Depths of Chaos Chapter 3
This story is part of a series. Although it can be read on it's own, parts of the story may make more sense when read in order. I highly recommend reading the story "The Demon" in order to discover the origins of our beloved Kali. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy.
Kali gripped the headboard. Her back arched as Simon's tongue plunged between her inflamed nether lips. Her entire body burned with need as he assaulted her. Her wings spread across the rest of the bed for his hands to stroke and caress. Even as his tongue worked her fire, he used her wings to stoke the blaze even higher.
When Kali stared into the bathroom mirror, she realized that she might be able to resist the hunger if she retained control as he reached his climax. And, perhaps, she could be brought back to those heights by someone else doing things that wouldn't reduce their own defenses. She knew that the key to the demon's bonds had been the ability to torment his victims until their own bodies betrayed them. It had been a combination of her control, and his lack, that had allowed her to defeat him. Now, it was her lack of control, combined with the defenselessness of release, that allowed her powers to drain her victim.
There were, of course, other possibilities. It could be that the man had been drained because his actions had reminded her of the demon. Her body and soul reacted as they had then; invite him in and render him defenseless in order to drain him. Or, he could have been drained because he was inherently malicious, or even because he simply threatened her. But Kali wasn't willing to take those risks. Simon seemed a genuinely kind person. The most she was willing to risk was to bring him to the edge of pleasure and deny him because she felt her control slip.
Fortunately, that hadn't happened. Instead, his hot seed had filled her mouth and his body had responded to her slightest touch. The only other time she had done that had been for an ex. Shortly before he'd exploded, he'd grabbed her hair and pushed himself into her throat. As she choked, and tried to recover from a few spastic thrusts, he'd pulled free to paint her face. It had stung her eyes and filled her throat. She'd been leery about a repeat performance, but Simon seemed worth the attempt.
Kali had been terrified that she had still drained his very life, when his body hung limp afterwards. There had been much the same feeling as the two times previous. Something in her soul rejoiced, as she milked the salty juices from him. She felt something within him open to her. She explored what he offered and, yes, a small part of her reached out to grab for it. But she was in full control. Instead of a hook, she caressed that intangible Simon, and a fresh wave of ecstasy had passed through him. More of his lust offered itself to fill her body.
She had been so relieved when she saw him move that she nestled her head between his legs, to rest against the silk folds beneath his soft member. She didn't remember when she removed his pants, but in that moment she had been glad she did. With her cheek pressed into his warmth, Kali had never felt as intimately connected with anyone, or as safe. Even when his hands began to caress her wings, and stoke her merely banked lust into an inferno, she could not imagine he intended her harm.
The feeling didn't even disappear, minutes later, when he swept down and carried her to the bed. He tossed her, with remarkable ease, onto the soft mattress. Kali watched as Simon sloughed off his shirt. His body was strong, well honed. Her depths had clenched just seeing the bare form at the foot of the bed. As he crawled towards her, used her legs as cross-hairs for his target, she quivered with anticipation. She began to lose control and knew she would wrap herself around him, even if he'd wanted to be inside her. When he stopped, with his head poised above the black curls of her loins, she squeaked.
Simon's hands found her wings and began to trace designs on the supersensitive flesh. It was that moment that Kali realized he had figured out exactly what sensation the action inspired. With just these new limbs, he could bring her to the very edge of sanity and hold her there, it seemed, indefinitely. Her breath caught, and she watched his head sink. Her head began to swim from asphyxiation as the seconds poured by.
Simon placed a simple kiss on her burning lust.
Kali screamed as her body relaxed and tensed all at once. Her depths opened wide to him. Simon's tongue dove down and began to collect the cream that rushed from her. Her hands flew upward, to grip the headboard. Her back arched once, then her hips and shoulders began to buck wildly. Hands stroked her wings and she convulsed against herself. With the simple tormented delight, he had broken her body's ability to vent the energy that built within her.
Even as the pressure, the trapped tension and the euphoria all built within her, a small part of Kali noted this still could not exceed what Tral'zla'thor had done for her; done to her. Even with the novel, and supernaturally sensitive wings to bedevil her with, it was only physical. On that comparison it matched the demon. But she lacked the glory, the power, that had come as she utterly consumed it, or the hapless man.
