Can he Rescue Kat's cat and Kat?

Part one.

I'm a walker, and I love to explore the many trails two blocks west of my house. Most trails run along a creek or the river it flows into a little further south. Surprisingly, even though the area is inside the city limits, few people are encountered on the trails, especially on weekday mornings when most folks are at work. It makes for a relaxing walk in nature, one that I enjoy 3 to 4 days a week. I usually walk about five miles to keep in shape, but much longer walks are there for the taking.

I work at our local airport as an air traffic controller on the evening or second shift. Walking seems to keep my stress level in check, which is important for my job responsibilities and health as I enter my forties. My marriage to a woman with a gambling addiction ended six years ago. It was about that time when I discovered the benefits of walking to cope with my problems, and it also helped me lose 20 pounds. I feel terrific today in my 5-foot-10-inch frame, at 175 pounds. Standing naked and gazing into the mirror with my baby blues, I am nothing more and nothing less than an average size man in all physical respects. Can he Rescue Kat

Mental toughness is a strength of mine, and I've been told that I have a great sense of humor. Yes, I do love to laugh, and I enjoy the company of my handful of close friends. All my closest friends are males. We fish, bowl, play tennis, drink beer, and watch sports on TV when we get together. Being on the second shift does limit my social time, as none of my friends work the same shift I do. I consider my work schedule a trade-off. It's more laid back at work and ideal for enjoying nature during the day, but sometimes I feel lonely and like I am missing out on life. Romantic relationships are also tougher to find and nurture, though I've managed to have several. I haven't had a girlfriend since last year; unfortunately, our different schedules never matched, so we eventually broke up.

On a Tuesday in early May, I was on my way down to the creek when I noticed a large poster attached to a power pole. "LOST FEMALE CAT. GET A $300.00 REWARD FOR FINDING HER. I am praying to get her back; she has been missing since Friday night." The owner, Kat Johnson, has provided her phone number and address. Included is a picture of an all-white cat with the name Angel below it. I thought, 300 bucks; she must truly love her kitty. I did understand her feelings because I also have a pet cat, and he is special to me. I noticed she lives one block south and two blocks west of me. Her house must be right above the creek and obviously much closer to it than mine. I had never met her, nor did I have any idea who she was. I remember thinking, I hope she finds her Angel.

The following day was clear and very warm. Around 9:30 am I left home on foot; I planned on taking a super long walk. I carried along my backpack so I could bring a light lunch and a frozen bottle of water that doubled as an ice pack and then a cool drink as it melted. I was walking along the creek towards the river when I noticed something white across the creek from me. At first, I thought it was an albino grey squirrel, but then closer up, I saw it was a cat. It had to be Angel, the missing cat, and I wondered how she had gotten over to the other side of the creek, away from her home. There are walking bridges over the creek, but none nearby, and most cats don't like to swim.

How can I catch this cat? Then I remembered that I had a chicken sandwich in my backpack. The cat had to be hungry; she probably hadn't eaten anything since last Friday when she disappeared. I called her name, and she just looked warily at me. I thought she might run, but I had to try to catch her. The creek is only about two feet deep in this area, and I was wearing shorts as usual for this time of year. I didn't want to frighten her or waste time, so I waded across about twenty feet to the cat's right with my walking shoes on. I sat down on a huge rock on the creek's edge and took the things out of my backpack. I called Angel and showed her some chicken from my sandwich, and to my surprise, she came right over. The poor cat was starving, and she even let me pet her. When she least expected it, I swiftly grabbed her and shoved her into the main compartment of my backpack and placed my lunch into a separate section. I had to get her back home, and that was the only way.

I didn't have my cell phone to call, so I walked with the cat on my back nearly a mile to the owner's address. I hoped someone would be home. By this time the cat was freaking out. I rang and rang the doorbell, but there was no answer. I had a big problem: what was I going to do with this cat? I wondered if the owner could possibly be outside in the backyard. I saw a chain-link fence with a gate on the east side of the house. I felt uncomfortable walking into a stranger's yard, but I was getting desperate to unload this cat. The cat was yowling inside my backpack. The property was adjacent to woodlands that run down to the creek on two sides, making the backyard totally secluded except for one neighbor, a vacant lot away on the left or east side. While I walked toward the back of the house, I shouted several times, "Hello, anyone home?" There was no reply. Upon reaching the back of the home, I noticed a wooden privacy fence that extended out from the house and around. I figured it protected a pool or something. I still hadn't heard anything, and I couldn't see through the fence.

