please make love to my body."

Knowing this was something they both wanted, Spencer quickly stripped off his tux and joined BethAnn on the blankets. It was a warm night, so they weren't worried about the temperature. They also knew her grandparents went to bed by 9:00, so they could get as loud as they wanted.

Pulling his lover into his arms, Spencer began to kiss her, starting with her lips and slowly moving down her body. He lingered at her breasts, eliciting a stream of moans from BethAnn. Moving lower, he kissed her tight torso, and then moved lower.

As he moved down her body, he noticed her breathing was getting more and more ragged. As he finally made his way between her splayed thighs, his first touch of her shaved pussy sent her into her first orgasm with her lover. Fingering, then licking her wet pussy, Spencer was relentless, making sure he covered every inch of her sex with his mouth and tongue. When he sucked her clit into his mouth, BethAnn screamed his name as her orgasm swept through her body.

Unrelenting, Spencer kept up his oral attack, but now sliding one, then two, fingers into her pussy. The new sensations triggered another orgasm, one that Spencer kept alive by continuing to lick and suck her clit. Finally, after losing count of how many times she came, BethAnn pleaded with Spencer to stop and let her recover.

"Oh baby, stop, please stop. I need to catch my breath. Hold me, Spence. Please hold me."

Reluctantly pulling his head and fingers away, Spencer laid next to BethAnn, holding her close while watching her heaving breasts. When she finally began to breathe normally, BethAnn pulled herself on top of Spencer.

"I never realized how good this would feel, Spence. My vibrator has never come close to what you did to me."

Smiling at her lover, BethAnn then lifted her hips up over Spence's and straddling his legs, impaled herself on his steel-hard erection. She was so wet, Spencer filled her pussy with only one thrust.

Once she was filled, she laid on Spencer, letting the sensation of his dick filling her pussy linger. They laid together, kissing, until BethAnn began to gyrate her hips, moving them back and forth, up and down, and in circles, grinding her clit into Spencer. After giving herself another orgasm, she began to move up and down on Spencer, fucking herself on his dick. As she began to tire, Spencer began to move his hips, deeply fucking his girlfriend.

Feeling he was going to cum soon, Spencer quickly flipped them over so he was on top and BethAnn on the bottom; knowing what he wanted, she opened her legs as wide as she could, letting her lover have his way with her. Soon he grunted and began to fill her pussy with his semen; as he did, she orgasmed once again.

When he was finished, Spencer rolled off BethAnn and laid next to her, pulling her into his arms. She laid her head on his chest, and the two lovers quickly dozed off, only to be awakened by the ringing of her cell phone. She quickly answered, but Spencer couldn't hear what she was saying.

Ending the call, she laid herself back on top of Spencer and began to grind her pussy against his rapidly rising dick.

"That was Sally, wondering where we were. I told her it was none of her business, but that we'd be back soon. I have a feeling she knows what we're doing; but it doesn't matter, because I think she and Rob are doing the same thing. But we really should get back.

"But not too soon. I want this monster back inside me, fucking me again."

The drive back to school was a quiet one, but when Spencer pulled into the parking lot, BethAnn asked him a question.

"Spence, will you do me a favor? Will you make love to me as often as we can before you leave for school?"

"Sweetie, that's a promise I'll do my best to fulfill."

Soon it was graduation day, and then summer began. BethAnn had babysitting jobs for several of the neighbors; Spencer decided that since he'd be leaving for school in July to not get a regular job. Instead, he did lawncare and landscaping for his cousin's company; his cousin knew Spencer would be leaving and added him to his crew. Spencer worked alone most days, especially when he was only doing lawn care, and loved doing the difficult landscaping jobs to help stay in shape.

One day, BethAnn had a free afternoon and decided to pay her grandparents a visit. She knew how much she'd miss them once college started and wanted to spend as much time with them as she could.

Pulling into their driveway, she was surprised to see Spencer's truck parked there. As she stepped onto the front porch, her grandmother came out to greet her.

"Hi, grandma. How are you and grandpa today?"

"Hello, sweetheart. We're both fine. How's my favorite granddaughter doing?"

"I'm fine; I came out to say hello and spend some time with you two.

"What's Spencer doing here?"

"You know those bushes at the back of the lot? I've always hated them, so I asked him if he would cut them down. He's back there now; why don't you be a good granddaughter and bring him some water and lemonade. He's been back twice for water, and I'm sure as hot as it is, he's ready for more.

"And Jeopardy is about to start, so you'll have plenty of time to be alone with your boyfriend; don't look at me like that - I was once like you - young and in love with my man. Now I'm old and still in love with my man, but I still remember what we did together when nobody was around. Go spend some quality time with Spencer - you both deserve it."

A little shocked but not ungrateful, BethAnn hugged her grandmother.

"And as far away as you'll be, don't worry about getting loud. We'll never hear you anyway."

Laughing as she walked towards Spencer, BethAnn always suspected her grandparents weren't always as conservative as they made out to be. As she got closer to the noise of the chainsaw, she was grateful she was wearing what she was - a light sundress which came down to just above her knees, but was low-cut enough that she couldn't wear a bra with it.

Suddenly, it was quiet as Spencer shut off the chainsaw. Soaked with sweat, he pulled his t-shirt off and wiped himself down. As he did, BethAnn stepped around the last corner and saw him standing there shirtless - and quickly realized her panties were soaked as she touched herself to see. Gasping at her own touch, Spencer heard the noise and turned, only to see his girlfriend with her hand between her legs. Smiling, he stepped to her.

"Need a hand with something, sweetie?"

Dropping the two thermos bottles she held, BethAnn grabbed Spencer and kissed him feverishly. Seeing him like this set something off in her head, and she couldn't get enough of his kisses. When Spencer grabbed her ass cheeks, she moaned into his mouth.

"Oh my god, Spence. I can't believe how wet I am for you. Please take my dress off and fuck me. Fuck me hard, baby. I so need to feel your dick inside me.

"And don't worry about grandma or grandpa. They're watching Jeopardy and won't hear a thing. Besides, grandma basically pushed me out here to be alone with you."

Stepping back, BethAnn unbuttoned the final buttons on her dress and let it fall to the ground. Standing before her lover is only her panties, she smiled and moved to Spencer.

"How do you want me, baby?"

"Lean over the mower so I can fuck you from behind. That way I can play with your tits, your clit, and your ass if I want."

"Just as long as you fuck me, you can do whatever you want."

Pulling off her soaked panties, BethAnn put her hands on the mower, bent over, and spread her legs wide. Spencer stood behind her, grabbed his rock-hard dick, and slowly pushed into his lover. They both moaned as he gradually filled her pussy, enjoying the feeling of fullness.

As he began to move, Spencer put his arms around BethAnn and held both her tits in his hands, fondling and lightly squeezing her nipples. In response, BethAnn moaned and began to play with her clit, anxious to orgasm as quickly as possible.

"Oh yes, Spencer. Just like that. Play with my nipples while you fuck me. Make me cum, baby. Yesss..."

As her first orgasm washed over her, BethAnn kept playing with herself, knowing another orgasm was not far behind. Spencer kept pumping in her, and his moans told her he wasn't far behind. Suddenly, he grunted as he came, filling her with several ropes of semen; and as he came, so did she, loud and long.

Soon the two were holding each other, panting as they tried to catch their breath.

"So, my sex crazed girlfriend. Think that'll do you for the next five weeks?"

"No, but I have no choice. You leave in two days, and I know how busy we both will be. I just hope my vibrator doesn't give out before I get to school with you."

Two days later, Spencer was packing his suitcases into the family van. When it was time to go, BethAnn's family came over to say goodbye. He hugged her little sisters and parents, then his own sister and parents. Turning to BethAnn, he gave her a long hug and a hot kiss.

"See you in five weeks, babe."

*****

Pulling up to his dorm, the family was met by several coaches and members of the football team, all there to help Spencer move in. The players greeted him and his parents, and then proceeded to move his stuff into his room. The coaches stayed behind, talking to his parents, assuring them that their son was in good hands.

Shortly after his parents left, a knock on his door brought Spencer face to face with his new roommate - someone who would change his life forever.

Bobby Wells was a highly recruited wide receiver with a 4-star rating. He was a great route runner, had soft hands, and blazing fast speed. But as everyone eventually found out, he was arrogant, full of himself, and a womanizer. But at this point, all Spencer knew was his reputation as a football player and that they were roommates.

As the summer workouts started, Spencer was happy he'd put the work in at school and during the early summer to keep in shape. The coaches were happy with his early progress in the weight room, and Spencer was able to feel himself getting stronger by the week.

Soon, BethAnn was on campus. She had auditioned for both the dance team and cheerleading team, and was the newest member of the dance team. When her parents dropped her off, Spencer and several teammates helped get her moved in. Her roommate wasn't arriving for several days, so she and Spencer were able to find some time alone... and they took full advantage of it.

As the season began, Spencer knew he'd be playing on special teams, as that was one of his specialties. The coaches also told him that he might see some action at linebacker, but only very seldom. On the other hand, Bobby was starting at wide receiver from the first game.

As the season went on, Spencer found himself getting on the field more and more. At first, he wasn't listed on the depth chart at middle linebacker, but by the fifth game, he was listed at #3. Two games later, the #2 linebacker was out with a concussion, moving Spencer up to #2. Then, the week before their last home game, disaster struck.

Wes Hawk (the starter) was walking across campus with his girlfriend when a drunk driver jumped the curb and drove right at them. Wes caught the movement out of the corner of his eye and was able to push his girlfriend out of the way. Unfortunately, he was hit, and was sent spinning across the sidewalk, his left leg broken in two places. A bystander called 911, someone else called one of the coaches, and an hour later, Wes was undergoing emergency surgery.

An hour after that, Spencer's phone rang, and the caller ID showed the name of the Defensive Coordinator. He told Spencer what had happened, and then went on.

"Spencer, you're starting Saturday. I know you didn't expect this so soon, but next man up. You might want to let you folks know so they can be here watching. Congratulations, and I'll see you tomorrow at practice."

Ending the call, Spencer had a goofy look on his face as he turned to the others in his room - BethAnn, Bobby, and his girlfriend of the moment.

"Spence, what's wrong? What's going on?"

"Wes is in the hospital - he got hit by a drunk driver, breaking his leg. I'm starting Saturday."

The other three in the room yelped in happiness for Spencer, who was in shock. After lots of hugs and kisses from the girls, Bobby laughed.

"The dynamic roommates, starting together. It's about damn time. Congratulations, roomie!"

"Thanks, man. I gotta call mom and dad and let them know."

The next two weeks were like a dream come true for Spencer, as he was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week twice in a row. And for the next two years, he never left the starting lineup.

While all this was going on, Spencer and BethAnn's relationship grew stronger. They spent lots of time together studying, watching TV, and hanging out with their friends. They took advantage of BethAnn's roommate having a boyfriend she stayed with several times each week, letting them have their own alone time.

One weeknight, Spencer was in BethAnn's room studying for a test when he realized she was right behind him, rubbing herself against his back. Turning around, he saw she was naked and smiling at him.

"I think you deserve a study break, don't you? Come join me in bed, and I'll make it worth your while."

Smiling back at her, Spencer stood and stripped off his clothes. As soon as he was naked, she knelt before him and pulled his hardening dick into her mouth. Spencer moaned as she licked him up one side and down the other, and almost erupted as she suddenly took him all the way into her mouth.

"Go ahead and cum in my mouth, baby. I'm sure you'll still have plenty to fill my pussy."

After filling her mouth, Spencer lay her down on her bed and began to lick the wetness from between her thighs. Reaching her wet pussy, BethAnn trembled once his tongue pushed inside her.

Ignoring her orgasm, Spencer kept eating his girlfriend until she begged him to stop licking and start fucking her.

Shifting his position, Spencer slowly slid his hard dick into BethAnn's wet pussy. Bottoming out, both lovers moaned at the feeling, and soon she began urging him to fuck her faster. Doing as she asked, Spencer was soon slamming into her pussy, driving himself deeper with each thrust. Soon, both were reaching their limit, and with two more thrusts, Spencer was filling BethAnn's pussy.

Laying together, his studies forgotten, BethAnn asked him for a favor.

"One of my friends down the hall is dying to meet Bobby. Can you introduce them?"

"Sweetie, you know his reputation with the girls, right? I've never seen him with the same girl more than three times, and usually it's only once. Are you sure you want to get your friend into something like that?"

"Normally I wouldn't, but she's been very insistent. I told her about him, but she still wants to meet him."

"Ok, I'll let him know. I only hope she doesn't get hurt."

As it turned out, Bobby and Jessica were totally into each other from their first meeting. After their second date, he told her that if she wanted, he'd promise to be exclusive with her; from that point on, the two were as close as Spencer and BethAnn were, with the two couples often double dating.

When the season ended, Spencer met with the coaches for a year-end discussion about the season. He was surprised when the topic of the NFL came up.

"Spence, we've spoken to several scouts and coaches, and they've all said the same thing - that you have the makings of an NFL linebacker. Not now, but if you progress like you did this year, then probably after your junior year. We'd hate to lose you that early, but if the opportunity arises, we want you to be ready."

Hearing that news, Spencer made sure to follow whatever the trainers and coaches laid out for him.

The next two years were much of the same, only better. Spencer was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year two years in a row, as well as making the Big 12 All-First team and the AP All-America team both years. His relationship with BethAnn was as strong as ever, and surprisingly, Bobby and Jessica were still together. As well, Bobby was named to the Big 12 First Team, and his prolific play had grabbed the attention of many NFL teams.

After his junior year, Spencer once again had the end of season talk with the coaches. This time, however, they were more interested in his thoughts about leaving early for the NFL draft.

"Spence, we believe, and a number of scouts and NFL coaches agree, that if you declare for the draft, you'll probably be a high second round pick or possibly a late first rounder. Several teams have reached out to us to gauge your interest, but we've held them off for the time being in order to talk with you. What are your thoughts?"

