Back in the gathering hall, with every eye on her, Jace opened the message and read Jalissa's report aloud.
"We can't all go. This is just to get eyes on and report back to the commander. She'll send in a squad if he's there," Jace said to the protest of the others in the room.
Jace had decrypted the message from Jalissa. Commandant Vicker's ship had been spotted approaching a nearby moon. She wanted to know if the team had made it to Golac. If they had, they were the closest asset the commander had to verify the report.
She was also adamant that the team was only to verify the report and get a visual on Vicker. It was possible he had a security team and at this point that team may be Legorthian. Once the report was verified and the commander knew what size force she was dealing with, she would send in a unit to apprehend.
After the attack on the base, the entire team was looking for retribution. Everyone was shouting and clamoring to go as a team, capture Vicker, and serve him justice for the death of Ralsch. Jace was attempting to calm them down but it was not working.
"Everybody listen!" Jace yelled, the sharpness had returned to her voice for the first time since snapping at Sommar before she went on patrol and ended up in the meadow.
"I'm just going to pull rank at this point. I am the senior officer. I am the one that makes the decisions. I will decide who goes and who stays. You can not like it. You can call me a bitch. I don't care. This is what was directed, and it is what will be done," she finished.
Jace laid out the plan for the entire team. She and Karg would board Zlacka's vessel and travel to the moon of the reported sighting. The rest of the team would remain here on Golac as a quick response unit if needed.
The armored transport was to be loaded with the remaining supplies. Souside and the Legorthian were to be secured in the detainment quarters on the transport vessel. Sommar would be in charge of monitoring the communications. If Jace or Karg signaled for assistance the team was to take off and head directly to Karg and Jace's last known location.
Jace also let the team know that she and Karg would check in at regular established notification times. If they missed one of those check ins, the team was to travel directly back to the capital and inform commander Simmons. This was not negotiable.
There were still some murmurs of protest but it was clear that Jace had made her decision. Sommar looked on and had a look of hurt on her face. Jace pulled her to the side to speak to her.
"Hey, I wanted to say I am sorry for before. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. You didn't deserve it. I was caught up in my own thoughts about this place and I took it out on you. I am sorry," Jace said softly and sweetly to Sommar.
"I appreciate that. I figured you were in your own head and that's what caused it," Sommar responded looking at the floor.
"What's wrong Mar? It's more than me biting your head off isn't it?"
"It's nothing."
"Mar. C'mon. It's me. I know something's wrong."
Sommar sighed and looked up at Jace. She knew Jace wouldn't let this go without an explanation. She knew she had no choice but to explain her feelings.
"Why are you leaving me behind Jace? We've come this far together on this mission. This feels very much like it did in the past. This has always been the part where you and I close our case and take in our suspect. Now you're leaving me out, to monitor comms?" Sommar let it spill out.
Jace took Sommar's hands in hers. She gave them a reassuring squeeze. Sommar's feelings weren't unfounded, but she needed to assure her this was the right call.
"Mar. I am not doing this to keep you from finishing this case. I am doing this because this is the end. This is the part where we get the suspect. We get justice. This is the part where we use this to get your freedom. Not 'supervised detainment' where you are beholden to my command. If this goes as planned, there is a very good chance you'll get to go home if you want. See your sister. See your mother. Hug your family. I need you here and safe to get that for you," Jace explained.
"What if what I want is to be beholden to you?" Sommar's response was quiet but powerful.
"Well we can discuss that once you're free. That can't happen if I get you hurt or worse," Jace replied.
Sommar looked deep into Jace's eyes. She saw the sincerity in them. Jace was doing this for her security. As always Jace was putting Sommar's safety before her own. Tears began to form in her eyes and slowly spilled down her cheeks.
"You better not miss those comms check ins or I'll be extremely upset with you," Sommar said as she wiped away the tears from her face.
"Besides hon, I think HE really needs this. He needs to see Vicker in restraints," Jace said tilting her head towards Karg.
Sommar nodded and the pair hugged. Jace pulled away after a few moments and moved to gather up her supplies. Once done she moved to Karg's side.
"You ready?" Jace asked.
"Yes I am," Karg responded.
Jace and Karg made their way to the vessel they would be taking. They got onboard and into the cockpit. As Karg took the pilot's seat and began powering up the engines, Jace looked over at him.
"Karg. I need you to answer a question for me. I need a truthful answer before we leave this place," Jace's voice was calm and measured.
"Of course," Karg returned.
