By the spirits, Fel loved being strong! And tall! Ever since being a young greenling.

Last night's growth only made her enjoy her size even more. But today she fell in love with feeling small again. Tiny even.

Usually, she hated that feeling with a passion, especially when she compared herself to some cold stone walls or castles. But being second to nature? To life? She really didn't mind.

Bylasha led them to a narrow thicket sprawling with bright colours. Right where the massive roots of her mothertree dug into the ground. Almost like a web of flowers, with branches as thick as prison bars.

"That appears to be an entrance of sorts?" Syn asked and returned to writing into her 'journal' -- like she always did.The Three Adventurers Pt. 22 фото

Fel rolled her eyes but kept silent.

"Like a gate?" Lyanne wondered too. "Can't see that open without an axe."

The stocky green-haired woman simply looked around with an amused smile.

Bylasha led her hands to her mouth and let out a deafening whistle that shook the orc to the bones.

Many times, louder than Lyanne, Gunjon and even Brossim combined. Trilling like a bird and piercing like a battle cry. One could hear the distant echo for miles!

"Fock' me..." Lyanne groaned.

Her arms were torn between holding on to her shield or to cup her ears. She settled for both, only halfway each.

"Now imagine how I'm feeling," Syn said with a painful grimace, enduring it with both her hands still on her book and feather.

"Sorry. I needed to wake someone," Bylasha said.

"Who? The dead?" Lyanne growled.

Fel's pointy ears rang just as badly, but her amazement crushed any pain.

"How can you..." Fel asked, dumbfounded, her fingers aimlessly trailing her lips and tusks.

"Make sounds like that? That is easy," Bylasha said casually. "Everybody here can."

"I cannot," Fel whispered. "Lyanne tried to teach me... but it is hard for me."

"Maybe I can show you, Fel," she grinned with loving eyes. "If it is in the spirit's plan."

"I hope it is."

The orc couldn't help but break a smirk as well, knowing that 'offer' from earlier wasn't lost in translation after all.

A distant yawn answered and then all the flowers came to life. They shook wildly as all the intertwined branches creaked and moved, slowly untangling themselves until light broke through them.

"Hey!" someone shouted from above in a high-pitched tone.

The group looked up to a single woman, higher up than any elf on their stupid walls, still drunken with sleep slowly waving at them.

"You can come down," Bylasha shouted back. "We've got visitors!"

"Finally!"

That woman's excitement was not unnoticed by her orcish ears. Fel didn't have to see her face to feel the joy oozing off it.

The flower gate was just done unwinding itself when the same woman rushed into view. Barely breathing, despite making it down the giant root in seconds somehow.

No doubt about it. She belonged to Bylasha's tribe.

The same bright blue eyes, sparking with kindness and curiosity, begging to get lost in. The rest of her was just as beautiful. Her hair and skin were just as perfect, only in a very strange, but amazing colour. Fel had seen redheads before. Humans and dwarves, but not one like this. Her wildly dancing mane swirled around her like flames and reached all the way down to her ass.

And what an ass it was.

Unlike Bylasha, it wasn't her softness that made Fel's mouth water, but her glorious muscles. Bylasha's figure was much more like Syn: Plump and round in all the right places, with some strength underneath it all. This new one here was powerful, wider and bigger, with just some gentle jiggle where it was needed.

This must be their tribe's 'Lyanne', Fel wondered.

Yet, she knew for sure, nobody here would come close to her favourite knight in strength and fighting skill. Even if they'd grow up to be as tall as their trees.

That woman's hug came with all the warmth Bylasha could have wanted.

Northerners never understood that.

Fel was always confused why humans especially seemed scared of showing their feelings. Why they always insisted on hiding them behind cold gestures. Nobody wanted to come home from a raid to some handshake. Or the silly 'salute' thing they do.

No, every return to the tribe must be celebrated! With hugs and kisses, and often much more than that. For nobody knew for sure if they'd ever get to experience another reunion again.

"Another sleepless night?" Bylasha said when those strong arms reluctantly let go of her.

The muscular woman, almost a full head taller than Bylasha, rolled her eyes and yawned again.

