Steven, as usual, woke up far earlier than I wanted to. I was supremely warm and comfortable curled up against his chest, and I could have remained there all day. Even on the days when the alarm didn't go off, like today, he still rose far earlier than I wanted to. I hated morning people.
Despite being sleepy, and more than a little grumpy he was waking me up so early, I couldn't stop my soft purr of pleasure as he gently ran his fingers through my hair and softly caressed my body. Steven was a good, kind, and thoughtful man, even if he did wake me up far too early every morning.
After a few long moments of gentle caresses and soft murmurs, he gave up trying to rouse any interest from me in waking up, and slowly slid his arm from beneath me. I heard him bumping around in the bathroom, then the soft, pattering roar of the shower. I remained unmoving in the bed, waiting for the noise to stop so I could go back to sleep. I wasn't as warm and comfortable as I'd been when he was lying beside me, but it was better than getting up. After he dressed and left the room, I quickly fell back asleep. I'd make up for my lack of interest this morning to him later.

I woke again at a far more reasonable hour. With a huge yawn and a giant stretch, I waited with sleepy eyes as I listened for the sounds that'd tell me where Steven and William were. I heard nothing. I listened more intently, but I still heard nothing. When the alarm didn't wake the entire house, I normally heard Steven somewhere downstairs. This quiet was as if he'd left the house, like he did when the alarm sounded. Confused by the silence, I tumbled from the bed and hurried downstairs. I quickly checked the entire house, even looking through the windows to see if he was in the yard, but I saw no sign of Steven or William.
William had returned a few days ago, and I wondered if that was the reason the two men were gone. I decided it didn't matter. Steven had never failed to return to me. Steven normally left me breakfast if he was going to leave before I woke up, but he hadn't this morning. I grumbled my annoyance and disappointment to the room as I prowled the kitchen.
I noticed the little plastic bread tab left loose beside the bag of bread on the counter. I couldn't stand that, the little piece of plastic mocking me. It had been a while since Steven, or maybe it was William this time, had left a tie loose, and I was mildly excited that I was going to get to play my game. I quickly knocked the small blue piece to the floor and then nudged it out of sight. I found it endlessly amusing watching Steven hunt for the clip after I'd hidden it, sometimes even checking the trash. I idly wondered how many bread ties were in my preferred hiding place under the stove.
Annoyed over missing breakfast, I decided a leisurely bath would make me feel better. Despite Steven not making my breakfast this morning, I wanted to be fresh and clean for him when he returned. Finished with my bath, I looked out of the window again. It looked like a perfect summer day, so I decided to go visit Ms. Hampton, the elderly woman that lived on the corner. While I enjoyed the attention of men, Ms. Hampton was the only woman I cared anything about. I liked visiting her, and she seemed to appreciate my company as well.
I walked along, enjoying the warm weather, before turning toward her door. Her solid door was open, leaving only the clear door shut. That told me she was home and wouldn't mind company. When I reached the door, I could see Ms. Hampton sitting in her chair watching the television. I announced myself, not bothering with the bell.
She turned and smiled at me as she laboriously rose from her chair. "Wrenn," she said as she opened the door for me. "Did you decide to come visit me today?"
I told her that I had, and how Steven had forgotten to prepare my breakfast.
"Is that so?" Ms. Hampton said as she led me into her kitchen. "Let me see what we have for you."
I waited as Ms. Hampton made us lunch, keeping up my half of the conversation as she told me about her days since I'd last visited. Lunch finished, she returned to her chair, and I lounged on her couch in my favorite spot, the sunbeam warming me pleasantly as we watched the television and I listened to her prattle on about nothing and everything. A couple hours later, after a nice visit, I made my goodbyes. I wanted to see if Steven and William had returned home.
I was ambling along the walk when the child that lived two houses down started tottering toward me, his mother oblivious as she focused her attention on her phone. While I didn't care for woman, except for Ms. Hampton, I positively despised children. As the child stumbled through the grass toward me, I quickened my steps to avoid him.
After the child whirled and tottered off in a new direction as I outpaced him, I slowed to my normal walking pace before I angled off the walk and into the yard of Mike and Robyn. Mike and Robyn were Steven's friends and neighbors, and while I liked Mike, I didn't like Robyn at all. She didn't like me either... not that I cared.
Mike was spreading something on the plants that surrounded his house, and I wanted to see what it was. He didn't realize I was there until I pressed myself against him.
He smiled at me as he paused his work. "Hey, Wrenn. Did you come to help?"
