Author introduction: The rational behind this explanation can be found in Quer12's comment and request which follow my published story All Fetishes Great and Small.
Dear Quer12,
First of all, may I express my gratitude for your comments on my stories. I do read all comments, and yours are consistently positive and encourage me to write more. I would normally have sent you a private message, but on looking up your home page, I found that you do not accept such communications. Hence this open letter, which I hope will go some way to explaining my silence on Literotica.
I'm so glad that you enjoyed All Fetishes Great And Small. As I said in my introduction to that story,
"My boyfriend was amused when Richard told him that I write erotic stories in my spare time, and that they have been published here on Lit. He readily agreed when I suggested that I write a story about us. So, for my readers' information, most of what follows is true. However, Luke does not have a sister, and whilst he is open to trying most kinks and fetishes, he is not a dominant master when we get together. Amanda does exist though. She is the receptionist at the dental practice in our town, and I find her naive innocence such a turn on! I have no idea of her sexual preferences, or if she has any kinks or fetishes, but as is my wont, I love putting people I know into sexual situations that turn me (and possibly them!) on."
At the time of writing that story, I had been with Luke for about four months. I added "Chapter 1" to the title, because, as I admitted somewhere in the story that I felt that Luke was a keeper, and I intended to write more about his and my time together as lovers.
Life, however, can be a bastard. It was just before Christmas 2025, and Luke, Richard and I were planning a very special time over the Festive season. Fate had different plans.
Luke had just finished treatment on an elderly patient's dog. She had called at his surgery to collect her pet, who was awake, but still a bit groggy from the anaesthetic she had been given prior to her operation. Luke offered to carry the dog out to his patient's owner's car.
What happened next is very painful to write, even a year later.
A drunken driver, on his way to his office Christmas party, mounted the kerb, narrowly missing the old lady, but ploughing strait into Luke. At the trial, he was found to be more than four times over the legal limit for alcohol, and this was before he went to the party. It emerged that he'd been drinking for most of the afternoon in the office.
Luke suffered concussion, a broken femur, pelvic damage, a dislocated elbow and several cracked ribs. In hospital, he was in intensive care for nearly four weeks. Recovery was slow and painful. The consultant was reluctant to discharge him because he lived alone, and it was thought that he would not be able to look after himself adequately. Richard agreed that Luke could come and live with us whilst he recuperated. He was here for about five months, during which time his vet practice collapsed, due to the fact that he was the owner and he couldn't afford to pay his nurse or his receptionist.
Originally from the north east of England, Luke was offered a position in a practice which operated a chain of surgeries in and around the Durham area. He had little choice but to accept, and we parted, as friends, some months ago.
I have managed a few one night stands since, but I have not yet succeeded in replacing Luke with a regular lover. I cannot escape the fact that I am getting older, and probably less attractive to the younger man - the type I have always preferred as a lover.
In the time that Luke was in hospital, and then when he moved here, I found it difficult to write. My mind was totally focussed on my school work and on Luke's recovery. I have started several stories since Luke went away. Ironically, two of them are continuations of already published works. I'll get around to finishing them one day, I hope.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience, your kind comments and your support. I assure you that I am truly grateful.