"I would rather sleep here," she smiled, her gaze wandering. "I see you brought nothing for me this time."

"Next time," Bylasha turned around and gestured at the trio. "This is Syn. Lyanne and Fel. They have come from far away."

"We got plenty of outsiders lately."

The redmane was still wearing her girlish smile, but one could see her muscles tense as she gripped her makeshift spear tighter.

"They are not like that," Bylasha insisted. "They are friends."

The fiery woman's eyes lit up, and her entire face shifted into a wide grin.

"Why did you not say that right away? I am Telys then."

Telys rushed forward, her spear awkwardly dangling off the side as she reached for Syn first.

"Oh my..." Syn gasped, her book squeezed between both their breasts, in the most awkward of hugs. "It's ... a pleasure meeting you too."

"I had no idea humans could get this big," Telys said, her voice bursting with excitement and her hands exploring Syn's body.

"Well, we are... a special bunch," Syn answered flustered.

"I can tell," Telys said with a laugh and eyed the naked knight next.

Almost fully naked. If it weren't for that stupid shield!

"And this strong. Wow!" Telys playfully grabbed Lyanne's even fuller muscles as she pulled the knight in. "Look at you!"

"I'm trying my hardest not to look too much, to be honest," Lyanne growled.

Fel could almost hear that throbbing growing stronger against the solid metal.

"Why not? Look all you want. We will do the same. You look amazing!" Telys said, her blue eyes admiring the islander's beauty without any shame.

"Th-ank... you," Lyanne whimpered, her cheeks reddening by the second.

"Go on. Maybe she finally believes it when someone else tells her, too," Fel couldn't resist saying.

The orc still stood the tallest, with even Telys only reaching as high as Fel's chin. Which also meant that pulsating, utterly swollen green mast was just at the perfect height to be grabbed.

Fel could almost taste Telys' eyes bite into her, just as she'd felt Bylasha's before. Her gigantic member maybe grew a bit too intimidating for most, but these two didn't look like they were scared by it at all.

"Fel," Telys said softly, standing right before the towering greenskin and giggled. "Whoa. You are a big one. And no human?"

"Hah. No, I am an orc," Fel winked and leaned forward before whispering. "The biggest."

"An... orc?"

Her blue eyes went wide, lost in wonder. What a cute way of being this overwhelmed, Fel thought. Humans, even dwarves were always more terrified than curious when they saw their first proper orc.

Seemed like the people here looked at her the other way around.

"They are an old folk. As old as elves. But they hear and they listen like we do," Bylasha explained.

Telys face lit up even further, her freckles almost outshining those wide blue eyes.

"Then we are really happy to have you here... Fel," Telys said, her fingers twitching giddily.

"Me too, little one," the orc grinned and spread her own massive arms invitingly. "My people also love hugs by the way."

Fel was used to making the first step, but Telys's touch wasn't shy for long either.

She for sure grabbed more than a few handfuls of orcish green. Curves and muscles. And her own figure withstood Fel's far larger fingers just as well.

Telys' body wasn't just for show.

Her muscles were full and solid. While the rest of her was tender and soft. Her skin was simply perfect. Fel even caught a few good sniffs of that fragrant hair. That scent alone made the fine hair on her pumped arms stand up in all the right ways. And gave her a good tingle between her legs.

Of course, Fel couldn't break their hug without introducing Telys to 'Huge Green' first. By the spirits, that flustered face was so adorable when her dong smacked into those toned abs.

Telys, her young face by now just as fiery as her hair, locked eyes with Bylasha and wordlessly agreed on a silent, knowing smile.

Now that was the warmest welcome this side of the big rocks, Fel thought. She could already tell she'd feel right at home here -- not just because of Telys's and Bylasha's curiosity for orcs.

"This is great!" Telys cheered. "The spirits really could not have sent you at a better time!"

"What for?" Lyanne asked first.

Both women, green and red, shared a long look.

"They do not know?" Telys asked. "Have you not told them?"

"Not yet," Bylasha answered. "I thought I would leave that to Yorora."

"Makes sense," Telys said thoughtfully.

