I was stunned... and confused by this approach... and didn't care if it showed. I almost forgot that she had spoken the words in Japanese. But Keeley could interpret the tone well enough and jumped right back in swinging.

"No, he doesn't! I just told you that a moment ago in the ladies room! I purposely chose not to ask him those questions! I know him! I know who he is! What he will do! Especially when it counts the most!"

I couldn't help but wince at that statement... and because I had finally shown some real emotion... the woman wearing a twisted version of Kyla's face drove the knife into me even deeper.

"Someone else thought that once before and got hurt for that misbelief! Didn't they, my dear? You are a complete bastard! She knows almost nothing! You arranged this little meeting expecting Kyla to fill her in. To do your dirty work for you. Again! But your 'new' used cunt there wouldn't even let her do that much! And you KNEW that was going to happen ahead of time!"No Good Deed Goes Unpunished! Ch 02 фото

Keeley just stared at what was left of her new female friend. She tried to return the kick she'd gotten earlier but the nimble legs dodged her first and second attempts.

Something was very wrong.

"You've brainwashed her into believing that you are oh so innocent. That you have so much control and honor. That you have no ulterior motives in chasing her! You're a fake and a liar!"

"No, he's not! I know him even better than you do!"

The blue eyes flashed again... in victory at the opening just given her... and then snapped at the too trusting redhead. "How many women has he slept with? What did he tell you? Do you even know who they are? Name them! If you even can!"

Keeley faltered a bit, suddenly unsure of herself. "That doesn't matter to me!"

"But if he lied about it... that would matter! Right? Just answer my question!"

"Th-three. I'm the th-third. His ex-wife. One other. And then me, just last n-night."

A snort of triumph sounded loud in the garden space and then was followed by cruel laughter. The tables below us surely must have been able to hear the cackling.

"Is that what he told you? Just three? No one else, huh? And you believed him? You're the one whose pathetic!"

The look on my face must have been dead blank. Angry for sure. Frozen somehow, but I managed to force the words out anyway. And they were full of barely concealed menace so much greater than the raving dark haired woman's.

"Shut up! You have no right! No right to judge anyone at all."

I knew my words were quiet and had a strange tone to them. One that Keeley wouldn't like to hear on my lips. And would hope to never hear again.

But my antagonist laughed again at that statement and kept right on laughing. Her eyes took on a strange manic quality... and she blurted out her next sentence quickly... as if she was afraid I would stop her somehow.

"You're sweet little 'man' over there was with two women... at the same time... just over ten year's ago. And one of them certainly wasn't his wife! What do you think of that, Missy?"

Kyla suddenly clasped her hands to her mouth and held them tight against her lips. The panicked look she now gave both of us was even more disturbing. The deep blue of her eyes lightened, softened, watered and then her whole body trembled.

She went to get up and run away but refused to remove her hands from her face. Without the use of her hands... she was stuck... unable to help push herself away from the table.

The look in her eyes was of utter confusion and hopelessness. The petite temptress somehow shrank and became someone else. The loving mother of two tried again to flee but couldn't manage it. Not without letting the next set of potentially fatal words come out of her mouth.

Locked into a stalemate... with no possible good outcome... I had to do the escaping for her.

But I'd been so frozen by the look of ultimate disaster... that had just been forced from the now familiar blue eyes... that I overreacted badly. Instead of just standing, I rocketed upright and overturned my chair.

Then helpless myself... I unfortunately just started shouting back... and I didn't even know what was coming out of my mouth until it was too late.
