Happy Holly Daze Ch. 02

My phone rang on Friday night. I was quite happy to see the number when I answered. "Hi sweetie!"

My stepdaughter-girlfriend replied, "Hi, Daddy! It's only been a day and a half, but I miss you already!"

"I love you and I miss you, too, Holly. How are you doing?"

"Pretty good. My roommate Heidi and I got our class schedules. Until noon, they're the same. Then I have a two-hour break while she's in organic chem lab. She's done at four, but I have geology until six. Everything looks good, except macro-econ at seven am with Professor Karsten. People say he's the most boring speaker they've ever heard! Doing well in a boring class first thing in the morning will be tough."

I chuckled a bit and offered, "I'll send you a coffee pot."

"Thanks, but Heidi brought one. She's super creative. She showed me how you can make soup or toasted cheese sandwiches with it."

"Cool. I hope she recovered from our big surprise?"

"Hehehe! She gave me a big surprise this morning! I came back from breakfast, and she had a hand in her pajamas! She was Jilling herself on a video call! Hehehe! Talk about awkward!"

I nervously joked, "I guess that's fair, since she saw cum dripping from your butt! Hahahah!" She chuckled along with me.

"GAWD! I just about DIED of shame!"

I mentioned, "If that's your worst problem, I guess things are going well. I'll call you next weekend."

"Oh, some more cool things. I'm Holly Jensen and she's Heidi Jenkins. Three months ago, she and her aunt moved to an apartment in Springfield, only a couple miles from you!"

"Wow! So many coincidences!" I hopefully added, "If you're in the mood, maybe you and I can do a sexy video call?"

There was aroused nervousness in her voice when she replied, "Hehehe! Maybe some other time. The cafeteria closes in twenty minutes. I gotta run."

"Okay. Take care, and call me next weekend. I love you, Holly."

"Love you, too, Daddy. Bye."

Instead of the next weekend, she called me on Wednesday afternoon. I was working at my business, a specialty wood and carpentry supply house. I smiled and walked toward the back of the warehouse, when I saw her number. "Hi, Holly. How are you doing?"

"Hi. I'm ah... mostly okay. I kinda have a problem. Please don't be mad."

"Why would I be mad? What's wrong?"

"Nothing really wrong, just weird. Um... I was in the shower yesterday, and my roommate Heidi walked in. It's a big communal shower for the whole floor. Sometimes a bunch of girls shower together, so no big deal. Except ah..."

I began to worry. "Except for what? What happened?"

"Nothing bad. Um... When I finished washing my hair, I opened my eyes. Heidi was staring at my butt! Ah... and then she smiled and looked at my boobs, too!"

"Did she hurt you? Are you okay?"

"Nobody touched me. I'm fine, but ah... but I looked at her, too. I never thought I liked girls before. Please don't be mad? I got nervous, so I grabbed my bathrobe and ran out. Now, any time she sees me, she blushes and looks away. I don't know what to say to her! We share a room, but haven't talked in a whole day! Please say you're not mad at me?"

"I love you and you're honest with me, so I could never be angry with you. Things will be okay." I dreaded the answers, but had to ask, "Do you want to ah... date her? More than date?"

"I... I don't know. I would never mean to hurt you, but she's really hot! Especially in her tight shorts. I think she likes me. But I love you. I love you so much!" There were tears in her voice.

"It's okay, Holly. You're an adult now. I love you, but you can make your own decisions."

"Daniel, I love you! I really do! But she..."

"I love you, too. But if you want to break up with me, and be with somebody else..."

"No! I want... I still want to be with you! But I really like her. You know, like her, like her. I don't know what to do!"

I pushed jealousy aside and tried to do the best thing for my stepdaughter. "If you want to flirt, or go on a date with her, or something, that's up to you."

One of my employees, tool specialist Gary, walked near me. It looked like he had a question, until I said; "No matter who you sleep with, I'll always love you and be your Dad." Gary turned and walked away, as Holly stammered, "I uh... I..."

"If you want to be with her instead of me... just tell me if you have sex, okay?"

"I love you so much! I'm not sure, uh... History class in six minutes. Gotta go! Bye."

I only had time to say, "I love..." before she hung up.

Holly was the second love of my life, and my only child. I had to put her needs ahead of mine, but losing her might break me. I tried to fight the tears forming at the corners of my eyes.

Gary asked, "You okay, Dan?"

I wiped my eyes with a tissue and blew my nose, then gave the excuse, "Dang allergies! Pollen is terrible today."

He nodded and asked, "Do you know where they put the Minnesota black walnut? A customer wants sixty board feet."

I composed myself and answered, "Aisle four, left side, but I think there's only fifty. Tell 'em we'll have more Monday, or Peruvian walnut is cheaper and almost the same."