"Honestly, I haven't given it much thought of yet; I always thought I'd play here for four years. Of course I'd love to play in the NFL, especially if there's that much interest and if I'd be such a high draft pick. I always told my folks that I'd get my degree, but if I go out this year, I'll still be about 8 hours short."

"If that's the only thing holding you back, don't let it. You can easily pick up those hours in the off season, and the university has always worked with us to get those types of things done."

"I'll still need to talk it over with my parents. And BethAnn. When do I need to make a decision?"

"As soon as possible. Take the time to talk to people, but don't take too long. Either way, you'll have our full backing and cooperation."

Two nights later, Spencer met with his parents at Dublin Bay to discuss what his coaches had told him over a dinner of fish and chips and Guiness. They were happy for him, but worried about his degree. After assuring them he'd get it one way or another, they told him that whatever he decided, they'd be with him. But now he needed to discuss this with BethAnn.

The next night, he had dinner with BethAnn at her favorite place in Ames, Hickory Park. Sharing a rib dinner, followed by ice cream, Spencer spelled out for her what might happen. He explained about the draft and where he might end up, and the possibility of staying in school for another year. When he was finished, he waited for her to speak her mind.

"I'm not going to sit here and tell you what to do, Spence. You know I'm not like that. This has to be your decision, and yours alone. I'm grateful to have the chance to give you my opinion, but in the end, you need to make the final choice.

"I'll be finished with my degree in May, and I know I'll be able to get a job anywhere I go. A DVM will open lots of doors. But if you do this, I promise to follow you wherever you go. However, I want to be married first. No living in sin for me - mom would have a cow if we did."

Smiling at his girlfriend, Spencer reached across the table, smiled, and asked her a simple question.

"BethAnn, will you marry me?"

The next day, Spencer told his coaches he was forgoing his senior year to enter the NFL draft. The school sent out a press release, which was quickly picked up by ESPN. Soon the sporting world was aware of his decision.

At the same time, Bobby decided to forgo his own senior year as well. He was projected as a high first round pick, and both players were excited for their professional futures.

Once this was all decided, BethAnn's mom, Spencer's mom, his older sister and BethAnn went into wedding planning. BethAnn still had school to finish, so most of the work was left to the others, letting BethAnn know what was happening.

They wanted a smallish wedding, so only friends and close family members were to be invited. Bobby was going to be the Best Man and his girlfriend Jessica the Maid of Honor. The ceremony and reception were to be held in the nicest hotel in town, with the hotel catering the affair; the hotel concierge arranged the flowers; and the hotel reserved a block of rooms for Memorial Day weekend, as the wedding would occur on May 29.

As all this was happening, Spencer and Bobby were preparing for the draft, working out for numerous teams. Speculation ran rampant as to where the two star players would end up, but both said they really didn't care as long as they were drafted.

For draft night, Bobby was invited to New York for the festivities, as he was expected to be an early first round pick. Spencer, however, stayed home, waiting for his expected second round pick.

Spencer's parents held a draft watch party at their house, and it was filled with friends and teammates. BethAnn and Jessica played hooky from school for the day to be there too.

Soon after the draft began, Spencer's phone rang with a number he didn't recognize. Answering, he was surprised at the message. Thanking the caller, he came back to the party with a semi-shocked look on his face. BethAnn came up to him and asked him what was wrong.

"Nothing's wrong. That was the GM of the Chicago Bears, making sure I was watching the draft. He wanted me to be prepared for a possible surprise."

Just then, the room got quiet as the next pick was announced.

"With the fifth pick of this year's draft, the Las Vegas Raiders pick Bobby Wells, wide receiver, Iowa State University."

The room exploded with cheers, and Jessica was hugged by all. She and Bobby had spoken many times about their future, and she was now sure she would be living in Las Vegas.

The draft went on, and the party loudly continued until it was time for the next pick.

"With the 28th pick of the draft, the Arizona Cardinals have traded with the Chicago Bears. With this pick, the Chicago Bears have chosen Spencer Walker, linebacker, Iowa State University."

The room exploded once again, and this time both Spencer and BethAnn were surrounded by friends, hugging and kissing. Finally able to move away from the crowd, Spencer found his parents, crying softly in the corner. Going to them, he hugged both tightly and whispered,

"Thank you, mom and dad. Without your support, I'd never have made it."

His phone rang again, and answering it he was greeted by the head coach of the Bears, welcoming him to the team. The GM was also on the line, and after some small talk, they got down to business.

"Spencer, we're anxious to get you to Halas Hall, so meet with your agent as soon as you can and have him get with us. We really don't want the contract talks to drag out, so let's get together soon. Also, we know you're getting married soon, and we promise to work with you to get you the days off you'll need. Not for a honeymoon - that'll have to wait for the off season. But enough time for you to enjoy your wedding and a day or two after."

"That all sounds great. Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity. I promise I won't let you down."

The rest of the night was filled with congratulatory phone calls from friends and teammates. Bobby called as well, and the two made sure he would be able to get away for the wedding.

Soon, the party was over, as people began to drift away home, leaving Spencer, his parents, BethAnn, and her parents sitting in the kitchen, all sipping champagne. All were exhausted by the evenings events, but too worked up for sleep. The talk finally got around to wedding plans, and how everything was fitting together.

"I spoke to the hotel this morning, and we ran down our list, and everything is finalized, or will be soon. All we need now is for the day to arrive."

And then it was time. The wedding party gathered at the Hilton for the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and all were in good moods. But Spencer noticed BethAnn was acting 'off'. He couldn't put his finger on it, but he had noticed this for the past several weeks. He talked to his sister about it, but she thought it was just nerves, so Spencer let it go. And that night, there it was again, her acting 'off'. He asked her about it, but she offered the same excuse - nerves - as his sister did, so he left it alone and waited for the next morning.

As he left the dinner, he gave BethAnn a long hug and kiss. She would be staying the night at the hotel; that way, Spencer wouldn't see her before the wedding, and then afterwards, they would spend the next two nights in the honeymoon suite.

"I love you, BethAnn. And I can't wait to see you in your dress, walking down the aisle to me."

"I can't wait either. And I think you'll like the dress, as well as the surprises I'll have under it."

Giving him a quick kiss, she smiled and walked away. As she entered the elevator, she turned and gave Spencer a small wave, and the doors closed behind her.

It was the last time he saw her for nearly four years.

*****

Three years later

Spencer sat at his usual table at The Sports Page, sipping on his beer and enjoying his plate of wings. Scrolling through his phone he stopped at a picture that made him realize what that day's date was - May 29, the day that should've been his third wedding anniversary. Instead, it was a day that brought him back to heartbreak and betrayal.

Spencer and his parents arrived at the hotel at 10:00 the next morning to get ready. The wedding was slated for 11:00, and the hotel had done a wonderful job of getting everything ready. At 10:30, guests had begun to filter in, and by 10:45, the seating area was almost full. Spencer was waiting with his father in a small room at the front of the ballroom when his sister popped in.

"Spencer, have you heard from BethAnn? She's not in the dressing room and isn't answering her phone."

"No. She told me last night the first time I would see or hear from her today was when she came down the aisle.

"Dad, would you two go check on her?"

Taking BethAnn's father along, the trio stopped at the front desk of the hotel to ask a manager for help. Grabbing her master key, the day manager led them to BethAnn's room. Knocking on the door, there was no answer, so the manager opened it up.

Stepping into the room, they were all surprised to see the room void of luggage and clothes. It looked as if nobody had been in the room for days. The two fathers looked at each other, not understanding what was happening when they heard Cindy's voice call out from the bedroom.

"Dad, Mr. Simmons, you need to see this."

Laying on the bed was a red scarf - the one Spencer had given BethAnn for Valentine's Day - and on top of it was an envelope with Spencer's name on it.

"Dad, you better give this to Spence."

Hurrying back to his son, Mr. Walker handed him the envelope.

"This was on the bed, laying on the scarf you gave BethAnn. I have a feeling this will tell you everything."

Tearing open the envelope, Spencer read the letter twice before crumpling it up and tossing it onto the floor. He turned to his father and Mr. Simmons with tears welling in his eyes.

"Read it for yourself, but I'm leaving for Chicago. Thank you both for everything you've done for me, but I'm done with this bullshit. Please give mom and Mrs. Simmons a kiss for me.

"Dad, I'll let you know when I get to Chicago. Please don't say anything right now - we'll talk when I calm down. Goodbye."

Spencer left the hotel by a back entrance so he didn't have to see anyone who'd come for the wedding. Once he was gone, his father picked up the crumpled piece of paper and read it.

Spencer,

I'm so, so sorry to do this to you like this, but I feel like I have no choice. It's not that I don't love you anymore, but more that I love someone else more than you. I tried to tell you numerous times, but I could never come up with the right words; and by doing it this way, it's obvious how much of a coward I am. I didn't mean to fall in love with Bobby - it just kind of happened. We all were so close for so long that one day I realized that I really did love him. We kept it from you and Jessica because we didn't want to hurt you any more than we are.

Good luck with your career - believe it or not, I will be rooting for you.

Love,

BethAnn

A sudden jolt at his table brought Spencer back to reality. Looking up, he saw a beautiful young woman, who looked vaguely familiar, sitting across from him.

"I hate to bother you, but you look like a nice guy, and I need a favor. Please pretend you know me - some guy has been hitting on me and won't take no for an answer, and I told him I was here with my boyfriend. Please help - I'm really just waiting for my friends to show up."

Taken aback, Spencer smiled at the intruder.

"Of course I'll help."

Just then 'the guy' showed up, looking for the woman.

"See, I told you I was with my boyfriend, so leave me alone."

Backing off, the guy apologized and left, leaving Spencer and the woman alone.

"Thank you for your help, Spencer. I really appreciate it."

"How do you know who I am? Do I know you?"

"You're Spencer Walker, middle linebacker for the Bears. All Pro the last two years. Defensive Player of the Year last year, and runner-up the year before. My family has had season tickets since the Bears played at Wrigley. So of course I know you.

"Do you come here often?"

"Usually on Tuesdays for their wings and beer specials. How about you?"

Just then, the woman jumped up from the booth.

"There're my friends. Thanks again for your help. Who knows, I might see you next Tuesday."

Giving Spencer a kiss on his cheek, the mystery woman joined her friends, leaving Spencer with more questions than answers.

The next week, Spencer headed back to The Sports Page, both for their wings and hopefully to see that same woman again. He had just been seated in his booth when she sat opposite him once again.

"Spencer, you're back. Good to see you again."

"Same here. But I'm wondering if I'm ever going to get your name so I don't have to keep thinking of you as the strange woman at the pub."

Laughing, the woman held her hand out.

"Kim. Short for Kimberly Rose, which nobody except my grandma uses. And my parents when they're mad at me. You know 'Kimberly Rose, what did you do' type of thing."

"I do know. 'Spencer David, get your ass down here now.' Nice to meet you, Kim."

The next several hours were spent talking about football, jobs, college, places each wanted to see - everything and nothing. The only aspect not touched on was family, a subject they both steered away from.

When there was a lull in their conversation, Spencer decided to take the plunge and ask Kim a family question.

"Ok, since you now know all about me, and I know a lot about you, I think it's time for you to tell me your last name. I can certainly keep calling you Kimberly Rose if you prefer."

There was a hesitation before Kim answered.

"Spencer, I'll tell you, but you have to promise me you won't get mad at me, or anything like that. Please."

"Alright, I'm pretty sure I can handle that. You're not related to a serial killer or something similar, are you?"

"A serial killer? No. But something almost as bad."

"Almost as bad? Kim, what's wrong?"

Spencer could see Kim trying to hold back tears, so he waited until she was ready to proceed.

"Spencer, I really like you, for a whole host of reasons. I'm just afraid that you'll hate me when you hear what I have to say."

"I promise I won't hate you. Now spill."

Taking a deep breath, Kim whispered 'Wells'.

Spencer looked at her for a moment before he reacted.

"Wells. As in Bobby Wells?"

Nodding her head, Spencer could see her tears dripping down her face. Furious, he stood to leave.

"What is this, a game your family plays - how many times can we humiliate Spencer Walker? You all fooled me once, but not a second time. I'm out of here..."

"Spencer, no! Please hear me out. I hate what he did to you, and my family feels the same. Please, listen to what I have to say. Please..."

Seeing the anguish on her face, Spencer sat back down, warily looking Kim over. Was this a trap, something to humiliate him once more? Or was she genuinely horrified at what Bobby did? Deciding to give her a chance to explain, Spencer waited for her to talk.

"Bobby and I are cousins - first cousins. Our fathers are brothers, but that's where the connection ends. Growing up, Bobby was the type of person who needed the spotlight on him, and only on him. I lost count of the number of times he pissed off all the cousins by doing or saying something to put us down. He never had a steady girlfriend in high school, because the girls all knew he wouldn't date them more than once... unless they put out for him. Many did, but those that didn't were subject to his bullying and verbal abuse.

"When we heard he had a steady girlfriend in college, we were all shocked, but hopeful that he'd changed. Turns out, he hadn't. When he pulled that stunt, we all felt so bad for you, but you left so quickly that nobody could talk to you. I ended up sitting with Jessica for several hours; she was a wreck as well. No one could understand why it all happened.

"Since then, he's become a pariah in our family - no invitations to family gatherings, no holiday gifts, no nothing. Our family always gets together over the 4th of July at one of our houses. Last summer, he showed up with... her, and my uncle - his own father - asked him to leave. It was a tense situation that left several of my aunts crying. As they left, Bobby was screaming at his parents and calling us all horrible names. And she was in tears as he pulled her to their car. I almost felt sorry for her... until I remembered what she'd done. Karma's a bitch sometimes."

Spencer was quiet for a long time, letting Kim's words sink in. He had been bitter for a long time, not letting anyone get close to him, especially a woman. And it was true that he felt a connection to Kim, but would he be able to put her family connection to Bobby and BethAnn aside?

