"If she's not home yet, I'm getting back in the car to cool off. Gawd, it's steamy out here," Prof. Pettit complained, climbing the steps to the oversized porch.
"It sounded like she was almost home when I called," Phinn relayed, stopping to stand before the heavy-looking oak front door. He reached out to push the buzzer before taking a step back....
The Last Incubus: Chapter 20
Note to readers: this chapter contains some light bondage--sort of.

Foxy - Wild West's Bounty Hunter
Episode 1 - Sands of Sin
Author: boniau
The desert sprawled endless and merciless under a sky ablaze with the sun's dying fury, a crimson smear bleeding into the horizon over Crimson Sands. The air shimmered with heat, thick with the tang of dust and sagebrush, as a faint wind stirred the parched earth, whispering secrets of forgotten outlaws and buried bones. In the distance, the silhouette of The Rusty Spur saloon loomed--a squat, weathered husk of warped wood and...
Chapter Eleven
Jacob arrived at the community college forty minutes early, too restless to remain in his apartment until the appointed time. The campus was alive with mid-afternoon activity--students hurrying between classes, lounging on the quad, studying at outdoor tables. He felt out of place among them, too old to be a student, too young to be a professor, his scarred face drawing the usual quick glances before eyes slid away....
Every picture tells a story: Part 4
Note to readers: Read Parts 1, 2 & 3 first; you will enjoy this so much more if you do.
Pete has a recurring nightmare that Bill and Mary cuck him. In it, Bill invites his friends over to bang Mary as Pete is forced to watch. Pete realized how close he came to losing everything. This chapter is far darker than the others. Love it or hate it, please leave a comment....
(Part 2 of 6)
Leo kept trying to get the curl to lay just right on his forehead. He knew he was having a case of the nerves but he couldn't stop himself. But time was up so he gave up and straightened his tie.
"How do I look?" He asked without turning away from his reflection.
"You can see yourself, right?" Tanya asked with a note of mockery....
Chapter 86
"Left here," Falen said as they split away from the main column of people marching the last kilometer or so to the palace. "The main roads are going to be the most crowded, but I've picked a spot that should see us clear of the main press of bodies."
"Will we run into patrols?" Allora asked....
Author's Note: This story supports my previous longer work, The Patagonian Affair. While this story can be read as a one off, it is part of a larger series. Enjoy.
Canberra - March 2003
It was close to midnight when Camilla's car drove into the visitor's spot in Jeremy's apartment's parking garage. He said that he would stay awake until she arrived, even though she'd told him not to wait. But even if he had already fallen asleep, she would still come and spend the night....
A Minor Lunar Standstill
As war rages on the moon, everyone just wants to get off.
TW: Mild suicidal ideation, references to past unhealthy relationships, threats of violence, explosions, burn wounds, references to long hospitalizations, war, mildly dubious consent, sex work, mildly degrading language toward sex workers, homelessness, joblessness, drug side effects, body image issues, passing out...
I couldn't believe it. Truly, this should not be happening.
But here I was, balls deep in something I shouldn't be.
What am I balls deep in, you may wonder.

Welcome back gentle reader
If you have kept up with my bio updates, you will have seen that the economic turmoil and the tariff war cost me my job. It's actually taken up more of my time job hunting than what work did, which is really weird. I should get paid more to search for work. This is going to affect my writing, but it is too early to say how much. But enough about my issues....
WARLORD Chapter 1
This is a non-erotic isekai adventure (stranger in a strange world). Thanks to my editors, Alianath Iriad and Lastman416, for their advice and corrections. Any remaining errors are mine.
I was tired. Once again, I'd got caught up in my latest 'Defence of the Realm' campaign, and completely lost track of time. It was almost 2:45 AM. In my own defence, the game was absolutely addictive. It had a complex military-economic-technology system, which was deceptively easy to learn, but quite...
Love My Way
She didn't know why I wanted her to wear the big white dress shirt, but she put it on anyway. She asked why I wanted her to wear it and honestly aside from the actual reason, I couldn't think of another reason. I told her i couldn't tell her and asked her to please do it. She smiled and did as I asked....

Kendall, Maxwell, and a criminal attorney sat in the court room waiting for the arraignment. The entire process took fifteen minutes and two photographers were there taking pictures of the defendant standing in front of a judge. Those would be sold to various media outlets that would run them as part of the ongoing coverage of Jacob Mitchell's fall from grace....
Chapter 83
"With everything going on, I didn't get a chance to ask you what you thought about the deal I made with Falen."
Allora looked up from the fruit she was eating for breakfast. Beside the small platter of berries and the local equivalent of grapes, called bashos, there was also a small bowl of a porridge made from a grain similar to barley. Mitchell had become fond of it right away. The one this morning had been prepared with athi and some root vegetables....
Keeping her Vow
Aran woke with a sudden start, his senses coming from an almost comforting, muted dullness into screaming reality. He was bound tightly with rawhide strips, his arms pulled behind him and tied at the wrists to the far side of a stout tree. He flexed his shoulders and biceps, powerfully built as he was he could not break his bonds. He figured it to be just before dawn, the fire had burnt down to smoldering gray ash with the vaguest stirring of faint orange within when the wind blew, easily...

