Living Dolls 03
-----------------
I awoke up at 4am after sleeping like the dead as soon as I got home after 8pm.
I groaned and dragged my ass out of bed already hating I was up again but knew I needed to start getting ready.
I shuffled my feet along the floor as I walked into the bathroom not even bothering to turn on a light as I used my finger as a personal feeler as I put toothpaste on my toothbrush and brushed my teeth while I pissed into the shower not trusting myself to aim properly into the toilet in near darkness before I turned on the shower to wash my waste down the drain.
I spit my toothpaste mouth into the shower as I washed my toothbrush in the raining water before I tossed my brush in the direction of the sink not caring where it landed other than promising to pick it up before I left for work when I trusted the lights without blinding my ass.
Then I stepped in the shower welcoming the hot sprinkle of water semi used to the lackluster of pressure in my apartment complex as I got my body wet and started my shower process.
I stepped out still completely forgetting about my new body as again I whacked my head along the rail at the top causing me to curse and rub my head before I remembered, painfully, about my new height.... and wardrobe issue.
I sighed at the realization and made a mental note now that I wasn't going to be working for 24 hours solid that I should be able to get some clothes on my way home after work.
I finished my bathroom process as I rolled on some deodorant, still in the dark, before I exited the bathroom and back into my bedroom.
I rifled through the clothing options again forgetting about my new underwear before I put on a pair of underwear and socks. Then put on my tight jeans that barely fit and put on my shirt that felt like it was painted on. Stuff my pockets with the usual stuff, grabbed my backpack of holding and headed out the door.
My first stop was a local mom and pop hole in the wall place that served decent Mexican but killer breakfast.
I walked in and saw the owner, Phillip, smile at me, "Hey Reece, how's it going? You're getting off work pretty early, aren't you?"
I smirked as I shrugged, "Got changed, I'm on the day shift now."
Phillip eyed me for a second before he noticed my changes, "Have you been hitting the gym or were you always this fit?"
I chuckled, "Recent development, I assure you."
Phillip nodded, "So what can I do for you?"
I smiled, "Any way I can talk you into making me the FATTEST breakfast burrito with nothing but bacon, eggs, and cheese?"
Phillip looked at me quizzically, "How fat are we talking here?"
I shrugged, "Whatever you feel comfortable doing."
Phillip thought about it for a moment before he nodded with a smirk, "One gut destroyer coming up. Give me a minute to build it up. Want it grilled?"
I chuckled, "Is there any other way?"
Phillip nodded as he headed to the back and began building.
About ten minutes later he walked out holding a wrapped item that was as long as my arm and as fat as my new bicep.
My eyes bulged as I grunted, "Holy Jesus!"
Phillip smiled proudly at my exclamation before he handed me the fat long item as I nearly dropped it as it weighed a near shit ton before I recovered looking at him, "Jesus, how many burritos did you use?"
He chuckled as he answered, "Six wrapped together to make one long tortilla." He shrugged, "I may have to cook up some more eggs now that one took everything."
I nodded, setting down the huge breakfast burrito on the counter as I spoke, "So what do I owe you?"
Phillip looked down at the burrito, pursing his lips together before he shrugged, "Let's call it $30."
I nodded as I chuckled, "Fair enough." I reached into my pocket and produced one of the $100 from my wallet from the other day. I smiled, "Accept $100?"
Phillip accepted the $100 and opened his till before handing me back $70 before he grunted, "What do you think?"
I squinted at Phillip, "Smartass." Before I grabbed the arm length breakfast burrito and tipped my head to Phillip as he chuckled then exited his establishment.
When I got into my car I proceeded to put the arm length breakfast burrito into my bag of holding backpack seeing it took a 4x1 square in my mind as the backpack remained empty as I smiled, "I swear this is the coolest thing ever."
I started my car and headed off to the convenience store and stopped at the gas pump.
