A Surprising Development Ch. 21

Jackie was so excited and relieved to get home. She hurried to the door as her mother stood waiting. She hugged her, saying, "It is so good to be home!"

Her dad stood behind mom and when Jackie saw him, she hugged him too.

"How was the drive?" he asked.

"Long, Dad, very long," Jackie sighed. She was already dreading the ride back, for various reasons.

"Ok, I'll get your bags," her dad said, heading out the door.

Jackie sent texts to Kylie and Kelly saying she made it home. She then sent one to Wendy saying the same thing. She paused and sent her final one. It was to Hank. It was a little longer and little more personal. She sighed and hit send.

Three messages dinged her phone. She checked it and saw three answers. She also saw that the one to Hank was marked "read." That said it all.

At dinner, Jackie told her parents how everything was going great. Her grades, her work, and the number of new friends made it all worth it. It had been rough at times but the long haul was over. It was less the 5 weeks until Christmas.

"We are so glad it is working out for you," Mary said, "We worried about you."

"I think I had to do it. I had to get into the world by myself and see if I could stand on own two feet," Jackie explained. "Maybe just to prove to myself I could. Besides nobody knew me there so it was like a totally new start."A Surprising Development Ch. 21 фото

"You know, Jackie," Joe said, "We are very proud of you. It must be difficult at times and I'm not sure if we, I mean me, helped you. It took a while but you have done so much. As long as you are happy..."

Jackie got up and walked over to her parents who were sitting on the couch together. She spread her arms and hugged them. "I love you," she whispered.

Jackie was exhausted both mentally and physically. For the first time in days, she dropped off to sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. She awoke fresh and ready to go. When she walked into the kitchen, her mom was there.

"So sleepyhead, I though you were going to sleep the morning away. What would you like for breakfast." Her mom asked.

"Nothing, just some tea and a bagel."

"Nonsense, Jackie. You are home only a short time and I'm making you breakfast," Mary said turning around, "Now what do you want?"

"Ok, mom, two scrambled eggs and some hash. How about that?" Jackie replied.

"Good. Now sit down and relax. Let you mother wait on you."

"So what are your plans for this week, dear?" her mom asked, "Besides sleeping?"

Jackie smiled. "Nothing much, just hanging out here. I planned on stopping by the high school to see Miss Richmond but besides that, nothing much."

"Well, I have some good news. Your sister is going to her boyfriend's family for Thanksgiving so it was going to be you and us. Last Friday night, Kylie called us and invited us to her house on the Cape to spend Thanksgiving. I said yes. I didn't think you would mind."

"Wow, that sounds great. I wanted to spend Thanksgiving with you but somehow see Kelly. This works out great!" Jackie replied.

"When are you leaving to go back?' her mom asked.

"I thought Saturday morning early. That gives me a day to rest from the drive plus beat the traffic."

"Ok then how about this?" her mom suggested. "We'll drive down in separate cars on Thanksgiving. We'll drive home afterwards and you can stay. This gives you a full day with Kelly."

"Sounds like a plan, mom."

With Miss Richmond

Jackie checked her phone just to see if there was anything new. There was nothing. She decided she was just wasting her time.

She spent the morning with her mom, doing laundry and catching on the latest gossip. She wanted to tell her mom about Hank but was waiting for the right moment. Right now she was just enjoying her time with her.

"You have some beautiful under garments, Jackie," Mary said helping Jackie fold her laundry.

"I like them. I love the feel," Jackie explained, "And it makes me feel more feminine. I think I've spent more money on them than my outerwear!" She laughed.

Her mom joined in. "I know what you mean. Lately I've been wearing something more than just my granny panties!" She peeled down her waistband to reveal the top of a pair of black lacy panties.

"Wow, mom, that's pretty daring for you," Jackie exclaimed.

"Your dad likes them too." She put her hand to her mouth and blushed. "Sorry!"

"No, mom, I think that's great!" Jackie gave her mom a quick hug.

They had a small lunch and between bites, her mom told her some interesting gossip.

"Remember Aunt Adele?"

"How can I forget," Jackie smiled thinking back to the Thanksgiving her dad threw holier than thou Aunt Adele out.

"Well, it seem old Uncle Bob has been having an affair with his secretary," Mom said.

"I didn't know he had it in him," Jackie said, "I guess still waters run deep."

"Yes, it gets better," Mary continued, "So she filed for divorce. Uncle Bob hired a private detective and found out Adele was having numerous rendezvous with younger men, like the pool boy. It's pretty nasty."

"That's amazing, mom. I guess people in glass houses."

"That's right," her mom answered, "She is your dad's sister but between you and me, I never did like her."

"That's ok, I didn't either and besides, Robbie is a perv. He's creepy."

As they cleaned up, Jackie told her mom she was going to go to the high school and see if she could meet up with Miss Richmond. She explained they might go out for dinner so she shouldn't plan on her being home for it. She gave her mom a quick kiss and left.

Miss Richmond

Jackie was hoping that Ginny was still at school. If she read the school calendar right, classes were in session today and tomorrow. If Ginny was still there, they could catch up on old times. She hadn't seen her in quite awhile so there would be lots to talk about.

After checking in at the office and getting a visitor's pass, she headed down the hallway. She noticed the reaction of the secretary as Jackie told her who she was. Word travels fast in a small town.

The hallway brought back memories, some good, and some bad. It was a confusing time for her. All she really wanted to do was just be unseen, blend into the crowd, and disappear. Ginny helped by giving her some purpose with the History Club. Jackie was sure it was planned but it got her through school.

Seeing the door was open, Jackie gently knocked on it and looked in. Miss Richmond was standing before her classes, going over some directions. Miss Richmond glanced over.

"Jackie!" she exclaimed, "This is a pleasant surprise. Come in, come in." She motioned to Jackie.

Turning to the class, she introduced Jackie. "Class, this one of my top students. She is a History major at college, senior and is doing quite well." She turned back to Jackie. "Since this is Honors History and all seniors, perhaps you can enlighten them about college and what a History major can mean to them."

Jackie wasn't prepared for this but decided to give it a try. She took a deep breath and began. She gave them some background and told them about some of the opportunities she had.

Finishing, Miss Richmond asked if they had any questions. A bright looking blonde in the back of the room spoke up. "Do you have advice for us?"

Jackie laughed. "Sure, I can think of three things," she began. "Get yourself a calendar, one with big spaces you can write in. You won't get daily reminders like you get now from Miss Richmond. They won't be on the board, like those." She pointed to ones written on the board. "It is up to you to stay on top of your assignments and make a plan. Second, reach out to your professors. Make connects. Get a favorite one, two is better. My two History professors helped me get my internship in Williamsburg. If you need help, it is up to you to reach out for it. Third, get involved. Join clubs, make study groups, expand your horizons, and make friends." She looked at the girl who asked the question. "Does that help?"

The bell rang before she could answer.

Miss Richmond followed the students to the door, saying good-bye as they left. She shut the door and walked back to Jackie. She threw her arms around Jackie and kissed her hard on the lips. The kiss caught Jackie by surprise and she leaned back against the desk.

"Damn, I missed you," Ginny sighed, stepping back.

"I missed you too," Jackie replied.

Ginny gathered up her things. "Look, I have to do a few things and then I'll meet you in the parking lot. We could grab a quick bite to eat and talk over old times. What do you say?"

Jackie nodded, "Ok, I'll meet you there."

Ginny quickly kissed her again. "I won't be long!"

Jackie followed Ginny to her house. It wasn't a long drive and it took only a few minutes. Both girls went inside.

"I'm going to change," Ginny said headed for the bedroom, "If you want anything to drink, check in the fridge. I'll be right back."

"Don't bother. You look fine!" Jackie shouted after her. Jackie was not dressed up. She had on a pair of black yoga pants and her W&M hoodie. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail. She wore just a hint of make-up, a pair of diamond stud earrings, and her bobble necklace. She always wore that.

She continued to wear the bracelet Hank gave her even though she couldn't say why. Maybe it was for hope.

Ginny returned from the bedroom. "How's this?" She was wearing a long sleeve blouse, untucked, and a pair of skinny jeans. It was the first Jackie had ever seen her wear tight jeans. Even though the blouse was long, it still was a different look.

'You look great. So where are we going?" Jackie asked.

"I thought that little steak house the next town over ought to do it. What do you think?

"Sounds good," Jackie answered.

Over a good steak and a glass of wine, the two girls caught up what had happened to them since they last met. Jackie gave Ginny all the details about her time in Williamsburg and how much she was enjoying the experience. Ginny told her about this school year and how the club and the trip were coming along.

"You know I haven't been able to find another president like you." She reached over and took Jackie's hand. The gesture meant much more than the words. "Anyway I'm sure it will work out."

As they finished the meal, Ginny spoke up. "One more thing, you know that guy I told you about, Brad. Things have gotten pretty serious and though we haven't officially announced it, we are going to get married in the spring."

"That's fantastic, Ginny!" Jackie gushed, "I am so happy for you! Where's your ring?"

"Well, you know Brad was married before and he has three older children. The middle one isn't on totally on board yet so we are going to wait," Ginny explained.

Jackie frowned. "I hope it soon. You deserve it."

"Thanks, there is one more thing," Ginny said, "I would like you to be my bridesmaid. My sister had agreed to be the maid of honor and there is only one bridesmaid. So?"

"So? Of course I'll do it. We need to celebrate."

"Yes, we do but not here. I thought we could back to my place." There was some hesitation in Ginny's voice.

"Sure," Jackie said cheerfully, "Let's go!"

"Make yourself at home," Ginny said, heading to the kitchen, "I'll get some wine."

Jackie peeled off her hoodie. Underneath she was wearing a thin cotton shirt with spaghetti straps, more of an undershirt than shirt. She also wasn't wearing a bra. She didn't plan on stopping at Ginny's house so she didn't think about what she was wearing.

Ginny returned with two glasses and a bottle. She stopped when she saw Jackie on the couch. "Well, ok," she said, setting the items down, "I'll be right back."

She returned wearing a t-shirt and no bra and found Jackie had already poured the wine. "What should we drink to?" she asked.

"To you, it seems at long last you have finally found love," Jackie replied. They clinked their glasses and took a drink.

"Or something like it," Ginny added.

Jackie gave Ginny a puzzling look.

"And I have you to thank," Ginny continued.

"What did I do?" Jackie inquired.

"You made me accept who I was. No judgment."

"You're kidding, aren't you?" Jackie laughed, "From the first time I walked into your class, I thought you were the hottest thing. Yes, I was hot for teacher but it was more than that. You are the reason I am where I am right now, in so many ways."

"How so?" Ginny asked as she moved closer on the couch, their knees touching.

"My love of history, you really opened my eyes to that," Jackie said and then paused.

"And?" Ginny asked with a quizzical look.

Jackie sighed. "That winter night during Christmas break, I don't think I have ever been that low. My parents found out I was wearing women's clothing. My dad threw me out of the house. I met you at the basketball game and you invited here. That night you saved me."

"Oh my God, Jackie!" Ginny gasped, "I remember that night. We made love all night and into the next day because of the snow. It was you who saved me! When I was naked with you, you didn't judge me, you know, down there."

Jackie set her glass down. "Judge you? Everything about you is beautiful. You're perfect to me. You had a lot more to judge about me and you didn't. You could have laughed."