I opened a self-closing gate next to the house, stepped inside, and uttered, "Hello, anyone?" and then froze. In my line of sight, only 6 feet away and facing me, was a completely naked woman sunning herself on a patio. She wore headphones and had her eyes closed. I watched as her hips gyrated around on a chaise to some kind of music. I thought, oh my God, maybe I can sneak back out before she notices me. However, I found it difficult to retreat as her beauty instantly captivated me. I saw lush, dark brown hair framing a lovely face, super nice, bigger than average tits, perfectly toned legs, and a well-groomed landing strip of dark hair above her fully exposed pink pussy lips. Those alluring lips swirled along with her hip movements; it was a sight to behold. I started to back up slowly when the cat shrieked. Evidently, her loud song was over, and she heard the noise. Her eyes opened wide, and she yelled, "What the fuck?" My heart sank; I was in serious trouble.

I figured that she would scream wildly and run inside to call the police. Apparently, she had walked out to her concealed patio with only a small towel around her waist, so she could only cover her bottom, and she did that in a flash. Her beautiful boobs were still on display. Hoping beyond hope that I could explain, I shouted, "Please forgive me, ma'am; I was looking to find someone home. If you're Kat Johnson, I found your cat!" Instantly, I watched her mood change from one of alarm to glee.

The lady was overjoyed when she received my news and obviously forgot or didn't care that she was still topless. She jumped up from the chaise with her towel tucked around itself and came over to me. I let Angel out, and she ran around the enclosed patio. Unexpectedly, the pretty woman jumped right into my arms. She hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. She exclaimed, "Yes, I'm Kat, thank you, thank you so much!" She had become emotional, and her tears were flowing. I felt her soft tits right through my tee shirt as she pressed her ample breasts against me. It only lasted a few seconds; even so, if I hadn't been so fearful and surprised, my cock would have responded big time.

I felt like saying, my pleasure; however, that didn't seem proper at all, so I said, "You're very welcome, Kat." I couldn't help but admire this near-naked woman with her bare tits only inches away from me. I found myself secretly hoping the loosely secured towel would slip off; I was harboring naughty thoughts that I couldn't deny. All too soon, she noticed my flushed face and caught me ogling her spectacular breasts.

Kat immediately covered her light brown nipples that were protruding out about half an inch with her forearms and said, "Sorry, I am so embarrassed; I don't know what got into me. Will you kindly meet me at the front door in about 10 minutes?" Actually, Kat was more exhilarated than embarrassed.

"Sure."

The weather hadn't been allowing much sun worshipping so far this spring, so on this sunny day Kat had planned to finally work on her overall tan. She hated tan lines and loved the feeling of the sun on her bare skin. Sunbathing in the nude was a liberating feeling she greatly enjoyed every summer. Along with the sun's nurturing warmth, being naked made Kat feel like she was part of nature and just plain sexy. There was also something exciting about the slight risk of being seen that gave her a thrill. Despite having exposed herself several times away from home, where no one could discover her identity, today's incident marked the first time someone who probably lived nearby had caught her in an au naturel state on her patio. Instead of feeling mortified, the man's ogling and body language made her feel very desirable and naughty at the same time. After all, Kat was proud of the way she looked, and he definitely confirmed her body's continued allure. This guy seemed non-threatening and nice enough, so facing him again wasn't going to be the least bit troubling in her mind.

I needed to calm down, so the 10 minutes it took for her to open the front door was all good. The striking view this lady gave me of her body was going to be etched in my mind forever. This was especially true given that I hadn't seen a naked woman in many months or even dated one with clothes on for that matter. Every guy has his own preference when it comes to what female appearance they find most attractive looks-wise; already I knew this stunningly gorgeous lady was just my type. She owns a near-perfect figure that I guessed to be 36C-24-36 or close to it. Her beautiful face looked familiar somehow; however, in my somewhat unsettled state, I couldn't seem to place her.

When she opened the door, I noticed right away her casual yet demure attire; the baggy T-shirt covered a bra, and she wore longish shorts. On her feet she had on a pair of slippers. She had brushed her hair and put on a little lipstick and makeup. She looked like one in a million. Cheerfully she said, "Come on in." It seemed like nothing embarrassing had ever happened between us.

Standing in the entryway of her spacious home, I said, "Nice to meet you, Kat; I'm Jeff Nelsen. I am so glad that I could bring your cat home." I reached out my hand to shake Kat's and got a delightful squeeze back from her petite hand. Suddenly, I recognized her from the trails. I remarked, "Wait, you're that gal. I often see you on my walks." On the trail, she always wore a friendly smile and would exchange a hello or good morning with me. I had never spoken to her beyond those greetings. A few times I'd seen her walking with a man who appeared to be a good foot taller than her and muscular.