Chapter One: A Desperate Arrival
Mella's cloak hung heavy on her shoulders. She'd walked for days and her whole body ached. She hadn't known hunger like this since she was a child. Yet despite the chill in the fog that covered the road, a warmth radiated through her core, a reminder of what drove her to take to the road....
The neighborhood is big, so getting new neighbors is somewhat commonplace.
However, what is less common is having neighbors move in directly next door. Bless the Smith's hearts, but they unfortunately had to be transferred to a home. They were a sweet couple, having shared fifty years and never letting that joy die. Chris found hope in the light of their shared life. A love that was kindled steadily like a bonfire over the years. Something that didn't need to be fought for, but was instead tended to and ...
Chapter 14- Kitty Rounds The Bases
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 in the fourth game of the National League Championships at 3 o'clock on a Friday afternoon on the Phillies' home field, sweeping the first four games of the best-of-seven series and setting up a fully Los Angeles World Series against the Angels, who had beaten the Toronto Blue Jays 4 games to 2 the day before. The city, understandably, went wild with baseball fever....
You walk in to find a note on the counter with your name on it. "Ominous..." You mutter as you slough off your bag and shoes by the door. Making it over to the counter you rummage the contents. Two pictures, a receipt from our favorite accessory store, and a note tumble out.

Chapter Eleven
The Princess returned, leading Ambree. The older woman had a subtle hint of amusement on her face as she looked around the room, her eyes settling on the puddle at the back of my circle. "Yes, something is definitely wrong here," she said in place of a greeting.
"He failed the ritual again," The Matron explained. "This time, he almost killed us."...
Chapter Seven
The days passed with Jacob clinging carefully to his routines--morning guitar practice, exercise, work, evening painting--but with one notable difference. In quiet moments, his mind kept returning to the songs he'd shared with Jet, imagining how her voice might transform them. At night, he found himself jotting down additional notes, alternative bridges, counter-melodies that might complement her interpretations....

Chapter 12: SUCCESSION
Gertie finds the next matriarch
It was on a beautiful early spring Sunday morning Gertie approached the young woman that Jake had only admitted on the drive over to the starting point of their walk that he had invited one of his work colleagues and her two teenage children to join one of the monthly rambles that Gertie had designed for young families to participate in....
Chapter Two
On weekends, he was a busker playing downtown by the farmer's market. There was a particular corner sheltered from the wind that, for some odd reason, had excellent acoustics--a natural amphitheater created by the brick buildings and concrete overhangs. Jacob had discovered it by accident nearly a year ago, when ducking out of the rain with his guitar case. He'd strummed a few chords and been startled by how the sound carried, clear and resonant, bouncing off the surrounding structures in...
Chapter One
The morning light filtered through dusty blinds, casting bars of gold across Jacob Whitney's bedroom. He stood before the mirror, his daily ritual of confrontation. The young man's face and neck were scarred, horrifically scarred--a gift from a maddened Pit Bull eleven years ago when he was just eight years old. A surgeon had done his best, but there was only so much he could do with flesh that had been torn and mangled. The scars ran deep, creating valleys and ridges across what had once bee...
Author's note
This was originally planned to be a more traditional epilogue, with just a snapshot of where the characters were 20+ years in the future. However, as I began to write it, I realized I wanted to go into some details of how they got there. However, I didn't want to get into a lot of detail. I settled on writing this as an extended epilogue which will give a bunch of brief snapshots at various key points in the future over the next 22 years....
Chapter 1
Marie was a Filipina who had worked in Dubai for several years as a nanny and housemaid for a rich local family. Her main task was to look after the older girl who was 15 when she started working there. Now this daughter, Noora, was 18 and she had applied to study in a college in UK. Her parents were liberal, so they agreed that Noora could study there on two conditions. The first condition was that she had to study in a smaller city and not in London because there were too many temptations...
Since her first visit to his house, they had gone to Andrew's every Wednesday night for dinner, which were generally intimate affairs with only the five of them in attendance. After several weeks, Andrew had to postpone their meeting while he flew to Vermont. His sister took a bad fall and he had to go back to check on her and his nieces and nephews, which made them postpone the visits and eventual sale by two more long weeks. While there, he planned to check out a few houses and might need to delay more to...

So, here we are, in a brand new place, going to a brand new school, and wi...