Ginny leaned back and smiled. "I would never do that. And look at you now. My God, it is you that is beautiful. As a matter of fact, I'm a little jealous."

"Jealous of me? In what way?"

Ginny reached over and cupped Jackie's breasts. "These! They look magnificent and they feel remarkable." She jiggled them. "C cup?"

Jackie blushed. "Almost a D, they gotten a little fuller since they upped my estrogen dose."

Ginny laughed and pulled her shirt over her head. She revealed her breasts. "Good old B cups!" Then surprising Jackie, she reached over and pulled Jackie's shirt over her head. Her two firm, full breasts came into full view.

They looked at each other and awkwardly smiled. They both knew what was going to happen but hesitated. They leaned forward and placing a hand along the side of the others face, they kissed.

It was a soft gentle kiss at first. When Jackie parted her lips, Ginny pushed her tongue inside her mouth. The touching of their tongues ignited the passion. The hands moved over the others breasts, cupping them, fondling them, and pulling on the nipples. Ginny broke the kiss and began sucking on Jackie's breast, sucking the erect nipple into her mouth and gently biting it. Jackie arched her back and moaned softly.

She slid her hands along Ginny's back and reached around her. Jackie undid the snap on Ginny's jeans and unzipped them. She began to wiggle them off her.

Ginny lifted her head off of Jackie's breast and then stood up. Without a word she offered Jackie her hand. Jackie took it and followed her up the stairs to the bedroom.

Still without saying a word, both girls removed their clothing. Jackie's cock was fully erect and her balls were up tight, snuggled beneath it. A small drop of pre-cum appeared on the tip.

Ginny pushed Jackie onto the bed with Jackie's head on the pillow. She straddled Jackie with both knees aside her face. Before she lowered herself, Ginny took Jackie's hard cock into her hand. She began to stroke it slowly with rolling the balls in her hand.

"Oh fuck," Jackie sighed.

Jackie looked up. Directly above her face was Ginny's pussy. It was swollen and a deep crimson. The thick loose lips glistened from her wetness. A large, erect clit poked between the folds. She placed her hands on Ginny's ass and pushed, pressuring Ginny to lower herself on her face.

As Ginny slowly lowered her pussy onto Jackie's face, she took Jackie's cock into her mouth. She swirled her tongue around the tip, tasting the pre-cum and then descended down the shaft.

Though there was a sense of urgency between the girls, neither hurried the actions. Both sought to give the other the ultimate in sensations, teasing, edging, and bringing each one closer to release. Without saying a word they knew what the other wanted.

Ginny had numerous lovers, both male and female, but never had any of them made her feel as she did with Jackie. Her pussy turned off a few. One went as far as to call her a freak but not with Jackie. With Jackie, Ginny was able to give all of herself, something she never thought possible.

Right now she was in heaven as Jackie's mouth sent waves of ecstasy through her. It wasn't enough though. She rolled off and onto her back. Spreading her legs wide, she said softly, "I want you in me."

Jackie moved between Ginny's legs and effortlessly slid her cock into the wet pussy. She began to move when Ginny placed both hands on her ass. "No, don't move, I just want to feel you."

Jackie could feel Ginny's pussy grip her cock. It was sending ripples of pleasure up and down her shaft. It was better than anything she ever felt in a long while. Slowly Ginny moved her hips, encouraging Jackie to move with her.

Again they moved their bodies in synch, slowly increasing the motion. When Ginny lifted her legs, Jackie hooked them with her arms, allowing her to go deeper.

There were no screams of ecstasy, no crying out. Quiet moans and whimpers filled the room. They looked directly into each other's eyes, locking onto them.

It had almost 4 months since Jackie had sex. Yet tonight there was no frenzy, no frantic urging for release. Instead it built up slowly but steadily growing stronger until she moaned, "I'm going to cum, babe."

Ginny wrapped her arms around her. "That's it, cum for me, baby. Fill my pussy!" she begged.

Jackie's body stiffened and she began to cum, pumping her sperm into Ginny. "Oh God!" she groaned.

The sight, the sound, and feel of Jackie cumming pushed Ginny over the edge. She came, holding onto Jackie tightly.

The two girls lay quietly, side by side, recovering. Neither said a word as they did. As they did, Jackie thought about what just occurred. There was something different about this orgasm. It was great but different. She couldn't really describe how it felt. It was deeper, fuller, more satisfying in some way. As she thought about it, it was always this way with Ginny.

"You ok?" Ginny asked.

"Oh yes. You?"

"Never better," Ginny said, flipping onto her stomach. She began to twirl her finger around Jackie's nipple. "Have you ever thought how things might have been different?"

Jackie remembered her conversation with Hank. "Do you mean a different time, a different place?"

Ginny pushed up on her elbows. "No, not like that. Take you and I. If we hadn't met or if we met under different circumstances."

Jackie slid up on the pillows. "You mean if I wasn't your student and you weren't my teacher?"

"Sort of." Ginny's hand slipped between Jackie's legs. She found her cock, semi-hard and wet from their cum. She began to stroke it causing Jackie to suck in some air. "More like if you stayed that extra night at Christmas."

"What are you saying, Ginny? You and me together?"

"I don't know." She climbed on top of Jackie and straddled her. Reaching down, she positioned Jackie's now erect cock at her pussy and sat down. It slid in easily. "I just feel something so special between us. I can't explain it. Right now with you in me, I feel so connection, like one. When I came, it was like something so good. It was a total orgasm, so satisfying."

Jackie smiled. Ginny described exactly how she felt too. "So what do we do about?"

"I don't know," Ginny said beginning to rock back and forth. "Try for another one?"

Thanksgiving at Kelly's

Jackie kept herself busy for the next two day, running errands and just hanging out with her parents. She did check her messages, hoping to see something from Hank but was nothing. Without sending any messages, he was sending a clear message.

When she had free time, she kept thinking about Ginny. It was clear from their time together they had some special connection but what did it mean? She couldn't really make heads or tails of it. All she knew that their lovemaking had taken them to a whole new level. It wasn't mind-blowing toe curling sex. It was much deeper, almost soul deep, and oh so satisfying.

Surprisingly the two things that should have been on her mind were not. That night she told Hank everything, she confessed to being Jack Morgan. That meant her records, her transcripts; everything was under Jack's name. If he wanted to, he could march right into the registrar's office and blow the whistle on her, ending career, her schooling, basically her life. It was a possibility but she believed he wouldn't do that. She felt he wasn't that type of man.

And then there was Kelly.

Jackie knew there would be lots to talk about and it needed to be a serious talk. She had a gut feeling about Kelly as if Kelly had as much to talk about as she did. They both knew that this would be a test but it felt as Jackie was the one who didn't realize how hard it would be. Was it that difficult for Kelly? Was Jackie the only one that couldn't pass it? Those were just some of the questions that needed to be answered.

Thanksgiving dinner with Kylie, Angie, and Kelly was great. With her mom and dad there, Jackie felt like it was a dinner with her extended family. There was the typical meal of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and as a salute to New England, baked beans. White wine topped it off but Kylie made sure to have beer for Jackie's dad.

"Jackie told me you like Miller, Joe," Kylie said as she poured him a cold one.

Her dad really liked Kylie and that by itself was an indication of how much her dad had changed. Four years ago he would have flipped at two lesbians being married and raising a child. Now it was no problem. Jackie did wonder what he might say if he knew the whole story about Kylie. She had a funny feeling he would be okay with it.

After dinner the girls sat around the table and talked. Jackie was so happy to see her mom truly enjoying herself. She was laughing and joining in, telling stories and just having a good time. Her dad didn't stick around but retreated to the den to watch the football game. It wasn't long until Jackie joined him there.

"Everything ok, Jackie?" he asked.

She could have told him about Hank and the possible mess she made of things, but she didn't. He would only get upset over it and besides there was nothing he could do about it. It had to play out on its own.

"No, Daddy, everything is great," she replied. As she said it, she realized it wasn't a lie. She could hear her mom laughing upstairs and she was sitting here watching football with her dad.

"Do you believe that call, girlie?" her dad shouted, "That wasn't PI!"

Jackie stood in the driveway with her parents as they began to leave.

"What day are you heading back?" her dad asked.

"Saturday, early," Jackie replied.

"You text us when you leave. I don't care what the time is." Joe insisted, "Text or phone us when you stop too."

"I will, Daddy, and when I land," Jackie said giving him a hug. "It won't be long this time, 4, 5 weeks, and I'll be home."

"We are so proud of you, Jackie," her mom told her, "We really are."

"Thanks, mom," Jackie said as she hugged her mom, "Love you!"

"Now you drive safe," her dad added.

"You too and you better let me know when you get home!" This time it was Jackie who insisted. "Love you!"

She waved as they pulled away.

"So what's are the plans for tomorrow?" Jackie asked.

"Shopping, bright and early," Angie said as she filled Jackie's glass. "Might as well finish the bottle." She filled everyone's glass.

"Yes, Carrie is coming too," Kylie added, "I said she could come spend the night but she said no. She did say she'd be here early."

The girls continued to talk until Angie stood up. "It's late and if we are getting up early I think it time we hit the sack."

Kelly looked over at Jackie. "You coming?"

Jackie glanced over at Kylie. "I'll be up in a few."

"Ok, don't be long." Kelly leaned over and kissed Jackie goodnight.

When the two girls had left, Kylie looked at Jackie. "Ok, what's the matter? What do you want to talk about?"

"How did you know?" Jackie said surprised.

"Little things. Now tell me."

Jackie took a deep breath. "I may have really screwed up this time."

"It can't be that bad," Kylie replied.

"Wait to you hear this," Jackie began, "I met this professor, Dr. Taylor, Hank. He's in charge of my program. We really hit it off. We have a lot in common. His daughter is in one of my classes and we became good friends. Pretty soon we were meeting for lunch to discuss things. Then on Thursday afternoon he took me on visits to historical sites, which ended up as suppers. Every Sunday I had dinner at his house. It was to have a study group with his daughter and her friends but that just became an excuse."

"I see," said Kylie, "And?"

"I really began to like him in a different way, if you know what I mean," Jackie continued, "Then he asked me to attend a rather special dinner with him so I got all dressed up for it."

"How dressed up?" Kylie inquired, her curiosity piqued.

Jackie took out her phone and showed her a picture of the two of them together, Hank in his suit, Jackie in her little black dress.

"Wow!" was all Kylie could say at first. "I must say you look," she paused, "Fantastic!"

"Exactly!" Jackie replied, "Let's say things progressed from there."

Kylie gasped, "You didn't, did you?"

Jackie gave her a weak smile. "No," she said, "Things were definitely heading in that direction so before they went any further, last Thursday, I told him about me."

"Everything?" Kylie reached over to take Jackie's hand.

"Enough for him to know who I was," Jackie confessed.

"And how did he take it?" Kylie quickly asked.

"Not well but now that he knows, I'm worried he might go to the school, to Williamsburg and out me. It would ruin everything, my schooling, my career." She sighed. "My life."

For once Kylie didn't know what to say to Jackie. "It's not that bad" seemed very weak at this time. She thought for a moment and then said, "Is he that type of man? It sounded like you trusted him enough to tell him. Do you think that he would do that to you? Hurt you?"

