September and Samirah succumb to their desires but now they may have to deal with the aftermath.
Sapphire looked at her sister, and she could see the nervousness in her face. She knew that her sister had caught feelings for Samirah and that it had happened quickly. She wished she knew the right words to say to put her at ease, but the words would not come this morning. This morning, she needed to be honest with her sister, and she needed her sister to be honest with her. She needed to talk to both of them together. Sapphire pulled out her phone and texted her brother, Andre and Samirah to tell them that they both needed to meet her at September's house now.
Once she had finished sending the text, she went and got September and herself a glass of wine. She handed September a glass before she spoke. "Here, drink this and calm your nerves." September looked at her sister and nodded her head. She cradled the glass in between her fingertips and folded her legs up on the couch. "Look, September, I know you're about to be pissed at me, but I texted Samirah and Andre and told them to come over here right now. We need to talk, and everyone needs to be on the same page. I don't want Andre to be caught off guard by this, and you, too, need to figure out your feelings or your next move. I am not trying to rush you; it's just with mom calling and an impromptu dinner, you have to figure, as we do, that she has some news that she wants to share."
September just listened to her sister talk; she didn't say anything, she just kind of sat there as if in a daze. As the seconds turned into minutes and the minutes into hours in her mind. She began to feel like the walls were closing in, and she began to regret her decision again. She knew that she had perhaps moved too fast with Samirah, but she just couldn't help it. She was drawn to her in a way that she didn't understand and it was that pull that had her most confused. She knew that this illicit love affair could turn ugly quickly. Their mom had a hard enough time adjusting to her sister's fluid sexual nature. For a long time she wouldn't even talk to Sapphire. It was September, and her brother Andre, who finally got their mom to get over herself. Eventually, she did, and she accepted Sapphire fully. But she knew this was different. It was one thing for September to like girls. It was another thing altogether for that girl to be the daughter of her current love interest.
September and Sapphire sat there in silence for what felt like an eternity. They had finished the first bottle of wine and were working on the second one when Andre walked in. The siblings had decided early on in life that each would always have keys and unrestricted access to each other's homes. Andre just walked right in and headed to the kitchen and brought back a beer, and planted himself in the middle of the floor.
This scene with both the sisters curled up on the couch and Andre sitting on the floor nursing a beer was the way they always met up when they needed to talk or were even just hanging out at each other's house.
Andre took a swig of his beer before setting it down on the floor beside him. "So what's so important that it couldn't wait until we all meet up at Mom's later today? Before either September or Sapphire could speak. There was a knock on the door. September took a big, ragged breath, and Sapphire held and squeezed her hand and gave her a reassuring look that only a sister could give.
Andre got up and opened the door. He noticed automatically that something was off because when he realized that it was Samirah at the door, he noticed the same uneasy look on her face that his sister, September, had. He made a mental note of it and invited her in. "Come on in, Samirah, we're just all sitting in the living room. She just shook her head and walked in. She hugged Sapphire, and Sapphire whispered in her ear. "Just breathe, we're here to figure this out." She just hugged her tighter, and when they left the embrace, she locked eyes with September, and September locked eyes with her, and September stood to her feet to embrace her as well.
This embrace held something different, something that was unspoken but screamed so loudly. Without either one of them realizing just how real it was, they had bonded in a way that tethered them to each other. When their bodies came in contact with one another, they both inhaled each other's scent and exhaled. They stored the feeling of this moment in their mental Rolodex.
Samirah released the embrace because if she held onto September any longer, they would soon be locked in a passionate embrace. She stepped back and looked at the beer in Andre's hand. "Do you think I could get one of those?" she asked him. He nodded and darted into the kitchen and was back in a flash.
He handed her the beer and sat back down on the floor.
Sapphire got up and sat on the floor next to her brother. "Samirah, why don't you sit on the couch next to September. Samirah whispered "thank you" before sitting down.
Again, the silence was deafening. Andre was the first to speak. "Look, September, are you and Samirah fucking or something?"
Tears streamed down September's eyes. Sapphire reached up and placed a hand on her sister's knee and squeezed. Timidly, Samirah took her hand into both of hers and held it there. She didn't know what to say. She had know idea how or where to start.
She opened her mouth, but know words came out; only more tears. She held her head down in shame. She didn't know how her life seemed to have been turned upside down so quickly.