"They are probably still at lunch. If you are fast you will catch them," she continued. "I am sure they all want to meet them too."

"You're not coming with us?" Lyanne asked.

"No. I am needed here... I guess," Telys shrugged.

"Doing what?" Fel asked.

"Yorora needs our big and strong ones to stand guard these days," Bylasha grinned and clapped her friend's buff shoulder. "Our great fighters and stuff."

"Do not call me that," Telys rolled her eyes. "She will put me here even more if she hears that."

Fel and Lyanne shot each other a confused frown and shared the same thought.

If these people really thought big muscles alone made for good warriors, then they really didn't know shit about war.

Not only did Telys hold her spear like a shovel, but every warrior needed that fire in their eyes. That lust for battle. A glimmer of bloodlust and rage. That killer's spark. Lyanne had it. Even Syn, who really didn't enjoy fighting, had it. Telys? Absolutely not. Fel had only just met her, but she would've already bet her left nut on that girl rather starting to cry than standing her ground in battle.

"Yorora? Is that your leader?" Syn cut in, her feather already running hot.

Both Bylasha's and Telys' faces turned into weird grimaces. Sour and also ... a bit amused?

"She is my big cousin," Telys said casually. "And that 'leader thing'? We do not do that like you outsiders. We are all equal."

"I mean, Yorora has become a bit of a leader," Bylasha said.

"Noooo... you really think that?"

Telys expressive face shifted from disagreeing to accepting after a few thoughts.

"I mean, it is probably a good thing. We need one right now," Bylasha nodded. "And nobody else would want to do that. Soo... yeah."

"Yeah, true," Telys said thoughtfully before sighing. "It is probably best when you bring them to her."

Fel caught both women growing more tense once this 'Yorora' was mentioned. There was no disgust or fear in their eyes. More like uncertainty. Worry. Something that unsettled them... and it was not this 'Yorora'.

"Come," Bylasha said. "We better hurry."

"Wait! What about their weapons?" Telys asked when everybody had already turned around.

"Oh right. Silly me," Bylasha chuckled and leaned in casually. "We got new house rules, but you can keep them with Telys. She will watch over them."

Telys grinned warmly, but Syn and Lyanne especially looked doubtful.

"I don't know, Syn."

Lyanne's whisper had already earned a nod, and then Fel stomped forward.

"Careful she is heavy," the orc said, handing over her battle axe. "But you are a strong girl, right?"

Lyanne and Syn didn't feel the same warmth coming from Telys' cute blush. They stared at Fel in utter shock.

"Why did you do that?" Lyanne said, wide eyed, her mouth agape.

"Why not?" Fel shrugged. "They can be trusted."

"And what makes you this sure?" Syn asked.

"I just know."

"You just met them!" Lyanne hissed. "And besides, it was you yourself who told me no orc ever hands over their axe."

"No, we orcs do not give away our weapons," Fel grinned cheekily and gazed back into those wide, blue eyes watching the debate unfold silently. "Only to friends."

That answer seemed to please Bylasha and Telys immensely.

They couldn't stop grinning and stared at Fel as if she had just brought them water in the middle of a drought.

Syn was first to trust Fel's judgement. She pulled out her daggers and handed them over to Telys as well.

As expected, it was a hard battle to separate Lyanne from her sword. But even if the knight didn't trust their new hosts, she did still accept Fel's and Syn's decisions. Until it was time to separate herself from her shield.

"And that one?" Telys asked cautiously.

"That's no weapon," Lyanne insisted, while clutching her shield tighter against her bare crotch. "It's for protection."

"It can be used as a weapon," Bylasha joined in.

"And do you want to take off my arms too?" Lyanne growled. "Just because I could use them as weapons?"

"Come on, big girl," Fel said calmly. "Let it go."

Fel knew this wasn't just about surrendering some weapons.

It was just as much about revealing yourself to the world. With nowhere to hide. She had no idea why Lyanne seemed so afraid of that.

Sure, Fel absolutely enjoyed teasing Lyanne, but a part of her always remained a tad sad. If Lyanne could see herself the same way those orcish eyes latched onto her. Only once. That would change everything.

