Tails from the Future Ch. 01

This is a story that takes place in an alternate future universe where humanity has started using technology to splice their DNA with animals for the aesthetic, mostly. It had been tested before release; however, the corporations that funded the labs wanted them to push it out before all the kinks had been worked out.

Chapter 1:

Luna arched her back and softly yawned as she awoke. Her tail lazily curved towards the ceiling. She crawled out of her warm sheets, greeted by the cool morning air. Before she would probably shiver and want to sneak back under her covers, but her new fur kept her quite warm.

It had been a week since the procedure, and she was still getting used to the changes. So far, she'd only experienced benefits, despite hearing rumours online about some strange side effects that netizens had been reporting lately.

Commuting to the office meant she had to get onto a crowded subway. Luna had an aversion to touching people. By the time it would get to her stop, all the seats were filled, and the passengers would almost be packed like sardines. Being squished against strangers was a nightmare for her. She barely let friends and family hug her. With these new changes to her body and her unfulfilled ????????????????, it was even less comfortable than before.

She squeezed into the subway car as usual. Wedged in between a pretty woman, who also seemed to have undergone the procedure, and a large man listening to music, who was luckily facing away. The woman seemed to be spliced with a fox. She seemed to be further along in her transition, her hair was fully orange, as was her bushy tail. Luna tried to stifle a moan as the car lurched to a halt. An announcement blared.

"Attention all passengers, this train will be stopped until further notice. There is a blockage on the tracks. We are investigating and thank you for your patience."

"Just what I needed." She sarcastically thought to herself.

She noticed the fox was blushing a little.

"Oh fuck, I'm so sorry!" She profusely apologized. She had become partially erect after the sudden stop. She wasn't hung, but she was big enough to be felt in this proximity.

"It's okay, it happens!" The fox with a giggle.

"It's happened to me before, well, not in a position like this, but when someone bumped into me on the street. I'm Saph by the way! Short for Sapphire. Since we'll be stuck here for who knows how long, we might as well get acquainted." She said cheerfully.

"Erm, well I'm Luna. I'm only a week in, is this a common side effect?" Luna asked.

"Apparently it only happens to trans folks that tried the procedure. Just another prank from the gods!" she laughed, "I suppose we already have two things in common then!"

"I bet we have another thing in common." She grinned and whispered in Luna's ear "Would you be interested in making the best of our time here?"

Luna felt her face blush and her body started to warm as she Saph push against her strained gock.

"We're in public!" she whispered back in a panic.

"So? Nobody will remember who we are once we're off the train, not that anyone is facing us anyways. Besides, I think your body is sending me other signals." She slid a hand down to meet Luna's throbbing member. Luna let out a small gasp.

The pair got off at the next stop and waved down a taxi.