The two sat at the table, looking at each other and not saying a word. Spencer knew how Kim felt about him, and he felt the same way for her. Perhaps this was his chance to put the past in the past forever and move on with his personal life.

Finally, after giving her a small smile, Spencer reached his hands across the table to Kim. Smiling back at him, Kim put her hands in his and held them tight. Holding back her tears, she lifted his hands to her face, giving each a kiss.

Spencer stood and moved to sit next to Kim, still holding her hands. Leaning over, he gently kissed her.

"Kim, you have nothing to be sorry about. We can't pick our families, but it sounds like you have a great one... other than one bad apple. I understand why you hesitated to tell me your name; if I was in your position, I'd probably do the same. But now that it's out in the open, we never have to talk about it again. And to answer your unasked question, yes, I'd like to see where this goes. If it becomes 'us', then great. And if not, so be it. But I'd like to give 'us' a chance."

Laughing through her tears, Kim grabbed Spencer by the neck and held him tight, whispering 'thank you' in his ear. After a while she let go and sat back, smiling her thousand-watt smile at him.

"Would it be ok if I told my parents my new boyfriend is Spencer Walker, the star football player? They probably won't believe me, but can I tell them anyway?"

"Absolutely. As long as I can tell my parents my new girlfriend is Kim Wells. They won't know who you are, but that's alright. They'll find out soon enough."

And so it began. Spencer's training camp was starting soon, so the couple spent as much time together as they could. Kim was a partner in a law firm whose specialty was corporate law, so most days she could leave her office at a decent time. They spent time going to the many museums in Chicago as well as attending concerts, going on picnics, and attending travelling Broadway shows.

One day, Spencer called Kim at her office, something he rarely did.

"Spence, this is a surprise. Is something wrong?"

"Nope. Just wondering if you're free tomorrow, from about 1:00 to late in the evening. I have a surprise for you."

"Ooh, I love surprises, so yes, I'm free. What's the dress code?"

"Casual all the way. I'm wearing a polo and jeans, so you can do whatever you want. I'll pick you up at your place at 1:00. See you tomorrow."

Saturday afternoon, promptly at 1:00, Spencer knocked on Kim's door. As the door opened, he got a nice surprise of his own, as she was standing there wearing a brightly colored sundress that ended just above her knees; two thin straps tied at the back of her neck, holding the dress tightly against her torso.

"Wow. You really do casual well. You look beautiful."

"Thanks. That's the reaction I was hoping for. So where are we going?"

"I told you it was a surprise, so you'll just have to wait to find out."

Holding the car door open for her, Spencer was greeted by a flash of thigh as Kim sat down. Smiling at him, Kim knew she had his attention.

After an hour drive, Spencer pulled up to a place that Kim was very familiar with - Guaranteed Rate Field, the home of the Chicago White Sox. Kim had mentioned she was a Sox fan, but had never been to a game, only watching on TV.

As Spence helped her out of his car, she gave him a hug and a soft kiss.

"Nice surprise. Thanks."

"You're welcome. But this is only the first part of the surprise. Follow me."

Soon they were entering the stadium where they were warmly met by an older gentleman.

"Kim, this is Robert Anderson, or Bob, or as I call him, B. A. Bob is the GM of the Sox and a good friend. Bob, please meet my girlfriend Kim Wells."

"Nice to meet you, Kim. I'm surprised Spencer has a woman on his arm, not to mention such a good-looking woman. He's notorious for being a loner. So, did Spencer tell you what's happening today?"

"No. All he said was that it was a surprise."

"Welcome to your surprise. We're starting with a tour of the entire field, from the outfield boxes to the dugouts to the clubhouse and locker rooms. When we're done with that, we're going to head to the field to watch batting practice and meet some of the players. And once that's done, we're heading up to one of the skyboxes over home plate, where you and Spencer will watch tonight's game. You'll have a dedicated member of our wait staff getting you whatever you want to eat and drink. Plus, there just might be a present for both of you up there.

"Ready for the tour?"

Spencer and Bob both laughed at Kim's reaction, as she looked like a kid on Christmas morning. After thanking Bob with a hug and Spencer with a long kiss, they headed out for the tour.

*****

Stopping at the home team's dugout, Bob gave both his guests a hug.

"I'm stopping here, as I have work to do. You two have a seat, and I'll have an escort from the team come over to keep you company. Once batting practice is over, they'll bring you up to your suite for the evening. Enjoy the rest of the night."

Kim was in awe during batting practice, as different players came over to greet her and say hello to Spencer. As the last player walked their way, Spencer smiled and stood up, laughing as he gave the man a hug.

"J. T., how the hell are you? It's good to see you again."

"Damn, Spence, why didn't you let me know you were coming. And if I'd known you were hanging out with this beautiful woman, I'd have come after you sooner. Hiya, miss. J. T. West."

"Nice to meet you, J. T. Spencer's told me nothing about you."

"Well, we go back a long way - all the way to high school, where he kept sneaking peeks off my test papers in order to pass his classes. If not for me, he'd be flipping burgers at MickeyDs."

"Oh bullshit. I pushed you along so hard, my arms got tired. But it's really good to see you. J. T., this is my girlfriend, Kim Wells."

"Nice to formally meet you, Kim. You two staying for the game?"

"Yeah. B. A. gave us the nickel tour, and when we're done here, we're heading up to one of the skyboxes for the game. Unfortunately, it's too far away for me to give you shit when you're on the field."

Laughing, the two men gave each other a hug.

"I've got to get going. Kim, it was really nice to meet you. And if this moron gives you any trouble, give me a call. I'll beat the crap out of him and take you for myself."

"Yeah, yeah. I'm sure Jeanie will love that."

"Thanks for the offer, J. T. I'll keep it in mind. Good luck tonight."

Fans were now trickling into the stadium, so their escort brought them up to their skybox for the night.

"I believe Brenda will be your waitress tonight, and will be stopping in shortly. If there's anything you need, let her know. I hope you enjoy your evening. Also, Bob said he'll try to stop in sometime during the game. And if you look over on the table, I do believe he left something for you both."

Heading to where she pointed, the couple saw two White Sox jerseys and two ball caps - a present from B. A.

"It's a good thing I'm already a Sox fan. Otherwise, I'd have to change my allegiance.

"So, you and J. T. are old friends?"

"Yeah, he was my best friend in high school. We joke about class, but he was one of the valedictorians the year we graduated. He got drafted by the Sox right out of high school and made it to the majors two years ago. I've been to his house several times - his wife Jeanie is a doll, and their two kids are great. Hopefully we can get together with them sometime soon."

"I'd love that, Spence. I really would."

The game started, and Kim was having the time of her life. The food served was excellent, the beer cold, the game exciting, and the company even better. As the game went on, Kim found herself falling for Spencer more and more. And unknown to her, Spencer was feeling the same way about her.

During the middle of the sixth inning, their escort came into the suite.

"Mr. Walker, are you ready?"

"Yep. Let's do this."

"Spencer, what are you doing?"

"Is it ok if my date comes with us?"

"Absolutely. Follow me."

Unsure about what was happening, Kim followed Spencer down a hallway, past several other suites, and stopping outside the broadcast booth.

"Wait here, Mr. Walker, and when it's time, I'll come get you."

"Spence, what's going on?"

"It's a surprise, so be patient. You'll see soon."

"Ok, but you do realize I'm not known for my patience."

Spencer laughed, and took Kim into his arms, holding her tight and giving her a soft kiss.

A few minutes later, the couple was led into the booth and Spencer was handed a microphone. At the end of the half inning, the stadium announcer took control.

"All right, Sox fans, get on your feet and please welcome the NFL Defensive Player of the Year, a two-time All-Pro linebacker, and Chicago's Most Eligible Bachelor, Spencer Walker!"

"Is everyone ready? A one, a two...

"Take me out to the ballgame..."

As Spencer led the fans in 'Take Me Out To The Ballgame', a tradition taking place before the home half of the seventh inning, Kim stood off to the side watching. She was amazed at how pumped-up Spencer got the crowd, and the look of pure joy on his face was contagious. She realized she was smiling, watching her boyfriend lead 40,000 people in song, and vowed to herself to do whatever she could to not screw this up with Spencer.

When the song was over, Spencer waved to the crowd and pulled Kim next to him, letting everyone in the stadium see her with him. Feeling the moment, Spencer leaned over and kissed Kim to the cheers and applause of the fans. The kiss was soft and long, and by the end, Kim was putty in his arms.

"If you kiss me much more like that, I'm making sure you are no longer an eligible bachelor."

With the Sox well ahead of the Yankees, Spencer wanted to leave before the crowds, so he thanked his waitress, his escort, and Bob, who stopped by to watch the song.

Hand in hand, the couple headed for Spencer's car for the drive back to Kim's place. The drive was quiet, and when he pulled up in front of her home, he turned to Kim, ready to kiss her again. But before he could, she got out of the car and stepped towards her front door. Hurrying, Spencer caught up as she was opening the door.

"Want to come up for a nightcap?"

Not waiting for an answer, Kim grabbed his hand and pulled him along. Stepping into her condo, she kissed Spencer's cheek and told him to grab a seat and she'd be right back.

Moments later she was back, and quickly sat on Spencer's lap, straddling his legs. She was still wearing her Sox jersey - and nothing else.

"I know we talked about intimacy, and not getting too caught up in that. We also said that when it was the right time, we'd know. Spencer, it's the right time. I want you so much I can hardly stand it.

"Today was such a thrill for me - thank you. You never cease to amaze me with your kindness and your ability to surprise me. I've known for a while that I was falling for you, but when you kissed me in front of 40,000 people, that kinda sealed the deal.

"Spencer, stay the night with me, making love to me all night long. I want to feel you inside me; I want to feel your lips and mouth all over my body, kissing and taking anything you want. I want to wake up in the morning and make love to you again.

"I'm yours, Spencer Walker. Make me your woman."

Once they were done kissing, Kim unbuttoned the last button and let the jersey fall to the floor, giving Spencer a view of her naked body. Kissing her once again, he picked her up and carried her to her bedroom, kissing her all the way. Once inside the room, he sat her gently on her bed and stripped out of his own clothes.

Standing before her in his own nakedness, Spencer smiled at Kim as she smiled at him. She reached out, gently taking his full erection in her hands, and began to slowly caress him. Then, sliding to the edge of the bed, she pulled him close and slipped his dick into her mouth. Spencer groaned as she did this, bringing a smile to her lips.

Kim started slowly, licking him up and down his shaft and taking the head into her mouth. Spencer knew he wasn't going to last long, and he warned her.

"Good. Cum in my mouth, and then we can really get going. Cum for me, baby."

Hearing her urging, Spencer groaned once more and began to fill her mouth with his cum. Shot after shot filled her mouth, and Kim began to swallow as fast as she could. When he finally stopped, she took her time licking him clean.

Laying back on her bed, Kim smiled and slowly opened her legs in invitation. Not missing a beat, Spencer laid his head between her splayed thighs and began to lick the wetness from them. He licked up one side of her open lips and down the other before slipping his tongue into her opening, eliciting a long moan from Kim.

Emboldened, Spencer slipped two fingers into her pussy as he continued to tongue fuck her. Suddenly, Kim began to moan and shake as her first orgasm with her new lover swept over her. Not slowing down, Spencer quickly brought her to another, louder orgasm. When he began to suck her clit, Kim screamed his name and came once again, cumming so hard she squirted into Spencer's mouth.

Pushing his face away from her spasming pussy, Kim pulled him up and kissed his face, tasting herself on his lips.

"Oh my god, Spencer, I've never cum that hard ever. Now finish the job and put your dick inside my cunt and fuck me silly. Fill me with your cum, baby."

Kissing her once again, Spencer positioned himself between her open legs and slowly slid into her welcoming pussy. Inch by inch he pushed in, pulling out and pushing in further until his hips met hers.

"You feel so good inside me, Spence. I'm so full and you're so deep. God, this feels so good. Love me, baby. Love me..."

"You're so tight I'm not going to last long."

"I don't care. We're going to do this over and over, so cum when you need to. Yesss..."

Pumping in her faster, Spencer laid his head on her chest and began to suck her nipples. He moved from one to the other, all the while moving quickly in her pussy, bringing them both to the cusp of another orgasm.

Lifting her hips to meet his, Kim changed the angle of his penetration so now he was also rubbing against her clit, instantly enhancing her building climax. Quickly, she clamped her legs around his back as her pussy squeezed his dick, and together, their next orgasm swept over them.

Pulse after pulse filled her pussy as she milked his dick with her muscles. Spent, Spencer laid on top of Kim, putting his weight on his arms as her body continued to tremble. When he went soft, he rolled to his side and pulled Kim into a full body hug as their breathing began to return to normal. When he realized Kim was asleep, Spencer pulled the sheet up around them and fell asleep himself.

The next morning, Spencer woke with a start, not knowing where he was, until he realized he was in bed with a beautiful, naked woman, and last night's love making with her came back to him. He laid quietly, watching her sleep, the swell of her breasts rising and falling with her slow breathing. Her strawberry blonde hair was messy, strewn around her pillow, and when she moved, the sheet fell off her legs, revealing her nakedness to him once again. And again, he marveled at the beauty and sexiness of her body.

As he watched, Kim began to wake up. Opening her eyes and seeing Spencer, she smiled.

"What are you looking at?"

"I'm looking at you, the woman I just spent the night with."

"So, last night wasn't a dream? You did spend the night with me, loving me over and over. And I loved every second of it."

"Yes, that was me and not a dream. And I loved it as well."

"So, tell me, dream lover, are you going to stick around for breakfast or take off like someone who's scared to realize what they did?"

"Kim, I'm not going anywhere. And breakfast sounds good. Here, or do you want to go someplace?"

"I'm not going anywhere without taking a shower first. I've got all the fixings for an omlette breakfast - eggs, bread, bagels, bacon, and all sorts of stuff to add to the omlette.