"Fine..."

Fel's pointy ears perked up. They must've lied to her. But then she saw Lyanne, sure with huge reluctance, add her shield to the overflowing pile of weapons in Telys' arms.

"That wasn't too hard after all," Syn said in an amused tone.

"No, but something else is," Fel added.

She knew humour was often the right weapon to combat fear... or shame. Even if there was no reason for that here.

Lyanne shifted nervously, her huge arms only barely staying away from her boner. But she stood in the open and let everybody see her in all her glory. And hopefully she would feel pride when she saw the admiration burning in everyone's eyes.

"Relax, Lyanne. You are way too buff to be this shy about yourself," Telys winked so adorably it made even Lyanne break a smirk.

"Perhaps you got a point," Lyanne said and immediately stood just a bit taller.

And to Fel that was even more beautiful than seeing "just" those pulsating veins and amazing muscles.

The group left Telys behind, frantically trying to hold on to the heap of weapons. Lesser ears than orcish ones would also hear that loud clang.

"Sorry," she shouted after them.

"One day that girl will poke out an eye," Lyanne sighed.

"Maybe we should teach her how to hold some real weapons, then," Fel said.

"What sort of weapons are we talking?" Lyanne asked with a curved brow.

"You know what I am talking about," Fel said, pushing her hips forward and her gaze lowering until it found Lyanne's manhood. "The huge and throbbing sort. One in green and one... with just veiny and swollen."

"Us both at the same time? Poor girl," Lyanne chuckled. "Just when I thought you liked her."

"Oh, I do like her. But you know me. I like to share," the orc said in a cheeky tone. "And there is plenty to share here."

Both women's eyes slowly darted forward.

To those glorious cheeks clashing before them and those wide hips bouncing with every step. Two pairs of them. Fel really couldn't decide which ass her own dong admired more.

Almost.

Their heads slowly tilted to the side in admiration when Bylasha's cheeks came into view when her fine, blade-thin garments danced with the slightest of winds.

"I get why you like your girls, mmmh... heavy like that," Fel gestured, grabbing that round, amazing ass and hips almost as wide as her shoulders.

"Mmmh..."Lyanne sighed, walking like in trance, her eyes unable to rip themselves away.

She was quickly warming up to one of the great benefits of always being naked, Fel happily noticed. Always enough room for her boner to grow.

"The spirits must smile at us. Why else would they put us here among all these big girls?" the orc doubled down. "I told you, they make us grow this huge for a reason."

"I guess so...", Lyanne said absent-mindedly.

Fel leaned in for a whisper and couldn't swallow her lustful smirk.

"I bet such nice bodies come with huge needs too," the orc whispered. "Just like ours."

"Mmmh," Lyanne hummed in throbbing agreement.

A wild flicker of lust jumped over with the giant orc's voice. Fel always loved seeing that raging fire burning in those dreamy eyes. Time to stoke it some more.

"I bet they need it... huge... and hard. Like any big girl. Only they are so much bigger here. You know what that means?"

"Mmmhh?"

"They need it the biggest and the hardest. Just like us."

Lyanne, by now completely drunken with iron-hard excitement, bit her lip and no longer walked steadily. Her cock throbbed at full size and her huge balls sloshed as heavy as they could -- to Fel's pure delight.

The islander was startled for just a split moment when Fel wrapped her huge arm across those wide, iron shoulders. But unlike before she didn't shy away or refuse the orc's affection.

Big, orcish tusks flared as its owner stared down into those big green eyes with a smug grin.

There was some question burning on Lyanne's stunning lips, but Fel could hear those words long before they moved.

"What do you say, boss?" Fel winked, her tusks shining proud and bright. "Should we show them what 'big and hard' really means? You and me? Together."

"Aye. You got yourself a deal," Lyanne said, her lovely cheeks rising to a glorious grin as well. "Big Green."

Now there was no telling in who throbbed the loudest.

Those massive roots might've curled around those huge trees like walls, but nothing inside them felt like a fortress. Human, elvish or otherwise.