"We are only going to locate Vicker. We are not going to try and capture him. We are in no way going to kill him. I only ask because I know this is very personal for you and I need to know before we lift off that I made the right choice in choosing you because of how much you want to bring him to justice for Zica. I need to know while I still have the chance to replace you in that seat if I need to," Jace said with a concerned voice.
Karg slowly nodded. He took a moment to gather his thoughts. He looked directly at Jace and placed his hand over hers.
"Jace, I understand your concern. I also know you chose me because of how personal this is to me. I want to assure you that no matter what happens I would never do anything to make you feel disappointment in me. You have my word that I will only do what you direct me to do as my superior," Karg answered.
Jace winked and gave him a smile. "Fire those engines and let's go find this bastard."
Jace and Karg travelled towards the moon where the sighting was reported. Karg circled the moon as Jace worked the scanners for any sign of vessels or lifeforms. They had almost completed one full revolution when something appeared on the scanner.
"I've got something. Let's enter the atmosphere for a closer look, but stay near in the exosphere so we aren't seen," Jace reported.
Karg slowed down and they began a more thorough search of the moon's surface. They had just about completed another rotation when Jace once again located the same signal as before. Karg slowed the vessel even more and Jace initiated a deep scan.
"It's some type of craft. Ordinal class. Mid size. Based on the specs here it could be Vicker's but we still need to view it to be sure," Jace said.
"I'll find a place to set down where we won't be detected," Karg stated.
Karg located a set of rolling hills and guided the vessel for them at high altitude to continue avoiding detection. Jace initiated the signal cloaker to avoid being picked up by the scanner of the vessel they were tracking. Once Karg felt they were safely out of view he set the vessel down at the foot of a hill using the natural structure to shield the view of the craft.
Jace did a check of the atmosphere and determined the air was slightly heavier than they were used to but definitely breathable. They grabbed some weapons, long range scopes, and a few other supplies and exited the vessel. The tracked vessel was a short walk and over a couple of hills. They decided to use the landscape as natural cover and make their way towards the location they had tracked.
When they stepped out and onto the surface of the moon they noticed the ground was spongy but powdery. Each step they took they sank into the surface slightly and a cloud of dust lightly plumed around their boots. There was also no sound to their steps as if the fine dust deadened each step they took.
Once they made their way to the crest of the closest hill to their target location, they both went prone and pulled out scopes to view the dormant vessel closer. Scanning back and forth looking for the occupants of the craft and verifying they hadn't been detected. Once they confirmed they were undetected, Jace zoomed in on the vessel and began looking over details of the hull.
"That arrogant ass!" Jace quietly exclaimed.
"What do you see?" Karg asked.
"It's Vicker's vessel. He literally escaped in his issued transport. It has the IPDF commandant markings on the hull," Jace said.
"Now we just have to verify he is here and not just his transport," Karg replied.
Karg noted that the vessel seemed to be powered down or in low power mode at the most. None of the exterior service lights were illuminated. The entry ramp was also in the stowed position.
"If he's still here he's inside the craft," Karg said.
"Ok. We wait and keep scanning for any activity. If we don't see anything by the rise, we'll come up with a new plan," Jace answered back.
Jace and Karg waited and watched. Watched and waited. The moon's rotation was causing the light of the nearest sun to slowly fade. As it did, a chill began to fall over the surface. It wasn't cold, but cool enough that Jace wished she had packed a poncho to slip on over her tunic. Karg noticed her fidgeting and rubbing her arms. He reached out one of his massive arms and pulled her closer to him to share his body heat.
When Karg pulled Jace into his warmth she suddenly felt much better, and worse at the same time. Better because his body heat warmed her own body. Worse because being this near to Karg after her failed opportunity in the meadow caused the cravings within her to begin to ratchet up again. As much as she wanted to push Karg to his back and mount him, this was not the time.
"Jace! Look!" Karg said, breaking Jace's train of thought about her need for sexual gratification.
Jace looked through her scope. The viewport of the vessel's cockpit was lit up. She couldn't directly see the people in the cockpit, but there were two of them.
"Ok, we need to call in Jalissa. Somebody is down there. If it isn't Vicker, they probably know where he is," Jace stated.
"We're too far out to use a secure channel to her," Karg noted.
"I have an idea," Jace said and sat up slightly.
Jace opened her communicator and began a message to Sommar. Her hope was that the rest of the team was still in range for secure comms, but far enough out to send one of their own to Jalissa. Jace began to type the message once confirming that the security channel was active.