"So, have you ever made breakfast with a naked woman before?"

After eating, the couple spent the next few hours making love in various rooms of the condo. Finishing in her bed, Kim laid on top of Spencer, his erection still pulsing inside her; their combined juices ran from her ravaged pussy onto Spencer and then onto her sheets. She lifted her head and kissed him once again, softly.

"Spencer, I've never spent a weekend like this. First yesterday, surprising me at the ballpark. Then last night here, and all day today. I've never had so many orgasms at once - how do you do it?"

"Just lucky, I guess. It helps that my partner is the sexiest person in the world, and someone I would happily give orgasms to any time she wants."

"Well, that's not going to happen for a little while. You've worn me out, and my pussy is sore. A very nice sore, but still, you're not getting anywhere near it for several days. However, I will let you shower with me so you can wash me all over."

Luckily for the couple, Kim's hot water heater was large, as they both took their time washing the other. Spencer finished up by washing Kim's hair, and by the time he was done, she was putty in his hands.

"Ok, you have the job. Every morning, I expect you to do me like you just did - no excuses, mister."

"Every morning? That might take some doing, but I promise to do it any time I'm here. Deal?"

"Deal."

*****

Soon it was September and the start of the NFL season. The Bears first two games were at home, so Kim was excited to watch Spencer in person while sitting with her parents.

The first game was against the Giants, and as the teams warmed up, Spencer heard a loud whistle and someone calling his name. Looking up, he saw Kim waving at him standing next to her parents. Then they all turned around, showing him the back side of their Bears jerseys, emblazoned with 'Walker'.

The game became a blowout, with the Bears winning 45-10. Spencer had 10 tackles, two quarterback sacks, one fumble recovery, and three tackles for loss. The team was clicking from the opening kickoff.

It's always difficult to find personal time during a season, but Kim and Spencer decided that Tuesday night was their personal time. They always went to The Sports Page, and this first Tuesday during the season, the place was hopping. Spencer got his usual table, and Kim soon met him there.

Ordering their usual wings and beer, they were quiet for a while until Kim brought up the question they both were thinking about.

"Spencer, how are you going to handle the next game against the Raiders? And Bobby. And what if she is there as well?"

"So far, I haven't given it much thought, but I know the guys are thinking about it. Floyd told me he wants to talk tomorrow before practice, so I'll probably find out what he's thinking."

"Being the other defensive captain, he probably knows what some of the guys are feeling. Just be careful, Spence. I want to keep you around for a long time."

The next day, Floyd Little, the outstanding edge rusher of the Bears, pulled Spencer to the side after their morning meeting.

"Spence, we all know what happened to you, and we want to do something to make it right. Leon had a great idea, and I want to run it by you first.

"Remember the movie "The Replacements", and what they did to start the second half of the last game?"

"Yeah, wasn't it 'kick ass'? And the entire team kicked the other team's collective ass?"

"Yep, that's it. But we want to do that only with Bobby. Any where he lines up, we'll be right on him, taking him to the ground if possible. Any time he touches the ball, a total gang tackle. We want to knock him down all game so Sunday night he is sore and Monday morning he can't move. But everything will be total legal."

Spencer thought about it and then smiled.

"As long as everything is legal, I'm all for it."

Sunday afternoon was beautiful in Chicago. A cloudless sky, a slight breeze coming off the lake, and 60,000 fans crowding Soldier Field, all hoping for a continuance from last week.

Kim had called Spencer early that morning to wish him good luck, and to make sure he didn't do anything rash and reckless with Bobby Wells.

"I know how you feel about him, but please don't do anything stupid, Spencer. I care about you too much to see that."

"Don't worry, sweetie. Only the usual stupid from me today. Talk to you after the game, ok?"

During warmups, Spencer once again saw Kim and her parents in the stands, but only gave her a small wave. Despite everything, he was still nervous about facing his former roommate and ex-best friend on the field. To be sure, he was once again furious about what had happened, as he recalled the memories of that day.

Suddenly, someone was calling his name. Turning around, he saw Bobby Wells walking toward him, a haughty look on his face.

"Spencer, how are you doing, man. Long time, no see."

"A long time indeed, Bobby. What do you want?"

"To bury the hatchet. Look, I'm sorry about what happened, but that was over three years ago. Can't we put it behind us?"

Spencer was incredulous.

"Put it behind us? Are you kidding? You stole my fiancée, leaving me standing at the altar; you ruined my life, and now you want me to put it behind us? Are you fucking kidding me? Get lost, Wells. I've got nothing to say to you."

Losing his haughty look, Bobby turned away, but not before tossing one last jab at Spencer.

"Too bad for you BethAnn chose the better man with the bigger dick and a bigger paycheck. See you on the field, asshole."

To say it was a massacre would be an understatement. Several of Spencer's teammates heard his exchange with Bobby, and soon the entire sideline was seething in rage. The Raiders were on offense first, so Spencer gathered his defensive team together for one last pep talk.

"You all know what's going on, so I won't beat a dead horse. Leon's idea of 'kick ass' is a go. But remember - keep everything legal. No unwarranted penalties, nothing stupid. Just clean, hard hitting Bears football. Understand?"

The first play set the tone for the rest of the game. Bobby Wells was in the slot, and Leon Smith was in coverage. At the snap, Bobby took a step towards Leon, who promptly knocked him to the ground, taking Bobby out of the play. Second down was much the same, as Bobby took a handoff for an end around. Unfortunately for him, Floyd Little was waiting for him, and drilled him for a ten-yard loss. Third down, Bobby was split wide right, and as he made his cut downfield, he was knocked to his ass by the free safety.

By this time, the crowd was getting into it, and the stadium rocked. By halftime, the Bears were ahead 35-0, and Bobby had three catches for two yards total, along with four drops.

As the teams left the field at halftime, Spencer snuck a look into the stands to find Kim - and she was looking at him with a smile that filled her face.

The second half went much like the first, and by the end of the game, the Bears were ahead 52-3. Several of the defensive hits were shown on SportsCenter that night, and the team was positive they got some measure of revenge for Spencer.

Several weeks later, Spencer was sitting at The Sports Page with Floyd and his wife Amy. Kim had called saying she had a late meeting with her team, getting ready for a new client, and probably wouldn't make it.

"So, no Kim tonight?"

"No, she's got a late meeting. But that's ok, since I wanted to ask you both a question. Well, mostly Amy.

"Kim told me she's having a difficult time getting to know some of the wives and girlfriends of the team. I know you and she get along really well, and I'm happy for that. But I'm wondering why she is having such a hard time with so many others. Any ideas?"

"In fact, I do. Two, actually. Spence, Kim is an awesome person. She's smart, beautiful, funny - all the things someone would want in a friend. But she's also intimidating to some of the girls because of those same traits. Now, I'm not saying she needs to change, because then she wouldn't be Kim. But one thing that might help is if she started to sit with all of us during the games. I know she sits with her family with their season tickets, but perhaps she should sit with us. Also, I think she just needs to meet more of the girls on a more social basis; you know, get to know them more one to one.

"Here's a thought. I'm going to throw a 'girls only' party next Saturday afternoon. Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, wine, cheese and crackers - 'girly' stuff, and give her a chance to talk to the other girls without any pressure of fans watching how we all act. Do you think she'd go for that?"

"Yeah, I'm sure she will. Do you want me to tell her, or will you call her?"

"I'll give her a call later tonight and set it all up. And I promise to keep your name out of it."

Saturday night came, and Spencer was curious how the party went. The team was sequestered at their hotel, so he waited for Kim to call him after their meetings. About 8:00, his phone rang.

"Hiya, sweetie. How was the party?"

"Spence, it was great. Amy did a number on me, introducing me to so many of the other girls. Some I knew, but so many I didn't. And I feel so much better about things now.

"Spence, these women are amazing. Several are doctors, and not just family doctors. Some are surgeons, some are into research; several others are lawyers, some are teachers and college professors; some are stay at home moms and several are in school. And I felt like I finally belonged. Thank you for letting Amy know how I felt. I didn't know how to approach her."

"I'm so happy to hear that, Kim. If anyone could pull that off, it's you and Amy. See you at the game tomorrow."

"Yes you will, but I'll be sitting with Amy and the others. I called my mom and told her to give my ticket away. Goodnight, Spencer."

"Goodnight, Kim. Sleep well."

And so went the rest of the season. By the final game, the Bears had clinched a playoff spot, but with a win they'd be Division Champions, with an additional week off and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. And as luck would have it, they'd be playing their oldest rivals, the Packers.

Sunday was a typical winter day in Chicago - sunny, but cold, with a cold wind blowing off the lake. Nonetheless, Soldier Field was packed with 60,000 fans, all hoping for a win over their rivals.

Kim was once again sitting with the other wives and girlfriends, wearing her 'Walker' jersey outside of her heavy parka. Everyone was dressed as warmly as they could; at the same time, many of the players only wore short sleeves under their pads and jerseys.

"I still don't understand how they don't wear long sleeves when it's this cold. Don't they get frostbite on their arms?"

"Not usually, but I think it's more of a mind game, showing the other team they really don't care how cold it is."

"Well good for them, because I'm already starting to get cold, and it's only the first quarter."

The game was a typical Bears-Packers game - lots of hard hitting, lots of good defense, and not much offense. By halftime, the Bears were holding onto a 14-3 lead, and Spencer was leading a spirited defense.

The Bears ran the second half kickoff back for a touchdown, and that got the stadium rocking. After a Packers three-and-out, the Bears drove down the field for another score. Now leading 28-3, everything was looking great for the Bears.

Until it wasn't.

Part way through the 3rd quarter, Spencer intercepted a pass and was running it back, nearing the endzone. Just as he appeared to score, one of the Packers dove at his legs for a tackle. But instead, his helmet hit Spencer's knee straight on, bending it inward. Falling into the endzone, Spencer screamed in pain, but held onto the ball. For a moment, the stadium rocked, cheering for the touchdown, but seeing Spencer on the turf, holding his knee, everything fell quiet.

As the training staff ran onto the field, Kim gasped, and grabbed onto Amy for support. At the same time, Floyd knelt next to Spencer and held his hand. Looking up, Spencer tried to smile, but he was in too much pain.

"Floyd, please give the ball to Kim. And tell her I love her, ok?"

"Will do, Spence. And don't worry - she loves you right back."

Soon, the trainers loaded Spencer onto a cart to take him back to the dressing room for a further examination. Everyone in the stadium rose to their feet and applauded for him, not knowing if the heart of the Bears defense would take the field again that season.

Seeing the cart disappear into the bowels of the stadium, Kim was silent as tears ran down her face. The other ladies gathered near her, with hugs and hand squeezes to let her know they all had her back.

Pulling her away, Amy began to lead Kim to the dressing room to check on Spencer. When they got there, the security guard told them he already left in an ambulance, heading for Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

As they headed to the hospital, Kim was a crying mess, and thanked Amy for driving her there.

"Hey, we're all family here, and we all hurt when something like this happens. You just need to keep thinking positive thoughts; I'm sure Spence will be alright."

When they arrived, the two women headed to the Emergency Department, where they were stopped by a nurse.

"Sorry, ladies, only family is allowed back."

"But I'm Spencer's fiancée. Doesn't that count?"

"Ok, that should be fine. But only you. Your friend needs to stay out here."

"Kim, go. I'll be fine out here. I'll wait to hear from you, Ms. Fiancée."

Smiling at her friend, Kim followed the nurse back to the exam room where Spencer lay. There was a nurse with him, and he was hooked up to several machines and an IV. When Kim entered, the nurse stopped her.

"I'm sorry - family only."

"I'm his fiancée - the other nurse said it would be ok."

"Alright - I'll give you a few minutes alone. But be warned - he's on some pretty stiff pain medicine and might start to act... incoherent."

As the nurse left, Spencer opened his eyes and smiled.

"Fiancée? Did I miss something?"

"It was the only way I could get back to see you. Family only.

"How are you feeling, Spencer?"

"Not sure. My knee hurt like hell before, but I think they've got me on some really good painkillers, so I'm not feeling much of anything. They already took x-rays and called their top orthopedic surgeon. Ironically, she was at the game and saw it happen, and she's on her way here.

"I need to call my mom. She's probably booking her flight here, if I know her."

As they talked, Kim could see Spencer's body language change, as the pain meds took effect.

"Spencer, there's no way you're talking to your mom right now. How about I give her a call?"

"You'd do that for me? What a wonderful girlfriend you are."

"Ok, Spence. Just close your eyes and go back to sleep while I call your folks."

Grabbing his phone from the nightstand, Kim scrolled until she found the contact for 'mom'. It rang through and was quickly answered.

"Spencer, how are you? What happened? Do you need me and dad to come there?"

"Mrs. Walker, it's not Spencer. It's his girlfriend Kim. Spencer is fine - just a bit loopy from the pain meds they gave him... yeah, loopier than usual... the ER doctor doesn't think there's any serious damage to his knee... the orthopedic doctor is on her way in... yeah, she was at the game and is stuck in traffic... yes, he's going to stay the night in the hospital and get re-evaluated in the morning... no, don't come just yet... I promise to call you in the morning after I talk to the doctor... yep, I'll give him your love, and an extra hug and kiss before I go... yes, good talking to you as well... goodnight."

Sometime later, Spencer was transferred to a regular room for the night. The orthopedic doctor examined his leg and said there was still too much swelling to really do anything, and that she'd be back in the morning. But she also said she didn't think there was any serious damage, but would know more tomorrow.

After getting Spencer settled into his room, the nurses let Kim in once again to say goodnight.

"Hey, I'm getting kicked out for the night, so I'll see you in the morning. Rest up and be good for the nurses."

"Ok. But don't you have work in the morning?"

"Not now. The other partners were watching the game and called me, telling me not to worry about coming in and to take care of you. I think they're more worried about you and the season than they are about me."

"Perhaps. But I'm more worried about you. You'll be ok getting home?"

