Accidental Revelations Ch. 20

Minerva blushed slightly as she explained, "I drank some of Cody's blood the night before yesterday and woke up with my collar overfilled, I couldn't speak without releasing a sound wave."

"So you came here to what? Have the power taken from you safely?" Rosa asked, not fully understanding.

"No, it was too much to handle so we went out to one of the empty fields and I unleashed a scream that could be heard for miles," Minerva finished pulling her wings up to hide her face.

Rosa looked shocked and asked out loud, "How powerful was that scream?"

"Powerful enough to be felt from the house, the field she used is about a mile and half out from the house, the windows shook from it," Amell answered.

"I was present when she did it, me and another healer and Cody where at least over five hundred feet away from her and we were pushed by the shockwave, it flattened all the plants in a hundred foot radius," Beatrice added, causing Minerva to further hide herself.

"Dear Minerva, move your wings," Rosa asked.

Minerva put her hands down and looked up at Rosa embarrassed, Rosa reached forward putting her hands on Minerva's throat, she felt around then leaned closer shifting her human ear to a bats ear, "Breath heavy then sing the alphabet." Rosa told Minerva.

Minerva did as told, once she was done Rosa stood and looked at Beatrice, "I'll admit you and your friend did very well to heal her throat, sadly there's a lot of damage still, nothing you can heal but I can."

Beatrice looked offended as she answered, "I'm sorry but we did the best we could considering her physic, from all the tests I ran I'd say she's perfectly healed."

Rosa changed forms but kept her hands human, "Sorry dear, when it comes to bats there's no better healer than me. Now Minerva, tell no one what I am," Rosa said to both Beatrice and Minerva in turn.

Minerva stared in surprise at Rosa, "I won't, but so you know Alice and Keagan won the bet."

"Good for them, now I need... dragons please let me connect to my domain to get something for her," Rosa said as she put her hand into light sucking flames pulling nothing out.

After a few moments Rosa felt something shift and she put her hand back in pulling out an old looking water skin, it seemed to fill itself as she held it up to Minerva's lips, "You two might want to cover your ears," Rosa said as she leaned down realising a vibration into Minerva's collar while she drank from the water skin.

Minerva seemed to moan from the taste and relief, the vibrations continued causing the bed to vibrate, the whole room started to vibrate, Rosa stopped and turned back into her human form while pushing the water skin into the black flame, "There, that's healed your throat completely, next time don't unleash the scream like that, come to this place again and meditate to dissipate the power, understood." Rosa told Minerva who nodded.

Amell pulled his fingers from his ears and shook his head lightly, "Ready to go?" he asked Rosa.

Rosa walked towards him nodding, "Yes let's go."

Rosa looked behind and smirked seeing a lot of people put fingers in their ears trying to stop the ringing. She exited the nest a lot with Amell and sighed, "I'll get going now okay," Rosa said, pulling hellfire from within to return to her contractor.

Rosa froze as she felt a powerful presence seem to loom over her pressing into her, the shadows around her darkened and shifted almost reaching out for her, "STOP," Amell yelled out loud, "She was invited here and is allowed to leave."

Rosa looked genuinely terrified and looked to Amell asking, "Why didn't they do anything till now?"

"You were in the house that's why, he watches over the land that belongs to my family in return we give him humans to live off of," Amell explained as the presence pulled back.

"You have a four winged guardian angel protecting you and an overlord of sloth protecting your land? Just how powerful is your family?" Rosa asked in disbelief.

Amell smiled as he answered, "Extremely, where also one of the oldest families in the world, I think you can leave now."

Rosa pulled hellfire to herself again and felt a watchful presence but this time it just watched, "Farewell," Rosa said before the flames engulfed her.

As Rosa travelled through Hell hearing all sorts of cries, screams and moans she felt them vanished as she burned through the walls of reality separating Hell from the plain of the living, she smirked as she watched Cody jump as she appeared beside him in his truck, "Where the fuck did you come from?" Cody asked with a slight hitch to his voice. He looked around and noticed no one saw her coming.

"Your house, give me your hand, I'm supposed to give you something," Rosa said, holding out her hand.

Cody looked confused as he held his out to, "What is it?" Cody asked as Rosa grabbed his hand and pushed the dragon's gift into him, Cody's eyes went wide as he felt it, Rosa watched in amusement as a pink glow engulfed his body before focusing on his privates, Cody looked uncomfortable as he shifted around.

"I've healed him fully and even healed Minerva, your uncle required something more to fully heal so we went to the nest where we were confronted by a horde of dragons, he's fine now and that was given to me to be passed to you," Rosa explained as she watched him rub his privates, "Are you okay?" Rosa asked him.

"Yup, sore balls," Cody sighed as he continued, "She told me I should have learned to control myself by now, the discomfort is a reminder to not lean on the gifts and continue to learn about myself," Cody explained as he leaned forward lifting himself up a bit and adjust his pants.

"Self control is a great thing to learn," Rosa said, watching in amusement as Cody squirmed.

"Your welcome, Now I'm going to go back home and relax, today was far more exciting than I like," Rosa said as hellfire engulfed her, taking her back to her domain at the blood bank.