Jackie shrugged, "I don't know. I don't think he would. Besides that, I failed the test."

"The test? What test?"

"The test if Kelly and I could handle being apart for so long," Jackie said softly. "I failed miserably."

Kylie stood up. "Wait right here, I'll be right back."

Kylie led Kelly to the table. "Why don't you have a seat," she said pulling out a chair.

Kelly, wrapping her robe around her, sat down.

"Now, Kelly, why don't you tell Jackie about your little test?"

Kelly squirmed in her seat. "Now?"

"I think this is as good as time as ever. Tell her what you told me," Kylie said in a firm voice.

"Ok." She turned towards Jackie. "Remember we talked about how hard it might be to be apart for so long and it would be test? Well," she paused and looked at her mother who nodded. "I'm so sorry but you know my teaching partner, Matt Olsen?"

"Yes," Jackie said, having an idea where this was going.

"I slept with him!" The words came pouring out. "We went out with a group of teachers. We were drinking a lot. Then we decided we should go to his place and work on our project. We were too drunk to do that and one thing led to another. I'm so sorry but we were drunk."

Jackie smiled and shook her head. "That's just an excuse, Kel," she said, "I know you. You're calm and collected. You never do anything on a whim. Deep down, you must have wanted to sleep with him. The alcohol gave you the excuse. I understand. It's like me blaming the estrogen for wanting a man to want me."

"You mean..."Kelly said.

"No, I didn't sleep with a man but I can't say I didn't want to," Jackie confessed, "And if it wasn't for certain difficulties, I would have by now. Perhaps we are both looking for something different. Who knows?"

"Really?" Kelly said with tear filled eyes, "I feel terrible about what I did. Right mom?" Kelly looked at Kylie. "I thought we had something special between us and I fucked it up royally."

"Stop bashing yourself, Kel." Jackie took Kelly's hands. "I'm pretty sure if after I told this guy I was once a man and he accepted it, I would be telling you the same thing."

"You told him everything?" Kelly gasped. "What did he do?"

"He told me I was a liar and told me to take off my pants to prove it!"

"What did you do?" Kelly asked.

"I threw him out of the condo," Jackie answered.

"So now what do we do?" Kelly wanted to know.

"I don't know. I talked with you on the phone and it sounded like you kind of liked this guy, Matt. I'll be honest with you; I kind of like this guy too. There is only five more weeks for me to be done."

"Four more for me," Kelly added.

"Ok then, let's see how it goes. A second test?"

"Ok but one more question," Kelly said, "Do you still want to sleep with me?"

Jackie stood up and extended her hand. "Of course and it's late. We have an early morning tomorrow."

"You mean today," Kylie said standing up.

Thanksgiving with Hank

Hank and his daughter, Wendy, were having Thanksgiving at his sister's house. Now because her house was bigger, it was easier for her to cook such a large dinner. Before she passed, Hank's wife and Missy would rotate the dinners, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now both were held at Missy's.

As they were driving there, Hank noticed Wendy texting someone. "Who are you talking to?" he asked.

"Jackie," Wendy replied, "She is wishing us a Happy Thanksgiving. I was just texting her back."

"Oh," Hank said with a non-committed shrug.

"I asked her when she was coming back." Her phone dinged.

"She said she be back on Saturday. I'm going to make sure she comes to dinner Sunday. Our study group needs to get ready for finals." Wendy paused and she looked at her father. "If that is alright with you."

Wendy couldn't put her finger on it but she felt something wasn't quite right between her dad and Jackie.

"That's fine." Again his answer was without feeling.

Hank's whole family was in attendance. His two parents, Mike and Grace: Grace's brother, Charlie and his wife plus Missy, her husband Frank, and her two children; Sarah who was a senior in high school and Frank Jr., who was a sophomore. Everyone got along with no problems or heated debates. It was genuine caring family.

"Hey, Hank, where is that nice young lady I met at your birthday party?" Uncle Charlie asked as they headed to the table.

"She is back home with her family," was Hank's short answer.

"Oh, one of your students. I didn't know," Charlie said sitting down. "I bet she is not like all your students. She was bright and very mature. I enjoyed talking to her. From up North right?"

"She's from New Hampshire and no, she's not like my other students," Hank replied.

"She is helping me with my classes, Uncle Charlie," Wendy chimed in. "She's amazing."

Much to Hank's relief, Charlie turned to Wendy. "So you'll see her again?"

The two continued talking giving Hank time to find his seat at the table and sit down.

The dinner was great. In addition to the turkey, Missy prepared the Virginia part of the Thanksgiving tradition, ham and candied yams. By dinner's end there wasn't much left for people to take home.

"I hope everyone saved room for my pies," Grace announced.

Everyone groaned then laughed.

"Give us time to clear the table," Missy said standing up. "Afterwards pie and some coffee."

"Hey, Bro, what's the matter?" Missy asked finding Hank sitting all alone in the den.

"Nothing," he said quickly.

"Then why aren't you upstairs watching football with the rest of the guys?"

"Not interested," he replied.

"Oh so you are just in a bad mood, right?" Missy sat down next to him. "Is there a problem between you and your girl friend?"

Hank jumped up. "She's not my girlfriend," he snapped. "And there is no problem between us. Ok?"

Missy threw her hands up. "Ok but I think you're lying and so does your daughter."

"What did she tell you?" Hank demanded to know.

"Don't get mad at her," Missy said back at him. "She is concerned, that's all. She told me you went out with Jackie last Thursday and came home in a foul mood. She said you have been moody since then. What happen? You know you can talk to me."

Hank began to pace. "I know I shouldn't get involved with a student. It's wrong but Jackie is different. Only I didn't know how different."

"Different? In what way?" Missy asked.

"You're not going to believe this. I didn't." Hank stopped in front of her. "Jackie isn't a woman. She is a guy named Jack Morgan. She transitioned."

"Excuse me?" Missy said stunned by what Hank just told her.

"I didn't believe her either when she told me Thursday night. I called her a liar. No man could ever look or act like her. I said she was making it up to break up with me. Then I got mad and said something I still regret."

"Oh no, Hank, what did you say?" Missy asked anxiously.

"I said if she was a man then to take off her pants and prove it. I know now it was wrong," Hank began to pace again.

"You didn't? How could you?"

"I was angry," Hank confessed, "And hurt too. She lied to me. Played me."

Missy got up and put her hands on his shoulders to stop him from pacing. "What did she say to you?"

"She told me to get the fuck out!"

"No, before that. How did she tell you?" Missy asked.

Hank thought for a moment and tried to remember. "She said she really liked me and I deserved to know the truth. It seemed really hard for her to tell me but thinking back, she must have been telling me the truth."

"So she felt she had to tell you this about herself, with only 4 or 5 weeks to go and then she would be back in New Hampshire?" Missy said looking directly at her brother. "Why do you think she did that?"

Hank was embarrassed to admit what he said next. He sighed. "Because our friendship was developing into something more." He paused. "Something more intimate, more physical."

"Exactly, but I think it may have been something more," Missy began, "I think Jackie trusted you with her deepest secret. I'm not sure many people know it. Also I think it was something more than physical. I think it was more than she really likes you, Hank. And you know something else, I think you were starting to feel the same way about her."

"Wow," Hank said sitting down, "I never took the time to think about it that way. So now what do I do?"

Missy sat down next to him and took his hand. "About what?"

"I mean she's lying, she's not who she says she is. Everyone thinks she a woman. She is doing all this under false pretenses." Hank explained. "I have to report it."

It was Missy's turn to get angry. "Are you kidding me? You are going to report her? What is wrong with you? It is obvious she cares for you. This girl felt that she could trust you and you want to destroy her life! What the fuck, Hank! You have no idea what she may have gone through to get this far. Everyone who has met her thinks she is wonderful. For Christ's sake, even Uncle Charlie does and mom loves her, not to mention your daughter!" Missy was getting angrier. She stood up. "You do what you think right but if you report her, we are done. You'll still be my brother but we are done. I thought I knew you!" With that, she turned and left the room. Before she left Missy turned around.

"I have one more thing to say. Like everyone else, you like her, maybe a just a little more than others. You are mad because that's true, isn't it?" She waved her hand. "Do what you have to do! I'm done." She stormed out of the room.

Leaving for Williamsburg

Jackie had a great day shopping with the girls. It was just what she needed, A Girls' Day Out! They left early to get to the outlets just as they opened but it was still jammed. Fighting the crowds, Jackie still found some good deals. She bought some black tights to wear this winter, two wool plaid skirts, and different plaids of course, and two v-neck sweaters to go with them. She also bought a cute pair of red pumps to wear.

No shopping spree would be complete without some new frilly under things. She got some new panties, cotton ones too, and three chemises. After being dressed all day as an 18th Century woman she was beginning to feel that her bras were uncomfortable so she was trying something different. She found that wearing just a cotton undershirt felt good but it was a little too revealing.

The other girls did just as well and they filled the back of Kylie's hatchback with bags.

At lunch, it was more of the same, free and easy, relaxing. It was days like this that made Jackie feel good about herself. She forgot her worries and had a great day.

The two nights Kelly and Jackie slept together were nights without sex. They cuddled and held each other close but that was as far as it went. If asked, neither of them would be able to explain why. It was as if somehow they were trying to rebuild their trust of each. Maybe it was because they both felt they let the other down.

When Jackie left, it was still dark. There was a frost in the air signaling the coming of winter. In a way, Jackie was happy to be headed south. Cold there was nothing like the cold here.

"Look, sweetie," Kelly said leaning in the car window. "It is only about 5 weeks until you're back and I'm done student teaching. We can get back to our routine."

"Yes, Kel, it won't be that long," Jackie answered, backing out of the driveway. "It might feel that way," she thought.

Williamsburg

Jackie was happy to reach her condo. She thought by leaving on Saturday she might beat the traffic and maybe she did. She couldn't tell. There was an accident on the Jersey Turnpike and another one outside Baltimore. The ride usually about 12 hours took 14 this time but it seemed longer.

She brought groceries from home this time so she didn't have to rush out. She settled in and changed into comfortable clothing. She opened her computer to check her email and as she did, her phone dinged. It was from Wendy.

"Did you land yet?"

Jackie replied, "Yes."

"Long ride?"

Again Jackie answered, "Yes."

"You are coming over for dinner tomorrow, right? We need to study."

Jackie paused before she answered. She wasn't sure she should come over but she couldn't let Wendy and the others down. "Sure. Same time?"

"Great! See you then."

Jackie stared at her phone. Putting it off didn't make it go away. She had to face Hank some time; it might as well be tomorrow.

Sunday morning found Jackie lounging in bed. She was naked as that was the usual way she slept. She made her morning cup of tea and returned to bed to check on what she needed to do this week. With semester's end coming fast, she needed to make sure everything was done on time. Jensen's archeology class required only a short paper, which she finished last week. She only needed to proof read it. It was the same with Dr. Martin. The historical documents class was an exam but she couldn't study for it. That wasn't a problem as the exam was going to be two original documents to be analyzed. No worries there. Dr. Moon's class was the only one with a real final and that was why Wendy was worried about it.

That only left Hank's class. Up until last week the final paper didn't appear to be a problem. Now she wasn't so sure. She had her topic and had fully discussed it with him. Now? She was positive he would grade it fairly, right?