Kat replied, "And you're that guy." We laughed at that. There was a slight pause as we smiled back and forth. After a couple of seconds, she stated, "I was out in the neighborhood again this morning looking for Angel, and she was nowhere to be found." Then she asked, "Where did you find her?" After I told her, she looked concerned and commented, "I wonder how she ever got way over there?"

Kat wanted me to sit down on her living room couch, but I said, "My feet are wet, and I don't want to mess up your nice furniture." I sat down on a bench in her entryway instead and took in her loveliness once again. She is a beautiful woman indeed, but I already knew that. Kat is slightly on the short side but well-proportioned from top to bottom. Her shiny brunette hair is lush, and her hazel eyes sparkled whenever she spoke. Her eyes were very expressive, and she reminded me of the actress Lucy Hale.

She wanted to get me something to drink, asking, "Soda, beer, water, or, considering the way we met, something stronger might be in order; what would you like?" Her big smile revealed sparkling white teeth and someone with a delightful sense of humor.

I chuckled anxiously at her remark and said, "Thanks, Kat, I could use a stiff drink, but I have to work later, so that's out. I'll take a glass of water; mine is still mostly frozen in my backpack."

She smiled reassuringly and replied, "I understand; I work later on too. You can hang out here for a little while, can't you? I want to hear all about how you caught Angel, and then I'll pay you."

"You bet; I have plenty of time."

"Super," Kat exclaimed, then proceeded to fetch each of us a glass of water. After returning from the kitchen, she handed me the glass of water and sat down next to me on my right side. I then proceeded to tell her about Angel's capture in detail. She shared that Angel had never run away before and that she was troubled about where I found her, it being on the other side of the creek and so far away. We chatted about the walking trails and shared remarks about how much we enjoyed them. I learned that Kat is a nurse and always works evenings like I do. That explained why I've seen her so often.

Kat asked, "Do you live around here?" I ended up telling her where I lived, that I was divorced, and that I didn't have any children. I told her my only roommate is my cat, Oscar. She seemed interested, especially when I told her about my kitty. She got me to talk about my job as well. She seemed impressed with my occupation and really knows how to make you feel valued.

After our friendly conversation, not to mention the smoking hot visual treats she had given me, I felt truly appreciated by her, and that was better than any monetary reward. So, I told her, "Please keep the $300.00 reward; your thanks are all I need."

Shocked, she said, "Really, you're too good to be true; at least let me buy you a new pair of shoes."

"No, mine will be fine once they dry out." Abruptly, Kat leaned over to me and gave me another heartfelt hug and more very friendly kisses on my cheek and a couple on my neck.

After Kat sat back up, she looked into my soul with her expressive eyes and said, "Jeff, I am so grateful to you. Can we please keep what happened on the patio just between us?" Kat was no prude. Jeff catching her in the nude hadn't been bothering her whatsoever. She was only concerned about her boyfriend finding out about it.

Wow, I was getting smitten by her beauty and kind personality. "You're welcome, and believe me, no one will ever hear about what I observed on your patio from me. I can also relate to how strongly you feel about your cat." I could tell my comment relieved her worries and made her feel good.

Before anything more was said, the front door opened, and in came a large man. He asked, "Who's this?"

Kat jumped up looking astonished and promptly declared, "This guy found Angel down by the creek."

He said, "Really." To me, he looked surprised, but not very pleased. I was getting a bad vibe.

She looked at me and said, "Jeff, this is my fiancé, Dirk." I noticed that he winced when she added, "Dirk, meet my new hero, Jeff."

I said, "Nice to meet you." I reached out with my hand and got no response. I felt it was time to go and stated, "I need to run." I wasn't Dirk's hero, that's for sure.

Kat smiled and spoke up, "Jeff, you have my deepest gratitude, and I hope to see you on the trails." She thought, what a wonderful guy, and he is a handsome man too; I am surprised he is not spoken for.

I looked at her and then at her boyfriend, who looked irritated and remarked, "Indeed, take care." And I left quickly. As I walked home, my perception of Kat's amazing nature dominated my mind. It was impossible to explain how her tangible and intangible qualities had attracted me. Her beauty is undeniable, but what truly enhanced her magnetism was the look in her eyes, the way she spoke, the tone of her voice, and her body language. Once I started thinking about her body, my cock began to stir, and I knew for certain her boyfriend is one lucky guy.

