September and Samirah have spent their first night together and now they must figure out what it means
Tember woke up to the smell of bacon cooking and soft music playing. "I can't believe I did that last night. What was I thinking? I've never been with a woman," Tember thought to herself. But even as she thought it, she couldn't deny what had to have been the most exquisite night she had ever spent with anyone. Samirah had been the best lover she had ever had. She handled her body like her body was made for her.
She knew that she had to get her thoughts and feelings together. September rose from the bed and made her way to the bathroom. Samirah had a new toothbrush, a washcloth, and a towel laying on the sink. September could only smile to herself. Samirah's thoughtfulness was something she wasn't used to.
September took her shower, all the while having visions of the night before. Her hand, with a mind of its own, traveled between her legs and slid a finger inside herself and slowly rubbed herself into orgasm with flashbacks of Samirah in her mind.
She got dressed in the T-shirt and sweatpants that she found on the bed when she got out of the bathroom. She simply chuckled to herself and slipped her clothes on.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Samirah was having her own mini panic attack. "I think I moved too fast." She ran her hand over her head and sighed. It was too late to turn back now. She had no regrets about last night. She wanted September so bad she could taste it.
As Samirah was lost in thought, she felt hands coming around her waist and a soft kiss on her neck. She leaned back into September, and any thoughts she had about making a mistake faded away.
Samirah fixed them both plates, and the two sat down to eat. Samirah and September just stared at each other as they sat and ate in silence.
Samirah got up to grab the plates.
"Sit down, please, Samirah. We should talk about last night."
Samirah took a deep breath and sat down. She had no idea where this conversation was going, and she was visibly nervous.
September slid her chair closer to her and grabbed her hand. "Samirah, I really like you, but I would be lying if I said that my mind isn't all over the place with my feelings for you. They are very confusing. I have never once had feelings for another woman. But the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew I wanted to get to know you. I knew I wanted to be in your life. Granted, I didn't know in what capacity."
"I waited for you to call or text. I waited with nervous energy. I didn't know what I would say or what you would say to me. I just knew I wanted to find out."
"When you told me you were attracted to me too on that first night we met, I was dumbfounded. Like, how did you know that I found you attractive?"
Samirah smiled. "Tember, it was the way you looked at me. It was the way your body reacted when I walked close to you. I knew you found me just as attractive as I found you. I also knew that you had never been with a woman. I knew that I shouldn't have pursued you, given that our parents are dating. I just couldn't resist you. I had to find out if this could be something real."
"Last night was one of the best experiences with a woman I have ever had. I know that it was all new to you. And I'm sorry if I moved too fast, but I couldn't let the moment pass us by."
September listened to her speak and she didn't interrupt. Honestly, she didn't know what to say at the moment. What was the right thing to say? What were her feelings in this second? She honestly didn't know, but she also knew that she had to have Samirah, and she needed to tell her.
"Samirah, I have to admit that I'm so attracted to you. I'm incredibly attracted to you. You bring out something in me that I have never experienced before. I find myself thinking what it would be like to taste you. To have you on my lips, to feel your wetness on my face. I wonder, Samirah, what it would be like to love you. What it would be like to be called yours. I know that my feelings may be moving fast and that my thoughts may be all over the place. It's just that I can't let this moment pass me by either."
"I can't say that we'll become girlfriends and get married. I'm just excited to see what's next. I just ask that you're patient with me. So, I think that I am going to go home right now because I have a lot to think about. I need to organize my feelings and sort them out. I am not running; I just need to go home so that I can think properly, and if I stay here any longer, I am going to be begging you to take me back to your bedroom."
September leans in and kisses Samirah. "I'll call you when I get home and settled, Ms. Lady."
Samirah shakes her head. "I completely understand, beautiful. Let me walk you to the door." She kisses her again, and September leaves to head home.
As soon as September walks through the door, her sister is literally waiting there with popcorn in hand. "Girl, get in here! I want all the details, don't leave nothing out!"
September replays the whole night to Sapphire. Sapphire's mouth is wide open the entire time. And September's arm is sore from Sapphire slapping her with disbelief.
"Well, shit, September, girl, how do you feel? And you need to figure it out quick because you know it's dinner at Mom's tonight," her sister says.
"What are you talking about? Dinner isn't until next week."
"Yeah, it usually is, but Mom sent out a group text telling us all to come to her house for dinner tonight, and your girl is included in the text. You two probably didn't see it because you two were fucking all damn night."
September looked like she had just seen a ghost. For one, she wasn't ready to see Samirah tonight because she didn't know if they could keep up the just-friends act until they figured out what was going on between them.
And second, she was certain she wasn't going to be able to keep her hands off this woman.
September screams out loud. "SHIT! WHAT THE FUCK?!"