Cody watched as the flames took her then shrunk to a pinpoint before puffing into smoke, Cody looked up and noticed Manny watching him. Cody gave a thumbs up to him Manny nodded and turned back towards the R. V.

Cody watched as people came in and out of the building covered in white suits, knowing that Commissioner Woodlock left Cody got out and walked towards the vans, once reaching them he asked, "Hey is travis available?"

"Yes, he's down there right now, I'll get him in one moment," the woman answered.

"Thank you, I'll wait near the entrance," Cody said walking towards it.

Cody watched the same women go down, after a few moments Travis came up and asked, "What do you need sir?"

"I just wanted to ask how long this will take and if I should go home," Cody asked Travis.

"Well since most of the evidence we needed was in that bin all we have left to do is match the scene to the story, plus take away the bodies, maybe two days, or we might finish today with how many people we have working on it," Travis answered.

"Sounds like I should head home then," Cody said.

"Yes, staying here won't be of any real help," Travis said, trying to be polite.

"Fair enough, I'll head out soon then, in the meantime can my contractors continue working at all?" Cody asked, pointing to the rest of the massive building.

"Yes, They should be able to keep working on most things, they just need to be careful around where we are working, don't want any contamination," Travis answered.

"Thank you, I'll talk to the contractors then, have a good day," Cody said while turning away.

"You as well," Travis said before going back into the basement.

Cody spotted Chuck and Kelsie by their vehicles with a lot of other workers, as he neared them he said, "Hey guys, you feel like working still? You can continue but need to be careful around the basement area."

"Ya we were planning on asking about work, right now where just informing all the guys about what's going on," Kelsie said holding up a phone.

"Oh what have you told everyone?" Cody asked.

"Just that we found a secret basement filled with victims that the hunters tried to hide, everyone knows the rumors but now we have confirmation," Kelsie explained.

"I just came into this world, are the Hunters some kind of worst kept secret type thing?" Cody asked, wondering how everyone knows about a so-called secret group.

"Every demi knows about them and those that know about demis, normal humans don't know about them and when they find out they're either recruited or silenced," Chuck answered him while Kelsie spoke into the phone.

"Got it so pretty much if you know you know kinda thing," Cody said as he looked back at the building where some of the workers were on the roof and in cherry pickers.

"So what's the plan now? You have a whole new room and a pretty big one at that," Chuck asked Cody as Kelsie made another call.

"No clue, I know for a fact I'm going to make some kind of memorial for the victims in the small park at the front, any ideas for the basement?" Cody asked the rest of the crew.

Most of them shrugged or mumbled, one guy spoke up saying, "Why not make it some kind of personal gym or man cave?"

Cody looked thoughtful as he nodded his head, "That sounds good, Maybe I'll make it into a cave then, some place just for me."

"The basement is about eight feet tall roughly, we could underpin the whole room while the buildings mostly empty make it about ten to twelve feet deep," A contractor added.

"That'd work but we could go deeper and make it an inground pool, leave room in the back area for a proper back yard," Another contractor said from a different truck.

"Knowing the ground area in this area we could go twenty feet deep and even make a bat cave kinda thing, a secret tunnel into the water and one that leaves the building letting him put cars in the basement," A contractor joked from the bed of a truck.

Cody chuckled and said, "I like the batman idea, I also like the pool idea think we can merge them? Make the pool deep while also giving an area for relaxation behind it. I'm thinking of an indoor pool for the family all year round and a batcave for me in the back, make it a loft? Home theater on the loft with a bar and game tables like pool or air hockey in the bottom portion?"

Most of the contractors looked at each other nodding, one said, "Hey boss, I think that can be done, but if we do that the best best would to pull up the concrete floor and redo the supports to better stand the weight of the extra floors, we all thought it'd hold since it was solid ground but with the basement their it could pose a problem."

Kelsie nodded as he said, "You're right, the whole thing might have collapsed with the new floors, especially with the vet equipment and the extra support for the top floors that would consist of your apartment. You were down there what did the support beams looked like."

"I can't tell you, I think it was I beams, but the pillars where either brick or the brick was used to wrap around the support pillars," Cody answered.

"What did the ceiling look like?" Kelsie asked Cody.

"No clue it was paneled." Cody said, shrugging.

"Great, we can't tell until they're done. Let's start on the other building then, get that steel floor cut up and reinforced. Guy, you and your crew get your waders ready and start to clean up the engine room and find that leak, make sure nothing gets into the main building," Kelsie said to his crews.

Chuck looked at his two guys and said, "Go down with them and start going over that engine, let's see if it can be salvaged or if it's scrap."

"Fuck me, were going to need masks and bags for that, we stopped from completely draining it cause of the rodent bodies down their boss," One guy said looking disgusted.

"Jobs a job, Bob, get it done and I'll throw you an extra few days off how bout that," Kelsie said giving him an annoyed look.

Bob hemmed and hawed before saying, "Guarantee me Halloween weekend so I can have fun with my kids."

"Deal, get to it," Kelsie said, putting a reminder in his phone.

"It can't be that bad can it?" Cody asked.