She rolled onto her back and stretched. The warm morning sun felt good on her body. She ran her hands over it and she sighed. She was always amazed on just how smooth and soft her skin felt. She held her breasts in her hands. They felt full. She was proud of them, as they were hers, not fake or added to. She smiled. She had no reason to be ashamed of her body.

The day would be cooler that what was expected for this part of Virginia and Jackie welcomed it. At home, it would be a typical fall day, one where the air was crisp and invigorating, apple cider and donuts. Unfortunately that meant really cold weather was lurking and she would be home for that. She was only here for about 5 weeks and then she would be gone.

As she finished up one paper, she took a break. She had made a number of friends both at the college and at the village. She smiled when she thought of her neighbors, Amber and Tiffany. They definitely enjoyed their time at college but were able to pull off both that and getting good grades. There had been a few times when the three of them just sat and talked over a glass of wine. The two had given up on showing the nightlife to Jackie. Also they had given up on getting Jackie to join them in their bed.

"I have to say one thing about you," Tiffany said one night, "I figured you wrong. I had you pegged as someone who enjoyed time with the ladies, if you know what I mean. Instead we found you hitting on the older generation."

"Yes, just who is that handsome gent with the Beemer?" Amber asked. "Your sugar daddy?"

"No," Jackie replied, thinking quickly, "He is just a friend of the family, my dad's friend, just keeping an eye on me."

Tiffany and Amber looked at each other and nodded. "Is that why he stays late some nights? Making sure you're safe?" Tiffany asked with a smile.

"Just tucking you in for the night?" Amber laughed.

Jackie blushed. "Something like that!"

Sunday Dinner

Jackie decided to go a little extra for tonight's dinner. She wasn't sure why she chose to do this. Maybe to impress Hank? Maybe to show him who she really was? Maybe to say she was worried about his reaction? She didn't know why but she wore her new plaid skirt, black tights, and the new black v-neck sweater. She also decided against wearing a bra tonight and she wore one of her new chemise. She took her time with her make-up too. Not too much, just a hint. She finished it up with diamond stud earrings and her new red shoes. She looked in the mirror. "Good to go." She said out loud.

"Jackie!" Wendy greeted her at the door. "Are you ready to study?" Kailey and Cindy standing behind laughed.

"Hey give me a chance to get in!" Jackie said with a smile. She stepped into hall and stopped. Standing behind the girls was Hank.

"Girls, give her a break," he said. Looking directly at Jackie, he smiled. "I'm glad you could make it, Jackie. Pretty informal tonight. We having pizza delivered. I hope you like pepperoni."

"That's ok, I haven't had Virginia pizza before," she replied.

Hank laughed. "It's from a local Italian place. We like it. How was your Thanksgiving?"

"It was great. I got to hang out with my parents and we had Thanksgiving dinner with my girlfriend's family on the Cape. You?" Jackie asked.

"We had dinner at my sister's. The whole family was there. They said to say hello to you."

There was an awkward silence between them. Hank cleared his throat. "You are looking good. New skirt?"

"Damn," he thought, "Too good!

"Thank you. I bought it in one of those Black Friday deals."

"Well, it looks very nice," Hank mumbled. Before he could say anything more, the pizzas came.

Dinnertime became study time. The girls looked to Jackie for guidance and knowledge. Hank sat back and watched her hold court. He was amazed how she was able to hold their attention and give out information. She did it such a way as it reminded him of an old saying; be a guide on the side, not the sage on the stage. She was able to keep the girls thinking and involved, and sharing ideas.

There was something else he noticed. He had seen it before but up until now he never gave it a thought. It was the way Jackie moved and presented herself. There were no false movements or exaggerated gestures. He looked at the other three girls and saw no difference. She was kind and sweet. More importantly she was genuine.

That bothered Hank the more he thought about it. He had always been a fairly liberal guy. His favorite presidents were all of a slightly liberal leaning with Lincoln being his favorite. He smiled to himself as he tried to get Jackie to take a look at Lincoln. She was too involved with Washington and the early Presidents. Hank's wife was the real liberal and she was a big influence into opening his eyes.

On the other side, he was a black and white guy, a stickler for the rules. His least favorite president was Nixon, as he firmly believed no matter how much well you did, you needed to follow the rules. It always surprised him that wife and even his sister felt that the ends justified the means. It was the end result that matter. Because of this, he found himself looking at Presidents like Lincoln and FDR and saw how many of their results came from bending, not breaking the rules.

He came out of his thoughts when the girls burst into laugh about something one of them said. He looked around the table and smiled. Life was pretty good right now.

When the girls headed out to go home, Jackie followed right behind them. As she reached the door, Hank called to her, "Jackie, could you stay a little longer, I would like to talk with you."

"Sure," Jackie replied and followed him into the kitchen.

Upon reaching there Hank offered her a glass of soda, which she refused.

"So what do you want to talk about?" Jackie asked, knowing full well what he wanted.

"First of all, I want to say you look very good in that outfit," Hank said nervously.

"Thank you," Jackie replied giving him a shy grin.

Hank cleared his throat. "Yes," he continued, "Second I want to thank you for all you are doing for Wendy. You are doing an amazing job. As her dad, you can't begin to know how pleased I am. Thank you."

"No need to thank me. I enjoy doing it," Jackie answered. "You should be very proud of her. You have done a great job raising such a wonderful daughter."

Hank paused and shuffled his feet. "And third, I would like to apologize for my outburst last Thursday. I was wrong and..."

Jackie interrupted. "No you weren't. You were angry and confused. I understand why. Maybe I should have told you sooner."

"Why did you tell me at all?"

Jackie laughed. "Oh Hank be serious we both knew where we were headed. We weren't going to stop with a kiss and a feel. Then what? You understand."

"But... Why?" Hank stammered.

"Why didn't I tell you sooner?" Jackie explained, "I didn't think I needed to. I never guessed that I would develop strong feelings for you or for that fact you did towards me. I may be wrong about that but I felt I needed to tell you, before it went too far. I guess I misread the situation."

"It's just that you put me in a terrible situation," Hank sighed, "You're not who you say you are. It just seems wrong to me."

"Look, Hank," Jackie said stepping closer to Hank. "I lived 18 years as someone else, a lie. Now I am who I am truly meant to be. I am Jackie Morgan and I've built a whole new life. This is right for me. For you, Hank, you have to do what you feel is right for you. I understand."

With that she softly kissed him on the lips. "I have to go now, Hank." She said and walked out the door.

At Williamsburg

Because of the lightness of Jackie's class schedule, it was decided she would spent more time working at the village. Since that seemed to be the main idea of the project and her grades were outstanding, she would be working full days now on Tuesday and Wednesday in addition to full days on Friday and Saturday. Monday and Sunday would remain as half day.

This was fine with Jackie as time went on she found she enjoyed portraying Abigail Adams more than sitting in any classroom. The only day that was better was Thursday with Hank.

Tuesday was like any other day. She gave her talk as Abigail and answered many questions. She told those who would like to continue the conversation she would meet them across the street. A small crowd followed her and she obligingly answered any and all questions.

As she finished, she noticed a couple and young girl standing off to the side. They seemed to waiting patiently for her to finish. When she was done, Jackie walked over to them. "I noticed you standing here, do you have any questions?"

"Yes," the woman said with hesitation. "My daughter would like to meet you. Her name is Grace."

Jackie turned to Grace and smiled. "Hello Grace, my name is Abigail. Your mom said you would to meet me. Do you have any questions?"

Grace, who appeared to be seven or eight years old, smiled and clutched the doll she was carrying tightly.

"She doesn't talk much," her mom said, apologizing.

"That's ok," Jackie said to the mom. Turning to the little girl Jackie said, "What a lovely doll. I had a doll like that when I was your age. What's her name?"

To the surprise of her parents, Grace answered, "Felicity."

"What a beautiful name, almost a beautiful as yours." Jackie held out her hand. "Would like to sit with me on this bench? I get tired staying all day."

Grace took Jackie's hand and sat down together. For the next 30 minutes, Grace and Jackie talked. Jackie showed her that her shoes and petticoat was like Felicity's and she told her she had a doll named Kirsten. Finally Jackie walked Grace back to her parents. "Now, Grace, you be good for mommy and daddy."

As she turned to Grace's parents, she noticed that her mom's eyes were filled with tears. She took Jackie's hands. "I don't think we can ever thank you. Our little Gracie never talks to anyone, not even in school. I can't believe what just happened."

Grace's dad offered his hand. "I don't think we can ever repay you." He reached behind him for his wallet.

Jackie waved her hand. "No, no, it was my pleasure. I enjoyed it."

As the family started to walk away, Grace ran back to Jackie. She gave her a quick hug and then ran back to her parents. Jackie waved bye.

Jackie didn't give it a second thought for the rest of the day. By Wednesday she had forgotten about it so she was surprised when Ms. Jackson called her into her office. Jackie was headed off to village and she answered, "I'll be right there."

When she entered the office, she found Hank and a young gentleman she didn't recognized along with Melissa there. Her heart sank. When the young man was introduced as Caleb Hobbs, a reporter from the local paper, it crashed to the floor. It was obvious what this was all about. When Miss Jackson got up and closed the door, Jackie felt like the world closed in on her.

"So Hank did what he thought was right. Did he have to bring a reporter?" Jackie held her hands to keep them from shaking. "There was no Claire this time to save her." She glanced over at Hank. He was smiling at her. She wanted to scream at him!

Melissa's question brought her back. "So could you tell us what happened yesterday?"

Jackie was totally confused. She shook her head. "What happened yesterday?" She ranked her brain trying to remember. "No, Ms. Jackson, I can't think of anything unusual."

Melissa looked at Hank and then the reporter. She slid a picture across her desk. It was of Jackie and the little girl. "Yesterday at the end of the day, two parents and a little girl stopped by my office. They were very excited about what happened and they wanted to make sure someone of importance knew about. They told me all about what Abigail Adams did with their daughter. It seems they then posted a picture of her and Abigail on Facebook with their story. It is now an Internet sensation. Caleb got wind of it and now the paper wants to do a feature on it. I contacted Dr. Taylor and since you're part of his program, I asked his opinion. He agreed it would be great for everyone. Now, Miss Morgan, it is up to you if we do it. What do you say?"

Jackie's shoulders slumped and she felt a little light headed for a moment. Hank leaned forward and grabbed her arm. "Jackie, are you ok? Do you want some water?" There was real caring in his voice.

"No, no, I'm ok," Jackie said slowly. She couldn't believe what just occurred.

"I think it would great publicity for the program and Williamsburg," Hank said, "It's up to you, Jackie."

Jackie looked at Hank and smiled. He nodded back. "Ok, what the heck, I've never been in the papers before."

"Great!" said Caleb pulling out his notepad. "Do you mind if we get started?"

Thursday

Jackie crashed on her couch. "What a fuckin' crazy day," she said out loud. Her mind was in a whirl as her emotions ran the gauntlet. First she was called into the office to find Dr. Taylor, Ms. Jackson, and a reporter seated there. All the worse possible thoughts ran through her mind. Then she was told about what she did on Tuesday and how great it was. Then she met Grace and her mom and dad again. Suddenly it was the greatest day ever.

