Chapter 12

Linda had hired a lawyer to get her divorce started the day she left her husband. She gave him a $600.00 deposit. The lawyer ended up running off with the money with no work rendered. It seems he had snuffed it up his nose. She had to find another lawyer to execute the divorce proceedings. That slowed things down considerably on her divorce.

When Linda left her husband she didn't even tell any of her family where she was for about 3 or 4 weeks. She didn't want the ex to find out where she was. Also her mother and her weren't that close anyway. They still aren't as far as that goes. Linda has always been considered the black sheep by her mother.

Linda finally called and talked to her sister and let her know that she was safe. Linda didn't tell her where she was though. She did eventually call her mother and talked to her about why she left. Her mother told Linda that she couldn't understand why she left. Her parents were real close with her asshole ex. I just don't get it, but that is the way they were. A few weeks before Christmas, Linda and I baked a whole bunch of homemade cookies and candies. We sent a couple big boxes of them to her parents as a Christmas gift. Over a week went by and we hadn't heard anything from them. No phone call, no thank you, nothing. Finally I got pissed and I called her mom. I have never told Linda about this! I asked her if they received the packages? She said yes she had gotten them on the second day after we sent them. That really upset me to say the least.

I told her that she should have at least had the common courtesy to have called Linda and thanked her. I told her how rude it was of them to just ignore her. I told her mom that she had better be calling Linda and thanking her that evening! I was pissed off and she knew it! I also told her not to mention me calling them either. I wanted Linda to think that they had called her on their own.

Her mom and dad called and talked to her for over an hour that evening. Linda was so happy about the phone call that we stayed up most of the night just talking about it. I have never told her about this. I won't let anybody mistreat Linda. Not even her mother.

We hosted a small family gathering at our house for my family before Christmas. Linda and I wanted to show off our finished home and I wanted to show Linda off to all of my brothers and sister. We had a buffet luncheon. The food was all homemade and tasted great. They all seem impressed at what a great hostess my Linda was. Not to mention how beautiful she is. I was so proud to show her off to my family or anybody for that matter!

Linda and I didn't have many material things that first Christmas but we had each other and that is worth more than anything else in the world! Christmas had actually arrived early that year. It arrived on the 5th of September when Linda said she would take a chance on me!

Linda giving me herself is he most precious and best present that I could ever have. Linda gave me another precious and much cherished gift for Christmas. She gave me some glamour shots that she had taken of herself. I still to this day carry one in my wallet and show it off often. I even have one on my cell phone that I show off to everyone. She is so beautiful and I love showing her off.

I don't know how I was so fortunate to have such a gorgeous wife. She surely could have had her pick of any man in the world. Yet somehow she chose me. I am so blessed to have her! Thank you God!