Nature within those huge roots blossomed just as undisturbed as beyond them. A sea of wild bushes and fruitful trees stretched between small clearings of natural, sparkling creeks and ponds. No houses anywhere. Nothing but untamed nature, home to countless animals. Not there to serve masters, but to roam freely.

Often big and strong animals, but also weird ... and that meant a lot coming from an orc. The desert birthed many strange creatures, but the ones here were just as colourful.

Birds with scales. Tall, four-legged creatures with those weird antlers coming out of their heads, but with feathers and leaves springing on them. Furry little bears with six legs, some even more. In every shade and size imaginable. Even Lyanne and Syn were fascinated by these weird breeds. But what interested Fel most, was how trusting they were. Many animals took turns watching the newcomers and followed them around, unafraid to stay close.

Not that Fel had any reason to mistrust her instincts, but they rarely got proven right this quickly.

Her travels taught her many lessons, but some she had learned all by herself. Like this one:

You can catch a look into someone's heart by how they treat animals.

And Fel was overjoyed to find this just as true here, at Fyr's doorstep, as it was back in the desert. Half a world away.

Not only did Bylasha and her people live in harmony with these animals, but also the trees.

There was no great gate carved into the giant trunk they just entered. No branch looked like it was ever touched by any blade. Everything grew wildly and beautifully, without anything taking away its natural form.

As the group entered, there were no carpets, no 'interior' as humans called it, nothing to take away from nature. Every flower, every colour came naturally. Just like these stunning blue lights extending from twigs like just another sprig without burning the branch.

Bylasha told them these fires were from the spirits themselves. Like them, these flames would choose what they would burn. Any fruit, tree or animal from these lands would get harmed by it. But anything man-made? Even the strongest steel would melt like butter.

While Fel adored that explanation, others were not satisfied yet.

"One of the many gifts from the spirits. I don't know, there is nothing more to know about it really," Bylasha shrugged casually.

She was obviously amused by Syn's constant questions about how those flames came to be. But Bylasha didn't see how her answer made the half-elf's brows perk up in frustration. Fel watching Syn closely did notice though.

This was always the elves' greatest flaw. Their sickness.

They always had to make sense of everything. Not to learn how to love something, but to control it. To turn everything into another tool for their own advantage, even if it was never theirs to use.

Elves just didn't understand. The spirits' ways couldn't be explained, nor could they be stirred by them or anybody else. They didn't care if Syn or anybody else understood them. They just were and always will be.

Fel wholeheartedly hoped she would get to see Syn finally learn that lesson here. Sure, the thought of Syn's elvish half winning out made her heart feel heavy. But Fel would always choose to trust her friend regardless.

It wasn't Syn's fault she was stuck between two worlds, Fel argued with herself. It wasn't one's blood that showed their worth anyway. It was their deeds. That thought made Fel's wary face finally blossom into one of confidence and admiration as she watched Syn.

Syn would always be half elvish, but Fel had no doubt in her heart, that didn't mean that wonderful woman jiggling before her couldn't be fully amazing.

The long, natural corridors stretched deep into the tree. Hollowed out by the endless twists and turns of the trunk's growth. Uneven, easy to trip over for those used to cold stone. Fel didn't stumble once, not even when the sun's light no longer reached them. There was no need for it here anyway.

The spirit's blue flames flickered from almost every branch like a blazing flowers now, illuminating the hallway of roots brighter than any torches ever could.

And then they finally heard distant voices. Laughter. From many throats. Louder and merrier with every step.

Fel almost danced to their wild rhythm, picking up the same melodic accent Bylasha and Telys shared. And the voices' owners would prove just as alluring.

Bylasha waved and smiled as she stepped into the massive room first. The trio was too overwhelmed to follow. Caught up in the wonderful sight before them. Syn even forgot about her 'journal', finally stashed away in her bag.

Small, brightly shining ponds guided sunlight from the single natural opening in the root-covered ceiling into every corner like mirrors. Each pond broke the sunlight into another colour; each ripple on their surface swirled through the entire hall like the spirits were painting those walls themselves.

Lyanne, and for sure Syn, had some fancy word to describe such a beautiful place, but Fel knew what she'd call it.

A hall of colours.