She spent some time with them, as they wanted some more pictures. She got to know Mike and Joyce Burling well. They were from Western Pennsylvania and Grace was their only child. They told her about Grace, saying she was level one autistic and they worked hard to help her. They explained she didn't say much and rarely spoke to people. They were simply floored on how Grace reacted to Jackie. As they were talking, Grace stood next to Jackie, holding her doll in one hand and Jackie's in the other.

When they said good good-bye, Jackie asked them to stay for a moment. She went into the gift shop and pick out of the children's illustrated book. She took it and returned to Grace. It was the story of Abigail Adams and she gave it to the little girl. Inside she signed it, "To Grace, from your friend Abigail, Keep dreaming as dreams can come true"

As they walked away, Joyce came back to Jackie. "What's your real name? Can I have your address?"

Jackie smiled. "Of course," and she wrote it on a piece of paper for Joyce.

"Here's ours," Joyce said and she did something that caught Jackie off guard. She kissed Jackie on the cheek. Stepping back, Joyce said, "Mike and I will never forget you. Thank you and God bless."

Jackie sipped her wine and relaxed. Her computer, which was open on the kitchen table dinged. She got up and walked over to it. It was an email from Hank. It was unusual as he rarely emailed her. She saw it was titled "Amazing" and opened it. She read the following:

"You are simply amazing. Forget about your classes tomorrow. I'm taking you someplace special. See you at 8AM. Taking you to breakfast."

Jackie was curious. She wondered if he would want to continue their normal Thursday routine after their last one but it seemed that way. She emailed him back:

"Ok. See you at 8"

At 8 o'clock Thursday morning Jackie hopped into Hank's car. Not sure where they going she compromised on her clothing. She had on a light pink long sleeve polo shirt, black yoga pants, and white sneakers. She had a light sweater wrapped around her waist.

"All set," he asked.

"Yup," she replied, "What's the big secret? Where are we going?"

"Breakfast first," he answered, "And not fast food either."

As they sat and ate breakfast Hank said, "You are truly remarkable, Jackie. I get more impressed with you every day. How do you do it?"

"Do what?" she said setting her fork down.

Hank laughed. "Do what you do. You're bright, have a great personality, everyone thinks you're great, and then this with that little girl. That was amazing."

Jackie took a sip of her tea. "I don't know. I guess I just understand people like Grace."

"How?" Hank asked.

She sighed. He asked so she began. "Growing up, I always felt a little out step. Not only with people but myself. I stayed in my room a lot and read books. I lost myself in lives of other people. I didn't have many friends. I just didn't know where I fit in. I bet you Grace feels that way sometimes."

Hank shook his hand. "But the way you talked her and connected with her through her doll, how did you know?"

"I didn't and I lied to her," Jackie confessed. "I never had a doll growing up. My sister, Rachel, did. I wanted one so bad so when Rachel wasn't home, I played with it. It became my friend. I just felt Grace and her doll were like me."

"Wow!" Hank smiled. "That doesn't explain how you can relate to my daughter and friends."

"Look, it's like baseball managers. The best ones are the ones who struggled and had to work hard. They can relate to those players who need a little help. Everything comes easy to the superstars. I guess I'm just like Billy Martin."

Hank laughed loudly and then looked around. "I wouldn't go that far. I think you're much better looking!"

"Thanks!" Jackie said with a pout.

The ride was about two hours to their destination and they used the time to talk and open up to each other. For the first time Hank told Jackie more about his first wife, how they met, dated, and got married. Hank confessed that he didn't have any real success with girls in high school and his wife was his first real girl friend. He said they were both virgins when they met so they were each other's first.

Jackie said that was hard to believe that he didn't have many girl friends in high school especially how good looking he was now.

"Yes, that's me," he laughed.

Jackie also opened up about herself. She still was a little hesitant on most things before college so she focused mostly on those years. Still she did reveal a little more about growing up. She said high school was difficult and without the guidance of one teacher she wouldn't be where she was today. Most importantly it was like the two of them were becoming totally relaxed with other, much more than before.

"Almost there," Hank said, turning up the mountain road.

"It is certainly beautiful here. Your dad was right about the colors," Jackie said, "You still have some. He said I should go to Harpers Ferry in the fall."

That's sounds like a good idea."

Jackie gave him a funny look as if to say, "What are you saying?"

It was at that point she noticed the sign ahead. "No way!" she exclaimed.

"Yes way!" he yelled back.

What Jackie was so excited about was that Hank had driven all this way to take Jackie to Monticello, Thomas Jefferson's home. It had been on Jackie's bucket list for a long time and now here it was.

"Excited?" Hank asked.

"Yes!" She was so excited she leaned over, hugged his arm, and gave him a kiss on the cheek.

Jackie waited by the car until Hank returned. She couldn't believe she was at Monticello. She had told Hank how much she wanted to see it but she didn't think he would bring her here.

She saw Hank walking towards her with another man. She walked towards them.

"Jackie," Hank said, "This is Wilson Cutler, he is head of Monticello and will be our guide." He turned to Wilson. "Wil, this Miss Jacqueline Morgan, one of my students."

Wilson took Jackie's hand. "Miss Morgan, Henry told me all about you over the phone. He described you as more than just one of his students. What he didn't say was how pretty you were. Please call me Wil or Wilson, we're not formal here."

Jackie blushed. "Thank you, and please call me Jackie."

"Very well, we should get started. I think you're in for quite a treat."

Wilson was right. He gave Jackie the deluxe tour of the grounds, the house, and library. They went places the public never saw and only a select few did. As he continued, he dropped back to talk with Hank. "You were right. She knows her stuff and she has asked questions that make me think, not the usual run of the mill stuff." He moved up next to Jackie.

"I understand you do Abigail Adams down at Williamsburg. Follow me."

Wilson took them deep into the archives and there on a table sat a letter, wrapped in protective plastic. He handed Jackie a pair of white gloves. "Please put these on," he said as he removed the letter. "What you have here is a letter from Abigail Adams to Thomas Jefferson, written while John was in England and Thomas in France."

Jackie gasped. "Can I touch it?"

"Go right ahead."

Jackie held the letter in her hands and said nothing. She had handled primary sources like this before at the Park and National Archives but this was beyond those. "Do you have other letters from her?" Jackie asked not taking her eyes off it.

"No unfortunately this is the only one," Wilson replied.

Jackie just nodded.

The tour lasted over 4 hours and Jackie was wishing she could see more.

"Look, if you ever want to work in our archives on research, just let me know. I can arrange it for you," Wilson said as they headed back to the car.

"I will and thank you so much," Jackie said sliding into the seat.

Wilson walked around the car with Hank. Before Hank got in Wilson stopped him. "Good God, Henry, where did you find her? She is a real treasure, smart, attractive, asks the right questions and she knows her stuff too."

"Like I told you, we started this new program between the college and Williamsburg. She came highly recommended."

Wilson looked over Hank's shoulder at Jackie. "I can see why."

They stopped for dinner at Michie Tavern, which located halfway down the hill from Monticello. Jackie had some real Southern fried chicken but was still too excited to enjoy it. She continued to talk about the visit through dinner almost non-stop. Hank just sat back and listened.

As he did, he looked at her closely. A number of people had told him the same things about Jackie. She was bright, cheerful, upbeat, a hard worker, and caring. Wilson said what others had said. She was attractive but not in a real sexy way. She wasn't the girl next door, perhaps somewhere in between. He found himself staring at her.

"Hank, are you listening to me?"

"Yes, of course," he quickly answered.

Hank pulled in front of Jackie's condo. He hoped she would ask him in but he didn't want to ask himself.

Jackie got out and then turned towards around. "Hey, my mom gave me her old Keurig coffee maker. I haven't used it. You know I'm not a coffee drinker. Would you like to come in and give it a try?"

"Sure," Hank replied, shutting off the car.

As he followed her in, Amber peaked out their window. "Damn, there he is again. That girl knows what she is doing."

"How did it come out?" Jackie asked as Hank sat down next to her on the couch.

"Pretty good and thanks to your mom for giving it to you. Now I can have a cup of coffee when I'm here."

Jackie turned her head and smiled.

"I glad you enjoyed the day," Hank continued, "But I just want to say something. I'm sorry about yesterday. Melissa called me and told me she wanted to meet with you and me. She didn't tell me why until I got there so I didn't have time to tell you. It was a surprise to me too."

"You were surprised? All I could think of..." Jackie exclaimed.

"I'm so sorry you thought that!" Hank interrupted, taking her hand. "I saw the look on your face and I tried to reassure you with my smile. You feeling that way was all my fault. I'm so sorry. I was wrong."

Jackie shook her head. "It's nobody's fault. It is what it is."

"No, Jackie," Hank said softly, "I overreacted. Maybe I was just afraid to admit that I have some pretty strong feelings for you. What do you say to starting over again?"

Jackie pulled her hands away from his. "No, Hank, I can't do that!" she said surprising him. "I won't do that, start over. We, I've come too far to do that. We can start from where we left off but I won't start from the beginning again!"

Hank said nothing for a moment and then smiled. "Then we start here now" He leaned over and kissed her. He leaned back. "So now what?"

Jackie laughed. "I don't know. I guess we'll just have to see.

"Ok then I have a request to make of you. Not this Saturday but the next one there is a big gala at the Williamsburg Inn. I mean big. The president of Colonial Williamsburg, maybe our Governor, big money, and very important. It's formal, black tie, and gowns. I would like you to accompany me. I know it is kind of last minute but I would love have you as my date."

Jackie looked at him. "I don't know if I can do that." She paused to see the look of disappointment on Hank's face.

"That's ok," he began.

She laughed. "Of course, I'll go, silly," she said, "I would be honored." It was her turn to kiss him. As she did she thought, "Damn, I better call my mom for my gown!"

Sunday Dinner

The phone buzzing awoke Jackie from a deep sleep. She had stayed up late completing her one paper and was hoping to sleep late this morning. That idea was now gone. She picked up the phone and saw it was Wendy.

"Hello," Jackie mumbled.

"Jackie," the voice on the other end said excitedly. "It's Wendy! Have you seen today's paper?"

"No," Jackie trying to wake up. "Why?"

"It is so exciting! There is a big article on you and that little girl in the Today Section. Pictures and everything! You're a celebrity."

Jackie sat up and said calmly, "Ok."

"Just Ok? You need to go to the store and get a copy. We have one here and my dad said he would go get another."

"Ok, I'm getting up," Jackie said. "I have to get dressed and then I'll go get one."

Jackie got dressed and went to the nearest 7-11. She bought just one copy. She would see what it said and save it for her parents. There was a website for the paper so she figured she use that to get copies of the article for other people.

"Good morning mom, how is everything going?" Jackie asked.

"Just fine, dear," mother replied, "Is everything ok?"

"Couldn't be better. I can't wait to get home." She then went to explain about the article and told her mom how they could see it on the computer. Jackie realized that her parents were not computer savvy so she slowing talked them through it. She could hear her dad's voice in the background as the article came up.

"It looks fantastic, Jackie. How about we read it then call you back?" her mom asked.

"Sure, one more thing, mom, did you send out my gown and shoes?"

"Yes, we did. Your dad mailed it early yesterday. They said it would be there Monday," her mom explained. "It sounds pretty important. One question, is there a man involved in this?"

