We were both sweating heavily when I lost the block on his communication. He suddenly lunged at me as he screamed, "Rathma! Send all of them now!"
While he was screaming, I had taken both his legs and his other arm. I had almost removed his head when he actually fell from the sky, hitting the ground.
I cursed as I slowly followed him down to where he was. As I approached, he was again laughing manically. "You're too late, without you, they will take all the human world in no time."
I smiled as I opened a portal to the huge field behind my Aunt's house. As we appeared, his smile seemed to fall as there were at least twenty Jinns and another twenty mages.
The main thing that shocked him was the guarding knight that was taking out the undead with ease. Hajib's mouth dropped open as almost a million were down.
He then turned toward me with a new look of astonishment on his face. I cursed to myself as I saw that he was healing astonishingly quick.
I smirked as I told him, "You really thought it was going to be that easy? Especially after I saved the mage prince and they reunited? Please, you have far more enemies than you ever had."
He suddenly smirked at me as what was left of the undead started to grow to over twenty feet high. "Now little abomination, let's see if you can defeat that!"
He then snapped his fingers and his face grew worried as nothing happened. "What's wrong, Jibby? Can't seem to leave or do anything? Yeah, tends to happen when you're spelled to have nothing."
I flew at him swinging my fist at his face, which he managed to mostly duck away from. What did meet his face stunned the hell out of him as he again hit the ground.
He then shocked me as he started to laugh like a mad man. "You think you have defeated me, but I will not be defeated," with that, he turned a ring on his finger and vanished.
"Ah damnit!" I yelled as I shot a beam at him, smiling as he screamed. I dropped back to the ground as the leader of the undead was kneeling before me.
"I accept what destruction and punishment you desire to flay me with," he said. He then lowered his head as he awaited my decision.
I looked down on the undead leader as I thought it through. I knew that a lot of what he'd done was completely against his code.
I then looked at my sister and both the Jinns that were mine. Then my parents, my aunt and her Jinn each had a different look on their face.
"Why am I feeling that all of you want me to destroy him? From what I can see and feel, most of this wasn't his want or doing," I said.
My sister was the first to look at me like I had lost my mind. This was followed by almost the same look from the others.
"Master," my Jinn started. "We will do as you say, but truly, this thing helped our enemy to try and kill you, us. I am not sure that I," here she looked at Cythina. "That we can forgive what was done."
I sighed as I nodded my head and all there were staring at me. "I know, I know, but I am feeling that Jibbly really didn't give him a choice."
I could see that this was going to take a bit to convince them. That and I was going to have to go after Jibbly to finish him off.
I mean, I had a bead on him, but that was a bead. I still had to find him before, I snapped my fingers as I suddenly knew exactly where he'd be.
I asked our parents the time and date, then a smile creeped onto my features. Yes, I thought, I knew exactly where, I just had to make sure I was ready and I only had a day.
I turned to all the mages and Jinns that were there as I discussed what I had planned. A great many of them listened as my idea brought true smiles to their faces.
I then brought out all of the protections and weapons that I had gathered. I knew that they were strong as they had gathered energy from me the total time they had been with me.
I looked at all that were there, as many were astonished that I had all that I did. "Do you actually know how to use all of them? Especially this?" Cythina said as she held up the strange ruby red ring that Queen Amylin had given me.
I half nodded as the ring I was pretty sure of, though it was the only thing I wasn't completely sure of. I knew that no matter what he had, I had a lot of force for good.
We all set up for the next day, for what would be an extremely traumatic day for me. It took all that day into the night and most of the next day to get it all ready.
I had still been trying to scan for Hajib though I still wasn't feeling him. I sighed as the hour, I knew what would happen, when and where.
I and the rest of them, I guess you'd call them a troupe, were there waiting. It was a full hour before it was supposed to happen. I was still afraid that it might fail.
Then it started to rain, thunder and lightening, to the point that there was zero visibility. I almost froze as I watched the semi-truck bare down on my parents and I, the car we were in. This was followed by the maniacal laugh of Hajib, plus his yell of victory.
After the crash, I felt several of the crystals and stones reach out to engulf Hajib. He started to scream as he wasn't able to free himself.
The two shield crystals flared up as Hajib started to fire several titanic blasts toward me. Bouncing back, he yelled as the blasts struck him.
I felt the cave brothers' crystals as they tried to enwrap Hajib but he managed to slip away. He was still struggling, though I felt that he wasn't able to escape as easily.
I started to hit him with everything I had as I felt him finally fall. I rushed to the car as I saw that there was almost no life left in it.
I heard my dad speaking as I used my power to heal most of his injuries. Then I went to work on mom then the strangest thing happened; time stopped completely.
It was a spell I learned years? Days ago, I wasn't sure anymore, then I saw dad and mom look around 'til they saw me.
I gritted my teeth as they thanked me for allowing them to carry out the plan. They could also see that I was pissed as hell about the plan.