"Yeah. Amy told me to call her, but I'll just Uber home. It's so late, I don't want to bother her. And I'll see you in the morning, sweetie. Goodnight."

The next morning, Kim got a ride to Soldier Field, where she picked up Spencer's SUV and drove it to the hospital. As she got to the room, she was stopped by one of the nurses.

"Hi. I need you to stay out here for a minute. The doctor is in with Mr. Walker right now. Once she's done with her exam, I'll let you know."

Twenty minutes later, Kim was ushered into Spencer's room, where he was surrounded by several nurses and doctors, as well as the head trainer for the Bears. Everyone was smiling, so Kim was hoping to hear some good news.

"Ms. Wells, thanks for joining us. The MRI this morning showed no structural damage to Spencer's knee. The area is sore and bruised, but that's all. We were just talking about his recovery time and how it's going to work."

Before the doctor went on, she dismissed everyone else so she could be alone with Spencer and Kim.

"Ok, so here's the thing. Spencer needs to stay off his leg, putting no pressure on the knee, for the next two days. We'll give him crutches to use, but no using the leg at all. Try to use it a little on Thursday, and then I want to see him in my office on Friday. And we'll go from there.

"Spencer, will you be able to take care of things alone, or do we need to get a nurse in to help you?"

Kim quickly spoke up.

"That won't be necessary. I can be there to help Spencer with whatever he needs."

"Wonderful. I'll have my office call you to set up Friday's appointment. And I'll leave you to it. Take care, Spencer."

Waiting for the doctor to leave, Spencer sat up in bed, looked at Kim, and spoke to her in a voice she'd never heard from him, as if he were dismissing her and her offer for help.

"What do you mean, you can help. You've got a job and a career to deal with. Besides, I don't need your help. With the crutches, I'll be able to get around and do whatever I need to do. So once I get my crutches, I'll get a ride home and rest up. Thanks for your support, Kim, but I don't need your help; I can take care of myself."

Looking at Spencer, rage built up inside Kim.

"How dare you talk to me like that, dismissing me like I'm a nobody? How in the hell can you take care of yourself? You have no way home; you can't put any pressure on your leg for two days, so how are you going to eat, take a shower, or take a piss? I'm doing this because I love you, and I thought you loved me as well. But perhaps I'm mistaken.

"This is not the Spencer Walker I fell in love with. Now you sound like the typical macho, alpha male who has no use for women. The Spencer I fell in love with is kind and compassionate and would never speak to anyone, especially his girlfriend, like you just did. If this is the real you, you've done a great job hiding it from me all these months.

"So I'm out of here, Spencer. I don't need this crap from you. If I want this shit, I'll talk to Bobby. Goodbye!"

Stunned by the viciousness in her voice, Spencer was quiet for a moment, until he realized she was walking out of his life.

"Kim, wait. Please, don't go. Talk to me, please."

Hearing his plea, Kim stopped, with her hand on the door handle. She didn't turn around, but quietly - and coldly -- said,

"Why should I?"

"Because I love you. I want your help. I need your help. Please, just talk to me."

Turning back to him, Kim slowly crossed the room to his bed. Seeing the anguished look on his face, she decided to hear him out.

"I'm sorry, Kim. For a long time, I've been the only person I could count on. I'm still the Spencer you fell in love with."

"But there's something more, something else, isn't there? Spencer, talk to me. Tell me what it is. What's going on for you to turn on me like that?"

Spencer looked at Kim for a long time before continuing. Reaching out, he took her hands in his and pulled her close.

"I'm scared, Kim. I'm scared by all of this - you and me and what we're becoming."

"Scared? Why?"

"Because the last time I felt like this, loving someone with all my heart, I was left standing at the altar as the person I loved ran off with someone else. Two people who I trusted and loved betrayed me, and I'm afraid it might happen again.

"I know you're not BethAnn and our circumstances are different, but the feeling is still there. I've discussed this with my therapist several times, but when it came down to trusting you, absolutely trusting you, that old fear came back.

"I do love you, Kim, and the thought of you calling me your fiancée brought joy to my heart. I know you said it to get back to see me, but it's something I've thought long and hard about. In fact, I've already planned how I'm going to ask you."

With tears welling in her eyes, Kim hugged Spencer.

"So, what are your plans?"

"I know it's cliché and cheesy, but I planned to do it on Valentines' Day. I've got the ring and the restaurant reservations and the flowers all ordered. And I'll understand if you want to walk away, especially after how I acted just now. But believe me when I say I love you, because I do. You are the most remarkable woman I know, and you bring such joy into my life. So please don't walk away from me. Please help me with my leg and my recovery. Please forgive me. Please stay."

Kim lifted her head and kissed Spencer.

"But if you ever talk to me like that again, I'll have Floyd and Amy help me dump your body in Lake Michigan."

After practicing with his crutches, Spencer was discharged from the hospital later that day. Several news reporters were waiting at the main hospital entrance, and he was compelled to answer several questions before Kim and hospital security hustled him away.

The next two days passed quickly, with Kim helping Spencer with whatever he needed. Thursday morning, he was finally able to put some weight on his leg, and he found it didn't hurt as much as he thought it would. Friday morning, Kim drove him to the doctor's office for his checkup, both hoping to hear good news. After poking and prodding his leg, the doctor told him he could ditch the crutches, but to take it slow on his leg.

"Will I be able to play next Sunday?"

"If you keep progressing like you are, then yes. I'll call the head trainer and discuss this with him as well. Just take it easy - no hard running until Wednesday at the earliest. And no full contact practice at all - save it for the game."

The plan for the week was simple. Spencer would be at all the practices, but just for the meetings and nothing on the field. He would start jogging on Wednesday, and be running by Saturday. He would be starting the game, but only playing every other series. Spencer wasn't happy about that, but he trusted the coach and the training staff.

In the end, it didn't make much difference. Because the Bears had the best record in the conference, they received a bye for the first week of playoffs. The second week, they hosted the Cowboys, and by the time Spencer was taken out for good, the Bears were comfortably ahead, winning the game 42-14. In the conference championship the next week, they handily beat the Eagles by 35 points, leading them into the Super Bowl, which was going to be played at the Super Dome in New Orleans. And their opponent - the Las Vegas Raiders, and Bobby Wells.

All of Chicagoland was amped up for the game, including Kim's partners at her law firm. All were huge fans, and they made sure to give Kim as much time off as she needed to help take care of Spencer. They had also rented a skybox for the game, inviting some of their biggest clients, as well as Kim's parents and Spencer's parents. Kim would sit with the other wives and girlfriends in the stands. The only thing she worried about was how Spencer would react to seeing his former best friend on the field again.

The team would be secluded on Saturday, so after their Friday practice, Spencer and Kim had dinner with both sets of parents, and after, went up to her room for some alone time. They sat quietly on the couch, an unwatched movie playing on the tv.

"How's your knee feeling? Still a bit touchy?"

"Yeah, a little, but not bad. The trainers got me some new padding to wear, so it'll be fine. I'm more worried about you."

"Me? Why?"

"Because I know you'll be holding your breath every time I get near a tackle. Every time I'm in coverage you'll cover your eyes until the play is over. I know you, sweetie. You act tough when you have to, but inside you're not as tough as you seem.

"And I love you for it."

Kim cuddled closer to Spencer, putting her head on his chest, listening to the beating of his heart.

"You're probably right, I'm not as tough as I put forth. But that's only for you to know. I do get anxious when you're on the field, and I do hold my breath when you're in the middle of a play. But I also love you, and no matter what, I will always love you.

"And as anxious as I am about the game, I can't wait for it to be over, because then you belong to me exclusively. And I intend to take full advantage of that. And of you."

And then it was game day. During warmups, the teams mostly kept to their own sides. Spencer kept an eye on Bobby Wells, and saw he had a hunted look in his eyes, no doubt thinking back to their earlier game when the Bears defense beat him up.

Huddling on the sideline with his teammates, Spencer talked about how hard they all had worked to get to this point, and to do nothing to screw it up.

"That includes taking on Bobby Wells. I watched him earlier, and he thinks we're going to do him like the first game. So, let's let him think that, and just play our regular game with him. The more he thinks about it, the more he's going to screw up."

The game was close through the first quarter, with the Bears leading 10-7. Both teams played tight, but in the second quarter, the Bears began to take control. A long 91-yard drive ended with a touchdown, giving them some breathing room. They held the Raiders to a three and out on their next drive, and the Bears ran the ensuing punt back for another touchdown. They tacked on a late field goal to head into halftime ahead 27-7, leaving all the Bears fans with a good feeling.

The second half began with the Raiders driving the length of the field, only for the Bears defense to stop them short - and they settled for a field goal. The rest of the quarter both defenses stepped up their pressure, and neither offense could get anything going.

At the start of the fourth quarter, Spencer called his defense over.

"Ok, we've held them, but I want to put this game away, on our terms. It's time for a little 'kick ass' on Bobby Wells. He's been killing us, and it's time to stop."

At the first snap of the fourth quarter, Leon Smith covered Bobby, and he never got off the line of scrimmage. Second down was much the same, but on third down, Bobby got loose across the middle and caught a slant pass in stride. As he turned up field, Spencer was there and hit Bobby square in the midsection, knocking him to the ground. His helmet flew off as he hit the turf, and the ball popped straight up and fell into Spencer's hands. Turning up field, Spencer saw he had a convoy of blockers leading him into the endzone. Someone made a desperate attempt to tackle him, hitting Spencer just above his knee and sending him sprawling into the endzone for a touchdown. He laid on the ground for a few seconds, and Kim just held her breath waiting to see if he was hurt. But Floyd and Leon helped him up, and he jogged to the sideline, holding the football.

Jogging past the bench, Spencer headed towards Kim and the others, and held the ball out to her. Grabbing it, she blew him a kiss and began celebrating with Amy, while Spencer headed for the bench. As he sat down, the head coach came over to congratulate him on his pick six.

"Nice hit on Bobby, Spencer. And nice interception. And now you can take your helmet off, because you're done for the game. I don't want you to take any chances with your knee. Great game."

Soon, the game was over, with the Bears winning 41-10. Spencer was named the MVP of the game, and celebrated on the field with his teammates and, eventually, Kim. Then it was time to clean up and head to the post-game press conference.

After answering questions for 15 minutes, Spencer took his leave.

"If you will all excuse me, I've got a date with some ice bags."

Kim met him at her room at the hotel, where they ordered room service, along with several ice packs. He iced his knee while waiting for their food, and together they watched the highlights of the game on ESPN. Each time they showed his interception, Kim cheered and Spencer smiled.

When they were finished eating, Spencer iced his knee for a while longer as Kim got ready for bed. They had decided to not spend nights together during the playoff run, but now that the season was over, together they would stay.

As he cleaned up the mess from ice packs, Kim exited the bathroom. She stood silently in the doorway waiting for Spencer to notice. When he looked up, he saw her standing there in a floor-length, sheer white gown. Her hair curled around her shoulders and fell almost to her breasts, which were straining against the sheer fabric.

Smiling, she slowly walked across the room to where Spencer was standing, staring him in the eye.

"Like what you see, buddy?"

"Very much. In fact, I'd like to see more. Much more."

"Well, if you play your cards right, that just might happen. In fact, I do believe this might be your lucky night... in more ways than one."

Laughing, they fell into each other's arms, holding tight.

"My god, I love you, Spencer. I can't wait to be your wife."

"That's a bit presumptuous, seeing as I haven't actually asked you yet."

"True, but the nurses and doctors at the hospital think you did, so isn't that just as good?"

"As long as it lets me get naked with you in bed, ravaging your body, then yes it is."

Laughing once again, Spencer picked Kim up and threw her over his shoulder, carrying her to the bedroom. Once there, he gently laid her on the bed, and as she watched, stripped off his clothes before lying next to her.

Wordlessly, Spencer reached up and untied the bow holding the top of her nightgown together. Pulling the fabric aside, he began to lightly kiss her breasts and suck on her nipples, eliciting a series of gasps from Kim. He knew how sensitive her nipples were, and wanted to give her an orgasm by simply playing with her nipples.

Moments later Spencer was rewarded as Kim began to thrash beneath him, cumming for the first time that night. As her orgasm began to wane, he began to suck her nipples once again, and he soon ignited another orgasm.

Pushing his head away, Kim sat up and pulled her nightgown off, baring her body for her lover. Opening her legs, she urged him to move lower, and he began to kiss his way down her body.

"Lick me, Spencer. Eat me out. Fuck me with your tongue and fingers before you fuck me with your dick. Make me cum, baby."

Doing as she asked, Spencer settled between her splayed thighs and began to kiss and lick the wetness dripping from her pussy. He kissed up one side and down the other, purposely teasing her, but also driving her wild.

After hearing her moans and pleas to make her cum, he slipped his tongue into her wet pussy and began to tongue fuck her. At the same time, he slipped two fingers into her, bringing her to an almost instant orgasm.

Knowing she wanted more, he kept his fingers where they were, and moved his mouth to her clit, where he began to lash it with his tongue and suck it into his mouth. Overwhelmed, Kim began to scream his name as her body arched off the bed, driving her pussy deeper into his face.

Unable to take much more, Kim pushed Spencer off and pulled his face to hers, kissing his wet lips and tasting herself on his mouth. Small shocks still travelled through her body, and Spencer held her tight as she trembled with her continuing orgasms.

Finally spent, Kim lay quietly in Spencer's arms, enjoying the feel of his arms holding her close. Hearing her breathing slow, he knew she had fallen asleep, and he pulled the sheet up over them.

Sometime during the night, Spencer woke up to the feeling of something warm and wet enveloping his erection. He lay quietly, enjoying the feeling, until his face was suddenly enveloped by a pair of wet thighs and a dripping pussy. Not fully awake, his instincts took over, and soon his tongue was busy lapping up Kim's nectar as it dripped from her pussy.

Suddenly, she lifted her face from his dick and moaned 'I'm cumming', and quickly began to suck him once again. Moments later Spencer moaned the same thing and filled Kim's mouth with several shots of semen, which she swallowed.