After I exited her house, Dirk remarked, "I saw lipstick on his cheek and neck. You kissed that guy, didn't you? I don't like it!"

Kat answered, "Yes, I was ecstatic over him finding Angel, and I got a little carried away. It didn't mean anything. Why are you home so early?"

"I took a half-day vacation. I planned to surprise you and take you out for lunch. Now I'm pissed off and headed to the bar."

"Fine!" Kat went to look for Angel, and he slammed the front door on his way out.

Once I got home, I noticed red lipstick was visible on my right cheek and on that side of my neck. I figured her boyfriend must have seen that; no wonder he acted so unfriendly and appeared to be irritated about something. I felt fortunate that he hadn't come home an hour sooner.

It wasn't until the following Monday morning that I came across Kat on the trails. She embraced me like a long-lost friend. I felt her warmth as she gave me another big hug, and I hugged her back. This time, as she gave my cheek a peck, I gave her nearest cheek one too. It didn't seem to faze her one little bit. All I saw was a radiant smile and perfect white teeth. My lips had touched velvety skin. She said, "Jeff, it's so good to see you. Do you mind if I walk with you?"

"Of course not, let's walk and talk." All healthy heterosexual men enjoy the sight of a beautiful woman, and I too would be found guilty of goggling at them. Kat is one of those beauties, and she was standing right in front of me. She had dressed appropriately for this warm day. The T-shirt and form-fitting shorts I saw complemented her magnificent figure. A bra was slightly visible under her thin top; it supported what I already knew were perfect-sized boobs for her physique. Those shorts covered Kat's alluring hip flare that I still had branded into my mind's eye, gyrating around on that chaise. Further down, her untanned legs on display checked out perfectly, even without much color showing. Best of all, when Kat gazed at me, I took in that glowing smile that promoted her winsome personality.

"Jeff. You're still my hero."

I replied, "Oh shucks, you're making me blush. Good to see you too. Have you been down here since last Wednesday?"

Kat giggled and said, "Oh shucks, I am not making you do anything, silly guy, and yes, I've been looking for you down here."

Occasionally, you meet someone who is on the same wavelength as you. They make you laugh, and you make them laugh too. You can finish each other's sentences and play off the other person's thoughts with escalating humor that you both enjoy. The more we chatted and bantered back and forth, the more I realized Kat's mind and my mind gel very well. For instance, out of the blue, I asked her, "How's your little white pussy doing?" Inadvertently, I had omitted "cat" from the question. Instantly, I realized I had made a cringe-worthy gaffe.

She quickly answered, "Don't you think that you're getting rather personal?"

I replied, "Oops, my bad."

I was worried that I had offended her, but then I noticed a mischievous look on her face as she pushed my shoulder. She was pretending to be serious while sneering and making exaggerated faces at me. At first I chuckled nervously, but as she continued to give me comical looks, I burst into laughter, causing her to lose control and start laughing as well. She has a funny, high-pitched guffaw that elicited a hearty belly laugh from me, and I felt overpowered by it. Then while squeezing my upper arm, she let out a "Meow" and snorted. That really did it; I howled and laughed hysterically, and so did she. My abs were starting to burn, so I tried to calm down. Yet, every time I looked up at her face in wonderment, I would lose my composure again because of the amused twinkle in her eyes and the shrieking sounds she was making. We were at a standstill and convulsing with laughter on the trail. I was glad that no one else was around; they would have thought we were a couple of loons.

I yelled, "I am dying here."

"Me too." She hooted. We were so overcome with laughter at the time that even death seemed humorous.

Finally, Kat slapped me playfully on the back and said, "Give me a minute." She walked away and off the trail while her hands supported her aching tummy. My abs burned too, and I could hardly breathe. Away from each other, we recovered quickly. Upon returning to my side, she still appeared vulnerable, exactly like I felt. It wouldn't take much to ignite another round of laughter.

We had a setback when I deadpanned, "For the record, I'll mark down she is doing just fine!" Once more, that triggered her funny bone, and her reaction ignited my own outburst. We had several more bouts of guffaws until Kat's phone rang. It was her boyfriend calling from work.

I had never laughed that hard or for that long in my life. Kat seemed to have my number, and we barely knew each other. She also has a friendly, touchy-feely disposition I found delightful; maybe it had to do with her being a nurse. I believed she owned all the characteristics of a wonderful nurse. I already knew there was something very special about her. If she didn't have a boyfriend, I would have asked her for a date; unfortunately, she had a very big boyfriend.