"Sir there's at least a few hundred tiny skeletons in the water and a dozen or so rotting bodies in the last foot of water, just going near the building stinks," One of Bob's crew members said.

"There's no big bones are there?" Cody asked nervously.

"The biggest thing in there is probably a raccoon," Another guy said.

"That's good," Cody said watching some of the guys change into waders and put on face masks.

"I think I'll head out soon and get back home, nothing much I can do here other than get in the way. Unless you guys have anything to add?" Cody said, looking at Chuck and Kelsie.

"Do you really want to make an inground pool in the basement along with a private room?" Kelsie asked, looking slightly worried.

"No, the pool would be nice but not needed. I'm thinking of shrinking it down and shifting it slightly, putting it fully underneath the home and making it a loft area for me. I am going to want a place for me to go and relax," Cody said, Kelsie looked relieved.

"What does the loft look like to you?" Kelsie asked.

"Simple, the top area will have a futon and home theater system while the lower portion if going to be left bare, I'll make my own area with it myself," Cody answered.

"No carpeting or flooring?" Kelsie wondered?

"Nope, just concrete or if you're feeling particularly lazy no flooring at all, just rock and stone," Cody said.

Kelsie smirked as he nodded, "Got it, I'll have to talk and plan with Aaron about the support structure, Thankfully filling in the basement will definitely help with support."

"Sounds good, message me if you need anything or want confirmation," Cody said as he turned and walked back to his truck.

"As always boss," Kelsie called out while Chuck waved.

Cody reached his truck and started to leave, Kelsie looked at his guys and said, "Project just got bigger guys, Since their going to be in the basement for a bit how you get the jacks and tear up the concrete where the parks going, Chuck you should help by finding wires and pipes,"

"I found most of them already and marked them but sure I'll get ready to look again, Not much I can do anyway since I can't access the breakers," Chuck said.

Cody pulled into his underground parking spot and stepped out, he walked over to the windows and watched the three big reptiles checking on them before going back up, he stopped at the second floor and check on the other snakes, while he was there he heard the Elevator go down and decided to go up, when the elevator opened he saw that it was Minerva along with two security men and one women, "Oh I didn't realise what time it is," Cody said as all three stood straighter upon seeing him.

"Yes sir, we've come to pick up the misses who are going to the Starlight Garden for tonight's show. Since we were coming here we brought Miss Bellomi with us," The small woman said as the lift went up.

"Got it, I'll give her a heads up then," Cody said as he walked into the room, he saw Eveline and Carly talking to each other quietly, while Sarah was cooking dinner.

"Hey Eveline, you still wanted to go to the show tonight right?" Cody asked as he put his keys down.

"Yes, why?" Eveline answered.

"You can go but you'll be going as a member of the Draechon household, so you're going to have to look the part and act it, she'll give you some pointers and help you dress the part," Cody explained pointing to the small woman.

"Do I have to?" Eveline asked, standing.

"Yes since you're using the private booth reserved for my family, this isn't negotiable, sorry," Cody said, trying to be nice.

The woman stepped forward and said, "My name is Rosalie but you can call me Rose, I'll be giving you some light etiquette training and applying some makeup. Do you have any dresses or formal clothing here?" Rosalie asked.

"Umm no, Most of the formal is at my old house," Eveline said walking to the Lift.

"Do you have heels or formal shoes?" Rosalie asked noting Eveline's choice of footwear.

"At my old house," Eveline said, sounding slightly embarrassed.

Cody watched them enter the lift and descend, "Do you think she'll be okay?" Carly asked Cody watching her sister leave.

"Of course, how'd the chat go between you two?" Cody asked as he sat down, Minerva walked to the room she was staying in and closed the door quietly.

"Hard to say, Eveline doesn't really know what to do when it comes to mom but she also knows that mom can't be a part of our life anymore if we want to be with you, the convo with dad helped her and Garnet was they key part in all this," Carly answered.

"How so?" Cody asked as Minerva came back out wearing a long but light poncho like dress.

"Well Eveline, as she explained, was on the edge about everything and was genuinely thinking about just leaving and going into hiding to avoid all this, she was lost and confused with no idea on what to do. She believed that she was useless to others because she knew she was a tool used by mother, Garnet broke that train of thought and pretty much brute forced the idea that she can make her own choices into her head then glued them their by fucking her brains out," Carly explained.

"That's good, what did you two figure out?" Cody asked.

"Well Eveline wants a life similar to mine, family, kids and maybe a job or hobby, but she doesn't want to take away from me and before she does all that she wants to talk to Garnet about some things and see how that goes. If what Eveline said is true I think they both fell for each other hard and fast, I haven't seen Eveline act like this since her first high school crush," Carly said as Sarah finished dinner and made plates.

Cody looked surprised as he said, "Really? That sounds cute, what was she like?"

Sarah looked at them then asked, "What are you talking about?"

Then there's the potential for organ damage, in this form our bowels can be torn by a stray kick, having kids can be dangerous, I can remember a few adults dying in the process or while giving birth, I'm lucky since my mother was human."

"I didn't think it would be that dangerous, I know there can be complications but that sounds pretty bad," Cody said, looking reserved.