I nearly lost it when they went back, as dad left first, then mom. I unfortunately nearly lost it more, when they took my sister and mom touched my young form's head.
I also saw that the one that took Catherine was a family friend. It was taking all that mom and dad could, to hold me back from completely killing the woman.
Both our parents stared into my eyes, telling me I was the only one that could end all of this once and for all. I thought that they were both as crazy as hell as I tried to break away again.
Then dad told me if Hajib escaped that no one, not even me, would be able to stop him. That seriously put a damper on my temper as I could only stare at them for a moment.
Then I thought that they were absolutely correct as I then left to search. It appeared that the coward had run as far as he could.
He had lost the black crystal that had been an opposite to the necklace of the sisters of the light. His black evil energy sword though, was a deterrent for a while. Then I found him in the mountains.
We battled for quite a while as he was still using every dirty trick to get away. Somehow, I managed to trick him by going as high as we could go, then set him to the earth as hard and fast as I could.
The resulting impact scared the hell out of several states as they thought a large bomb had gone off. I stood above him as the ruby ring of Queen Amylin started glowing.
I felt that I had to use this, but was still unsure of how to operate it. That hesitation nearly cost me an eye as he struck with his sword.
So, I was off again, chasing him around the world for a second day. Again, I caught him and was actually using the ring on him when he escaped again.
The third day, I had him trapped again, this time I managed to get the ring to start vacuuming him up. I was hit in the back by no less than twenty of the undead leader's soldiers. Damnit, I had thought we had destroyed all of them.
As I was afraid, he again slipped away, though this time he was far weaker than he had been before. To say that I was beyond pissed when I turned and completely destroyed the undead was an understatement.
I had reached out, nearly hooking him as he fled, but I had used a bit of energy by them. I still had a block on escape through time portals, but I wasn't sure that they would hold.
By the third day I was sure I could find him easily, I was wrong. I spent the rest of the third day looking and not finding.
The whole time I had been looking, I hadn't known that all those that were helping me were also following. So it was fortunate that when Hajib managed to ambush me that they were very close by.
It was also fortunate that there were as many as there were. Their combined power actually managed to damage him enough for him to have to hide again.
I awoke the next day far more sore than I thought I would be. I was far more angry than I thought I would be also at the time.
I started to search as soon as I was out of bed, to no avail. I also found out that the undead we thought were destroyed were only delayed reappearring.
I finally had to get with the ever last master and his Jinns and (very begrudgingly) the Jinn council to help. I was feeling that I should destroy them rather than having them help.
It was about that time that we discovered that Hajib had managed to get his undead friend loose from us.
In an extremely deep and dark cave almost directly across the world from us, Hajib and the undead leader hid. "How could that abomination have defeated me and the army that we had? Hajib said.
His undead friend remained quiet as he knew that if he commented, his existence was over. He had a few ideas as he had been close to the half and half Mage/Jinn.
He actually shuddered at the amount of power that he had felt. It had been the main reason that he had given up as easily as he had.
He knew that, but for the grace of the abomanation he would have been destroyed. He was suddenly conflicted as he owed the abomination his unlife, but loyalty to Hajib.
He had to figure a way out of this as he felt that Hajib had nearly lost his mind. There were many things that he would devote time and energy to and on, but not on a female Jinn.
No, he thought as he shook his head, there had to be a way out of this and survive. Though, the more he thought about it, the less he saw the way out.
Hajib was taking it easy, letting what little power he had tried to rebuild. He found that, for some reason, his rebuilding power was far weaker than it had ever been.
Even with his temper as high as it was, he only had about half his power. They also found out that the returning undead were appearing a lot slower than before.
There was something that seemed to be blocking all his power and Hajib's. It was a wonder that either of them were actually able to use magic at all.
I was pacing all over the place as I was growing more and more worried about Hajib escaping. As I knew if he went back in time he would be far more powerful.
I had already had all the Jinns and Mages to increase the power of the time shield. I was sure that we had him trapped though finding him was proving to be a near impossibility.
I was surprised by the arrival of Mages from several time periods. Though those from the Egyptian time, were the biggest surprise.
I greeted them all with surprise as they pledged their power to stopping Hajib. I spent almost another day trying out several ideas that were quickly rejected.
Everyone agreed that with his power they couldn't be removed, though I had seriously weakened him. The fact that he still had a small army was a point of concern.
I went over the battle that we had, had noting that certain things had worked extremely well. Unfortunately, most of what we had tried had failed miserably or not worked at all.
I and Jake Freemon the ever last master, went over what had worked for me and him. His traps he had made and a few ideas he had were seriously discussed.
I also spent a great deal of time dealing with all the anger I had at my family. Not being trusted as much as they had kept my temper simmering the whole time.
I also was finding it almost unforgivable what the council had done. I felt that had I should have known, that I might have been far better off with my responses.