His tongue continued to swirl and slather across her swollen bud. She fought to writhe, she fought to buck, she fought to do more than scream her bliss. Her muscles trembled, caught between the warring instructions. She couldn't take much more. Kali could barely feel her heart race. Her breath shortened as the pressure seemed to expand outward from her immobile hips. Her body froze. Sensation stopped. Time ceased to exist.
Kali never noticed Simon's other hand move until it wrapped around the base of her tail. In that place, where existence seemed to negate, he captured her very soul. Anything he asked, she would grant.
The moment passed and his hand glided down the length of her tail. Her screams doubled, tripled, or more. Even more than her wings, Kali's body was paralyzed by this touch. Her screams proved her only deliverance as sensation mounted her towards Nirvana. His tongue never stopped. He continued to circle and devastate her tender flesh.
His hand reached the barbed tip of her tail. As his thumb traced the concave junction of leathery flesh, Kali revised her earlier belief. Nothing had ever felt this good. Her body shook and twitched as her muscles fired at random. Her screams turned to soft moans as the energy left her. Her mind continued to soar higher and higher on his cloud of euphoria, even as his tongue stopped working. His hand tickled and traced the tip of her tail.
The world went black. She floated, free of her body. Only one anchor existed to the physical world; the very tip of her barbed tail. The sensation had changed once more. Added to the highly intense surge of orgasm, was something she had not imagined could be mixed with sex. Within the wet warmth that seemed to surround her, was a feeling of comfort and safety.
Weak, her head rolled to look down at Simon. The way his lips caressed the dull point of her barbed tail reminded her of her own actions shortly before. His eyes watched her expression. She smiled dully back, unable to muster anything more than then whimpers of exhausted pleasure. His tongue slipped from between his lips. He traced the interior of her barb. Kali's body shuddered once and a wave of pure blissful sensation dragged her from consciousness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Simon saw the whites of Kali's eyes as they rolled back, and knew that she had passed out. The tail went instantly limp in his hand. He placed a tender kiss on its side. The sleeping woman's body shuddered. When he had seen her reaction to his caress of her wings, he had wondered how her tail would react. The moment his hand wrapped around it, he knew. Her body had reacted as he had rarely seen in a woman. It had been more consistent with his own reaction when she licked him.
So he experimented as if it had been a man. At first, it had been a little discomforting. Although fairly secure in his sexuality, he discovered a slight twinge of homophobia as the large barbed tip slid into his mouth. One glimpse at the rapture of her expression and all doubts evaporated. Never had he felt so enlivened as he had by the obvious sensation Kali derived from his actions. Of course, never had a woman enjoyed Simon so much that she had passed out, either.
He laughed as his eyes devoured the very sight of her. The laugh faded quickly as reality began to return. She was a gorgeous young woman. But he was forty six. If she was even half his age, he'd be surprised. Then there was the little matter of his active status as a PIA agent. It wasn't a problem that she knew about the true nature of his job. It was a problem that she held the powers of a rogue demon.
While he thought he could teach her to control the powers, by their very nature, it seemed, she needed to use them or they would manifest by themselves. The entire purpose of the PIA was to help keep the public from worry over the supernatural elements of their world. Tonight, the wings and tail had been easy to pass off as a costume, but some manifestations would not be so simple to explain.
And Simon had no delusions that she would always be able to control the power that coursed through her. Tral'zla'thor had been a demon of change. Even they, occasionally, found themselves beyond mastery of their own power. That was the very reason they tended to allow their bodies to morph from form to form almost constantly. It provided their chaotic nature an outlet so that they retained control when they most needed it.
As Simon's eyes continued to drift over her body, they settled between her legs with a grin. The sheets, a little of her wings, her tail, and much of the insides of her legs, were covered with her own cream. What had been a steady, but light, stream, as he used his tongue, had turned into a fountain when his mouth closed around her tail. He knew he had some on his face by the feel of the cloying nectar, even though he'd been over a foot away by that point.
Simon shook his head and moved for the bathroom. He grabbed a washcloth and ran it under warm water. His grin spread as he glanced in the mirror. Sure enough, almost half his face had trails of her lust on it. He was surprised none had dripped in his eye yet. He quickly cleaned his face and grabbed a fresh washcloth to use on Kali.
Two steps into the bedroom and he froze. Kali's wings and tail were noticeably smaller then they had been a minute or two before, when he entered the bathroom. He sat on the foot of the bed and watched her for a moment. Now that he knew to pay attention, he could see the transformation. What he had taken for the shudders of aftershocks, when she passed out, had likely been this incremental transformation.