Disengaging, the couple cuddled together once again. But before she fell back asleep, Kim kissed Spencer and whispered in his ear.

"Sleep well, because in the morning you're going to ravage me once again, and this time I want your dick in my cunt, fucking me silly."

Spencer woke first and lay in bed watching his sleeping girlfriend. Her strawberry blonde hair lay in disarray around her head; the sheet had fallen off her body, and he watched her breasts rise and fall with her breathing; letting his gaze move down her body, her taut stomach led his eyes lower to her hips, where her short 'landing strip' guarded her most private of parts, still damp from their lovemaking.

He resisted touching her, as he simply wanted to watch her sleep, but soon her eyes opened to see him staring at her. Smiling, she turned on her side to face him.

"A penny for your thoughts."

"Just marveling at the beauty laying before me, and wondering how I was so lucky to have her fall in love with this dumb jock."

"Spencer, you're not a dumb jock. In fact, you're one of the smartest people I know. Don't forget, you graduated with a degree in Communications, with a minor in Sports Administration and another minor in Sports Therapy. Most football players don't even graduate, let alone graduate with two minors. Combined with your personality, it was very easy to fall in love with you.

"Now, are you going to stare at me all morning, or are you going to wake me the proper way, by making love to me?"

"I would love to stare at you some more, but I get the impression you want something else."

An hour later, after both had orgasmed several times, Spencer pulled out of Kim and lay beside his lover. Both were panting and sweating, but neither cared.

"I can't believe how you coax so many orgasms from me, Spence. What's your secret?"

"It's easy when I'm making love to the woman I love."

*****

After taking a long shower together where Spencer pushed Kim against the wall and entered her from behind, bringing her to another screaming orgasm, the couple got dressed and headed down to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. As they ate, they discussed their plan for the day.

"One thing I'd like to see is the World War II Museum. I've heard it's magnificent."

"Maybe after that we can head to Bourbon Street and the area around Jackson Square."

"Alright - it sounds like we have a plan for the day. Let's go."

After a long day of sightseeing, the couple were tired, but a shower, along with a quick shower fuck, revitalized them. Spencer made plans for dinner at a French restaurant, so they both dressed up for the occasion.

The restaurant was in walking distance, so they strolled there, hand in hand. As they made their way, Kim realized that this was the happiest she'd ever been, and Spencer felt the same.

Arriving at the restaurant, they were seated quickly at a romantic, out-of-the-way table, which suited Spencer for what he had planned. When their waiter greeted them, he exchanged a glance with Spencer that Kim missed, and both men smiled.

Dinner was wonderful, and they both experimented with several dishes they'd never tried. The waiter was efficient, filling their wine glasses whenever needed, removing plates once they were empty, and suggested several items for dessert. When they were finished eating and the table was cleared, Spencer took Kim's hands in his.

"Kim, this past year has been the best year of my life. Not just with my career, but in my personal life. Meeting you, especially the way we met, opened my eyes to a lot of things. Getting to know you, the real you, has been a challenge, but one I reveled in. You're smart, kind, loving, and beautiful - the kind of woman any man would love. And all that being said, there is something important I need to discuss with you, and I hope you understand where I'm coming from."

Suddenly, a panicked feeling flashed through Kim.

'He's breaking up with me. I can't believe it. With all we've been through and all we mean to each other, he's breaking up with me. Bastard. But I vowed to never let a man end things with me. If we're over, then I'm doing the dumping. Not him.'

Before Spencer could continue, Kim interrupted him.

"Stop! I can't believe this. After all we've meant to each other, and how much we love each other, you're breaking up with me? I see what you've done. Treating me nice just to get into my panties. Making me feel special. Making me feel like we had something real. But it was all a sham, wasn't it? All of this, just to get a good fuck out of me. So, take your canned speech of how special I am and stick it in your ass. I hate you. Get out of my life, Spencer. And stay out!"

By the end of her tirade, Kim was standing at their table, screaming at Spencer, and every eye in the restaurant was focused on the couple. Spencer took a deep breath and stood himself before continuing.

"I don't know what you're talking about, or what you got into your head, but I was about to propose to you, Kim. But I can see now you really don't know me or love me or even care for me. Which of the girls have you been talking to? Or which women's magazine have you been reading? Probably the ones that say all men are shitheads and can't be trusted. But whatever it was, you've screwed up, Kim. This is just another game to you, isn't it? Another game played by the Wells family, intended to fuck with Spencer Walker. I loved you, but not anymore. Not when you act like this. Goodbye, Kim. I hope you enjoy your life of being alone."

Throwing his napkin on the table, Spencer stalked away and out the door. Realizing what she had done, Kim ran after him, only to run into her parents and Spencer's parents.

"What are you doing here?"

"Spencer invited us to come here for your surprise. What's happened? Kim, what did you do?"

Running past the parents, Kim rushed out the door, frantically looking for Spencer.

"Spencer! Wait! I need to talk to you. Spencer, please don't go. I love you. Spencer. Come back, please. Spencer! No - don't leave me!

*****

Suddenly, Kim was in bed, sitting up, yelling for Spencer. She looked at his side of the bed, but it was empty and cold. As she realized what she had done, she began to sob.

Just then, the bedroom door opened and there stood Spencer, a bath towel around his waist. As he entered the room, Kim jumped into his arms, her tears flowing down her face.

"Spencer, I'm so sorry, I'm so, so sorry. Can you ever forgive me?"

Before he could answer, she broke down crying again, his arms holding her tight.

"Sweetheart, what are you talking about? What are you sorry for?"

Letting her cry it out, Spencer held Kim close, not knowing what was going on. When she was finally cried out, he wiped her eyes with the corner of his towel and sat with her on their bed.

"Kim, will you please tell me what's going on?"

"Are you really still here? I'm not imagining this, am I?"

"Yes, I'm still here. Where else would I be?"

"Oh, Spencer. I'm sorry. I just had the most horrible dream. You'd taken me to a beautiful restaurant with the best food I'd ever eaten. And after supper you started to talk to me, and I thought you were breaking up with me, so I dumped you first. Then you said you were about to propose to me - and left. I tried to run after you, but our parents were all there for the surprise. And I thought I'd lost you.

"Spencer, I love you so much. Don't ever leave me, please. I don't think I could handle it."

"Sweetie, that was all just a bad dream. I'm not going anywhere, and if I do, I'm bringing you with me. Ok?"

"Ok."

"So, dry your tears and hit the shower so we can get some breakfast - we have a 10:00 reservation. After last night's love fest, I worked up an appetite."

*****

Kim was quiet as they walked hand in hand to the restaurant, running her dream over and over in her head, trying to figure out why that scenario popped into her subconscious when it did. She loved Spencer, and she was sure he loved her as well. Was it simply her dislike of former boyfriends breaking up with her, especially when she had no clue? Holding Spencer's hand tighter, she decided that had to be it.

Arriving at the restaurant, Spencer gave his name to the hostess, who promptly seated them. This wasn't a fancy restaurant, but one that the hotel concierge recommended for having delicious breakfasts.

Their waitress soon came by, and instantly recognized Spencer.

"Mr. Walker! That was a great game you played the other day. That hit on Bobby Wells was textbook, plus you got a pick six out of it. I know this is highly unprofessional of me, but could I get your autograph for my dad? He grew up in Chicago and is a huge Bears fan."

"Thanks. And the autograph will be between us. What's your dad's name? I'll sign something and slip it to you later."

Taking their drink orders, the waitress hurried away, sporting a huge smile.

"You do realize you just made that young woman's day, don't you? And we'll probably get the best service ever."

"I realize that. I know what it's like to be a public figure, and I also remember how I felt in that same situation growing up. Too many times I was rebuffed, often harshly. And I remember how I felt afterwards. I try hard to not act that way. I know some of my teammates seldom, if ever, sign autographs, but I try to do it as often as I can."

The waitress quickly brought their drinks and took their meal orders. As they ate, several patrons stopped by to congratulate Spencer on his Super Bowl win, and he signed several autographs as well.

When they were finishing up, Spencer called the waitress over.

"If you get your phone, I'll have my girlfriend take our picture - something special for your dad. But be sure your boss is ok with it."

Several minutes later, the manager, along with the waitress, stepped up to the table.

"Mr. Walker, it's an honor to have you eating with us today. And I have no problem with the picture. Also, can I get one for me and my sons? They'd never believe me otherwise."

Once they were alone again, Spencer reached for Kim's hands, holding them across the table.

"Kim, this past year has been interesting, to say the least. From our first meeting when I saved you from the bar creep to now, my feelings for you have grown stronger every day. I relish the days we're together, and when we're not, I look forward to when we will be together. I can't imagine what my life would be without you, and I don't want to try. So, Kimberly Rose Wells, will you marry me?"

Reaching into his pocket, Spencer pulled out a small box and opened it. Inside was a ring, set with an emerald stone with small diamonds surrounding it. Seeing the ring, Kim gasped and then began to cry. She then took the ring and slipped it onto her finger, without saying a word.

"Does that mean yes?"

"Yes! Yes, I will marry you, Spencer. I love you!"

As the entire restaurant watched, Kim stood and kissed Spencer across the table. As the patrons erupted in applause, Kim realized what she did, and was embarrassed by her actions.

"Don't worry, sweetie. I doubt the manager's going to toss us out of here. Besides, we still have to toast our engagement."

Turning to the manager, Spencer smiled.

"John, do you think you have enough champagne for everyone here? A toast for my fiancée."

While this was all happening, unbeknownst to Kim, two older couples were standing off to the side, phones in hand, making a video of the proposal. When she finally noticed, Kim ran over to her parents and Spencer's parents.

"What are you all doing here? I thought you all left for home after the game?"

"That was our original plan, but Spencer asked us if we could stay for a few extra days. He didn't say why, but we all had a good idea.

"Congratulations, sweetie. You and Spencer make a wonderful couple."

*****

Several weeks later, the couple was back in Chicago, getting on with their lives. Kim was busy at work, catching up on what she had put aside during Spencer's recovery and playoff run. Spencer was meeting with the team's trainers several times a week, making sure his knee was recovering properly.

At the same time, Kim, her mother, and Spencer's mother were busy planning their wedding. They both wanted to marry before the season started, so they decided on an early July wedding. Neither wanted anything huge, but just family seemed too small, so they compromised on something with close friends and family. Spencer wanted to invite his teammates and Kim had people from her law firm to invite as well.

Kim had always wanted a church wedding, and the family church would be just large enough for their plans. The reception would be at one of the large hotels nearby. And because of the short time frame for planning, they decided to hire a wedding planner to help the moms get things set up. As well, with training camps scheduled to open the end of July, they would only be taking a 10-day honeymoon to the Cayman Islands, with an eye to a longer one after the season.

Once Kim was finally caught up with her work, she and Spencer decided to hit The Sports Page once again for their Tuesday wings and beer special. It had been a while since they'd been there, and the owners and waitstaff were happy to see them once again.

Part way though their night, Spencer's phone buzzed with an incoming call. No picture showed up, but the contact said 'CBS'. Spencer looked at the phone, but didn't answer.

"Spencer, aren't you going to answer? Isn't that Channel 2?"

"Nope. In fact, it's someone I hoped to not talk to again. Kim, BethAnn's calling me."

"BethAnn? You still have her in your contact list?"

"Yeah, after the shit hit the fan, I just changed her contact. I deleted her picture and changed the name to 'CBS' - cheating bitch slut."

Bursting out in laughter, Kim could not contain herself.

"Do you still have Bobby in your list? What's he listed as?"

"CMW - cheating man whore."

"Oh my god, I love it. I might have to do the same."

Just then, his phone again buzzed several times, each one an incoming text message. Looking at his phone, Spencer's face took on an ominous appearance.

"Spence, what is it? Who's texting you?"

Holding up his phone, Kim read the messages.

'I'm sorry'

'Can we talk?'

'Please, Spencer?'

'Look behind you.'

Together, the couple looked back, only to see BethAnn standing there, phone in hand. She looked as if she'd been crying, and had a pleading look on her face.

"Shit. She's the last person I want to talk to."

"Maybe you should. You might finally get some closure and find out once and for all the question you've been asking yourself for four years.

"Why?"

Spencer was quiet for a few minutes before answering Kim.

"You're right, but still, I'm not certain I want to open that can of worms up again. I'm happier than I've ever been, and that's because of you, Kim. You helped me when I didn't even know I needed help. I thought I'd put BethAnn behind me, and now, here she is. I really don't want to do this.

"And then there's you. I certainly don't want to do anything to hurt you or screw up what we have."

Moving next to him, Kim gave Spencer a long, soft kiss.

"You have nothing to worry about with me, Spencer. I'll be right here when you're done talking with her. Your wings won't be here, but I will.

"Now go talk to her. Finally close the book on BethAnn."

He quickly texted her back - meet me outside. Giving Kim another kiss, Spencer left to speak to his former friend, lover, and fiancée.

They sat on a bench outside the bar without speaking for several minutes. Finally, BethAnn broke the silence.

"How've you been, Spencer? You look good. You've bulked up some playing for the Bears. It looks good on you."

"Thanks. I'm doing alright. And you?"

"Things have been better, but I'm ok."

"You look like you've been crying. What's going on, BethAnn?"

"Nothing's going on. I was in town and wanted to catch up."

"Catch up? If you wanted that, all you'd have to do is read Sports Illustrated or watch ESPN. Besides, I could always tell when you were lying. Up until I couldn't."

"Spencer, I want to apologize about what happened. I'm so sorry. I never meant for things to go south like they did."

"But south they went. Why, BethAnn? What did I do to push you away? Did I say something or what? Because I've spent four years wondering why."

"You didn't do anything, Spencer. It was all on me. And I was a complete fool."

"So what happened? How did it start? Why did you leave me like you did?"

"At the time, it seemed like the right thing to do."