For a while, I had no answer for the conflict that was tearing at my mind. Then, as if I had a burst of inspiration, I vanished.
When I appeared in front of the 1800s home, I smiled as a familiar older man appeared from the house. " Yup," he started as he walked towards me. "Figured I'd see you soon enough."
I just stood there with my mouth open staring at him. I then smiled as I shook my head, he was married to a Jinn after all.
"So, I see that you are once again dazed and confused, and you think I have the answers. Well, I'm gonna to tell you that I don't. I only have advice if you're willing to take it," he said frankly.
I then launched into what was happening, keeping where and when out of the discussion. He listened, not actually talking, asking very few questions.
When I finished, I waited for him to say something. "Hmmm," he started as he looked straight into my eyes. "As I said before, I know you're kin, just not sure if you're before or after me. I can also see that you and your sister are far more powerful than any I have ever seen. You both seem to have an issue seeing this and trusting your power."
I sighed as I had to agree with him, especially as many times that I had doubted that I could do anything. "That's all well and good Charles but to actually," I stopped as he held up a hand.
"Christ son, it's not that damn hard, you mentioned that you were military?" To which I nodded. "It's no harder than taking and carrying out orders."
I looked at him with my mouth open as he reached over and closed my mouth. "How in the hell," I started and was interrupted again.
"Look, son, you know how strong you are, and I feel that your power has grown. You fought that fucker to a stand still more than anyone ever has. It's no wonder he hasn't gone mad that he CAN'T and hasn't beaten you. The next time you go against him, think about what he has done, how and how you thwarted him, both of you," Charles said.
Suddenly, I saw what he was talking about and nearly felt like an idiot for not seeing, almost. I guess I had a goofy smile on my face as he nodded, then I flashed out.
I appeared a few moments later feeling as hell of a lot better. I walked straight to my sister Catherine and described the plan that I now had.
I then had to describe it to Jake and the royals, the council and the rest there to help. They all smiled and nodded a little upset that they hadn't thought of something so easy.
I left with Catherine holding her hand and telling her how to do certain spells better. After she got the third fairly easily, I smiled as we started to hunt for Hajib again.
It only took us a few hours as I was starting to see where he was hiding after the last few times. Sure enough, we turned up at a deep mine that hadn't been open for several decades.
I hit the opening with quite a few hard blasts as I called out, "Come on Jibbly coward. Afraid that I'll kick your pathetic ass?"
Of course, knowing him, well over a thousand undead appeared at the opening, firing at us. Catherine was surprised when the blasts didn't come close to her.
I sighed and shook my head as I surrounded the entire old mine with a shield with only one way out. As I expected, he came out firing like a mad man, mostly at Catherine surprised and mad when he couldn't hit her.
While I had him held there, he was still far too strong to hold. I had weakened him, yes, but his power was comparable to my own, plus he knew it.
He then sneered when he saw that he really had no way out. "You should just give up, she is mine and has been for thousands of years. It is my right to own her."
I growled at him when he made those statements, "She's not an object to own," I snarled at him.
He had a look of shock, then disgust on his face, "She is a female, they are only here for two things. To please a man and produce a new generation, plus." That was as far as he got as there was a hole in his chest that I had blown there.
"You are more pathetic than I thought. I have broken every curse you ever did, actually quite easily as weak as you are," I snarled at him as I started to blow more holes through him.
He managed to heal rather quickly, but I could see that it had seriously weakened him. "Ah," he started. "I see that the truth has angered you, can't," again he was quieted as I blew his face off.
"I have heard some real crocks of shit, but you? Don't need it as everything out of your mouth is pure shit. I'm glad that I finally managed to shut it," I said with a snarky smirk.
"How dare you!" he shouted, then started yelling as I coiled several miles of cable around him. The cables had been enchanted by many mages.
I had just started to blow him intol pieces when he made a gesture and all but an arm vanished. This time though, I was there awaiting him when he reappeared.
He had managed to reassemble part of himself and vanished almost immediately. When he appeared again, there seemed to be two of him.
The other was a little older looking and had a far more sinister look on his face. "I have heard that you have been having trouble claiming your bride, brother," he said.
Hajib looked at him, then me, "This one, an abomination, has laid claim to her. His power is beyond mine, could you kill him please?"
The brother looked me up and down, smiled then shot several bolts at me. I held up a hand and froze them just as they left his hand.
"Interesting," he said as he made several motions as they started toward me again, then stopped. I made a pushing motion and they reversed and hit the brother.
"Ah I see," he said, then grabbed Hajib and vanished, then they reappeared. "A time barrier, far stronger than I have ever seen. Well, this might take a day longer than I thought."
He pointed at Hajib and the Jinn vanished, then he turned toward me. "It has been a very long time since I had a true challenge. Not since the leader and," here he stopped as he had spotted the Jinn royals and Jake.
I smiled as I saw the brother start shaking. "Oh," I said. "I see you know the ever last master," then I smiled.