Simon leaned over and began to carefully wash Kali. He didn't want to wake her, but still hoped she wouldn't need to worry about the minor inconvenience later. As his cautious work progressed, his mind wandered. This was another line of questioning the two would have to pursue; did her transformations subside on unconsciousness. If they did, it would provide a safety net for the conservative and suspicious PIA. No matter how powerful she became, not matter what form she summoned, they could defeat her with a simple tranquilizer.
Of course, Simon didn't anticipate they would ever need the security against Kali. However, if this had happened to her, it had happened before to someone else. It was rare, to be sure, but undoubtedly not truly unique, simply unrecorded. That was the mercenary aspect of his proposal to teach her. Even if his own curiosity didn't demand it, the PIA would have ensured they received a full accounting; one way or the other.
Simon shuddered at the thought. There were a few among the organization that were a little too fanatical for his tastes. Although he had no proof, he feared that more than one of the field agents who had gone 'rogue' or 'missing,' over the years, had been interrogated and disposed of by members of their own system. This was the detriment to the PIA's lack of organizational hierarchy.
That same structure meant that there was no one to officially reprimand Simon. No one had the authority to tell him that his plans to teach Kali were foolish, or simply too dangerous. It was entirely his prerogative. The only people who even came close were the accountants, and he knew the attitude of all three. Since it wasn't strictly against the letter of the guiding strictures, he was safe. Even if they found a way to claim she was dangerous to the population, he could point to the precedents which allowed for an agent to attempt to rehabilitate a fallen paranormal entity. Unless, of course, the fanatics decided to 'question' his decision.
Kali's legs and sex were as clean as Simon could manage without being intrusive. There was nothing he could do about the sheet, so he brought the washcloth into the bathroom and tossed it into the sink. When he returned to the main room, he pulled back on his boxers and pulled out his pocket notebook. He had a reasonably good memory, and usually could recall everything he needed to when writing a report. He liked to use the paper to organize his thoughts. The researchers assured him that the laptop and an interconnected PDA ~or some other acronym~ would work so much better while simultaneously increasing the security of his information. He admitted they were probably right, but he had to figure it all out first.
That made him think of Kali's reaction to the argument he'd had on the phone. He still hadn't figured out, exactly, why he believed her story. It was so unlikely. Tral'zla'thor had been one of the best at binding and corrupting souls. According to reports, he not only bound the person to him, he usually managed to make sure that no one else would ever be good enough. He kept them seeking him for more.
So how did this young woman resist? What allowed her to say no, and how did she manage it at just the right moment to draw in his essence?
Those were the most compelling questions. Those were the ones he most feared would be asked by the other members of the PIA. While their mandate required them to teach a human to use newly discovered powers, she might not count. Kali's powers were demonic in nature, and the PIA recognized diabolism as one of the darkest of studies.
Simon turned to look at the woman in question. Still naked, Kali had rolled onto her side and curled around some unseen support. It was a peaceful pose, reflected by the gentle smile on her lips. A part of him doubted she had felt as carefree as she appeared to be, now, since the demon attacked. He moved back to the foot of the bed and jotted a quick memo in his notebook. As expected, her wings and tail finished their retreat back into her body.
Simon yawned. It had been a long day and he needed rest as much as she. He set the digital camera on the dresser and made sure it could film Kali without appearing too voyeuristic. Unlike the computer, the PIA had sent a research agent with it, in order to make sure he understood every possible operation of the device. While much had been almost instinctive, there were a few features it had taken him a few minutes to figure out. One of those features, the low light vision, had proved invaluable on countless occasions, like tonight.
With everything set, Simon returned to the chair. He collapsed heavily into its soft embrace. The camera was there in case she underwent transformations in her sleep. She certainly wouldn't know if it was a regular occurrence. He would continue to tape her sleep, for months if need be, and scan quickly through the recording the following morning. After he made any relevant notes, the recording would be erased. While he might have no voyeuristic intentions towards Kali, there were many who would use such tapes for much less altruistic purposes than research.
As Simon pondered his next moves, the comfortable chair dragged him into a sound sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Kali woke, a sense of loss flooded through her. For some reason, that her sleep shrouded mind couldn't fathom, she had expected to find an arm wrapped comfortably around her waist, or perhaps protectively about her shoulders. But, as she rolled onto her back, she knew that the bed was empty. She must have dreamed about something nice to cause that kind of confusion.