Suddenly, Andre stood up and came close to his sister. He pulled her to her feet and pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly. Their father had left them at a young age, and even though he was the youngest of the three, he had always been very protective of his sisters. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them. He loved them to death, and to see his sister look like she was hurting instantly hurt him. He needed her to know that he was here and that nothing would change that. He simply kept telling her he loved her and nothing would ever change that. After a few tense minutes, she finally calmed down, and they released each other from the embrace. Andre sat back on the floor, and September fell back onto the couch. When she did, she noticed that Samirah had moved closer to her on the couch. Samirah resumed holding her hand.
September looked at that small gesture of affection and smiled. She looked back and Andre. He put his hands up. "I know, I know that something is going on between you two. Both of you have that same lost look in your eyes." He paused before he finished speaking, looking back and forth from September to Samirah. "I support whatever this is; I will always support what makes my sister happy." "This issue, of course, is that we have all been summoned, and honestly, it could only mean one thing."
Samirah sighed and fell back into the couch, rubbing her hands down her face. "I was thinking the same thing." All four of them spoke at the same time. "They're getting married."
All four of them had panic written all over their faces. Neither one of them said anything for about ten minutes. All of their thoughts were on what this night could hold. One thing was for certain: September felt slightly better knowing that her siblings supported her. This new path of self-discovery that she was on was a lot to take in on her own. She suddenly stood to her feet. She looked at her brother and sister and mouthed the words "I love you to both of them."
She then took Samirah's hand and guided her to the back towards her bedroom.
Andre stood to his feet. "Ahem, look, I support you two and whatever this is ya'll have going on. But I am not about to sit here and twiddle my thumbs while you two go back there and lick each other or whatever it is you do."
September held her sides as she doubled over in laughter. "Andre, I am not about to go back here and have sex. Samirah and I need to talk, so could you give us a few minutes?"
Samirah looked down at how tightly but confidently September was holding her hand. She walked in the door, so unsure of what would happen. She had been beating herself up all morning for taking such a drastic step with September last night. She couldn't help herself. She was drawn to her. She felt that this thing, whatever it is, was real. She needed September to know that she supported whatever she decided; she just wanted to be in her life.
She suddenly felt a hand on the middle of her back. This small touch brought her back to her senses. She let September guide her to the bedroom in the back. She took in the beauty of it. September's bedroom had neutral tones of brown and cream. The bed was a large circular shape. It was on a floating platform with large pillows and a thick duvet cover. The bedroom had a minimalist sort of vibe; it had everything that you needed, but was clean and well put together.
September pushed Samirah back on the bed and climbed on top of her. She slid her hands up Samirah's shirt, grabbing and softly pinching her nipples. She softly bites her earlobe before sliding her tongue between Samirah's lips, kissing her deeply. Samirah was caught off guard, but she found her groove quickly. September was surprising her with her forwardness. She felt her fingers swiftly enter her pants and make their way inside of her. September slowly stroked her clit, building the fire deep within her. She tried to stifle her moans in the crook of September's neck as she quickly and surprisingly expertly brought her to a strong climax. September pulled her fingers out of Samirah and stuck them in her mouth. She watched as her eyes rolled back in her head from tasting Samirah's juices on her fingers. She was at a loss for words.
September sneakily climbed off of her and slid to the side of Samirah. Samirah just panted slightly, trying to regain her composure.
September simply smiled at Samirah. "I know I said that we just needed to talk, but the minute we got in this room, all I could think about was touching you, kissing you, and tasting you. I wanted to taste the nectar directly from the source. However, I wouldn't be able to get away with that with Sapphire and Andre out there. So you on my fingers was the next best option!"
September sat up on the bed and slid to the edge. She patted the spot next to her, and Samirah slid her body down to the end of the bed. The two ladies just looked at each other and brought their foreheads together. And inhaled one another. The time between the two always seemed to slow. And everything around them seemed to fade away. No words needed to be spoken. They knew that whatever this was between them was real.
Samirah was the first to speak. "Baby, I have no idea what got into you, but all I can say is that I loved it. I think that we should just see what the big news is that our parents have for us, and then we can decide what to do after that. Right now, I say we all go out for lunch because I know tonight is going to be interesting." Tember nodded her head in agreement and grabbed Samirah's hand and spoke with assurance, "I trust that we will make the best decision with the purest intentions in our situation that will lead us down the path we're meant to follow. Only you and I can write our story, baby. So, even if it's written in a way no one else understands, we do, and that's all that matters!"
