A Little Neighborly Help

Kate and Jenna kissed. "Kate we'll figure this out."

"We'd better and soon." "Your biological clock is ticking too Jenna."

"After two solid years of looking and no good matches!", Kate exclaimed, "God I want a baby growing in me so bad Jenna!"

Kate is tall and athletic. With blue eyes and black hair. She is 6'5"

This day found her wearing black capri pants, sleeveless red blouse and grey running shoes.

Jenna is a bit shorter than Kate, with green eyes and red hair. Jenna is athletic too. She is 6'1" She wore jeans, a green blouse and white running shoes.

Both women are thirty-five.

"Kate, c'mon let's go get a coffee at the cart out front. Let's forget about this a bit. It's a nice day, we can sit on a bench and get some air."

Kate and Jenna sat drinking their coffee, watching people go by.

"So how old are you Petey?" Kate was dying to know.

Petey sighed, and brought out his ID and work badge and handed them to Jenna.

"Wow Petey, impressive. So what does an aircraft dispatcher do anyway?" Kate handed the IDs back to Petey.

"We do flight planning, monitor flights in progress, handle emergencies, weather updates. We work for specific airlines, in my case consolidated Airlines. Air traffic controllers work for the FAA."

"How long have you been doing the job Petey?" Jenna said.

"Two years, I love it."

Kate looked at Petey. "If I may ask, Petey what happened, why are you so little at twenty-two?"

Kate and Jenna noticed that Petey was smiling the whole time he had been talking.

"Where do you live around here Petey?" Kate asked.

"Over there, in unit 6F.", Petey pointed to Kate and Jenna's apartment building.

"Yeah Jenna and I work from home."

"Oh yeah, sounds interesting, what do you publish?"

"Mysteries and Romance Novels." Jenna said.

"Yeah, Jenna and I met in college. We both majored in English and Journalism, and we ran track and played basketball, and we're married."

"That's really nice, say do you guys like stir fry?"

"Love it!", Jenna exclaimed.

"Oh yeah!", Kate confirmed.

"Great, my place, 5:30 pm Saturday, I'm cooking. All you need do is bring your lovely selves."

Petey finished his bagel and coffee and hopped off the chair.

Saturday came, The stir fry was cooking nicely.

Kate and Jenna were impressed at how nice the table was set.

"I have red and white wine, beer, coke, and ginger ale, what's your pleasure ladies?"

Petey poured and set them on the table. He grabbed a coke.

Kate and Jenna watched as Petey served the stir fry from the electric wok. They noticed his portion was significantly smaller.
