They'd met at a social gathering for people in the lifestyle. They'd been seated across from each other by the host. It was a relaxed environment, with no expectations. To an outsider, the group was a mixture of people from all walks of life. But everyone within the group knew there was a common interest in the kinky world that brought them together.

He sent her a message after she'd left the restaurant, telling her it had been nice to meet her. She'd responded, saying it had been nice to meet him as well. The next morning, he started another conversation with her. She thought maybe he wasn't as shy as she'd originally thought he might be.

They chatted on and off over the course of the day. She only knew that he was new to the lifestyle. He'd mentioned it the night before, and his profile said as much online. It didn't bother her, it just meant that she'd take things slow if things went any further with him. For now it was still too early; only time would tell.

It was a workday for both of them. But they managed to send messages throughout the day. They flirted a bit. They talked a little about the lifestyle. They started to get to know a little more about each other. They were getting along pretty well. Later that evening, they continued the conversation they had started earlier in the day.

She made the offer to go with him, if that was something that might interest him. She didn't want him to feel obligated at all. But she remembered her first time going to munches, as well as workshops, alone. It got easier the more she did it. But it would have been nice to have a "partner in crime" to go with.

He admitted he didn't know any of the terms that are used. So she told him a few basics. She encouraged him to take it all slowly, while he learns more. She told him he could always ask her if he wasn't sure about something. She offered some ideas for him to figure out what he wanted to try.

She could tell he is curious, he asked great questions, and had follow-up questions too. He just never had someone sit down and talk to him about his interests. She thought that would be a good place for him to start.

He mentioned wanting to do something for his birthday. She offered to see what events were happening around that time frame. She found several things, but only one of them on his actual birthday. He said that sounded like fun. They ended up agreeing to go together, and they'd meet a little earlier, to have dinner and get to know each other more in person.

She felt like she was getting to know a little more about him. And she liked what she was learning about him so far. She opened up to him a little bit too, and they got a bit more personal. The flirting online continued. They even talked about potentially doing things to each other. He was never crude about it, but didn't hide from sharing his thoughts with her.

He seemed very kind and very easy to talk to. She felt there was a connection starting to build between them. She wanted to know more about him. She was enjoying talking to him. He made her smile and laugh. She was hoping he was feeling the same way about her. But she didn't pry or push to find out. If he liked her, he'd let her know in his own time and way.