Both were quiet for a long time, as Spencer could see BethAnn struggling to find the words."

"First semester of junior year, Bobby and I had that literature class together. The professor had a thing for group work, and he kept putting us together in the same groups, so we were together all the time. For the final, we had a group of five, and we all got along great. The day we did out final presentation, we all went out for dinner and drinks to celebrate. After a while, the other three left, leaving just Bobby and me.

"We had another drink, and then he walked me back to my dorm room. I went to give him a kiss on his cheek to thank him for walking me back, but at the last second, he turned his head, and our lips met, and it was like nothing I'd experienced before - even with you. We started making out until someone yelled for us to get a room. My roommate was already done with her finals and had left for break, so I invited him up.

"Are you sure you want to hear this?"

"Yes. I need to hear it all. I need to hear why you left me at the altar. I need to hear why you lied to me for months. Continue."

"As soon as the door to my room closed, we were all over each other, and were soon naked in my bed. His hands were all over me. His mouth was all over me. And when he entered me, he said,"

"I've wanted to do this for years."

The next morning, I woke up to an empty room, and when I felt the dried cum on my body and how sore I was, I burst into tears. How could I have done that to you? To us? I was mortified at my actions and decided to tell you everything. But then my phone rang, and it was Bobby, telling me how much last night meant to him and how much he loved me and that it was a secret we needed to keep to ourselves. I was so overwhelmed with emotions, all I could do was agree with him.

"And that's how it started. As the weeks went by, I found myself falling in love with him and trying to figure out how to tell you. But whenever I was with you, you treated me like I was the only person in the world, and I couldn't bring myself to say anything. And then it was too late. The draft. The wedding plans. Graduation. I felt trapped and had nobody to talk to. I usually went to you when I needed to talk to someone, but I couldn't find the words."

"And then you went and destroyed my life. And not just my life - Jessica's life as well. Did you two ever think about her and how it would affect her?

"I talked to her a couple of times over the next months, and she seemed ok. She fell into a deep depression, but was talking to a therapist and was on medication, which was helping. But six months after it happened, everything came to a head, and she tried to take her own life.

"She was at her parent's house for Thanksgiving, and one morning they found her laying in her bed, a bottle of pills next to her. Luckily, they found her in time, and she spent several days in the hospital. Her boss spoke to her and her parents, and told them that she could take as much time as she needed to get well, and that she'd have her job when she was ready.

"She decided to move far away, and took a transfer to someplace on the East coast. She called me, out of the blue, about a year ago. We talked for over an hour, and we both exorcised some demons.

"She was happily married and pregnant. Then last Christmas I got a card from her with a picture of her and her family. And she was smiling and looked like she used to.

"So you see, your actions didn't just involve you. Many people were hurt by your selfish actions. I just hope it was worth it."

They again lapsed into silence, until BethAnn spoke again.

"He's been cheating on me, Spence. I suspected it for some time, but I finally found the proof; I served him with divorce papers two days ago, and he called my lawyer and said he wouldn't contest anything, and my terms were fine. So, in several months, I'll be free of him."

They were both quiet again, letting her words sink in. As they sat there, BethAnn turned to Spencer and took his hands in hers. They were warm to the touch, and brought a smile to her face as she remembered how it used to excite her to simply hold his hands.

Spencer felt it as well, and gave her a small smile, which gave her a boost of confidence. Moving closer to him, she pulled his arm around her shoulders and cuddled into him.

"So is there any chance in the world for us to start over? You were my first love - can I be your last love?"

Hearing her words, Spencer jerked away.

"BethAnn, I'm with someone. Someone I love and who loves me. We're getting married in July.

"There's nothing left between us, BethAnn. You trashed everything we had, broke my heart, and now you want me to take you back? BethAnn, there's no way in hell I'd do that. I hate to be so blunt, but it's not happening - not now, not ever. I'm sorry you and Bobby didn't work out, but you knew what he was like and took the chance anyway.

"Good-bye, BethAnn. I hope you can find the happiness you deserve."

Spencer got up and went back into the pub, leaving BethAnn sitting alone, crying. Spencer felt bad about that, but he wasn't going to waste any more time with the girl who betrayed him and broke his heart years earlier.

Sitting in the booth, Spencer took a long drink from his beer, draining the bottle. Waving their waitress over, he ordered another.

"I take it the talk didn't go well?"

"No, it didn't. For a lot of reasons. And now I feel like shit because I left her out there, crying."

Jumping up and giving him a kiss, Kim headed for the front door and BethAnn. Seeing her on the bench, sobbing her eyes out, she felt for the woman.

'She brought this on herself, but I still feel sorry for her.'

Sitting next to BethAnn, Kim put her arm around her and pulled her close. Looking up, BethAnn recognized who it was from pictures posted on Facebook from the cousins who still spoke with Bobby.

"Oh Kim, I've been such a moronic idiot. I've ruined my life, I almost ruined Spencer's, and I almost killed Jessica. And now Bobby's been cheating on me, and we're getting a divorce. I really fucked up my life, didn't I."

Crying some more, Kim held BethAnn until she finally stopped when she looked at Kim in surprise.

"Kim, what are you doing here? How did you know I was outside?"

"Spencer's my finance, BethAnn. We're getting married in July."

"You? I had no idea the two of you knew each other. No one in Bobby's family has ever said anything."

"Well, that's mostly because most of the family doesn't talk to him. I've spoken to his mom and dad several times, so they knew about Spencer and me. In fact, most of his family knows and is thrilled for us. I've also asked them not to say anything to Bobby."

The two ladies sat quietly for a while, contemplating their conversation.

"Kim, do you have someplace to stay? Do you have a job? What are you planning to do, post-Bobby?"

"Yeah, I'm staying with some friends in Wrigleyville for now. They have an extra guest room and said I can stay there for as long as I need. I already have some leads for jobs - hopefully, something will work out. If not, I'll have a bunch of money coming in from the divorce, so I'll be able to live on that for some time.

"But why do you care? Bobby's your cousin and I'm Spencer's ex."

"I care because I know what my cousin is like, and I know how he uses women. He did it in high school, college, and now. And I'm not going to let him ruin you like he did so many others.

"Here's my card. If you need anything, but especially a shoulder to cry on, please consider calling me. It might be awkward with Spencer, but we'll make it work. I know he's really angry with you, especially showing up like this, but deep down there's still some part of him that cares for you."

"Thanks, Kim. I'll probably take you up on your offer."

Heading back in, Kim plopped down next to Spencer and gave him a kiss.

"What's that for?"

"For being the nicest guy in the world."

"Thanks... I think. So, what did you two talk about?"

"Nothing much. Girl talk. But the important thing is, you talked to her. Did you get the closure you needed?"

"Yes. It was painful to hear, but I needed to hear it all. I still can't believe I never saw it coming. But in the long run, I'm glad it did, because it brought me to you. And I love you."

"I love you too, but we need to settle up so you can take me back to my place and pillage my body. It's been too long and I'm aching to feel you fill me up. Let's go, big boy!"

*****

Before they knew it, it was go time for the wedding. All the plans were finalized, and because it was such a big deal for Chicago's Most Eligible Bachelor to get taken off the market, the wedding planner had made arrangements for several of the city's highest profile makeup and hair stylists to take care of Kim on her day.

The night before they had their rehearsal and then dinner at the hotel. The entire wedding party was there, including both sets of parents and grandparents, siblings, and many out of town guests.

As the night rolled on, Spencer noticed Kim being quieter than usual. When he asked her about it, she just replied 'nerves', and they left it at that. But her simple answer brought back nightmare memories for Spencer.

"I'm just tired, that's all. I've been busy at work, trying to get ahead of things before our honeymoon. And when I was in the room earlier, our neighbors were very noisy. I may have to wear earplugs so I can get some sleep. I'll be fine tomorrow."

The next morning, the plan was for everyone to meet at the church at 10:00 so Kim could get her makeup and hair done; Spencer and his groomsmen were meeting there as well to get dressed. But things began to get dicey when by 10:30, Kim still hadn't arrived. Spencer's sister came to talk to him to see if he knew what was going on.

"No, I haven't heard from her. She told me she didn't want to see me or talk to me until she came down the aisle."

"Ok, so now I'm getting worried, as she isn't answering her phone and the hotel tried ringing her room, with no answer."

Hearing that news, Spencer's face drained of color.

"Shit, sis. This is just like last time. I can't believe it's happening again."

"Kim would never do that, Spence. She loves you."

"That's what I thought with BethAnn, and look what she did. What is it with that family and the games they keep playing?

"Would you and dad go to the hotel and see what's going on? I can't bear to do it myself."

Grabbing her father, Cindy sped across town to the hotel. On arriving, they told the manager what was going on, and he took them up to Kim's suite. Knocking on the door got no response, so he used his security key to let them in.

Entering, they saw the room was dark and quiet. Cindy headed to the bedroom, where she found Kim sound asleep, wearing ear plugs and a sleep mask.

Shaking her soon-to-be sister-in-law, Cindy finally woke her up.

"Kim, wake up! Why are you still in bed?"

Waking, Kim sat straight up in bed, staring at Cindy and her father.

"Cindy, why are you here? What's going on?"

"Kim, it's almost 11, and you were supposed to be at the church an hour ago."

"What? Why didn't the front desk call me?"

"They did, and there was no answer. Why are you wearing a mask and earplugs?"

"Oh shit! The neighbors were so noisy I couldn't fall asleep, so I put them on.

"Oh my god. Spencer must be frantic. Is he thinking I did a runner like BethAnn did? Oh god, he's going to kill me."

"He's not going to kill you, but he is getting frantic. Déjà vu, and all that. Come on, no time for a shower; just spray yourself down. We've got to get you to the church."

As their father drove, Cindy texted Spencer, their mom, and the wedding planner that they were on their way, and to get everyone ready to get Kim dressed. When they arrived at the church, Kim ran to Spencer's ready room to explain what happened and to apologize for scaring him.

"Sweetie, don't worry about it now. You're here, and that's what's important. Go get ready - the ladies are waiting to make you more beautiful than you already are. You can fill me in on the details later."

While Kim was getting ready, Spencer walked to the front of the church.

"Can I get everyone's attention, please. I just wanted to let you know that this morning's festivities are going to be delayed. It seems that my fiancée, in her anxiousness to get married, slept through her phone alarm, numerous wake-up calls from the hotel, and my sister pounding on the door to her room - all in vain, as Kim slept through it all. However, she's now in the building and getting ready, so please be patient for a while longer. Thanks for understanding."

After almost an hour, Kim was ready. The wedding party got into place, guests resumed their spots in the pews, the minister stood ready, and the organist began playing. Soon the bridesmaids began their stroll down the aisle, joining the groomsmen already in place. When everyone was in position, the minister nodded to the organist who began to play Pachelbel's Canon in B. Once the music began, Kim and her father stood in the doorway and began their own walk down the aisle. The gathered crowd stood as Kim entered, holding onto her father's arm.

As she got closer to Spencer, his best man J. T., whispered into his ear.

"You are one lucky man, Spence. Kim is beautiful."

"Yes she is, and yes I am."

Meeting at the end of the aisle, Kim's father gave her a kiss before giving Spencer a hug.

"Take care of our little girl, Spencer."

"Don't worry sir. You have nothing to worry about."

Taking Kim's hand, Spencer walked with her to the end of the aisle. While the music finished, Spencer whispered into Kim's ear.

"You look stunning. How am I so lucky to have you as my bride?"

"You're looking pretty good yourself, stud. And I'll explain it all to you later."

Prayers were spoken, hymns were sung, vows and rings were exchanged, and then they were married.

"By the power invested in me by God and the State of Illinois, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss your bride, and you may kiss your husband.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce, for the first time in public, Kim Wells and Spence Walker, husband and wife."

Walking down the aisle to raucous cheers and applause, Kim and Spencer both had huge grins filling their faces. After receiving their guests, everyone headed for the hotel for cocktails and appetizers, to be followed by dinner and dancing.

As the day wore on, Kim attempted to talk to Spencer about the morning, but kept getting interrupted by well-wishers. As the festivities began to end, the couple spent time thanking their guests for coming, and their parents for all they did. They were spending the night at the hotel before flying out the next morning for their honeymoon at a private villa in the Cayman Islands.

When the last guests had left, and after thanking the hotel staff once again, the couple made their way to their suite. Their parents had brought their luggage over and were taking their wedding clothes back home for them the next day.

Entering their suite, Spencer contemplated carrying Kim over the threshold, but changed his mind when she gave him a chilling look.

"You can carry me into our own house, but not here. With this gown, you'll probably whack my head against the door jamb."

The room was dark as they entered, but as Spencer made his way to turn the lights on, Kim stopped him.

"Those lights are far too bright - I prefer these instead."

Stepping to the windows, she opened the curtains, letting the floor to ceiling windows let in the lights of the city. The room was instantly awash in a multiplicity of colors, giving enough light for the newlyweds to just see each other. Silhouetted by the lights at her back, Kim slowly walked to Spencer, a small smile on her face.

"Please unzip me, Spencer. I want to show you your first surprise of the night."

Turning her around, Spencer reached out and unzipped her dress. As he did, the smooth of her back was slowly unveiled, revealing the fact that Kim was, other than stockings, naked under her dress.

Stepping out of her dress, Kim turned to Spencer, baring her body to his eyes.

"Like what you see? I wasn't planning on this, but Cindy and Phillipa convinced me that you would really like this. I was going to tell you earlier that I was naked under my dress, but I thought if I did, you'd probably take me right there on the dance floor, and I want our first time as husband and wife to be a bit more personal."

Pulling her close, Spencer kissed Kim with a fervor he rarely felt. He had seen her naked many times before, but this time was different. It was more than that they were now married; it was the way Kim approached him, baring her body for him with a smile on her face that enticed him even more.