I walked ahead; even so, I heard her arguing with him over the phone. Apparently, he was amped up about something. I caught very few words, only the gist of the conversation. I did hear her say, "Later." And then she ran up to join me.

More nosy than concerned, I asked, "Is everything ok?"

She seemed frustrated and shared, "My fiancé is the jealous type. When I told him that we were walking together, he became angry. It's ok for him to walk with other ladies on work breaks, but not for me to accompany you. I suppose some of it is my fault; he saw my lipstick on you last week."

I replied, "Sorry to hear that. I noticed some of it on my cheek after I got home. Finding your cat made you feel exuberant and a little giddy; that's all it was."

"I know; I attempted to convince him that those kisses were meaningless, but he refused to listen. Instead, he stormed out of the house and went to the bar."

"I see that you're wearing a rock; how long have you known him?"

"Dirk works at the same hospital I do as a therapist on the day shift. We met there five years ago, when he was working overtime on my shift. One thing led to another, and a year ago I invited him to move in with me. Since last Christmas when he proposed, we have been planning to get married; however, lately a few problems have been popping up."

I wanted to hear about the problems, yet I didn't want to appear too interested. "Well, better that you find out now than later." I commented.

Kat replied, "You're right, this jealousy thing is really bothering me, along with his increased alcohol intake."

I remarked, "That's a red flag you two need to work out. Will this walk be our first and last?"

She stared at me and responded, "No way, no one tells me what to do! Not that I am going to stick who I walk with in his face."

I smiled and said, "I am glad to hear that; it has been a lot of fun walking with you."

She reciprocated with a big grin, "I'll second that; you made me laugh like I can't remember when. We should plan to meet somewhere for our next walk." She took out her phone and asked, "What's your phone number and e-mail?"

After telling her, I said, "Would you message your info to me? I don't have my cell phone here."

"Sure."

We went on with a lively conversation; I learned more about Kat and vice versa. She has never been married but has had a string of boyfriends in her life; Dirk is just the latest and most special. I figured Kat is about 33 years old after she shared which local high school she had graduated from and the year. She is older than she looks and has been a registered nurse for over 10 years. Like me, she is a Wisconsin native. I was surprised at how interested she was to hear about my occupation. She seemed impressed and asked many questions.

Our walk was at a good pace, and with her enjoyable company, it ended far too quickly. She had an appointment with the vet to get her cat checked out, or I believed we would have walked longer. I said, "I'm searching for a trustworthy vet; where do you go?"

"Dr. John Hanson on 10th and Main. He is a wonderful young veterinarian!"

"I'll have to give him a try, thanks." We agreed to meet again the next day and said our goodbyes. I went to give Kat a knuckle knock, but instead I got another hug from her. Her show of affection made me feel even more appreciated as a new friend.

By the time I got home, she had already sent me a message with her info and asked for a 10am meet-up at a certain park bench by the creek. This was followed by, "My tummy is sore for some reason; I think you're to blame." and a laughing emoji.

I replied, "Lol, that sounds splendid; see you then. You're the instigator and guilty of first-degree assault of my abs." I also sent her a laughing emoji. In return, I got a LOL and two thumbs-up emojis. I was bedazzled by Kat, and I couldn't get her out of my mind.

Tuesday morning at 10, Kat was waiting for me on the park bench. "Good morning, Kat." I yelled this from behind her.

She jumped up with a huge smile and came over to where I was standing on the trail. She asserted, "My hero, good morning, Jeff." Her arms opened, and before I knew it, I felt a familiar hug and a couple of sweet kisses on my right cheek.

After that, Kat rapidly started to retreat; however, I had my arms around her and said, "Wait, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Aren't you going to let me give you a kiss on the cheek?" Gosh, she felt terrific in my arms.

Grinning Kat replied, "I suppose, as long as you're not wearing any lipstick." I snickered and wasted no time giving her silky right cheek two slightly longer kisses than she had given me. These were not merely pecks like yesterday; these were full-on, moist kisses. My lips enjoyed the soft texture of her skin, and she appeared to like it. She then rolled her eyes and commented, "Don't worry, I am not wearing any lipstick either." I chuckled back at her.

Walking along, I again marveled at her foxy appearance. Kat had on shorts and a tee shirt, much like yesterday, and her hair was in a ponytail. She was wearing very little makeup, if any. Somehow, she looked more attractive than ever. It probably had to do with my perception of her persona, which I found increasingly irresistible.

I had been thinking about yesterday's monumental laugh; it really loosened us up and forged a solid connection. I hoped to recreate those positive feelings somehow. I needed an icebreaker, something humorous to get us going on the right foot. Last time, it happened unintentionally, but today, my question was premeditated. After yesterday's experience, I assumed she would have a humorous comeback. Sporting a funny expression, I uttered, "I hesitate to ask, but how is your kitty looking?"