I walked in semi expecting a different person to be behind the counter but was surprised to see it was Holly standing behind the counter as I stopped and spoke, "What are you doing here, Holly? Don't you usually work the night shift?"
Holly looked at me and instantly smiled and blushed at the same time, "I'm actually waiting for my shift to end and replacement to show up soon."
I nodded as I spoke, "Oh." Then I walked off to the back and proceeded to grab a liter of soda, three energy drinks, two coffees in a can. Then I grabbed a candy bar and another bag of beef jerky before returning to the counter.
I set all the things down as I added, "Can I get $30 on pump six. One of the Set for Life Scratchers. One of the Cash Explosion scratchers. And what the hell 10 quick picks on the Mega Million lotto for tomorrow."
The lotto was running close to 1.8 billion and it was worth buying the ticket.
Holly nodded as she grabbed the scratchers for me and rung the lotto up printing out the ten quick picks and rung up all my items before she replied, "That'll be $151.46."
I pulled out my wallet and gave her a $100 and the change from Phillip as it was a 50 and a 20.
She put the cash in the till and gave me my change before she blushed as she spoke, "So I never got a call this morning."
I smirked at her, "Yeah sorry, I ended up pulling a double shift and am now working days at work."
She nodded as she frowned, "Oh."
As she set everything in a bag and handed it to me I quickly spoke, "How about we do coffee in a couple of days when I'm off? Ok?"
Holly perked up as she smiled widely and nodded, "I'd like that."
I started backing up as I laughed, "Perfect see you then."
As I was backing out that door I accidentally backed into a pair of people causing me to speak, "Shit! I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." As I turned to see the same two police officers from the other day as I sighed, "Shit."
The brunette, Hicks, smirked, "Well well well, if it isn't mister lead foot."
The blonde, Grisham, smirked, "Not running late for work are you?"
Great! Just my luck!
I smiled, "Nope, I have plenty of time." I looked at Hicks, "And thank you SO much for not giving me a ticket. I owe you one."
Hicks smiled, "Did you hear that partner he OWES me one?"
Grisham nodded, "I did."
Hicks smiled, "I 'think' you owe BOTH of us one?"
I rose my eyebrow, "How so?"
Hicks smiled at me, "Well if Grisham here didn't convince me to let you go with a warning I would have given you a ticket."
Grisham shrugged, "I felt bad for you." She smiled at me, "Plus you seemed really sorry."
I looked at Grisham, "Well thank you for that, then."
Hicks smiled, "I have an idea, how about as payment we go for coffee tomorrow morning seeing how you work the night shift."
I blinked as I thought 'Are they hitting on me?' before I coughed and spoke, "Actually I got switched to days now so I'd have to do coffee another time."
Hicks rose her eyebrow at me before she nodded, "Alright, how about we do dinner then. My treat."
I rose my eyebrow for a moment as I confirmed that indeed I was being hit on as I spoke quizzically, "Uhhhhh, sure. I guess."
Hicks smiled, "It's a date, how about two nights from now?" She pointed to Grisham, "Then you can go to dinner with her the following night as payment."
I looked between the two before I looked back at Holly and returned my attention back to Hicks, "Ummmm, my next day off is in four days. Can we do dinner then?"
Hicks looked at Grisham before she shrugged to Hicks and she returned my attention to me, "I can make that work. What's your number?"
I blinked, "Ummmmm," and I spit out my number as I watched Grisham jot it down on a card as Hicks spoke, "Did you get that partner."
Grisham smiled, "Sure did."
Hicks smiled at me, "See you then cutie. I'll text later so you have my number."
She turned as Grisham turned, letting me through as Grisham spoke, "You better hurry before you're late for day shift." As Hicks laughs and walks into the convenience store.
I hurried to my car and barely remembered to start filling my car as I looked at two police officers as I wondered, 'Isn't it illegal for cops to hit on people while in uniform?'
Should I report them to their commanding officer?