Also befitting of the people gathered there.

Fel stared back at too many pairs of bright blue eyes to count.

For sure more than twice as many as Syn's boys. Scattered all over the room and still many more would've fit easily. Nobody sat in carved seats or rows like humans used to, with someone surely 'important' sitting at the centre. Everybody sat where the flowing roots felt most natural. Their meals spread upon branches that aligned with them nicely, eaten on huge leaves instead of wooden bowls.

"They just get it," Fel thought and couldn't stop grinning.

They passed ever more people, ranging everywhere between Telys and Bylasha in colour, shape and size. Soon, a rising storm of murmurs of voices circled them. Excited, curious whispers accompanied by longing gazes.

Fel loved their attention.

She tensed her muscles and pushed her hips forward. Let her dong lead the way in all its glory. None of them had ever seen anything as huge as Fel now wielded. As much as they all loved staring at the orc and 'Huge Green' below, its master enjoyed showing off its gigantic size and girth even more.

"Psst... Fel," Lyanne whispered eventually. "Do you notice something?"

"Oh... I notice a lot of things," the orc chuckled and flaunted her gigantic shaft with every step.

Lyanne sighed, shaking her head when Fel flexed her arms mid-stride.

"Relax. There are enough for both of us," Fel said, winking.

"That's... not what I mean," the knight said, leaning in for a whisper. "Look at them. Where are their old and frail? Their young? Their men?"

Fel's grey eyes wandered. Lyanne was right. There was not a single man, child or elder to be found in that ocean of women.

She didn't see a problem in finding only ripe women with amazing bodies taking a liking to them. But the orc had to admit, this was ... strange.

"I bet they are somewhere," Fel said, but now also kept her eyes peeled.

Bylasha's head kept spinning, until she finally found what she looked for.

"There you are," she eventually said and halted the group in front one of the darker corners of the hall where only a few women sat by themselves.

"Yorora. Here's someone you should see," Bylasha said as casual as with Telys before. "They are special."

"Special visitors you say?" a powerful voice answered.

Fel knew who it belonged to long before any woman rose from their shared root.

There was no question who Telys' 'big cousin' was. Only one woman looked like her hair was kissed by fire itself and beautifully decorated with flowers and sparkling stones as well.

Her exposed shoulders and legs brimmed with the same strength. But she had even more amazing tits jiggling heavily under just a fine layer of blue-shimmering dress. Feathers filling out its sleeves together with those powerful arms.

Yorora kept rising taller than her cousin though.

By the spirits she wasn't much off Syn! These people didn't care about having a strong leader, but for Fel one thing was clear:

"Now THAT is a chief!" she thought and eyed the big red woman without any hesitation.

Yorora was older than the others. Her body didn't look like it, but Fel could tell she was wiser. Those blue eyes had seen more. She gave that right away, even before she addressed the newcomers.

"You must be pretty special to be invited into the heart of our home this quickly," Yorora said eying Bylasha before turning towards the trio.

"They say they were guided here by the spirits themselves," Bylasha said.

A reverent gasp travelled through the hall.

"The spirits do not choose outsiders," the giant chief said as she climbed over the root separating them.

Yorora's grin was as stunning as her body and made Fel's blood boil even hotter.

The orc rested both her hands on her waist and presented herself, throbbing and huge, as she withstood the chief's gaze with a smirk.

Yorora slowly circled the trio, but Fel felt her gaze the most.

"Or maybe they do now? Outsiders still, but different from the others. Very different," she told the crowd gathered around them.

Her words only earned even more murmurs, before she appeared before them once she got a good look from every angle. "Maybe they really guided you."

"But it takes more than looking different and speaking of the spirits to be special here," she grinned. "Tell me. Do you three know their ways?"

"I do," the orc answered without hesitation.

"Cannot say the same about Syn and Lyanne... for now," she continued, casually pointing at her comrades while flexing her biceps to full size. "But we orcs follow the spirits the same ways you do."

"Orcs."

Many whispers repeating that word rumbled around them.

"We heard stories about 'orcs'. Amazing stories. Bedtime stories. But even this tree has never seen one before," Yorora said, her voice sensual as she stepped closer. "What is your name, orc?"