Jackie laughed. "Yes, mom," Jackie said seriously. "He is one of my professors and he is just a friend. He needed someone to go with him so he asked me. He's 40 years old and a widower. You would really like him. He's nice."

"That's nice, dear, I'm happy for you," Jackie's mom replied. "I'm glad to hear that. You sound very happy."

"I am, mom, but I'm ready to come home and be with you. It won't be long. Look, read the article then call me back. I'm not going anywhere until later. Say hello to dad. I love you."

At dinner, Wendy and the other two girls were so excited about the article that it was all they could talk about. Then Wendy brought up the twenty-five dollar question. "So after Christmas are you coming back? It seems Colonial Williamsburg is happy with you. The College is too." She turned to her friends. "We know we want you to stay and I'm pretty sure my Dad want you too also."

At that, Hank almost choked on his food. Before Hank could answer, Jackie spoke. "The plan was for one semester only, right Hank? And then I would go back and finish up at my old school." Jackie turned to Hank. "Maybe I could return for my Master's but we'll have to see about that. I've have had an amazing time here and I wouldn't have missed it for the world."

"Just so you know," Wendy answered, "We three can't thank you enough. You made this semester fly by and you made it so much more bearable. Thank you."

After Wendy and the girls left, Hank and Jackie sat quietly on the couch. "I have to echo what the girls said. We couldn't have asked for a better person for our program. I think you set the bar pretty high," Hank said.

"Thank you, I really enjoyed it here," Jackie replied.

Hank moved closer. "On a personal note, I wish you could stay longer. I've really enjoyed everything we have done together and somehow I feel there might be more."

Jackie lowered her head and blushed, "I know."

There was an awkward pause as they looked at each other. They hadn't seriously kissed since that night and right now both knew they wanted. Again right on cue, they heard Wendy's car return. They smiled and they laughed.

"Oh well," Hank said with shrug. "Are you all set for Saturday?"

"Yes," Jackie smiled. "My mom found my dress and my dad sent it out yesterday. It should be here by tomorrow."

"It wasn't too much of a problem?'

"No and I think you'll like it."

It was Hank's turn to smile. "I'm sure I will."

The Offer

Jackie went to class on Monday and Tuesday and these were her last classes for the term. Next week was finals and she had two and she wasn't concerned about either. Her papers for the classes were complete or nearly complete so there was no problem there. Despite her earlier fears of a heavy load between Colonial Williamsburg and college things went surprisingly well.

She worked all day at the village on Wednesday and when she finished, Melissa called her into her office. There, Jackie was greeted with Dr. Martin and Dr. Taylor. She froze.

Hank jumped up. "Hey, it's alright. Nothing is wrong."

"In fact, Miss Morgan," Melissa added in, "You might consider it good news. Have a seat."

Jackie sat down with a nervous smile.

"First I would like to say we are all very impressed with you," Melissa said, "I congratulate you on doing such a fantastic job. It exceeded our expectations. The article in the newspaper was the topping on the cake."

"Yes," Dr. Martin added, "Truly amazing."

Hank nodded and smiled.

"So without beating around the bush, Jackie," Melissa continued, "We would to extend the program and have you stay another semester. I'll let the other explain."

"Yes, Jackie," Dr. Martin started, "I don't see the classes as being any problem. Being your advisor, I think we can get away with a reduced class load. I check with your advisor in your other college and they are ok with it."

"That would allow you more time here," Melissa said. "We go on a reduced workload during January so your Christmas break wouldn't be interfered with."

"I talked with Dr. Rose," Hank explained, "He only had glowing things to say about you. I explained the situation and he said even though he was losing you as a TA, he fully understood. Because of that, we are offering you a TA position also."

"This would cover the reduced class load so you would still be a full time student," Dr. Martin added in.

"So whom would I be TA to?" Jackie asked.

Hank looked down at his feet and then at Jackie. He cleared his throat. "Me, if you like. If not, I'm sure anyone else who be happy to have you."

"Ok," Jackie said, "This is a complete surprise. All I can say is thank you but I really need to think about it. There are some people I need to talk it over with, like my parents. You understand."

"Yes," Melissa replied, "Do you have any questions?

"Only one right now. I'm sure I'll have more. How does this affect my Master's? I always assumed that I would return to Massachusetts and take it there."

All three looked at each other. "Well, Jackie, we hadn't thought of that," Dr. Martin said, "But I sure it won't be a problem when the time comes."

Jackie stood up. "Thank you again and I will think on it. My time here has been truly wonderful. I can't tell how much I have learned and experienced here. I would love to continue here but I do need to think on it. Now I'm scheduled at the Governor's Palace and I don't want to be late. Thank you so much."

Saturday Night

Jackie was very nervous about tonight. She was more nervous than the first dinner she went to with Hank. She wanted everything to be perfect. Maybe it was the idea this was formal or the Governor might be there. It shouldn't have matter as she attended one like this in DC with Dr. Robinson and she had a lot more to worry then than now. Now she was confident and comfortable with whom she was. Maybe it was because she was going with Hank.

Since there talking after Thanksgiving, things had got on well but she had the feeling that they were stuck, not moving forward or backwards. To her, it wasn't providing any answers to her questions. The fact that they weren't moving in either direction might have been the answer. Jackie wasn't sure and tonight she might be able get the arrow to move or at least provide an answer.

The dress she was wearing was the same one she wore In Washington, a long green gown with spaghetti straps and a slit up the legs. It didn't go too high but still she couldn't go commando. Instead she wore a high cut green satin with black trim thong and matching garter belt. No bra tonight. She felt her legs were too pale so she wore nude stockings, which added some color to her legs. She let her hair down tonight as the green set off the highlights in it. No golden hoops but silver dangling earrings and Hank's bracelet were her accessories. Of course she always wore her good luck bobble.

She cut back on the make-up but made sure she wore lip-gloss. She wanted her lips to appear wet and kissable tonight. Looking in the mirror she was pleased with what she saw. She noticed that the dress was a bit tighter than before and she filled it out some more. She remembered what the doctor told her. "Estrogen loves food!" Jackie thought, "And it like bigger boobs too!" There was a knock on the door as she finished up.

Jackie opened the door to find Hank standing there in his tux. "My, Dr. Taylor, you like so handsome. I barely recognized you," Jackie said with a giggle.

"Miss Morgan, I've never seen you looking so radiant." There was no giggle as Hank found Jackie truly breathtaking. He held out his arm.

As they drove off, Jackie laughed. "I feel like I'm going to the prom."

"Didn't you go to your prom?" Hank asked.

"No and I wouldn't have gone dressed like this and certainly not with such a handsome date!"

The Williamsburg Inn was all lit up as they drove up to it. A valet opened Jackie's door and help her out as another opened Hank's. As the car drove off, Jackie waited for Hank.

"This is very fancy," Jackie whispered in his ear, "I'm not sure about this." She took Hank's arm.

"Really? I'm sure you will do just fine." He leaned closer. "Besides, I think you'll be the prettiest one here." They walked inside.

Hank led her to the ballroom. Like the outside, the room was brightly lit with a large number of men in tuxes and women in gowns. It was much more impressive that the one Jackie attended in Washington. A waiter approached with drinks and Hank took two.

"Here you go," he said handing Jackie one.

She took a sip and wrinkled her nose. Champagne!

"You don't like it?" Hank asked.

Jackie remembered what Angie told her that it was an acquired taste. She smiled. "It's alright."

Melissa Jackson waved at them from across the room.

"There's Melissa," Hank said, "That's our table.

As they walked that way, they crossed the dance floor. No one was dancing but the band provided some music.

"Do you dance?" Hank asked. "I know you dance on Friday's nights."

"Three years of dancing school," Jackie replied, "My mom thought it might help me socially. My dad, you might have guessed, was against it. It was ok for my sister though."

"Then we'll have to give it a try."

"I would like that," Jackie said softly.

"Hi, Jackie," Melissa said, "You look absolutely stunning in that dress. That green really brings out the red in your hair." She turned to the man seated next to her. "This is my husband, Carl."

As Jackie took her seat, an older distinguish man approached the table. "Good evening, Henry, glad you could come."

"Thanks, Conrad," Hank replied. "Conrad, this is..."

"I know who this is," Conrad interrupted. "Miss Morgan, I'm Conrad Weimsar, president of Williamsburg. I have heard so much about you, all good." He looked at Hank, "I'm sorry but I'm afraid I am going to take Miss Morgan away from you. I would like her to meet some of our more important people."

Jackie looked at Hank with a bit of panic in her eyes.

Hank smiled. "I'm sure Miss Morgan wouldn't mind but I insist you return her."

"Very well. Miss Morgan," Conrad held out his hand.

As Jackie walked away, Melissa slid over next to Hank. "It is remarkable how she conducts herself in these situations. Calm and cool. We couldn't have asked for a better ambassador for our program."

Hank smiled. "She isn't as calm and cool as you think."

"Really? How so?"

"When it comes to history, Jackie is amazing. She talks with confidence and asks great questions. She thinks on her feet," Hank explained. "Standing in front of a crowd doing Abigail Adams is nothing for her. Outside of that situation, I think she is close to a panic."

"Come on Hank, look at her with Conrad and those people," Melissa pointed out.

"Ok, look closely at her. Notice her hands. She holding them because they're shaking," Hank continued. "Remember how she tensed up when we called into your office, both with the reporter and last Thursday. She isn't comfort in those situations. This is the second time I've taken her to something like this. She stayed real close then and she was tonight until Conrad took her."

"So you are telling me she is comfortable with you?" Melissa said, raising an eyebrow.

Instead of answering, Hank stood up. "I'll be right back."

He headed over to Jackie. When he reached her, he subtly put his hand on her waist. He felt Jackie tense up. "Excuse me, Conrad, but it looks like dinner is going to be served." He slipped his hand down and took Jackie's hand in his. Her hand felt sweaty.

Jackie moved close to him as they walked back to the table.

"Thank you," she whispered.

The dinner was surprising good. Jackie thought on that remembering this was the Williamsburg Inn with world-renowned chefs. The champagne got better as the night wore on too.

After the speeches and the pitches for money, there was dancing. Hank guided her out on the floor. The first dance felt a little awkward but as they continued they began to move together to the music. Jackie moved closer as she loved the feeling of being in Hank's arms. For Hank, it had been three long years since he held a woman in his arms. She was soft yet vibrant. He could smell her perfume. It was intoxicating.

The moon was full and the stars were out as they left. Hank silently cursed the fact that his car had bucket seats, as he wanted Jackie to sit closer. Jackie had removed her shoes and placed her feet against the dashboard. Her gown fell open along it's slit, revealing much of her leg. Jackie made no move to cover up.

Hank stopped the car in front of Jackie's condo. She made no move to get out. "It is so beautiful tonight," she said looking out the car's moon roof. "I wish it would never end."

All Hank could say was "I know."

"We could go inside," Jackie said quietly.

Hank knew what was the right answer. Instead he nodded and said, "Ok."

They walked inside and stopped. Without saying a word, both knew what was going to happen next. There was a brief uncomfortable moment between them. Hank moved closer and put his hands on Jackie's hips. She could feel the heat of his touch through her gown. She tilted her head up slightly, looking directly into his eyes. He leaned forward and kissed her.