"Located Vicker's personal transport. Activity within the cockpit, but cannot verify Vicker is aboard. Location is near upper pole of moon 156 degrees from horizon tip. Forward message to commander Simmons with urgent status."
Jace and Karg watched as the message noted it was sending. The flashing red blip noting that the message was still being transmitted began to cause the anxiety to rise in both of them. Then suddenly the blip went dark and the transmission confirmed on the screen.
"Now we wait and keep watching to see if we can get a view of Vicker before Jalissa arrives," Jace said and again peered into her scope.
Some time had passed and Jace hadn't received a message from either Sommar or Jalissa. Her eyelids began to grow heavy as she continued to watch through the scope at the subtle movements of the beings in the cockpit of the vessel. Jace felt herself dozing off to sleep and she violently shook her head to ward off sleep.
"Jace, get some rest. I will wake you if anything happens. We need you at full strength when we capture the commandant," Karg said to her.
Jace smiled up at him. As Karg always did he put her needs above his. The more he did things like that, the harder he was making it for Jace knowing that he would one day return to Volkar to rule. When that day came she would just be left with the memories of him and he of her.
Jace snuggled up to Karg's warm body and lay her head on her arm. She closed her eyes and was soon asleep. She was comfortable and content and that allowed her to rest peacefully and soundly.
Jace felt Karg slightly shaking her. Her eyes flew open and she looked around.
"How long have I been asleep? What's going on?" Jace asked.
Karg motioned for her to be quiet and pointed over the ridge. Jace located her scope and looked through it towards the vessel. She quickly focused on a beam of light that was protruding from the side. The entry ramp had been lowered and four shadows moved about outside the craft.
"What are they doing?" Jace whispered.
"I am not sure. It appears to be Vickers personal detail from what I can derive. They appeared just before I woke you. They exited the vessel and began looking around and up towards the sky," Karg's hush voice answered.
Jace quickly looked at her communicator. Nothing from Zlacka's team or Jalissa. She craned her neck and looked up at the star laden sky above. She scanned the stars looking for something amiss. Then she saw it.
She tapped Karg's arm and pointed to the object she had spotted. At first it appeared to be a star but it was moving along the curvature of the atmosphere. It was reflecting the light from the nearest star in a shimmering pattern. Karg located the object and they watched it for a few seconds.
"That's a vessel on approach," Karg whispered.
"Let's hope it's friendly," Jace returned.
Jace and Karg alternated from watching the guard detail that were also watching the approaching craft and watching the shimmering light growing larger meaning it was getting closer. They both noticed that the guard detail did not seem concerned and that made both Karg and Jace nervous. If the guards were not concerned, that meant they were expecting the incoming vessel.
Soon the approaching vessel descended through the atmosphere and came within range so that Jace and Karg could use their scopes to identify it. Immediately they were able to identify the craft. It was a Legorthian shuttle. Karg and Jace shared a knowing look.
The type of shuttle on approach was a support vehicle from a Legorthian cruiser. That meant high above them orbiting this moon was a Legorthian ship of war. Vicker had obviously struck a deal and the Legos were sending a hefty defense to extricate him.
Jace shifted her gaze to Vicker's ship hoping to get a visual confirmation of him. Karg continued to watch the approaching shuttle. As he did he caught something else entering the atmosphere.
"Jace, we have to move!" Karg said, grasping her arm and pulling her down the slope of the hill.
Jace was beginning to protest when she looked up and saw two pairs of Legorthian fighters appear above the shuttle. The fighters moved into formation. Two of the pilots escorted the shuttle as it began to land, the other two began flying low as if they were searching for something.
Jace and Karg reached the valley below them and began to run, staying close to the hill for cover. Both of them knew the fighters would soon find the vessel they had arrived on and begin searching for them. They both scanned the landscape ahead for a better place to hide.
"Once those fighters find the vessel they'll destroy it and begin searching for us," Karg said as they ran.
Just then Jace heard the roar of one of the fighters above. She looked up to see that it was still high enough up that it would be able to spot them. She looked ahead and saw the hills on each side of her and Karg closing in together narrowing the valley they were running along.
Just then in the distance an explosion rang out. The vessel had been visually located and destroyed. Jace and Karg were stranded on this moon. That wouldn't matter if one of those fighters located them and fired on them in this narrowing valley.
Karg noticed a small rock formation ahead. It consisted of a group of rocks jutting up from the ground in a semi circle. He quickly went to it and looked. It would be a tight squeeze, but both Jace and him could fit in the area between the rocks and would be undetected if one of the fighters passed overhead.
"There!" Karg yelled, pointing at the rock formation.
