Gods of Lust 1987

This is a spin off story based on my series Gods of Lust from back in 2024. Zeus and Poseidon talk to Athena and ask her to take them to the future to once again explore the world of mankind and it's potential. Zeus and Poseidon hope somehow to return to power even after man has stopped believing in them. Hera, Zeus's wife, the queen & mother of the gods, demands that she join them as well. Zeus strongly objects but during their heated argument, Athena, hoping they would learn a valuable lesson, uses her spear and whisks them all away to another place and time in the future. They land in 1987 in Manhattan New York City. Once again, Zeus becomes Zen Dion, a multimillionaire real estate tycoon. Hera has assumed the identity of Zen's bitterly angry and vindictive ex wife Anna, who vows to destroy her ex husband's reputation. Poseidon has become Paul Waters, himself a successful multimillionaire real estate tycoon. The gods are caught in a 1980's Dynasty TV show style drama. Zeus is having indiscriminate casual sex with as many different women in the city as he could get. Poseidon is also having a lot of sex with various women. They are engaged in a competition and battle for moving up in the world of high finance in Manhattan trying to get to the top. They become jealous rivals and fight one another trying to smear each other's reputation through the media and through scandals. Hera as Anna goes to a tabloid newspaper editor to dish details about her marriage and how she believes her husband Zen was not only abusive but possibly a rapist. The scandal of her story begins to take it's toll on Zeus who loses lovers and girlfriends as a result. Hera runs for Governor of New York but so does Zeus. Meanwhile the fight between Poseidon and Zeus escalates to the point that Zeus orders a hit on Poseidon. Meanwhile, Athena, back in her role as Marlena Pallas, a professor of antiquities at Columbia University, realizes that the fights between Zeus, Hera and Poseidon is corrupting them and darkening their spirit. She is pursued by Don Beardsley who claims to still love her even after she caught him cheating with female students at his college. Athena uses her power to save Poseidon from being killed under the contract out on him. She then confronts her father and tells him that they need to go back to Olympus and rule with justice and goodness, which they have forgotten in their mortal identities of greedy, ambitious, corrupt New Yorkers. Zeus agrees that he has done wrong. Athena invites Hera, Poseidon and Zeus separately to a masquerade party. When they take off their masks to reveal their faces, Athena uses her spear to whisk them back to Mount Olympus. Hera resumes arguing and fighting with Zeus, Poseidon returns to attend to his priests and worshipers, and Athena is glad that their time back in the future of the greed is good 1980s did not fully corrupt them.