The kiss was soft and tender but as they broke it, it ignited a passion that had been simmering all night.

Jackie placed both along side Hank's face as he picked her up and pushed her against the wall. She kissed him hard; parting her lips to let Hank's tongue entered her mouth. She moaned as he did. They kissed frantically. She wrapped one leg around his hip as she pushed his jacket off him.

Hank began to nibble on Jackie's ear then moved along the smooth lines of her neck. She leaned her head back, exposing more of her neck to his kisses. Her hands moved down his back, pulling his shirt from his pants. Her hands then roamed under it, running her fingers over his skin.

As Hank's mouth kissed it way towards Jackie's breasts, he grabbed one. Roughly he fondled it drawing a gasp and moan from Jackie. She arched her back, raising her breasts, inviting him to take them.

Hank stepped back, catching his breath. Both knew this wasn't over. Jackie took his hand and led him to the couch. Not a word was spoken between them. Reaching the couch, Jackie began to unbutton Hank's shirt. When she done, she leaned forward and began to kiss his chest. Hank reached around and unzipped Jackie's gown. Jackie continued to kiss her way downward and Hank's hands ran across her smooth skin.

Suddenly Jackie stopped. She stood up, directly in front of him. Slowly she slipped the straps off her shoulders. Hank watched her every move. Her hands grasped the top of her gown and she seductively began to lower it. Keeping one hand across her breasts, she pushed the gown lower until it dropped to the floor around her feet. She stood before Hank, hands at her side, clad only in her thong, garters, and stocking.

"Do you like?" she cooed softly.

Hank could only nod.

Jackie walked slowly towards Hank, looking directly at him. She pushed his legs apart and knelt between them. Undoing his pants, she whispered, "How much do you like it?"

She pulled his pants and underwear down, causing his rock hard cock to spring free. She wrapped her hand around it. "Very much, I see," she said with a smile. She placed her tongue at the base and licked upward.

"Oh, God," Hank groaned.

Jackie placed her mouth over the tip and slowly descended, taking Hank's cock into her mouth. Reaching bottom she retreated, twirling her tongue around it. She repeated this, each time causing Hank groan and raise his hips.

Her actions were exquisite. Each stroke was sending jolts of feelings throughout Hank's body. His wife had given him head before but nothing like this. His one foot began to shake as he tilted his head and closed his eyes.

"Hank, look at me," Jackie said in a firm voice.

He opened his eyes and looked. Jackie's hand was firmly wrapped around his wet saliva coated cock. A string of it ran from his cock to Jackie's shiny lips. She was looking directly at him.

She leaned forward. Keeping eye contact with him, she began to suck harder on his cock.

"Oh fuck, Jackie!" He moaned as he ran his finger through her hair.

He could feel the sensation spreading from his cock. As it grew stronger, his glaze moved over Jackie's body. From her strawberry blonde hair, he looked down her perfectly smooth back to her flared hips to her deliciously curved bottom. As he admired the wonderful sight, Jackie grabbed his balls and gently squeezed them.

"Oh God!" he exclaimed. The added sensation pushed him over the edge and he came in a rush. "Oh fuck, baby, oh fuck!" His hips bucked as his cum exploded from his cock.

Jackie swallowed every drop except a small dab that lingered on the corner of her mouth. She raised her head from his cock and slowly licked away the dab. She squeezed his cock, making him wince. A small amount of cum dribbled out which she flicked into her mouth.

"Are you alright?" Jackie asked.

Breathing heavily, Hank gasped, "Yes, oh yes."

"Good," Jackie said, jumping up, "I'll be right back."

As Hank recovered, he began to feel self-conscious, sitting there with his now limp cock hanging out. He pulled up his pants just as Jackie reappeared.

She had changed in her kimono and sat cross-legged on the couch facing him. He could see she still wore her thong.

"Are you sure you're all right?" she asked again.

"Yes," Hank replied, "But what was this?"

"Was it that bad?" Jackie answered with a little pout.

"No, no, it was amazing." Hank took her hands. "But why? Why this?"

"Because I wanted to," Jackie explained, "You have been so good to me that I wanted to give you something. Second because I felt I had to." She turned serious. "I told you I wanted to move forward with our relationship. I may have been wrong but I felt moving to a higher level, becoming more intimate, might move it along. I was nervous. That's why I drank those three glasses of champagne!" She laughed a little. "I know you have doubts, big ones. I do too but I wanted to show you what it could be like. I'm sorry if what happened here tonight was wrong."

"Jackie, it wasn't wrong. It's just that..." Before he could finish, Jackie interrupted.

"I get it. I really do, Hank."

Hank stood up and buckled his belt. "I should go, Jackie, before." He stopped. "I should go."

They walked together to the door. He turned and kissed her. "See you tomorrow at dinner."

Jackie retired to her bedroom and took off her kimono. She pealed off her thong. It was soaking wet from all the pre-cum that leaked from it. She fell back onto the bed, thinking she should take a shower. As she thought she felt strangely content. She took a huge step today giving Hank a blowjob. It definitely something she didn't normally do being Kylie was the only one she ever did. No, her feelings for Hank had only grown stronger since she returned from Thanksgiving. She had to know was there any future, any reason to harbor such feelings towards him. It was drastic but she had to know.

Hank's mind was in a fog as he drove home. "What the fuck just happened," he said out loud. "What was she trying to prove?" His mind reeled as he realized he said "she." He had to admit he had feelings, strong ones, for Jackie but never in his wildest dreams had this scenario come up. "What am I going to do?"

Jackie's Last Week

It was difficult to understand all that had happened this semester Jackie thought as she finished packing up her things. Her classes went extremely well and she believed they would be useful in the future, especially the archeology class. The time at Williamsburg was beyond her wildest dreams. The people were fantastic and so committed to doing it right. She had made some great friends. They were helpful too, providing support and ideas. Jackie knew she could speak about History before groups of people but here she grew in confidence about doing it.

She also discovered that, as much as she hated it, she could talk with those who weren't historians, people who were influential and important. It still made her nervous but she was getting over it.

She understood why it was a problem. When she was younger, she wasn't sure who she was and was just uncomfortable in her own skin. Four years ago, she had finally figured it out but being afraid of being discovered caused her worry and concern. Now she felt strong, secure, and confident in being Jackie Morgan. No one who met her doubted who she was yet there still was a lingering doubt in her own mind. The little voice that told her, "Be careful!"

And then there was Hank. It was like she knew this was going to happen. Slowly as her body changed so did her thoughts. She was becoming more interested in men, more excited as they found her to be attractive. She found herself becoming more attracted to them also. One thing she never thought of was falling in love with any of them. She had to admit that it happened with Hank and now the question became what to do about it?

That Sunday at dinner went well, like usual. A great meal, fun conversations with Wendy and her friends, and serious study time was the normal fare. It was the interaction with Hank that was different. Jackie couldn't put her finger on it but Hank was different. He was more attentive, some how more caring. He touched her more, light, little caresses of her arm, a hand on her shoulder. She found him looking at her more, glances from the kitchen as she sat with girls or at the table.

When Wendy left to take the girls home, it was usually their time alone. Tonight it was different. Severe thunderstorms were predicted in the area so Hank said he would drive the girls home. He took Jackie aside.

"Look," he said, "I know you are disappointed but I'm worried about the weather and Wendy driving." He moved closer to Jackie, lightly pressing against her. "I'm worried about you too. I don't want you out driving in it either. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you."

Jackie could hear the caring and concern in his voice and she smiled back. "I understand."

Then he kissed her. Not a crazy deep kiss but a light one on her lips but this one kiss had more meaning than any before it.

There was a knock on the door.

"Oh come in," Jackie said.

It was Tiffany and Amber.

"We saw you packing up your car. You're not coming back?" Tiffany asked.

"No, it was just a one semester program and it's all done," Jackie replied.

"That's too bad. We really didn't get a chance to know you," Amber said.

"I know and that's my fault," Jackie apologized, "I'm such a history nerd. I got so involved in my classes and at Williamsburg. I guess I don't socialize well."

The girls stood across the counter from Jackie. "That's ok, I just had a feeling that we had some things in common and could have shared some good times," Tiffany said with a knowing smile.

"I get where you are coming from," Jackie smiled back. "Maybe."

"You still have that boyfriend?" Amber laughed.

"I told you before, it's not what you think, girls. He's an older man, a widower," Jackie explained, "We just enjoy each other's company. That's all."

"We saw you last Saturday night. You looked hot, girl!" Tiffany exclaimed, "I think your friend just wanted some eye candy on his arm!"

"Maybe!"

"So, Jackie, we are sorry to see you go," Melissa said, "But as a token of our appreciation, we have this for you." She handed Jackie a large flat box.

"Thank you," Jackie replied, awkwardly shuffling her feet.

"Don't thank us until you see it," Josh yelled out.

Jackie torn off the paper to find an American Girl doll inside the box. It was Felicity, like the one Grace had with one big difference. The clothing it was wearing was exactly like the clothing Jackie wore as Abigail Adams.

"We had the costume department make a copy so you would have your own doll," Martha told her.

"I don't know what to say," Jackie said, embarrassed by her reaction. She looked at Josh. "Now I can say thank you!"

This meant more to Jackie than they realized. She appreciated the thought, kindness, and effort that when into it. These were truly great people and she couldn't begin to thank them enough. She had a wonderful time with them.

The doll meant more than that. This doll was the first time Jackie ever had her own. She always wanted one but knew she would never have one. She had to be content to play with Rachel's behind her back. Now she had one she could call her own.

She had Martha take a picture of herself and the doll and then one of just the doll. She texted them both to Joyce, Grace's mom, with the caption. "Now we both have one. We'll have to introduce them to each other. Your friend Abigail."

The Big Reveal

"How about that crazy weather last Sunday?" Jackie asked.

"Yes it was wild," Wendy replied.

"We usually don't get storms like that in December," Hank added. "More like early summer."

"We get thunderstorms but not like that. Did you see what's coming? I'm a little worried about it," Jackie said.

"Why?" Wendy asked.

"What I saw on the weather channel there's a storm that is in Ohio right now but will race across through DC and then reform off NJ," Jackie explained.

"And that's bad?" Wendy again asked.

"Yes, it could reform as a nor'easter which means lots of snow for New England. I don't want to be driving in that," Jackie answered.

"You could stay here," Hank suggested.

Jackie reached over and squeezed his hand. "Thanks but I really should get home so I'm leaving real early tomorrow morning." She could see the look of disappointment on the faces of Hank and Wendy.

This was the last Thursday Jackie and Hank would have. Instead of going some place a distance away, Hank took Jackie to the hot dog shop where it all began. He remembered what she ordered that and surprised her with it. They sat inside and just talked as they ate. Afterwards they walked the village streets. It had been a long time since Hank actually took some time to see the sites. Jackie talked him into a carriage ride so they sat close together as they rode slowly along the streets. It was a little cool so the driver suggested they cover up with a blanket. They took it and as they proceeded, Hank reached under the blanket and held Jackie's hand.

They took their time exploring the shops. When they entered the jewelry shop, Hank insisted Jackie pick out something.

"No, you don't have to," Jackie said shaking her head.

"I know I don't have to. I want to," answered Hank.

Jackie picked out a pair of small silver earrings.