Karg helped Jace enter the formation and then followed her as quickly as he could. Once inside they huddled down against the rocks attempting to blend in with the landscape. The only sound was the heavy breathing as they tried to recover from their sprint to their temporary shelter.
The pair watched from the cover of the rock formation as the fighters flew over the surface searching for the occupants of the Alliance vessel they had just destroyed. Multiple times one of the fighters would fly directly overhead and bank to its side so the pilot could get a view of the valley below them.
This carried on for some time until the search was abandoned. Jace and Karg assumed the fighters were called back to escort the shuttle back to the cruiser. Suddenly another explosion was heard in the distance.
"They just destroyed Vicker's transport," Jace said.
"They must be making sure we cannot leave this moon," Karg replied.
Karg and Jace quickly realized they were stranded until they got word from Jalissa or Zlacka. Jace smirked as the irony of being stranded with Karg again was fitting, based on the circumstances that had led to this moment. She laughed as she thought about it.
"What are you finding so comical?" Karg asked with a puzzled look on his face.
"Just the whole situation. Feels kind of familiar doesn't it?" Jace answered
"You are right. What are the possibilities that we would be in this situation yet again?"
"The odds are astronomical that the two of us would be stranded together in nearly identical situations twice."
Jace gave him a wink and opened her communicator. Assuming the Legorthians were leaving the area she attempted to contact the commander on the open frequency. She got a response and explained the situation.
Being that both vessels on the moon were destroyed and it was possible they may still be in danger, Jace and Karg were ordered to stay hidden. Jace was told a transport was en route to rescue them. She was given an ETA and she closed the communicator.
A devious smile formed on Jace's face. She looked at Karg as she sat against a rock. She parted her legs a bit, enticing him to look her way.
"So, what are we going to do to kill time until they come get us? It's going to be awhile," Jace said in a low, sultry voice.
Karg smiled back at her, "You can show me your teets."
They both laughed at that reference to the first time they were together on that desolate planetoid. Jace crawled forward and sat in Karg's lap, facing him. She leaned in and planted a firm kiss on his lips before pulling back.
"What are you going to do if I show them to you?" she asked him.
Karg smiled and reached up pulling Jace's uniform down exposing her massive chest to him. His hands went to the glorious orbs and he began to knead them. Jace lowered her head so her forehead rested on Karg's.
Her hips began to rock and rotate in Karg's lap. She could feel him beginning to swell under his loin cloth. Jace took Karg's face in her hands and she peered deep into his eyes.
"Mmmmm, yeah I think this is what we did to kill time last time we were in this situation," she purred.
It didn't take long for Jace to get worked up. All of the sexual tension in her body was only amplified by her previous failed attempt to relieve it. This caused her body to kick into overdrive. She was instantly wet. Her loins ached to feel Karg deep within her.
Jace couldn't hold back any longer. She reached down with both hands and undid Karg's loin cloth and let it fall to the ground below them. Once his massive tool sprung free she raised the hem of her tunic and let her drenched lips slide along the underside of Karg's shaft until she reached the round knob atop.
Jace placed one hand on Karg's shoulder to balance herself. With the other she aimed his tool at her waiting hole and sank down on the hardness beneath her. She didn't take her time as she normally would. She was out for satisfaction and the firm girth spreading her open sent a shockwave through her as she impaled herself on Karg.
Once Karg was firmly seated inside of her, Jace grasped Karg's free shoulder. With his broad shoulders firmly in her hands, Jace began to raise and lower her lower body, fucking herself along Karg's mating staff. It was a hurried pace with one intention, ending her torment.
Jace moved her body at a hurried pace. The sound of her hips slamming down into Karg's echoed off the rock formation surrounding them. Jace was riding Karg like a woman fixated on one outcome, her pleasure.
Karg held Jace's hips in his hands. They had been together many times since the first time, but he had never seen her acting in such a wanton fashion. It was almost as if Jace had forgotten Karg was there. She was only focusing on the large slab of man that was stretching her hole wide and causing her immense pleasure.
Jace's thrusts became more forceful. Karg's pole was hitting all the right places and her peak was close. Her eyes clamped shut. Nothing would stop her this time. Not the communicator, not the arriving transport, not even Karg could stop her now if he wanted to.
Jace's hips came to a full stop. Her pelvis was fused with Karg's. Her walls gripped tightly around Karg. She cried out just as the first twitch began to roll through her body. Then the dam holding in all of that pent up need broke.