I told him I didn't think I'd be much help, but he didn't seem to mind as he pulled me close and began to slowly caress my body and face. I looked at Robyn as she sat on the steps, narrowing my eyes slightly as Mike held me. I could see the contained annoyance on Robyn's face, but I didn't care. I wasn't forcing Mike to hold and caress me.
It had been the same way a week or so ago when Mike and Robyn were visiting. I'd sat in Mike's lap as Robyn sat in another chair and watched us with her angry eyes. As his hands stroked my hair and caressed my body, I'd nuzzled his neck and chest as I purred in pleasure. It wasn't my fault I had such an effect on men.
After a moment, Mike released me and turned back to his task. I was enjoying his touch, and I'd have let him hold me longer, but apparently he was feeling the glare of Robyn. As I continued home, I made it a point to walk far out of my way to go around Robyn, while looking at her smugly the entire time. She watched me as I swayed away, her eyes cold, until she turned her attention back to Mike.
Back home, I quickly checked the house, but it was as empty as it had been when I left. I was trying to decide what to do when I realized William's computer was laying unprotected on the coffee table. I'd been trying, unsuccessfully, to get on William's computer for more than a year before he left. Normally he took it with him, or locked it in his room out of my reach, but today was my chance.
I had almost two uninterrupted hours on the computer before I heard the big door in the garage going up. I quickly got off the computer, leaving it just as I'd found it. Moments later, both Steven and William came into the house. Seeing me, Steven picked me up to hold me warm and close as he caressed and nuzzled me, but my attention was focused on William.
I'd been living with Steven for seven years, and in that time, I'd watched as William had grown from a large child that I tolerated, into a man. Just as William was starting to become interesting, and I was considering joining him in his bed, he'd left, but now he was back. He was no longer a child, and I no longer simply tolerated him. I didn't know if he was going to leave again, but before he did, I knew I wanted to sleep with him, and I decided tonight would be the night.
After Steven put me down, we went about our business as a family until dinnertime. After dinner, I snuggled with Steven as he watched the television, but I kept my attention on William as he sat in another chair and played a game on his computer. When Steven went into the kitchen, I sauntered over to William to see what he was doing, but he gently nudged me away.
I suppose that was my reward for having rebuffed all his advances in the past, but I wasn't so easily put off. When Steven sat down again, I returned to my place in his lap, where I stayed until he went upstairs to bed. It wasn't unusual for me to stay up after Steven when to bed, but I wouldn't be joining him later like I normally did.
I curled up in Steven's chair, enjoying his lingering warmth and smell as I watched William. He played on his computer for a while longer before going upstairs. I didn't follow immediately, but when I did, his light was still on. I silently peeked around his door to see him sitting at his desk, still playing on his computer. I didn't let it annoy me. We had all night.
I settled to wait, and after another hour or so, William's light went out. I waited several long moments, not wanting to appear too eager, before I rose and silently crept into his room. I was moving so quietly he didn't hear me enter. He started slightly when I joined him in the bed and draped myself across his chest, my lips so close to his I could feel his breath. He was still for a long moment, clearly unsure of what to do. I remained on his chest, purring in pleasure as I nuzzled him.
He finally touched me with a tentative caress, and the sounds of my pleasure grew louder. With my encouragement, his hands became bolder, his caresses more sure and deft, and I began to squirm as my sounds of pleasure became louder still. He was certainly his father's son, knew just how to touch me, and I allowed him to do whatever he wanted to me until we fell asleep.

"Will?" Steven called as he nudged the door wider. "You want some breakfast?"
I wanted to growl in frustration. I didn't even sleep with Steven last night, and he was still waking me up too early. I was stretched across William's chest, as warm and comfortable as any night I'd spent in Steven's bed, and I didn't want to move.
Williams stretched slowly as he yawned and groaned. "What?" he asked sleepily. I hoped that meant he was going to stay in bed a little longer. If he did, I'd found my new bedmate. "Yeah... I guess."
"Wrenn slept with you last night?" Steven asked without a hint of jealousy.
William smiled sleepily. "Yeah." He reached up to softly scratch my ears before slowly running his hands down my body, causing me to purr in pleasure. "Before I left for school, she didn't want to have anything to do with me, but now..."
"Maybe she missed you while you were gone," Steven said with a smile. "Who knows what, or how, a cat thinks. Anyway, if you want breakfast, get up."
"Okay," William groaned with another stretch before his hands softly landed on me as he sighed. "I'll be down in a minute."