Fel locked onto those piercing eyes with cheeky joy, her shaft throbbing in delight.

"I am Fel. But you can call me whatever you like," she winked and leaned in. "But I love it when people call me 'Big Green'."

"Big Green," Yorora said, her eyes slowly darting lower, stopping at those huge green tits before her. "Is this how your people worship the spirits?"

But it wasn't the pair of fat milkers she took the most interest in.

She closely observed the fine runes on Brossim's medallion wedged in between the orc's breasts.

"That? No. That is a gift from a friend," Fel answered casually setting the metal amulet on top of her giant milkers and grinned. "You know, I make friends wherever I go. All of us do."

Fel looked around. Sure, Syn and Lyanne begged her to stop talking with their puppy eyes. But Fel wasn't bothered. She grinned widely when she gazed back into all these blue eyes sticking to her huge body.

"And if the spirits so wish, we will make many more here," Fel said seductively.

Yorora grinned just as enticingly and nodded.

"Friends are always welcome. And so are you," she said, turning around, her wide back and ass rippling with muscles. "What is ours we will share. Dira! Minay! Prepare rooms for our visitors. Big rooms."

Women flocked to Yorora like a chief, speaking in a soft tone but giving them orders still.

"That... went better than expected," Lyanne muttered beside Fel.

"Please... I am great at talking and stuff," the orc chuckled.

"Said like a real talker... and stuff," Lyanne teased back.

Both women watched Yorora calmly sending all the smaller women on their way.

"Lyanne?" Fel leaned into the naked knight. "Remember our deal?"

"Yeah?"

"You can have the others," the orc smiled devilishly and followed every motion of Yorora's body closely. "But this one... is mine."

"Why am I not surpri-"

"Hold on," Syn burst in.

"Forgive me, Yorora, but you and Bylasha keep talking about the spirits guiding us here for a purpose. In a time of need. May I ask what peril has befallen these lands?"

Yorora looked at Fel, frowning.

"Does she always speak with such complicated words?"

"You got no idea," Fel grinned and cheekily winked at Syn. "But you get used to it."

Even Lyanne broke a smile, but Syn was all serious and tense.

"Please. We need to know what your people need our help for," Syn said. "What is going on here? Why is the river dying?"

Yorora's warm grin slowly faded, and the pack of whispers returned. Not the happy, excited kind.

"A handful of moons ago another group reached us. Elves. Many of them," Yorora said.

"And you didn't want them here?" Lyanne asked.

"Of course... they are fucking elves," Fel scoffed.

"No! We always loved outsiders visiting us," Yorora said, her eyes flaring up before growing distant. "Until them we did."

The fiery woman sighed and gestured into the crowd.

"We were full of joy seeing another army of elves come here. The first in generations," Yorora's words summoned whispers from the crowd once more.

"But they were no friends. Not for long. They did not respect the spirits. Or our home," Yorora said, sighing in defeat.

"I mean... they are elves," Fel groaned.

"Shhh!" Syn hissed finally. "Please continue."

"They were thankful. At first. Then they kept demanding more. Until they asked of something we could not share," Yorora visibly struggled to continue. "Now they are at war with Fyr herself. And we all suffer. Tree, river, animal... us."

The entire hall was deadly silent now.

"They did not even want to pay our toll. Can you imagine?" Yorora sounded almost sad now. "That had never happened before. We really looked forward to it."

"What is your tol-"

"I will pay it!" Fel cut off Syn without a second thought.

That stirred the crowd back to life. More than that. Their many eyes had grabbed onto Fel's figure before but now... they were devouring her with their gazes.

"Lyanne?" the orc whispered eventually. "What is this 'doll' thingy?"

"That's the price you have to pay to get through somewhere," Lyanne explained.

"Ohh... right. That is good, yes?"

It couldn't be bad, she thought. Not when literally every woman in the room, watched Fel like a piece of meat. While watching her meat.

"I am sure you can, Fel," Yorora bit her lip as well. "But we will talk about that when the time is right. I promise."

Okay, now she was sure it was a good thing.