Her naked body in his arms, he kissed his wife all over; starting with her lips, he then moved to her neck and chest, taking a nipple into his mouth and sucking on it before moving to the other; moving lower, he kissed her torso and teased her belly button with his tongue; sliding to his knees, he continued to kiss Kim, moving lower and lower, now kissing down the inside of one leg and up on the other, stopping just short of her moistening pussy.

Kissing all around her most private of parts triggered a series of moans from his wife; at the same time, her hands began to guide his head to where she wanted him most. Teasing her more, he stood and kissed her neck again, while whispering in her ear,

"Is there someplace else you want my mouth? Someplace else you want my tongue? Someplace else you want me to kiss and suck?"

With her legs shaking and her pussy throbbing, all Kim could get out was 'lick me, please'.

Kneeling before her once again, Spencer opened Kim's legs wider and began to kiss the inside of her thighs. Moving up and down, but never touching her pussy, he covered his wife's legs with kisses. He could smell her arousal and taste her wetness, yet kept teasing her with his mouth.

Unwilling to wait any longer, Kim grabbed Spencer's head and pushed it onto her pussy, and his tongue slid deep into her depths. Almost immediately, Kim's first orgasm of the night washed over her, and Spencer was treated to a taste of her womanly juices.

Licking her through another orgasm, Spencer stood and picked her up, gently laying her on their bed. She looked at him through lidded eyes, waiting to see what he did next to her. Smiling at his wife, Spencer quickly shed his clothes and joined her on the bed, covering her face with kisses while his fingers replaced his tongue.

Moving his mouth lower, he began to once again suckle at her luscious breasts while his fingers danced inside her pussy, bringing her to another orgasm. Moaning his name, Kim pulled Spencer on top of her, opening her legs once again as wide as she could.

"Fuck me, baby. Fuck your wife and make me cum again. Fill me with your dick and fuck my cunt."

Reaching for his erection, Kim pushed him into her pussy, with both of them moaning as he filled her.

"Oh yes. Oh Spencer, you're so deep inside me. Fuck me, please."

Moving slowly at first, Spencer gradually built up his speed until his balls were slapping Kim's ass with each thrust. She came again, and this time, Spencer was close behind, pumping his essence deep into his wife.

With the last spurts of his cum emptying into Kim, Spencer lay on top of her, resting his weight on his arms. Catching his breath, he kissed her once again before slipping out of her and laid next to his exhausted, but sated, wife.

"I love you so much, Spencer. Promise me you'll do this with me as often as we can. I love feeling your dick inside me, filling me with your semen. Your lips on my nipples, your tongue and fingers inside my cunt - all of it makes me feel like the luckiest woman in the world. Better, like the most loved woman in the world.

"But not just all that. I want everything. I want to feel your dick inside my mouth with my tongue licking the head until you fill my mouth with your cum. Sometime I want you to take my anal virginity. Not anytime soon - just something to think about for the future. And there's one more thing I want to do tonight, and now that I feel your dick pushing against my leg, I think it's time."

Swinging her body around, Kim pulled Spencer's dick into her mouth and began to suck him off. She took her time, bringing him to the verge of cumming before backing off - only to begin again. Soon, he was almost begging her to let him cum.

"Oh my god, Kim. That feels so good. But I need to cum."

Pulling off his dick, Kim got on the floor, kneeling by the bed.

"Cum on my face, Spence. Cover my face and tits with your cum. Paint me with your cum."

Jumping up, Spencer stood before his beautiful wife, her mouth open and her hands holding her tits together, begging him to cover her with his cum. The sight was too much for him, and he came quickly and violently, covering her with spurt after spurt. She didn't move, catching as much in her mouth as she could. When he finished, she took him back into her mouth, sucking out what cum was left in his dick, and cleaning him off. She then surprised him by licking the cum off her face and scooping it off her tits and feeding it to herself. Smiling at him, she stood and pulled him tight.

"Thank you for that. I've always thought that having someone cum on my face and tits was something I'd never do - it's just a bit too whorish for me. But I wanted to do something special for you tonight, something only for you. Surprisingly, I liked it and it's something we're going to do again.

"Let's take a shower together and see what other mischief we can get into."

An hour later, after giving each other several more orgasms, the couple were snuggling in bed, each caressing the other's naked body. They were quiet for a long time until Kim began to speak.

"Spence, can we talk about this morning? I'm so sorry for what happened. I can only imagine what you were thinking - 'I can't believe this is happening to me again' - had to be going through your head. I never imagined I'd sleep though all the alarms and calls, even with my earplugs in. I've never done something like that before - in fact, I usually wake up before my alarm even rings. I love you, baby, and I never meant to hurt you. Will you forgive me?"

"Sweetie, there's nothing to forgive. I admit I flashed back to what happened before, and some very unsavory thoughts about you and your family began to creep into my head. But once I heard from Cindy, I realized it was all an accident and everything would work out. I love you, Kim, and always will. I'll be forever grateful you plopped into my booth looking for help that night."

The next ten days were pure bliss for the newlyweds. Their villa was situated on Seven Mile Beach, giving them access the beach and the ocean. There was a pool, hot tub, sauna, and many other amenities that made their stay on Grand Cayman a delight.

They also indulged in the many tourist opportunities the island offered. The Crystal Caves, Sting Ray City, the bioluminescence tour, Queen Elizabeth Botanical Garden - their days were filled with new and exciting things to do and see. And with the plethora of excellent restaurants, they knew their daily runs on the beach weren't going to do much good.

One morning, as they lazed around the pool, Spencer looked up from his book to see Kim laying on her stomach with her bikini top unhooked.

"You should probably put some sunscreen on before you start to burn. Want some help?"

"You just want an excuse to put your hands on me. But yes, I'd love some help."

Kneeling next to Kim, Spencer squeezed the cream onto her back, and began to rub it in. Moving lower, he covered her legs and feet; then, grasping her bikini bottoms, he told her to lift up so he could take them off. Laughing, she complied.

"You are such a dirty old man. You just want to see me naked again."

"True. But I also know how much you dislike tan lines, and this way you won't have any."

Sometime later, Kim called out to Spencer.

"Spence, would you give me a hand again?"

"Absolutely. What's up?"

Flipping over to her back, Kim smiled at her husband.

"How about doing my front?"

Squeezing the cream onto his hands, Spencer started to rub it in, starting at her shoulders, and working his way down her arms. He skipped over her breasts and did her torso; as he did, he leaned over and began to lick her nipples, which brought a series of whimpers from Kim.

Sliding his hands lower, he began to rub the cream onto her legs; as he did, he noticed Kim began to open her legs wider, giving him access to her wet pussy. Adjusting once again, he positioned his face between her splayed thighs and began to lick her wetness. Moaning again, Kim opened her legs wider, giving Spencer all the access he needed.

As he moved his mouth to her clit, he slipped two fingers into Kim and began to drive them in and out, rubbing her G-spot with each push, quickly bringing Kim to a loud orgasm.

"God, Spencer. What you do to me. Please make love to me, baby. Right here, out in the open. Fill me with your dick, and cum inside me."

Moving on top, Spencer placed his erection at Kim's open pussy and slowly pressed his way in. Both lovers groaned at the feeling, and soon Spencer was filling his lover once again.

"You do that so well, Spencer. You make me feel so loved every time we make love; I don't think I'll ever get enough of you."

"Then the good news is, you'll never have to."

Far too soon, their time was up, and they headed back to the real world of Chicago and their jobs. It took Kim several weeks to get caught up, and Spencer was soon deep into training camp, getting ready for the upcoming season. And as returning Super Bowl champs, the entire organization knew the rest of the league would be ready for them.

Opening day was soon upon them, and the Bears were opening at home once again; but in a bizarre twist, it was a Super Bowl rematch with the Raiders. Most people thought nothing of it, but Spencer knew that deep down, Bobby Wells would try something to get back at him.

He shared his feelings with Kim, but she didn't think Bobby would have the guts to try something. Both Floyd and Leon thought the same, but both said they would be watching out, just in case.

Opening day was a glorious, late summer afternoon in Chicago - a sky so blue it almost hurt to look at it, a breeze off the lake, and warm, but not hot, temperatures. As 60,000 people filed into Soldier Field, everyone was anticipating an exciting game. In the end, no one had any idea what was to transpire.

The game was hard hitting, and the score was close - the Bears led at halftime 21-9. There was the usual amount of trash talking from both sides, but Spencer was concerned, as Bobby's remarks kept getting more and more personal and while Spencer kept ignoring him.

The second half began, and Bobby now began to trash talk Kim, calling her all sorts of names. Floyd and Leon kept Spencer in control, until they couldn't.

Bobby ran a quick slant across the middle, caught the pass, and was immediately flattened by Spencer.

"If you say one more thing about my wife, I'm going to take you out, Bobby. I'm sick of your shit."

Jumping up, Bobby glared at Spencer, daring him to make the first move. When Spencer turned and walked away, infuriating Bobby, he made the move that in the end ruined his career.

As Spencer walked away, Bobby ran at him and without any warning, drove his shoulder into Spencer's left leg, bending his knee inward and ultimately tearing both his ACL and MCL. Screaming in pain, Spencer fell to the turf as Bobby laughed and walked away. But before he took two steps, both Floyd and Leon were on him; one tore off his helmet while the second grabbed the front of Bobby's jersey, and began to punch him in the face, landing five devastating blows before being pulled off, leaving Bobby's face a bloody mess. Several players began to fight with Floyd and Leon, but everyone was soon pulled away, leaving the referees to sort things out.

In the meantime, the trainers were working on Spencer's leg, knowing by looking at it, the damage that occurred. At the same time, Kim was in the stands being held back by Amy, as she threatened to run onto the field and take care of Bobby herself.

"Kim, settle down. There's nothing you can do; if you try to get on the field, security will arrest you and toss your ass in jail. Right now, the best thing you can do is come with me to the locker room so we can check on Spence."

While Spencer was getting carted off the field, Kim was getting consoling hugs and kisses by the other player's wives and girlfriends. Coaches from both teams had finally gotten their players off the field, and the referee was finally able to restore control.

"There are dead ball fouls on both teams. Number 17, offense, 15 yards unsportsmanlike conduct. Number 17 is also ejected from the game. Numbers 55 and 52, defense, 15 yards for unsportsmanlike conduct, both are ejected from the game. The penalties will offset, second down."

Hearing the referee's call, the stadium was filled with jeers. However, Spencer's teammates were congratulating both Floyd and Leon for what they did. At the same time, Bobby was being ignored by all his teammates, and needed a police escort to the locker room, as the fans were threatening him as well as throwing bottles and cans at him. As it turned out, that play was the last for Bobby Wells in the NFL. The next day the league commissioner suspended him, without pay, for the next eight games; when the suspension ended, the Raiders cut him from the team, and no other team would dare to pick him up. Both Floyd and Leon were given three game suspensions, and all three were fined $50,000. And in an unsurprising twist, Bears fans sent in money to pay the fines for the players who were simply standing up for their friend.

By the time Kim and Amy got to the locker room, Spencer was already on his way to the hospital, and by the looks on the faces of the training staff, Spencer's knee was not in good shape.

"It's probably both an ACL/MCL tear, which means a 12-month rehab. Dr. Johanssen is meeting them at the hospital, so she'll have the final say. It doesn't look good, Kim. But knowing Spencer, he'll be back at it before we know."

And one year later, almost to the day, Spencer Walker, with his knee repaired and fully rehabbed, led the Bears onto the field for another championship season.

Epilogue

Entering his house from the garage, Spencer saw a note on the door, and chuckled as he read it.

S,

We're on the deck - hopefully asleep. Grab something to drink, and come join us, but please be quiet...

K

Grabbing a beer from the fridge, Spencer quietly stepped onto their large deck, only to be greeted by a sight that warmed his heart - Kim, nursing their baby.

Hearing him, Kim looked up and smiled at her husband, a look of love on her face. Samantha was only five months old, but she already had her father wrapped around her finger. Spencer was so good with her, and even though Kim was breastfeeding, he still got up with her during the night to change diapers and get the baby back to sleep.

"She's done. Will you burp her and then lay her back down?"

Gently taking his daughter from his wife, Spencer laid a towel over his shoulder and then held his daughter, lightly patting her back until they were rewarded with a very un-ladylike belch, which caused both to laugh.

"She gets more like her mother every day."

After putting the baby in her crib, Spencer joined Kim, sitting next to her on the porch swing. Holding hands and cuddling, no words were needed to show how much each loved the other. After a while Spencer realized Kim had fallen asleep on his shoulder, so he pulled her closer and kept up the gentle rocking of the swing.

Later that evening, after putting Samantha down for the night, the couple stood in awe looking at their daughter who was sound asleep.

"She's so beautiful, and such a good baby."

"She's beautiful, just like her mom. She must get the good part from me."

"Yeah, right. You just keep thinking that, Butch."

Quietly, the couple sat back outside on their deck, watching the stars slowly making their appearance for the night. Both were quiet, lost in thought, when Spencer suddenly asked 'why'?

"Why, what?"

"Why did you plop yourself into my booth that night at The Sports Page? There were other single guys you could've sat with. Why me? Not that I'm complaining, but just wondering."

Kim was silent, smiling at the memory before she answered.

"Probably several reasons. First, I already knew who you were, so that made it a bit safer. Second, after what BethAnn put you through, I figured you weren't on the prowl for a girlfriend, so that made you a safer bet than a stranger. Plus, you looked so damn cute that after a while I was hoping my friends would bail on me so I could spend more time with you. That's why I gave you the cryptic answer about meeting again.

"Truth be told, I always thought BethAnn was an idiot for what she did, and when I saw you sitting alone, I thought I'd give it a shot. The worst you could've said was 'get lost', and the best - well, here we are."

Laughing at her answer, Spencer gave Kim a long, soft kiss.

"Before we met, I had numerous women do and say a variety of things to get me to notice them, but yours was the most unique. And I've been forever grateful that you plopped your cute little ass into my booth that night.

"I love you, Kimberly Rose."

"I love you too, Spencer David."