I mean they were both cute and they did make it easy for me as they hit on me.
Still so weird to have girls hit on me when I barely can look a girl in the eye before feeling any confidence blow up in my face.
I put the nozzle into my car and selected the '89' grade for my car and waited for the fuel to rush into my car as the price quickly ate at my $30, which it did as I barely put 15 gallons into my car. More than enough for it to last a couple of weeks before I need more.
I put the nozzle away and sealed my tank before I got into my car and moved all the items from the plastic bag to my backpack as it filled in my vision.
Then I looked at time and smiled as I had given myself PLENTY of time as I turned on my car and drove off towards work.
I made it to the parking lot of work and waltzed from my car to the warehouse as I waved my ID to unlock the door and entered.
Again I smiled as I approached security as I handed them my backpack and emptied my pockets before going through the metal detector. I watched as the security guard looked at me in confusion seeing the backpack was completely empty before he handed me back my backpack and I put my things in my pockets.
I moved from security and walked into the break area as I sat down at one of the tables setting my backpack in front of me as I proceeded to pull out the arm length breakfast burrito and the liter of soda.
I looked around and saw near the sink were utensils as I got up and moved over to the sink finding the knife.
I walked back to my seat as I unwrapped my burrito in portion and cut off about five inches of the thick burrito before rewrapping the burrito in the foil and putting it back in my backpack.
I set my backpack next to me and proceeded to lightly eat the breakfast burrito and lightly sipping at the soda as I sat there I got two different texts at the same time both were from unknown numbers.
The first number read: This is Melanie Hicks, the officer that gave you a break. Let me know what your schedule is like so we can plan dinner. I was thinking steak at Sloanes. Let me know so I can make reservations.
The second number read: This is Alison Grisham. I know my partner said dinner but I'm more interested in coffee. Let me know what your schedule is like at your earliest convenience.
I looked at both numbers lightly wondering if they were stalkers or something.
One thing was for sure.... they were blunt and forward.
I sighed lightly wondering how I should handle this situation until I heard the whistle go off saying that night shift was done.
I pinned the thought for another time and shoveled the remaining bite into my mouth and put on my backpack as I held onto my soda as I headed to the check-in.
I found a station and inserted my ID into it waiting for the timing system to pop open before I could clock in.
Then I simply waited as the night shift filed out and the supervisors slowly came in as I quickly found Sophia causing me to wave at her once she passed security.
Sophia approached me, "Hey Reece, how's it going?"
I smiled at her, "Doing pretty good."
Sophia nodded as I followed her to one of the timing stations as she inserted her card as she spoke, "Say, I was going to ask this yesterday but knew you'd probably be too exhausted, but I was wondering if you wanted to get some coffee after work so we can discuss metrics and what not?"
I blinked a little shocked, "Ummm, sure." I looked around for a moment before I spoke, "You sure that's ok?"
Sophia chuckled, "Why wouldn't it be?"
I spoke, "I mean, isn't it against the rules for employees to fraternize during work hours?"
Sophia smiled, "It's not like I'm asking you for a REAL date. This is just to discuss metrics, how to handle the girls, and whatnot."
I sighed out a relief before I smiled and nodded, "Sure, I'd like that." I chuckled, "Whatever I need to do to be good at my job."
Sophia nodded as she clocked in, "Good. Let me show you the beginning report I usually do and start shifting through orders for the girls."
I smiled, "Sounds good."
Then I followed her to her station as she showed me her beginning report that she didn't show me yesterday. Then she had me start shifting through the orders and let me use her system to send which order to what while she looked over my shoulder to make sure I sent the right order to the right person.
She may have corrected me a couple of times but I got the swing of it pretty quickly. If the order was a size 5 in clothing or smaller I had to avoid Jeanette and a few other girls. If the order had certain sexual awareness items I had to avoid a few other girls. And certain jewelry I had to send to her dedicated girls.