Every muscle in Jace's body tensed. A white hot heat spread from her pelvis through the rest of her limbs. Her skin began to tingle. The slowly building surge then broke through.
Her muscles released and her pussy began to spasm. Her breathing became erratic. All at once everything went black. The pleasure washed over her. Consuming her.
"Ohhhh, that's it. Arrrrrggghhhhh mmmmpppffff," Jace groaned.
Jace threw her head back and cried out as if her body was on autopilot. Her arms pulled her torso tight against Karg's. He could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Her breath was coming in a short ragged cadence. The grip her walls had when they clamped down and released would have forced Karg's organ from her canal had she not been perched upon it.
Jace's body began to go limp. Her breathing slowed and became more controlled. Her head lie on Karg's shoulder and the sweat from her brow dripped down onto his skin.
"I needed that," Jace began speaking. "Give me a chance to catch my breath and then I want you to fill me up with your juice Karg. How do you want me?"
Karg's favorite way to enter Jace was face to face so he could watch the expressions on her face when her peak hit. While he enjoyed that very much he found that entering her from behind offered them both the maximum amount of pleasure. He waited until he felt Jace's body feel as though it was fully recovered.
"I want to mount you from behind. That is the way that seems to bring us the most fulfillment," Karg said.
Jace raised her head and looked at him. She had this feeling coming over her and she needed to let Karg know that this time was going to be different than any of their previous couplings.
"Karg, I need you to not be so formal with me right now. I want you to ravish me. Use my body for your pleasure. I don't want you to 'mate' with me. I need you to fuck me," Jace said with desire glazed eyes. "You think you can do that?"
Karg nodded. Before Jace could speak another word he raised her up with his powerful arms. He quickly spun her to her stomach and yanked her hips up. Jace yelped a little at the sudden forcefulness by the powerful Volkarian. He was about to give Jace exactly what she asked for.
Karg quickly lined himself up with Jace's still quivering hole and buried himself into her with one powerful surge. Jace cried out at the sudden intrusion and feeling of being completely filled. She arched her back allowing Karg to slip further into her depths. His crown pushed against her cervix sending a little jolt of discomfort through her womb.
Before Jace could protest, Karg pulled back and thrust forward again. Hard. He began driving into her with savage thrusts. He used his hands to hold Jace's hips still as he pounded into her.
This. This is exactly what Jace wanted, no, needed. She needed her body to be pushed to its limits. To have its pleasure centers on overload and ready to melt down at any minute. To expel any lingering desire for pleasure. She needed her urges to be eradicated.
Karg continued pistoning himself in and out of Jace. For once he thought not of her pleasure but only of his own. He felt his own release building. For the very first time, he was not going to offer Jace a choice where that release happened.
Jace came again. This one just as powerful, but with no build up. One second her tight sleeve was being wrecked by Karg's impressive rod, the next she was nearly fainting from orgasmic waves crashing over her.
Jace's climax pushed Karg right to the brink. His pace slowed but his thrusts became somehow even more forceful. Three violent strokes later he buried himself as deep as he could go and held there.
Karg gnashed his teeth. His jaw clenched. Then he roared. The roar of a man that had just conquered his greatest challenge.
As he vocally announced his release, Karg also physically erupted. Deep inside of Jace he fired volley after volley of his copious mating fluid. Karg's shaft swelled and contracted with each shot.
A weakness fell over Karg. He felt drained as if every ounce of strength he had was expelling itself through his mating staff into Jace. It was a euphoric feeling he had never encountered.
As Karg's last remaining ribbons slowly oozed into Jace, the pair collapsed to the soft powdery ground below them. They were both panting out of breath. They lay there in an intertwined heap of flesh and they both fell into a deep blissful slumber.
It was Jace that awoke first. The sound of a voice caused her brain to kick in and wake the rest of her body. She was still impaled on Karg's pole so she gently slid her hips up and off of him.
"Jace? Karg? Are you there?" It was Jalissa's voice coming from the communicator.
"Yes. Yes commander we are here. We fell asleep waiting on the transport," Jace returned.
Karg sat up and looked at Jace as the fog of sleep began to dissipate from him.
"Activate your beacon and I'll send a rescue team. Once on board I'll give you the good news," commander Simmons said.
"Did you get him?" Jace asked.
"You'll be briefed once you are on board officer. Just know you won't be disappointed.
Jace reached up and grabbed Karg's face. She gave him a deep passionate kiss. As she pulled away she gave him a wink.
"Thank you. I needed that. Now get dressed, sounds like we are getting rescued," Jace said with a demure smile.