That thought alone was enough to bring her a little more widely awake. For too many months, her sleep had been fitful, and ever interrupted by chaotic nightmares. Most had been of her time trapped in an ever changing body, but the ones of her devouring man after man, with a fang filled crotch, were common enough as well.
Kali started to roll off the bed, intent on the bathroom and her full bladder, when she came fully awake. This wasn't her dorm room! Her eyes swept the room, in a panicked attempt to identify her location. She wasn't prone to blackouts, especially since she'd given up drinking after the demonic encounter, but if she was about to start losing herself to the powers, she needed to know about it, now! When her eyes stopped, abruptly, on the man curled in the chair, her heart and breath froze.
Simon had spent the night in the chair. She didn't know how to feel, as the memories of the night before flooded back to her. Of the multitude of emotions that flew through her, guilt, Kali was surprised to discover, was nowhere among them. She knew that, in and of itself, should have been a warning about the deterioration of her soul, but she found herself more guilty about the fact that she didn't feel guilty, than she felt about her actions.
The moment Kali remembered the night, her hand flew between her legs. She needed to get cleaned up. Strangely, her hand came back clean. Neither was there the telltale itch that came the morning after she forgot to clean up after she played with herself. She went to the bathroom and smiled. The washcloth in the sink told the story. A flush of gratitude washed over her at the man's consideration. She turned on the shower anyway and used the toilet before she stepped into the hot water.
As she began to lather her hair, with the expensive shampoo the hotel provided, her mind drifted back to her soul. How many sins had she committed in the last half year? She didn't even know anymore. Was her very existence now a sin? Tral'zla'thor's memories didn't include any mention of God or the Devil, but it seemed to know hell. There were memories of pain so great, after exorcisms and banishments, that he had been unable to think clearly. While he had never called it by name, it certainly seemed like Hell to Kali.
At the same time, God never smote him for his actions. Of course, he had been unable to enter holy areas, but that had more to do with the faith of the individual rather than any fear of the being the symbols worshiped. The same held true of people. Only a person of great faith could hold him at bay. And it hadn't just been Christians either. She had a brief glimpse of a druid warding him off with some ancient symbol of protection.
So what did that say about Kali? She had never considered herself a saint or anything, but she hadn't thought of herself as devoid. Yet, she never even thought to call on God for help. Her eyes began to burn with that thought. Her mother, or even her sister, would have dropped to their knees in the park, clutched the cross about their necks and began to pray for deliverance. Kali couldn't even remember if she had worn her cross that night. Then again, her mother or sister would never have found themselves alone, at night, with a group of men.
She felt the first tears roll down her cheeks, somehow hotter than the scalding water. She choked on a sob, but the gates had opened once more. In moments she found herself curled in the corner of the tub crying.
She couldn't stand this either. A modern woman wasn't supposed to be this weak. She'd lost count of the number of times she had burst into tears in the last twelve hours. Before she'd met Simon she had found an inner peace with what had happened.
No, she admitted finally to herself, I hadn't found peace, I'd simply shoved it all aside.
She hadn't worried about her soul. She barely thought about other people's reactions, except to worry about their fear. Although unexpected, Simon's presence forced her to start to examine these issues. And what she found terrified her.
"Kali? Are you okay?" Kali looked up, to see Simon's silhouette through the curtain. "Do you want to talk?" His voice was flooded with concern, but it wasn't the type founded in pity. There was almost a desperation to it, as if he feared he had done something.
Kali knew she had to answer, or else she might damage him in some way. That was what the voice really said to her. "I don't know. I'm sorry."
His head sagged forward. His hand reached for the door. It had been the wrong answer, but she hadn't known what to say. She didn't know the right answer. Or, rather, she knew the answer, but refused to lie to him and tell him everything was okay.
"No, Kali. I'm sorry." She heard the sigh and saw the shadow of his shoulders rise and fall. "I'm sorry about last night. I should have stopped everything from the beginning. You were vulnerable and I took advantage." Simon opened the door and started to step through. Just before it closed she heard his muttered sorrow. "I'll make sure to find someone you can trust."
Pain stabbed at Kali's chest. She couldn't breath. Her heart had stopped. But despite everything she scrambled from the tub. She didn't care that water ran off of her in rivulets. It didn't even matter that she stood before him completely naked. What mattered was that she could not bear to let him just leave.
Simon spun as she burst out of the bathroom. She saw the lust, as his eyes swept across her body, but saw how quickly he quenched it. It had been simple instinct, and he was as determined to control it as she was the hunger.
