The CP - Introduction

The CP is intended to be an anthology series, one that I will add new stories to periodically; probably one every few weeks. Each story will be stand-alone and have its own main characters, though some characters will appear in more than one story. The connective tissue is provided by a public pool, located in an East Coast college town.

The protagonists are people who work at the pool or visit it. While the stories will be erotic - and are planned to span a number of different Literotica categories - this introduction consists of solely non-erotic scene setting, which I have entrusted the central character to provide.

Call me Harry. Why? Well I always wanted to start a story like that. Oh, you mean 'why Harry?' gotcha! Well, mostly as it's my name. Harry Johnson, kinda unremarkable as names go, right? Save for one thing, my name is actually Harriet. So old school, huh?

And yes I'm named for that Harriet. Mom and Dad were both student activists, that's how they met, before they sold out - or rather, I should maybe say, before Mom got pregnant with me, and they both got respectable, professional jobs. The CP - Introduction фото

I know Harriet Tubman was an incredible and inspirational woman, but why did my parents have to pick that name? I'd have been happy with Harriet as a middle name, but what did I get instead? Something unpronounceable in Swahili. I don't speak Swahili, neither Mom nor Dad speaks Swahili. We don't even know what part of Africa our ancestors hailed from. Why? Just why?

Anyway, I don't mind Harry, it causes some confusion sometimes - admit it, you thought I was a guy at first, didn't you? - but it's more fun. It's more me. I'm talking a lot about myself, I know. I'm told I talk a lot in general. Harry the chatterbox, that's me. But this is an introduction, what am I meant to do?

I believe it is traditional to describe female characters in excruciating and intimate detail. Well I'm not going to do that. Here is just enough to give you an idea. I'm above average height, and athletic in build - Mom says I have sprinter's thighs - thanks Mom! Big reveal here: I'm a swimmer, I have swimmer's shoulders, and I exercise enough to be able to persist on my, frankly appalling, diet without ever seeming to put on an ounce. My hair is in cornrows, and I'm guessing I don't have to describe my skin color to you.

That's all you're getting. If you want more salacious particulars, then read some of the stories when they are published, OK? Oh, one more thing, I wear a platinum wedding band on the ring finger of my right hand. Why the right hand? Again, maybe read some of the forthcoming stories if you are curious.

Let's move onto my job (well one of my jobs) as it's pertinent to these stories. I'm Aquatics Director at the Marshall Recreation Department. What a grand title, isn't it? Save it isn't really. Part-time pool manager might be a more accurate description. And it's the Pool that these stories are all about. Marshall Community Pool, known as Marshall CP, or just the CP.

I wasn't born in Marshall, I'm from Point Breeze in Philly. But I did both my degrees at Marshall College, and I've been in Connecticut ever since. My proper job isn't at the University, it's at Marshall High School, where I teach science. But the CP is my passion. I look after the lifeguards, I am co-coach of our kids swim team, I run our summer programs. It's a lot of work, and a lot of fun.

As this series of stories is all about the CP, and the people who swim there, I'd better tell you a bit about the place. The pool is just off of 314 where it skirts the town in a wide bend. It's an open air pool, standing on a broadly triangular piece of land. An elementary school and its playing fields abut one side, a second is fringed by a public park. The complex includes changing rooms, a café, event rooms, reception, the lifeguard room, and various machinery, equipment, and maintenance areas.

The neighboring block houses the Recreation Department, where the Director, my boss, and his team work. There are various other municipal buildings in the same area, all surrounding a large parking lot, which forms the third and final boundary of the Pool.

The main pool is - of course - Olympic-sized, with a smaller, conjoined kids' pool, a separate diving area - complete with corkscrew slide - and a splash pad for toddlers. The perimeter is guarded either by a dense line of trees, or a metal fence with chicken wire and fake ivy covering it.

So maybe you are oriented now. A lot of things go on at CP. The lifeguards are mostly twelfth graders, and they get up to what you'd expect; well I know what I got up to as a high school senior anyway. A few of the older guards might feature in some of these stories, but we'll pretend that the seventeen-year-olds are all abstinent saints, just like I was... not! But there are other stories to tell: about the adult staff and coaches, about the patrons, about the college students, about the people who run the café, even about other members of the Recreation Department.

I hope that you will read some of them, and you might even see me appear in a few. Yeah, even thirty-somethings have a sex life sometimes.

Anyway, settle down and let's look forward to reading some stories about the Community Pool.