Kat appeared tickled and about to pop; she just stared at me. After a few seconds, she burst into laughter and exclaimed, "You have a lot of nerve, mister." There was her funny laugh again, and it is incredibly contagious.

"I know; I never learn." We laughed heartily, enjoying a sense of déjà vu.

Once we were about to get our laughing under control, Kat pretended to be sincere and spilled, "My handsome vet probed deeply into her condition, and the outcome made me feel great."

I responded with, "He did what?" She laughed again and lightly punched me on the shoulder several times.

In between finger-pointing and while still giggling, Kat said, "I got you! Yes, the vet did, but no, not what you were thinking; you should see your face." After that, she laughed so hard that tears started to form in her eyes. "I can't believe you thought that! You really need to chill out." I rolled my eyes, trying to suppress my own laughter, but the infectious hilarity of the moment was impossible to resist, and I was back in stitches too. "Actually, I think the man is gay." She said.

"Well, stranger things have happened." I responded with multiple chuckles, and we resumed our walk.

Out came her tongue at me. Followed by, "He isn't my type, but he is good with cats."

Still snickering, I declared, "One thing is for sure."

"Oh yeah, what?" I had piqued her curiosity.

"You are no Angel."

I was surprised when Kat said, "Oh tee-hee, very funny double entendre, man," and then slapped me on the butt, feigning hurt feelings. However, her bright smile was back in a couple of seconds, and that told me that I had hit the bullseye with my comment.

We were both feeling vibrant and in a teasing mood. I asked her, "So is Kat short for Katrina? I mean, you're such a force of nature; I get why they would have named a hurricane after you."

She laughed, smacked my butt again, and replied, "Is that supposed to be a compliment?"

"Ouch." Looking back at her with a cross-eyed stare, I said, "Of course, I am not feeling suicidal." I thought that she might slap my butt again, so I put my hands back there, but she just giggled.

After a few seconds, she shared, "I like to be called Kat. Kat is short for Katherine, and my middle name is Ann. What's your full name? It can't be Jefferson; you're too naughty to be that honored."

"Now you deserve a little swat."

She stuck her tongue out again and said, "You wouldn't dare!"

"Oh yeah." I gave her a playful slap on her right butt cheek. It landed with a crack on her soft sexy butt.

She yelled, "Owie." Yet she looked like she got exactly what she wanted. In Kat's mind, I had earned some respect in a good way.

"My full name is Jeffrey O. Nelsen."

"You only have a middle initial?"

"Well, no, but I don't like my middle name, so I just use an initial."

"Come on, Jeff, it can't be that bad. You can trust me; it'll be our secret."

"Alright, fine, it's Oak; laugh if you want to."

She giggled and said, "You mean like the tree?"

"Yes, my dad liked trees, my brother's middle name is Ash, and my sister's is Willow."

I am sorry that I laughed. Actually, I like it; it's unique, and oak trees are majestic and impressive. Really, you should be proud of your middle name."

"Well, thanks, but because it's different, I got teased a lot about it as a child. You know how kids are."

"Yes, I know how mean kids can be. Thanks for the trust!"

I gazed at her beautiful face and said, "I only told you because you're impossible to resist."

"Yeah, right." She replied. Still, my comment caused her to give me one of her megawatt smiles.

We covered many more topics and about 4 miles over the next hour. I discovered that her parents had relocated to Arizona, and she had a married older sister with two children who currently live near Chicago. She learned that my parents had passed away. I told her about my older brother and my younger sister, whom I had mentioned earlier. My brother is a confirmed bachelor who lives just south of Denver, and my sister lives outside of Milwaukee with her husband and three kids.

Kat also saw that my light brown hair was receding somewhat when my cap blew off. Even though I am sensitive about my moderate hair loss, I didn't sense any kind of negative reaction from her. The conversation continued to be enlightening and mixed with our usual positive humor.

Over the next several weeks, our two to three meetings a week were much the same. The walks were always enjoyable, entertaining, and good exercise. The scenery was even better, and I am not talking about picturesque landscapes. The conversations we shared were filled with laughter and stimulating discussions, making each meeting feel like a rejuvenating experience. Every time we walked, her lovely looks, feminine sounds, soft touches, and sweet smell delighted four of my senses. I hadn't experienced a real taste of her, but I was sure it would be delectable if ever I got the chance.

