Masters of the Opera Ep. 5

Sakura Matsuo has become the new opera house diva and prima donna of the Boston Opera after Bianca Cavanaugh walked out on her contract. Bertrand is more than happy to help boost her career with casting her in the lead role of Cio Cio San in Puccini's Madame Butterfly. Meanwhile, Bianca is now singing at the Chicago Lyric Opera, where she is singing in Bellini's Norma. She has taken up a new lover with whom she is living with, Russian tenor Vladimir Zubov. Bianca has begun her war against her husband Bertrand and his mistress Sakura. First she pays someone to break into their Boston love nest apartment and steal valuable items that Bertrand owns. Then she has someone else vandalize his car. She is also spreading rumors that he has been verbally mentally and physically abusive during their marriage, prepping for the eventual divorce that may follow, wanting to take him to trial in court. Sakura enjoys a successful premiere in Madame Butterfly. Bertrand and Sakura make love and ponder what to do about the problem of his wife and her war against him.
