Chapter 7

Everything changed when Wyatt was deployed. She finally understood how her love for Wyatt had given her a beautiful life that she never knew she was missing. Gisele had always been and independent loner and when her parents died, she had no one. Now she had a man that protected, cherished and loved her with everything he had.

"We don't know who was hurt or how bad, but we think they were wrong about deaths. Janet has asked for authorization to include you in any briefing. It is rare to include someone who is not related to a TEAM member, but it does happen. We will let you know what is going on."

Nancy gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek and then left. Gisele went back and watched the news and when no new news showed any new developments she went to her knees and for the first time since Mary led her to her church, she prayed that Wyatt and all the other SEALs would recover from any injuries

Gisele watched the news and called all her girlfriends begging for information, but none was forthcoming. She knew that because she and Wyatt weren't married the Navy would not give her any information, so she relied on her friends.

Then one day her friends were gone and didn't answer their phones. Gisele was frantic. She knew something was happening and she was being left out, then Janet showed up on her doorstep. Janet told her that almost every member of the team was wounded in some way and all her friends were in Germany at the hospital on an airbase. Janet held her and looked into her eyes saying, "My husband and his boss made appeals to have you flown there as well. They were denied but the charity 'Lukes Wings' offered to fly you there to be with Wyatt. Pack your bag, you're coming with me."

Gisele's eyes immediately filled with joyful tears but the lump in her throat wouldn't let her speak, so she pulled Janet into a crushing bear hug and cried. No one had ever done anything like this for her and she was overwhelmed. Janet pulled out of her grasp demanding," We only have an hour to be on the plane, so pack quickly, we need to leave."

We're expected to carry on with no knowledge of what's happening and it drives us crazy. By this time most of us know what to expect, but you're coming in green and have no idea what's going on."

"Try and get some sleep, we have six hours of flying time. I'll wake you up an hour before landing, and we'll get you made up and get some food for you."

Gisele looked at her and said, "I'll try but I haven't been able to sleep since the news broke."

Gisele lay down on a couch in the plane and within minutes was in a deep sleep. When Janet woke her up there was a hot breakfast that she wolfed down. When Janet finished her makeup, Gisele stood and wrapped her in her arms, adding, "Thank you for getting me here, fighting for me to be with Wyatt and trusting me. thank you for everything."

This time it was Janet's turn to tear up. They stayed in the hug until the pilot said, "Buckle up we're landing."

When the plane came to a stop, the pilot opened the door and said, "Good luck and may God bless everyone."

Gisele woke up feeling Wyatt's arms around her and feeling safe for the first time in weeks, but she was looking at Nancy's face. Nancy smiled, "Girlfriend the nurses have to change bandages and check on Wyatt. You need to come with us for a little while. Come with me."

Gisele looked up into Wyatt's eyes, "The nurses need to check you out, so I'll be back in a little while. I love you baby."

"I want all of you to be my editors and a copy except for the last chapter is in your email. If there are parts you want to add or remove let me know. Because I've already sold the book and there is interest in a movie. All of you are in the book, but I changed the names, however you will still recognize yourselves."

"One last note, fifty percent of the profits will go to a fund for servicemen's families. If the service person is hurt it will be used to help them get to their spouse or significant other to be by their side, but if they die it will work with T2T to pay off mortgages or help in other ways."