"Are you sure, Jackie?"

"Yes, I like them."

As they left, Jackie slipped her arm between his and pulled him close. "Thank you," she whispered and kissed him on the cheek.

Back at Hank's house, the two of them worked together to make supper. Hank had thrown some beef into the crock-pot so that was just about done when they got home. Hank decided that egg noodles would go with the meat and the gravy he was going to make. He asked Jackie to make the salad.

Jackie felt it was something special that they were preparing dinner together. Usually the meal was ready to when she arrived. Tonight was different. It made her feel warm inside, that fact that they were doing this simple chore together. That and the wine they were consuming.

This was also the first time it was just the three of them together for dinner. Anytime before it was usually Hank's whole family or the two girls of the study group. As Jackie sat at the table, she felt right at home, like she belonged.

"Ok," Wendy announced as the table was cleared. "Since it is almost Christmas, I have something for you, Jackie." She headed to her room.

Jackie turned to Hank and said, "Excuse me, I'll be right back." She headed to her car. When she returned, she had a bag full of gifts. She saw a stack of gifts on the table. "I guess we had the same idea."

Wendy and Jackie exchanged gifts first. When Jackie opened her package, she laughed. It was a W&M mug. She looked at Wendy. "Wait until you open yours!"

Wendy quickly unwrapped hers to find an UMass mug. "Wow! Great minds!"

Jackie picked up a second one. Feeling it, she laughed again. "I guess so." Both girls opened their presents to find similar t-shirts, each from their colleges. "It seems we both have good taste," Jackie said with a smile.

She turned to Hank and handed him two packages. "They're not much but I think you will like them."

He opened the first one. It was a bust of Abraham Lincoln. "I figured out from your class, Lincoln was your favorite president so I thought you could use this."

"Thank you, Jackie. Now I can have him looking over my shoulder." He picked up the small package. "What could this be?" It was a pen. He looked at Jackie with a quizzical expression and then read the description. It was a replica of the pen Lincoln used to sign the Emancipation Proclamation.

Hank was quiet for a moment.

"Do you like it?" Jackie asked.

"Yes," Hank said quietly at first. "It is fantastic. Where did you find it?"

"The Old State House in Boston has the real one and they sell replicas. I thought you might like it," Jackie explained.

"Yes, this is great." He leaned over and kissed her. It was the first time he kissed her in front of Wendy. It was short but it did convey a message to both Jackie and Wendy.

"Now yours." Hank slid a heavy box across the table.

Jackie attempted to lift it. "This is heavy. What's in it?"

"Open it and see," directed Hank.

Jackie did. It was a number of books. She took one out. She read the title on the binding out loud. "Washington, Douglas Southall Freeman, Volume 1." She looked in the box to see seven more volumes.

"You said you read them in high school so I thought you should have your own set," Hank explained. "Some day you'll have your own office with a book shelf. These will be your start.

Jackie never thought a set of books could mean so much. She took each one out and flipped through the pages. He looked over at Hank and smiled. "Thank you," was all she said.

Wendy handed her a second one. "Open this one. I help Dad pick it out."

It was a choker, a porcelain cameo on blue ribbon.

"We thought you could wear it when you were Abigail plus the blue went with your blue necklace you always wear," Wendy explained.

"I love it," Jackie exclaimed. She handed it to Hank. "Here, help me put it on. She turned her back to him and flipped up her hair, exposing her neck to him.

Hank sighed as for a brief instant he wanted to kiss Jackie's neck. He then smiled about thinking such a thought. He fastened it in place. "There!"

"I don't know if it goes with my new t-shirt," Jackie said, "I'm sure it will go with everything else!"

Hank handed Jackie her cup of tea as they relaxed on the couch in the den.

"I thought you might like to try out your new mug," Hank said sitting down next to her.

"Thanks," Jackie replied, "It was funny Wendy and I had the same ideas."

"Yes, it was," Hank answered, "I would really like to thank you for all the help you gave Wendy. It gave her the confidence she needed plus without her mom, a woman to talk to. Thanks."

"It was nothing, Hank. Wendy is a sweet girl and a great student. You should be really proud of her."

"Thanks. You know she has taken a special liking to you. I think you two have grown close in this short time." Hank sipped his coffee. "So have you thought about the offer, returning next term?"

Jackie held her mug in both hands and took a long slow sip. "I have and I still don't know. I have a lot of concerns."

"Like what?" Hank asked.

"I'm in my final semester back home and that's all set. I'm going to be Dr. Rose's TA and I don't want to disappoint him," Jackie began. "I already have a job at Park and if I take a job here, do I lose it and the NPS scholarship? I'm pretty sure that after I graduate I can go straight into my Master's. That's just my school questions."

"I sure we can take care of those things here," Hank explained. "As far as the scholarship, I know for certain the school here will replace it."

"Ok and then it is my family and friends," Jackie continued. "I'm pretty sure my mom and dad will support me whatever my decision. My girlfriend and I were going to share an apartment, which we have for almost 4 years. I would be leaving her in the lurch."

"I see," Hank nodded, "Anything else?"

"Yes, Hank and its my biggest concern." Jackie looked directly at him. "It's you and I. I mean, we would be together again, for another semester. How would that go? What would happen? And you want me to be your TA!"

Hank set his cup down. "I don't know, Jackie. There are just so many questions. There is your age. Christ, you could be my daughter."

"Your mother said age is just a number. If people are right for each it shouldn't matter," Jackie replied.

"Second," Hank continued, "You're my student. I've always tried to avoid any sense of impropriety."

"Hank, it takes two. Everyone knows I'm your student. We've been to a big time ball together, with very important people. They're not complaining and either am I," Jackie answered back. "I think they might know."

Hank took a deep breath. "Jackie, I don't know, I just don't know. I mean, I never thought I would be in a situation like this. You, the way you are."

Jackie held up her hand. "I understand, Hank. I didn't mean for this to happen. It's all new and strange to me too." Jackie stood up and walked to the den door. She closed it and then walked back to the couch. Standing in front of Hank, she asked, "Do you remember what you said to me that Thursday before Thanksgiving, when I told you?"

"I said a lot things I regret that night," Hank replied sitting up.

"You told me to prove it!" As she finished speaking, she undid the snap and zipper of her jeans. She slowly pulled them and her panties down, wiggling them down. As she did her cock and balls sprung free. There, for Hank to see was Jackie's cock resting on top of her balls which were drawn up tight.

There was an audible gasp from Hank.

Jackie took a step closer.

Hank has seen cocks and balls before from his days in PE and college but none like this one. Jackie was completely smooth, no hairs to be seen. It was a normal looking cock, about three inches long sitting on a small wrinkly sac. He unconsciously reached out to touch it.

It felt soft with a velvety head. As he moved his hand, Jackie flinched. He quickly pulled his hand back.

"That's alright," Jackie said as she pulled her pants back up and zipped up. She sat down on the couch. "Not too many people know. Only people I trust and care about. Now you know." Jackie paused. "I can't change who I am or how I feel about people. I'm pretty sure how I feel about you. I needed to be completely honest with you and maybe I should have told you sooner. Can't you see, it is not an easy thing to do? There, now you know."

Hank said nothing. When he spoke, he sounded confused. "I don't known, Jackie. When you told me that night, I didn't believe you. Now it's all true and yet, I don't know. I have great feelings for you but I don't know."

No one said anything for a full minute of silence.

Jackie finally said, "Look Hank, I don't know what to say or do to make myself any clearer." She stood up. "I better go now. I want to get an early start tomorrow."

Hank stood up. He knew he should say something to ask her to stay. Instead he said, "Yes, you should. You have to get going before the weather gets worse."

They held hands as they walked to the door.

"I'll let you know when I land," Jackie said, "Tell Wendy good-bye for me and she can call me anytime." Again there was that awkward pause. She gave Hank a quick kiss. "Thanks for everything." She turned and went to her car. He waved good-bye.

The Aftermath

Hank walked over to liquor cabinet and took out a bottle of Scotch, the good stuff. He grabbed a glass, dropped a few ice cubes in, and poured in the Scotch. He held the glass up. Three fingers might do the trick. He pounded it down in one swig. He refilled the glass.

"What the fuck was the matter with him?" he asked himself, "He let her just walk out the door, no questions, no conversation, just a stupid 'drive safely.' And what did he expect of her? It is fairly obvious she poured her heart out to him. Christ, it must have taken a lot of gut to do what she did tonight!" He took another gulp.

If all this was normal, he would admit he's was in love with her but it wasn't normal. It was far from it. He collapsed into a chair.

Jackie entered her condo and checked the surrounding. There was nothing left as everything had been packed away. Her pillow and one blanket remained as she planned to sleep on the couch. She checked her watch, 12:05. She had about 3 hours to sleep before she left. She had checked the weather and it seemed the storm was moving a little faster. Than meant there would be snow at home by Saturday morning. She was going to leave earlier than planned.

On the drive back to the condo, she thought about what happened at Hank's house. She felt that she had been honest and upfront with him. She couldn't think of anything else she could have done. Maybe not failing in love with him was the better option but she did. She understood his confusion. It is not every day that your girlfriend drops her pants and a cock pops out. That might be a little upsetting.

She discovered something about herself. She could fall in love with man and Hank was her first. It reinforced all the feelings of becoming a woman, which was what she wanted. She was who she was meant to be. The fact that Hank couldn't love her back hurt but she understood how he couldn't. She was happy that Hank Taylor was her first love. She couldn't have picked a better man.

That Morning

Wendy headed to the bathroom. As she did she saw that the light was still on in the den. She walked towards it, meaning to turn it off. Entering the room she discovered her dad, asleep in the chair. She gently shook his arm. "Dad, are you alright?" she whispered.

Hank slowly opened his eyes. Still half asleep, he sat up and rubbed his eyes. "Yeah," he mumbled, "I'm ok." Becoming more awake, he asked, "What time is it?"

Wendy answered back. "3:45. Why?"

He jumped up. "Look, I have to go somewhere. I won't be long. And nothing's wrong!" He ran out the door, leaving Wendy standing there, confused.

He drove quickly to Jackie's condo. It was already raining when he arrived. He saw that her car was gone but it didn't register in his brain. He stopped his car and ran to her door. He knocked on it loudly. Getting no reply, he grabbed his phone and called her.

Jackie's phone buzzed. Caller ID said "Hank" so she picked up. "Hey what's up?"

"Where are you? You said you weren't leaving until 4." There was a hint of urgency in Hank's voice.

"I know but they changed the forecast so I felt I should leave earlier. I felt it was too early to call you," Jackie explained.

"Where are you now?" he asked.

"Richmond, just turning on to 95 North. Why?"

There was a pause then Hank said, "I thought I might catch you before you left, you know, just to say good-bye."

"I'm sorry we missed each other," Jackie said, "That would have nice."

There was another pause. "Well, drive safely and let me know when you land," Hank finally said.

"I will," Jackie replied, "And give Wendy a hug for me."

"I will. Bye," Hank said ending the call.

As the call ended, Jackie said to the silence. "Love you."

Hank walked slowly back to his car, getting soaked as it rained harder. He felt like a fool, a pretty pathetic one. He just let a fantastic young woman drive away. He made a lame effort to stop her, to talk to her and now she was gone.