Apparently she has established trust with certain girls and was avoiding certain girls with certain items to avoid any issues of theft.
Once I got the orders off and the girls showed up I walked around to introduce myself to each girl so I could start memorizing each girl without having to reference their facial features, ethnicity, or any other aspect.
I quickly learned out of the 33 girls. 17 of them were in the 19-23 range. 10 of them were in the 24-30 range and only 6 of them were 30+.
Then I learned Jeanette was 19 and was only doing this as a means to an end as she was doing a gap year before she went off to college and had only been working for the team for about two months.
Jeanette's plan was to head off to college with enough money to live off her scholarship and try to avoid loans while living frugally as she wanted to become an engineer.
Then there was a girl named Katie who was 24 and was married. She was doing this because her husband was close to graduating college and was hoping to where he was making the big bucks so she didn't have to work so she can start a family.
I memorized roughly ten girls by the end of the day and was hoping tomorrow I used the right name when they came in without embarrassing myself.
By the end of the day I did the ending paperwork and had Sophia double check my work and again I missed a few spots that she fixed.
Then we exited as we both went through security as I got into my car and followed Sophia's grey sedan to a coffee house.
I parked next to her and got out as I carried my backpack on my back.
Sophia looked at me quizzically, "Why do you keep wearing that backpack everywhere?"
I looked back at my back momentarily before looking at Sophia as I spoke, "It's kind of an heirloom and don't want to lose it."
Sophia nodded, "Gotcha."
She walked to the coffee house and walked in as I followed her.
She walked up to the register where a singular girl was lightly cleaning the back table before she spoke without looking back, "Be right with you."
Sophia waited patiently before the girl turned around and smirked at Sophia, "What can I get you?"
Sophia smiled, "Can I get a latte with two extra shots and my friend will have..."
Sophia looked at me lightly as I looked at the menu and couldn't fully decided before I spoke, "Guess I'll have the same."
The girl nodded before speaking, "That'll be $12.50."
Before I could pull out my wallet Sophia waved her phone over the card reader and it chimed saying the purchase was complete causing the girl to smile, "Go ahead and take a seat. I'll bring out your coffee momentarily."
Sophia nodded as she turned to look around the surprisingly comfortable surroundings as she pointed to a corner table, "Mind if we sit there?"
I looked at the table Sophia indicated before I looked at her and nodded.
Sophia nodded and spoke, "We're going to be right over there."
The girl lightly looked up seeing where Sophia was indicating before nodding and returned to what she was doing.
Sophia moved off as I followed her to the table as we approached I took off my backpack of holding and set it aside the chair before I sat down as Sophia sat down across from me.
Sophia got straight to the point, "So Reece, the reason I asked you here is it seems like you're doing well with the girls."
I chuckled, "Yeah I'm trying to be friendly."
Sophia smiled, "Which is fine and it seems like your picking up the paperwork rather quickly."
I spoke, "You're making it sound like I'm stepping on toes or something?"
Sophia laughed, "Hardly, you're picking it up fast and I like that. But my ask is for something else."
I sighed, "Ok, shoot."
Sophia leaned forward, "While I appreciate you coming to our group and it seems like you're picking up things rather quickly. I have to be frank, you're a distraction."
I spoke quizzically, "Distraction?"
Sophia sighed as she nodded, "Yes. You wearing your tight shirts showing off your muscular body making the girl's drool all over you."
I quickly spoke, "If it's my wardrobe I'm going to change it soon." I chuckled, "I just haven't had the necessary funds to purchase new clothing for the new position."
Sophia nodded, "Good, because I let yesterday go because you came from night shift but today you wore that painted on shirt and think of it as a distraction."
I nodded quickly, "After this, I will go purchase newer looser shirts so I won't distract the girls."
Sophia nodded, "See that you do because between your shirt and your pants I find your appearance a distraction."
I nodded quickly, "Yes ma'am."
Sophia rose her eyebrow before I corrected myself, "I mean, 'Yes Sophia.'"