"Please," she managed through breathless lips, "please don't go."
Simon's eyes softened, but Kali couldn't tell his expression. It could have been anything from pity, to loss, to desire, but it was certainly something that pained him.
"Kali." His body tensed. She knew he wanted to move towards her, probably to touch her. His touch always seemed to reassure her somehow. "Kali, I can't. I don't know what's going on here, but I don't think I could keep my feelings for you as strictly those of a teacher."
This time it was Kali's gaze that fell. "Then, it's true, I am evil."
Her voice had dropped to barely a whisper as she turned back to the bathroom. It was clear to her. The very fact that, without a thought, she stood naked before him, proved the truth. Kali had inherited the demon's fate along with his memories and powers. She had already begun to seduce one of the protectors of human kind.
Powerful hands spun Kali's shoulders. She barely managed to keep her balance as he turned her back to him. Simon stood before her, inches away, his eyes wide with concern.
"Kali Donnoly, you are not evil. You are not a temptress, jezebel, succubus or anything else of the sort." She felt the weight of his solemn eyes, but she knew if she looked away he would bring her face back to his. "And most of all, you are not a demon."
Kali's hands had clasped in front of her the moment she regained her balance. More importantly, they kept him from having to be tempted by her sex. As he spoke, his hands found hers. She didn't know how he did it, but the simple touch brought her comfort. Then she felt the tension as he began to pull her hands apart. She almost panicked again. Then she felt the touch of cold metal. Simon closed her hands around it, but their bodies were so close that she couldn't look. And even if she did, she feared it would draw his attention back down her body and raise the temptation once more.
Simon solved her confusion himself. Without even a flicker of a downward glance, he stepped back and brought their entwined hands up. When they moved into her field of vision, she gasped to see the simple, if large, gold cross clutched in her hands.
"I'm no priest, to exorcize demons, but I can at least prove that the symbol itself won't hurt you. I know you don't know me from Adam, if you'll pardon the reference, and that you have no reason to believe I'm religious. In fact, you have every reason to question my faith. After all, I gave in to lust, and have spouted off about ghosts and werewolves and whatnot. But this," he squeezed, as he shook, their hands for emphasis, "should prove that you can at least go to a priest for guidance."
Simon let go of her hands. He stood there for a moment to read her reaction. Instinctively, her hands brought the cross to her chest. She flinched as it touched her skin, but nothing burned or shocked her. Simon smiled softly as her hands relaxed and pressed it more firmly against herself.
If he's not a priest, maybe he should be.
It had been a long time since she had felt this comforted in the face of the cross.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Simon turned back to the room and found fresh clothes. It had been a long time since he had thought about God. He knew his own faith had waned over the years. In truth, it wasn't so much that he had lost faith in God, so much as he had more faith in his own abilities. And, while nothing he'd seen had proven that God didn't exist, he'd never seen anything that proved He did either. He sighed, and promised himself that if Kali did choose to visit a church, he would avail himself of some confession time.
In the movies, the organizations that hunted vampires and demons were all secret arms of the Catholic church. The PIA had no religious affiliation. If anything, a much larger percentage of the organization belonged to minority religions, for the simple reason that those tended to be more accepting of supernatural abilities. Zen, for example, had never undergone an Inquisition to hunt down heretics. And the Wiccans would never be found shouting 'burn the witch!' Simon smiled at the thought of some of his fellow agents tying themselves up, standing on a pile of wood and inciting someone to light a match.
As Simon leaned over the suitcase, in search of socks, he felt a hand rest on his shoulder. He smiled as he turned his head to look at her. As always, he couldn't help but sweep the delicious body with his gaze. He felt the pulse of blood as his body reminded him what it wanted of her. He schooled his expression carefully before he met her eyes. He didn't want her to know how much he wanted to have sex with her.
As his eyes swept upward, they got caught. She clutched the crucifix like a security blanket. Unfortunately, she held it by the very base. The bottom of the cross rose directly up the center of her chest, and branched out near her neck. The overall effect was to frame and emphasize her delicious, large, breasts. He licked his lips nervously and tore his gaze away, well aware that he'd failed to hide his lust, at least this time. He definitely needed to go to confession.
"I wanted to talk to you about last night."