Kat comes from a very affectionate family, and it is part of her character to hug and kiss friends. Often, she hung her arm on my shoulder, slapped my back, poked my tummy, squeezed my arm, held my hand, and even touched the upper side of my leg. You might have thought that she was of Italian ancestry instead of having British roots. My ancestors all came from Norway over a century ago. I always found her actions endearing, if not sexy. Our friendship was strong and growing with each time we walked. She hadn't even mentioned her boyfriend lately.

One day we talked about our favorite sports. I found out that Kat likes to bowl. She had been bowling in a women's league on Thursday mornings for a couple of years. Hospital workers created the league for themselves and others working the evening shift. Typically, the league runs in the cooler months each year.

In late June it rained three days in a row; instead of canceling our rendezvous for a third time, I messaged Kat, "Would you like to go bowling, my treat?"

"Yes, but let's go Dutch."

"It's my idea; let me pay."

I had learned that Kat was a competitive woman, and she reinforced that belief when she typed, "How about if the loser pays? That would make me feel like I earned it when I beat you." The statement was accompanied by a smiling emoji.

"I hate to take your money, Kat, but if you insist, two thumbs up!" We agreed to meet at 10am at a nearby bowling alley. I hadn't bowled for months, and with only a 160 average, I wasn't so sure I could beat this lady. Sure, I wanted to win for bragging rights, although interacting with her in a brand-new setting would be my biggest thrill.

We greeted each other at the door of the bowling alley with a hug and a few simultaneous pecks on each other's cheeks. Kat expressed, "I am delighted that you recommended bowling; this is right up my alley. I love bowling."

Grinning, I replied, "You don't look like an alley Kat."

"Come on, wise guy, let's get the ball rolling. I am not going to spare you from the agony of defeat." With lighthearted banter, we persisted in joking around while using bowling jargon. We were definitely enjoying each other's company.

Both of us are righties, then I asked, "Are you a hooker? Not that I want to get too personal." Kat stared at me, and when I made a wry grimace, she broke out laughing, and I followed.

Smirking back, she remarked, "Are you trying to throw me off my game? You'll need to keep your mind and balls out of the gutter to beat me."

"No way, worry about your score; you can't frame me like that." We were having a grand old time teasing each other. From my perch, I also savored the views of her body movements as she bowled. I saw strong arm and leg muscles working together in perfect harmony, lovely breasts swaying like a couple of ripe coconuts in motion, and an alluring butt that appeared firm and taut, yet bubbly in a delightfully feminine way.

On one roll, she noticed my ball angling into the pocket and mentioned, "You look like the real hooker to me."

"No, no, I am curving the ball into the pocket, so there." I explained this to her with a forced sneer.

"Whatever, pinhead." Then she got serious, and it was a nip-and-tuck battle between us.

I yelled, "Come on." In the 7th frame, I had left the 3-10 baby split to pick up.

Kat proclaimed, "Now I got you."

I replied, "Don't get excited; I have balls to spare." Kat immediately burst out into a high-pitched, silly laugh that I'd heard before; it also caused me to lose it. Her crazy guffaw and funny facial expressions had me cracking up once again. I couldn't face the pins for at least ten minutes without breaking up anew. When I finally threw the ball, I missed both pins. That caused us to laugh even more.

I needed a first strike in the 10th frame for a chance to win; unfortunately, the 5 pin was left standing. Kat jumped up and down with her lovely boobs a bouncing. That titillating sight cushioned the loss for me and served as a delightful consolation prize. Even so, I yelled out in disapproval, "Damn it, no drive, no 5." The laughter had likely weakened me, preventing me from throwing the ball into the pocket with the necessary curving force to carry the five-pin. I made no outward excuses; I had lost to her, 156 to 149, in a fair and square match.

She beamed with pride and commented, "I won Mr. No Drive."

"Congratulations, Miss Alley Kat." I had plenty of drive to win her over, just not of the kind she was thinking of, or was her comment meant to be a romantic innuendo?"

The teasing continued; still, I had to admit Kat was a talented bowler, female or not. I barely won the 2nd game, 165 to 162.

The third game was close, and we both wanted to win. Dang if she didn't beat me 160 to 152, and she was thrilled. I had a newfound respect for her athletic abilities. We both enjoyed the morning and had a great time. Even though I lost, it was lots of fun being with her. As we parted, we hugged, and she wasn't shy about showcasing her victory, saying, "That's how I roll, Jeff."

I asked, "Can I get a rematch?"

"Anytime, you spare ball-a-holic, you."