Just then the girl brought our coffees as Sophia was silent and waited for the girl to leave before she took a sip and continued, "Now don't see this as me yelling at you or anything." She smiled, "Because believe me that I was also distracted by your physique."
I looked at her flatly as I spoke, "Oh."
Sophia blushed but spoke, "I just wanted to nip this," she waved at me, "tight clothing in the butt before it distracts my girls too much to where they can't work."
I nodded, "I understand."
Sophia took a sip as she smiled, "Good." She leaned back with a smirk, "Now that that is over, how about we shoot the shit as people to get to know each other."
I rose my eyebrow as I looked at her, "Like a date?"
Sophia chuckled, "Let's start with co-workers getting to know each other to become BETTER coworkers as friends would."
I nodded as I shrugged, "Sure."
Sophia smiled, "So are you with anyone?"
I rose my eyebrow, "Excuse me?"
Sophia shrugged, "I'm just asking. I didn't see a ring on your finger. Just want to know if a girl is appreciating your little tight shirts."
I blurted, "I don't."
Sophia blushed, "Sorry didn't mean to embarrass you."
I looked at her, "Well I wouldn't say I'm embarrassed but a little shocked at your straight forwardness."
Sophia smirked with a shrug, "Eh, when you become a supervisor you have to get used to speaking your mind." She lightly blushed, "Trust me it's not easy to overcome that little fear."
I nodded, "Good to know." I looked at her with a grin, "Then no I don't have a GIRLfriend."
Sophia tilted her head, "You say that like you're indicating you're not into girl's?"
I quickly shook my head, "No, not like that." I laughed, "I just wanted to indicate that I am attracted to girls and no I'm not in a relationship."
Sophia nodded with a smirk, "Gotcha."
I looked at her, "Are you in a relationship?"
Sophia sighed but was smirking, "No, I'm a loser just like you." She chuckled, "Kinda hard to be in a relationship when work takes up roughly half of your day."
I chuckled, "Yeah, trust me I know it. When I was working nights, it was hard to find girls who were equally vampires like myself."
Sophia chuckled, "Don't remind me." She leaned forward, "Do you know how hard it is to tell your friend's you can't go clubbing because you have to work the night shift?"
I shrugged, "That would require friends to actually talk to in my case."
Sophia blinked at me, "You don't have friends?"
I looked at her as I tilted my head side to side, "I do but they're in college and I didn't go." I smiled at her, "I mainly talk to them on my days off online."
Sophia nodded, "Ah, gotcha."
She sipped at her coffee before she spoke, "So what do you like to do in your free time?"
I shrugged, "Game. Watch TV and veg out."
Sophia rose her eyebrow looking me up and down as I spoke, "What?"
Sophia spoke, "I figured you would have said going to the gym."
I chuckled, "Nope."
Sophia smirked, "So all that is natural?"
I looked at myself again remembering my new muscular frame thanks to that doll before I looked at her and smirked, "New development, trust me."
Sophia tilted her head, "What do you mean? New development? Are you on some type of diet?"
I chuckled, "Something like that."
Sophia squinted, "Drugs?"
I held up my hands as I quickly shook my head, "Nooooo!!" I chuckled, "Are you kidding me? If my parents knew I was doing drugs they would kick my ass from here to Timbuktu!"
Sophia laughed at that. She looked at the time before she looked at me, "Well this was a nice get to know you meeting. I need to head home to wind down," she pointed at me, "and you need to get a whole new wardrobe so you're not showing up in painted-on clothing distracting me and my girls."
I chuckled, "Alright."
Sophia stood as she finished her cup and set it down before looking down at me, "I liked this, Reece. We'll have to do this again."
I nodded, "Looking forward to it."
Sophia smiled at me, "See you tomorrow."
And with that she walked away and out of the coffee house while I sat there for a moment lightly wondering where I should go to shop for a new wardrobe.