"You mentioned an elvish army. Generations ago?" Syn asked, completely unable to sense lust unless it was carved into one of her books first.

"A huge army. Right before our home," Yorora answered.

"Do you speak of Lord Dilaran's army?"

The hall erupted now. Like a beehive they summed from every throat.

"There is no child of Fyr who does not know that name," Yorora said softly. "Not one who has not heard the stories about him and his men from their grandmothers."

"Grandmothers? That was... thousands of years ago," Syn gasped. "How... old are you?"

Bylasha chuckled first and wouldn't be the last.

"Old compared to outsiders," Yorora said warmly. "The spirits give us strength and endurance."

Of course, she had to look at the naked orc and equally as naked knight as said that.

"The spirits have blessed us too," Fel returned.

"We can see that," Yorora teased back.

Syn rattled in her bag, which meant only one thing.

"Here we go again," Fel growled in an overly exaggerated tone. "Really? More writing?"

Lyanne calmed down the towering orc with a single touch. This time she wouldn't have to.

"What is that?" Yorora asked when Syn presented the spirit's book.

"This is what led us here. Written by the spirits themselves," she said in a rising voice, the one she always chose when talking to the boys. "Maybe for the sole purpose of showing it to you?"

Yorora held the book like it was about to bite her. At arm's lengths and looked at the cover for some time before grimacing.

"I know this is probably important to you... but what do you want me to do now?" she whispered, almost embarrassed.

"Uhm... read in it?" Syn frowned.

"Oh... well... we do not do that," Yorora said.

"You all can't read?"

Syn sounded shocked and looked almost heartbroken.

"There was never a need for it. The spirits speak and we listen. And we share those stories from old to young. Why should we write about it?"

"Finally! Someone who gets it too!" Fel cheered.

Lyanne threw her head into her hands and Syn looked like she was about drop dead out of disappointment.

"Whatever," she shrugged, wildly shaking her head. "Just flick through it and stop when you see something that looks familiar, please. This could be important."

Yorora did as she was told.

Like Fel she couldn't make sense of the words, but she watched those pictures with great fascination.

Every page she turned, she did so with great care.

"This is our mothertree," she said grinning happily and rubbed the pages. "And the spirits did this?"

"Every painting and every word," Syn said. "Can you make any sense of these pictures? Do they tell a story to you? One you already know?"

"I have never seen or heard about the other places. I do not believe the spirits want me to make sense of it," she said calmly and was returning the book to a now devastated looking Syn.

Ok, now she felt a little bad herself, Fel thought.

But suddenly, just when Syn's disappointed fingertips brushed against the stern cover did the book brim with wild energy once more. Stronger than before.

Fel sensed it standing many feet away. Everybody in the room did so moments later.

The book fell to the ground and flipped through its pages all by itself. A rising wind howled through the hall as more energy flocked into it, drawn from the blue flames burning at the ends of countless branches.

When the pages finally settled and the wind died down did the spirits truly return.

The first invisible brush of paint made everybody in the room shriek and tense. The second shattered their fear. By the third they were all enthralled by the art taking form before their eyes.

A grand forest was growing stroke after stroke on those empty pages. With blue lights under a sea of stars.

"That is Fyr!" Bylasha said as one of the very few who dared to step closer to the ancient book.

The spirits were not done with nature alone. Walls rose soon after. And chains. Wood and Iron. Tall and not belonging to the world drawn around it. Elvish.

Only after adding the silhouettes of countless figures standing atop those walls did the spirits deem their work done and vanish.

Fel was just as hesitant yet still longing to touch the book as anybody else.

"Do books always do that?"

"No, this one is ... rather unique," Syn said and grabbed the book caringly.

"That's how the spirits talk to us," Fel added. "Amazing, right?"

"It is true then," Yorora said motherly. "You are chosen."

No longer brimming with curiosity or excitement, but calm wonder and awe.

"They sent you here for a reason," she said and pointed at the new painting. "This reason."

"What is this place?" Syn said.

Yorora simply grinned and nodded slowly.

"Is it not obvious? This is where the spirits want you to go -- the camp of elves."