Simon waved it off. "It never happened. Don't worry about it. It won't happen again." He stopped almost instantly. Her eyes widened slightly and her lips quivered with tension. "I'm sorry, forget I said anything. What were you going to say?" Kali looked away, clearly with second thoughts about her intentions. He took her hands, guided her back to sit on the bed and knelt before her. He was acutely aware that the position placed him very close to where he had been the previous night, and his body tightened in response. "Please, tell me. I don't know if we should have or not, but it happened, and I shouldn't just brush it off, I'm sorry."
"I," Kali's face spun away, "I don't know how to say it. I'm not even sure what to say."
"Say what you feel. Say what you think needs to be said. That's all you ever need to say." Kali looked at him uncertainly. "Look, maybe I can help you some. I know a little about Tral'zla'thor. We knew he was the one that had been summoned by faint psychic traces he left behind. We followed those traces to a dead-end alley, where a number of claws were buried in the wall. We assumed he was now free to draw souls to him, and frankly, were terrified."
Simon looked down. "Demons gain power from the souls of people they have in bondage. At least that is what we've been able to gather. It's unclear if our sources are correct since, inevitably, they all lead to a demon confirming it. For all we know it's a conspiracy to keep humans from knowing how they truly feed. If you know their food, you know their weakness. But we can't protect people from giving away their souls."
Kali looked up. "Well, unless he could alter his memories, you can confirm that. When I absorbed his power, I absorbed his memories as well. I can remember the most heinous acts he committed. But what's worse is I remember how he felt about it. He enjoyed it all."
Simon nodded. "Well, if all demons gain power from the souls they bind, then he was among the strongest. Not only was he very skilled at tempting people, but he always managed to do so in such a way that they couldn't help but find ways to fall further. If he took you, I can imagine he not only made your body want it, but he went to the extra effort of making sure it would never be as good again. No mortal can do the things he could do."
Simon hesitated for a moment, unsure of his next comment, but this could be possibly the only time to broach the subject. "He especially loved to take virgins. They would find the pleasure of sex, as we all do in time. When they became active, they would realize it wasn't as good, wasn't the same, and try to find more and more partners. Eventually they would realize it would never be the same. By then they had usually fallen from their faith, since many religions believe sex to be a sin. Very few he seduced maintained their faith."
Kali nodded. "Most eventually found the ritual to summon him. He always made sure, while he was free, that it was close to them. Usually he left someone bound to him alive, so that the person would need to do all forms of perverse things to get the ritual. Then, they would summon him for sex. He gained some power from that alone. But only if they were willing."
Simon didn't realize he had moved until his arms wrapped protectively around Kali as she spoke. Her body seemed to melt against his. He expected to see tears on her cheeks. To his shock her expression was serene, almost triumphant.
"He was wrong. Or maybe he was right, but I changed the rules." Kali's eyes rolled up to meet his, as she tilted her head back to look over her shoulder at him. She must have seen the confusion in his eyes because she continued. "I'm not wholly mortal anymore. He thought I would never find anyone that could bring me the pleasure he did. But when you touched my wings, as you did what you did, it felt almost as good as his touch had. When you held my tail..."
She paused. Kali's eyes unfocussed with the ghost of the memory. Without the anchor of those eyes, he found his gaze shift. The line of her body was perfect, as she leaned back against him. Her large breasts, with nipples taut in the cool hotel air, framed the silken curls well below. "When your mouth surrounded my tail, there simply aren't words for that sensation. You can't know how it felt."
Simon smiled. "No, I may not ever experience it myself, but your reaction told me everything."
His arms slid tighter around Kali. His eyes closed. The warmth of her body sank into his and the world seemed to pause in relief. Oddly, he realized, despite her weight, her heat, pressed tight against him, he felt no reaction within his boxers. Even more importantly, he didn't care.
He gave Kali a final squeeze then moved off the bed once more. It was time to work, which meant his suit. "I have to check a few things out today, but I would like to start helping you with your powers. What is your schedule like." Simon froze and spun. "I never even thought, is there somewhere you need to be now? I have a car. I can drive you."
Kali suddenly looked shy. "Well, I'm a sophomore, so not much in the way of places I need to be except classes. But I should probably get back to my dorm. I don't have class today, or I wouldn't have been out last night." He sunk into those wonderful green eyes. Her lashes batted a few times and he knew he wouldn't be able to resist whatever request she was about to make. "You could drop me off at my dorm, and pick me up whenever you were free later?"
Simon nodded. He was in serious trouble. But he couldn't help but love every minute of it.
