This is a continuation or sequel to my series AMERICAN HEIRESS from 2024. The year is 1981. Stephanie Winthrop is now 21 years of age, She is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, and her deceased beloved father Marshall Winthrop's heiress, having inherited a large fortune and real estate, including hotels. Stephanie hired professionals to manage the hotel business for her, leaving her financial freedom and time on her hands to do with whatever she pleases. Stephanie's primary residence is in Manhattan, New York City. She has a boyfriend, Wesley, who lives with her, and depends on her financially, for he is nothing more than an aspiring novelist with no money or prospects for the future. Their relationship is experiencing a decline, so to reignite their sparks, they decide to spend a year in France between 1981 and 1982 and would return to the US in 1983. Stephanie buys a townhouse on the Avenue Foch in Paris. She purchases a Harley motorcycle. Wesley is also a motorcyclist and they both ride in the same motorcycle with Stephanie in the back and head out from Paris and into the countryside south of Paris. When the motorcycle breaks down, and they are in an unfamiliar region, Stephanie and Wesley argue and part ways. Wesley decides to go to another part of the country on his own. Stephanie takes the motorcycle to be fixed by a married family man mechanic, Jacques, in Bonneval sur Arc a little village at the foot of the French Alps. Jacques, age 47, seduces Stephanie and they begin to have an affair. But soon Stephanie tires of his domineering ways and when the motorcycle is made ready, she sets off on her journey once more. Stephanie misses Wesley and even spots him in the nearby city of Chambery but her pride does not allow her to reconcile and she goes forward with her solo road adventure in France.