Smiling at her reference, I replied, "You bowled me over alright." I knew that was true in more than one way. Her reference to spare balls, and especially the way she said it, implied a carnal connotation in reverse, or maybe I just hoped it was.

On our next walk, she rubbed it in some more when she said, "By the way, better luck next time, Mr. No. 5." I probably would have done the same thing if I had won.

In hindsight, Kat had to admit to herself that Jeff demonstrates excellent sportsmanship. Dirk always wins when we bowl, but had I beaten him, he would still be irritated. If I further teased him about losing to me in the same manner as I did Jeff, Dirk might not be able to handle it. That's food for thought!

Nothing sexual had happened in my mind until one day while we were walking on a Monday in early July, Kat said, "Can I ask you a personal favor?"

I said, "Sure, what is it?"

"Promise me you won't laugh."

"I promise."

Kat said, "I trust you as a true friend; even so, I feel strange and silly asking you this."

"Don't; come on. I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to ask whatever."

"Ok, ever since we met, I've been admiring your mustache. Anyway, I've never kissed a man with a mustache, and I have wondered what it would be like. Can I please kiss you once to try it?" That was a lie; Kat had kissed several men with mustaches in the past. She simply wanted to find out what it would be like to kiss Jeff. She planned to use this excuse to get an intimate kiss and keep her innocence regardless of how it went.

"Really, a genuine kiss on the lips," I said.

"Yes, I want to find out if it tickles; nothing more." However, there was a lot more to it in Kat's mind, and she was excited thinking about it.

I asked, "What about your boyfriend?" Since I hadn't heard much about her boyfriend for a while, I was curious about what was going on with him and whether he still held a significant place in her heart.

"He will never know unless you tell him." Kat bit her lip, a mischievous glint in her eye, as she pondered how far she could push the boundaries of their friendship without appearing to cross the line.

"Fat chance of that happening." I answered.

"I am still engaged; even so, the situation is no different than last New Year's Eve when I saw Dirk kissing other women at midnight in addition to me; to be honest, I was guilty of doing some of that too." Kat went on, "Besides, right now, I am not even seeing Dirk every day. A week ago, I asked him to move out. So, he is living at his parent's house for the time being."

"Did you get into a fight?"

"Yes, kind of, not a physical fight."

"Well, I hope he is more of a gentleman than that." I commented.

I heard her mumble, "He has his moments." And following that, she came clean and said, "Dirk hates Angel. I believe Angel never ran away at all. He tried to get rid of her by dropping her off on the other side of the creek. Call it a woman's intuition, although he won't admit to doing it. I am still wearing his ring, yet I need time away from him to think about our relationship and where it's going."

"That's heavy stuff, Kat. Sorry to hear about your problems with Dirk." Actually, the opposite was true; maybe I had a chance with her after all. She said nothing more about Dirk, only responding with a reassuring smile and a squeeze of my bicep. In that moment, I felt a spark of hope ignite within me, as if the weight of her troubles had lifted me up. It also told me she appreciated my words of solace but wanted to change the subject. Quickly, I shifted my thoughts back to the kiss she had requested and asked, "Do you still want to kiss my mustache?"

She smiled and said, "Not your mustache, silly."

Chuckling, I replied, "I know, I know; let's move off the trail, just in case someone comes by." Getting this opportunity to kiss her had me fired up with incredible enthusiasm and eagerness.

"Jeff, it's only going to be a quick kiss and nothing more."

"I know, but if you want to experience the full mustache effect, it will take more than a second or two."

She didn't argue; her eyes rolled as she followed me off the trail and remarked, "Is that right?" In truth, Kat could hardly wait to kiss him.

"Yep," I said, and behind a big ole Cottonwood tree, I laid a healthy kiss on Kat's lips. I suppose we were connected for a good 15 seconds before she backed away, longer than I had hoped for. Those lips of hers felt marvelous, so soft and moist. I was beginning to feel an expanding outgrowth in my shorts, so her ending it when she did probably saved me from embarrassing myself.

Taking in a deep breath, she exclaimed, "Wow, that was more than I bargained for." Better than I had imagined, she thought to herself.

"Are we ok?" I asked. I was slightly worried that she might be angry, since I did prolong it some. I knew my heart was thumping with excitement.

"I guess so." Kat looked stunned and a bit flustered. She felt scorching hot inside and a little worked up.

"Did you like the feeling of my mustache?"

"I think so, although I was preoccupied with those overly active lips of yours." What a kisser, she thought; he took my breath away.

I smiled and said, "We can try it again if you're not sure."

The story will continue in part two.

Her immaculate tease.
